0/4/6/0/4 or 0/5/5/0/4 are pretty nice with power sword/shield + longbow
lots of soft cc, some hard cc, decently strong aa on sword, fire field on longbow is crazy strong and synergizes well with the blast and double leap finishers.
They are very fun in spvp and pretty stronk atm.
In wvw they’re fun to solo roam on, good in smallgroups, but don’t bring a whole lot zerg play. Can still be entertaining to nadespam on zergs from 1500 range sometimes, though.
Can you explain why? Melandru has more -12% vs -15% condi duration. Am I missing something?
Melandru has -25%, Antitoxin has -24%.
It’s a 1% difference, and you gain might on poison/torment and +condi damage when you run Antitoxin.

Condi engi is fine against all but condi builds. But I need a secondary build if I see in soloQ I play against 2 necros + 1 condi warrior + 1 wild bill thief.I can’t kill a condi necro with condis and against warrior is also not so easy. So I think about going for chill or for HGH
There’s really not much you can do versus such a condi heavy team on engi. Most I can recommend is sticking to group fights on a build you know how to play.
Condi warr can be beaten on engi, and you should be able to take condi teefs down on-point.

I used to run a build with Grenth runes too, works pretty well. Keeping ppl in a movement and skill recharge lockdown is a key to defeat 90% of the builds out there.
Even condi spamming necros.Too bad AR was hit s badly, i cant really use that build anymore. Now its back to basic boring HGH spammer build, since i find that about the only grandmaster trait still any good. And Granadier. I wonder when they will get nerfed.
Could you post a build that is good to beat condi necros?
Is HGH + Chill possible?
I wouldn’t recommend taking +chill duration runes over +might duration in an HGH build.
Tried these last night, kept some PU phant mesmer chilled for the duration of 4 fights. Fun stuff.

How many of those 115 truly require a dev response, though? A lot of them are just toxic.
Rune of krait basilisk spiking from stealth requires a stunbreaker, condition clear, and heal (if backstabbed) to counter. Unless your a psychic and can dodge stealthed attacks.

If I am chain dazed and stunned by two warriors, does stun become skill-less?If I get shatter bursted by two mesmers
Does shatter become unskillfull?If I get perma fear pingponged between two necromancer’s
Does fear become unskillfull?Why are we even talking about 2 v 1 or 1 vs multiple anyway?

Thief, ele, ranger, warrior, engineer.
The difference between those stun chains and the immob stacking is that they had to wait until the other persons cc was over to get the maximum effect. With immob stacking, you don’t have to wait.
Go ahead and nerf IP on engi.

How would be the finishers?

With Runes of Strength + Sigil of Battle + Sigil of Strength alone, you get like 12 stacks of might from just fighting, sometimes more. Add in Enhanced Performance and you creep on 20 stacks. This is WITHOUT HGH. There’s not reason to run that skill in PvP as there aren’t enough conditions for it to be necessary and there are methods of getting high might stacks without it. Also, healing turret is more than enough.
It’s also false that it’s more damage. The best damage for engineer is swapping through high damage cooldowns on multiple kits. I generally go Rocket Turret, Grenade Kit, Elixir Gun in PvE and swap between all my high damage stuff. The DPS is crazy. If I was just running Rifle + Grenade Kit with HGH, my DPS would suffer.
I meant more damage out of the skills you use. Oh, and go with Aristocracy runes if you want to use condi.
3kit to hgh, you’re basically trading different types of damage + utility for higher damage and potentially more condi clear.
Asura with skimpy armor would be awkward. Who would want that?

perplexity is the only reason p/s is in the meta. honestly, without cheese mode confusion, thered be no reason for it to even exist outside of southsun cove.
P/S is really strong without perplexity. Stun chains, reflect, blast finisher. All very nice.

According to the blog post you need to use ONE CHARGE for each skin to unlock it PERMANENTLY.
“Unlocked skins can be applied to items infinitely (for just one Transmutation Charge), which makes it much less stressful to try out a new look for your character, since you can always switch back!”
You “unlock” the skin when you obtain it, and then you can apply it to items “infinitely” as long as you have charges, at the cost of 1 charge per use.

2. Keep PvP titles the way they are now (after rebalancing for rank points earned in tourneys of course). This way, the titles will still be very difficult to achieve and those of us who have the rank points for higher titles will still be able to retain them and work towards the highest tier over time.

sPvP players don’t get experience by playing in it. In WvW, players gain experience from events and killing things.
I’m not saying it’s a bad idea, just pointing out that the two don’t really compare.
Players also got experience for the LA events. And much more of it than they would have gotten if they’d spent that time playing WvW. And yet, they could still buy tomes.
Fair enough! That is a better comparison, although the LA content was not permanent content.
The “temporary” content is just thrown back in again in a different setting. PvE “Meta event” zerg might as well be permanent content by this point.

I would replace AR with “tool belt ability removes 1 condition” (F1,F2, F3, F4) and move it to master tier. For a normal condition build this means 1 condition removal every ~8 sec.Once again. We are the worst condi removal class in the complete game. And you ask for removing the last possiblity to have a chance against other condi classes.
Sure the decap engi is bad for soloQ. Sure it should be nerfed. But go and play a condi engi and face a condi necro, a condi mesmer, an other engineer, a condi warrior. You have to play like Ostricheggs on dope to beat condi heavy classes with a normal condi engineer.
I really pray that the devs are cool enough to see the problems of the spvp NON decap engineers.

As they are currently, it would probably be really competitive with them there.
I dunno, population charts would show classes are pretty evenly spread.
They have shown such things before though, which showed that engineers were one of the least played, if not the least played, profession. The particular chart I’m thinking of was released quite a while back though, I’m not sure where it’s sitting at currently (possibly in some old forum thread).
I’d say engineers are more common than they used to be though.
If you want to be unqiue in your build, that shouldn’t be hard though. Make a p/p build with full magi gear, put 14 points in all trait lines, and use A.E.D., toss mine, rocket turret, personal battering ram, and mortar. I guarantee you’ll be the only one.
Toss mine is legit though, use elixir u instead.
