Gonna rain on the parade a bit… the OP’s question was, I think, for sPvP, not WvW. As we know, you can get a lot higher stats in the latter than the former. Would it still be the same (Soldier Amulet with Berkserker gem?) in PvP?

Zerker amulet + zerk jewel (Or Valks Jewel) with 30 in defence + doly signet is still a VERY good 2700 armor, more if you go with a toughness runset like Melandru.

Problem #2 with condis: damage is not spread out over multiple stats…you only need condi damage. Which means stacking defense and kiting is the best way to use condis since you’ve already maxed your damage through one stat.
Try playing condi necro or condi engi with no condi duration or precision.
Try getting condi duration on your gear. Let me know how that stat works out for ya.
You can’t, as it would be crazy OP if you could stack condition duration that easy. This is also why there’s no Giver’s ascended weapons.

Impale is pretty ridiculous if you get hit by it. Current pin down → impale is a combo I see a lot of condi warriors using, hopefully the Pin Down rework will tone down condition warrior a fair bit.
Lots of engis in pvp, a few in wvw.
In terms of engis who understand the class, yes we are still rare.
i think dps comes mostly due to bugged fiery greatsword #4. yet i’m not saying the dps is low, but elementalist is really a hard class to master, probably the hardest along with the engineer.
engineer is so hard to master, not. there are no hard to play class in this game, only hard enemy, not happening often in PvE tho.

A little bit of cavaliers can be good, but I’d never recommend going FULL cavaliers unless you have very high fury chance or other +prec/crit chance bonuses.

Sounds like Dee Jay is a necro. Most other classes can stomp pretty easily. Try using a speed boon. Speed boons makes your stomps faster.
By speed boon, I imagine you mean quickness and not swiftness.
Actually, I mean regular speed boons. Last I knew, they increased stomp speed. Like that engie speed/skill that allows them to stomp before your downed skills even pop up.
The only thing close to that is Elixir U.
Which is quickness.

Well shield is very good for blast finishers to so it’s not all about shield = perplexity…. even tho perplex is a very nice rune even after nerf.

Except for, you know, the fact that 17k over six Life Blasts averages to about 3k per Life Blast, which isn’t even that big a power hit.
Attaching Dhuumfire to Life Blast is a bad idea in my opinion, but not because Life Blast is too powerful.landing single backstab takes more then #111111111111111111

as has been said before, the problem isn’t ele being bad,
its other classes having everything far too easy.I agree with this. Compare ele with say decap engi. Ele is incredibly hard to play in order to be good. Engi you can just run around spamming bombs/grenades and be good.

Ascended weapons and armor. All are account bound, so you have to make them yourselves or get stupidly lucky on loot.
Because if they were it would be extremely Overpowered. The elixir gun is already one of our best kits. HGH would be renewed as a massive meta, and extremely powerful at killing everyone, as elixir gun offers already massive support. Reducing the skills recharge by up to 40%, increasing the regen duration would be very helpful, and the HGH means nades + elixir gun + elixir s/b would be unstoppable.
This guy, this guy doesn’t know kitten. EG is easily the worst kit that offers nothing, not to mention HGH has always been limited to nobrain builds good for only pubstomps.
Anyway It’s weird phrasing, elixir traits were never intended to affect it.
Elixir gun is probably one of the best kits we have. Fumigate ALONE makes it worth taking, then you add in the stunbreak, snare, spammable weakness, aoe healing, and a high damage blast finisher.
It may not be as "focused’ as some of the other kits, but that doesn’t make it weak by any stretch of the imagination.
Is this the “leaked” patchnotes? Cause those are looking pretty fake. What source do you have for this?
Secondly, why is Healing Turret OP now based on a potential change in the future?
Healing turret is generally accepted as a VERY strong healing skill. Any buffs to it would probably make it OP.
And Anet has stated that the “leaked” patch notes are mostly fake, so the turret change is probably not happening.
How popular is EoTM these days? Is there a way to tell how many instances of it are open?
Not entirely sure, but I entered EoTM ~4 times yesterday almost back to back due to my game crashing , and noticed entirely different players/commanders the third and fourth time I went in. So, from that, at least 2-3 instances a bit after NA primetime, which is a fair bit of players. I only remember cuz I was talking to one of the commanders the first time I went in :P
There are probably way more instances up at once, but it’s really hard to check accurately.

I guess you missed the part that said base CD would be changing as well. For all we know, the cool down will remain at 15 seconds when picked up. Maybe it was done to put a harsher consequence on exploding it in the water field. Either way, its a little early to start panicking and declaring HT as a new heal signet. Love a fellow engine

it won’t allow conditions you apply to have a bonus of more than 100% (double)
BUT if what I’ve read from dev posts is correct, then if an opponent has -condi duration bonuses, then it will not subtract from 100% but from your actual bonus. Meaning if someone has melandru runes, you could still apply +100% duration conditions to them. (126 – 25 = 101)
Yeah. If you have 126% extra duration, and a warrior is running -98% cripple/chill/etc duration, you will still have +28% duration over your base.
I personally don’t see the point in going over 70% duration.
You may have missed the part where they stated they were increasing the base cooldown to match, so it should still be a 15 second cooldown when picked up.
I assume that means blasting it will now SIGNIFICANTLY reduce HP/s in return for the higher initial heal, instead of the slight (~30ish hp/s) loss it gives currently.

For traits, x/10/x/x/10 or x/x/x/10/10 can help your survivability a lot by adding Swiftness + vigor. As you have 30 points, I’d recommend 10/0/0/10/10, traiting bomb radius, invigorating speed, and speedy kits.
Grenades aren’t very good until you can trait Grenadier, which you can’t do until L60.
Cause Healing Signet and ultra high stats. With full zerk u can get 3k armour 20k hp tell me thats not op.
lol, the highest you can get is 2800 armor with full zerk, 30 points in defense, toughness runes and Dolyak signet at which point the build is no longer zerk. use up your Dolyak Signet and you are down to 2700 armor, if your health drops below 90% you are now 2600 if Doly Signet is on CD. You would also need 20 points in Tactics to get 20 k health, even less zerk.
@OP People started crying OP when warriors because the anti condition meta. Now all those people playing condi-bunkers are crying cause their OP builds are getting destroyed by the rock to their scissors.

I’ve been playing a bunker guardian in PvP and I love when I see someone try decap engi. I can almost see the surprise on their face when they drop Big Ol Bomb and it doesn’t launch me while I proceed to knock them out of the point and immob them. They run back in and I knock them out and immob them again with my other weapon set. Yes, two can play at this game. AR? Sorry, AR doesn’t help you against chained CC. Hammer ring a ding ding!
(Note: the majority of decap engis seem to be noobs to engineer. Once in awhile I come across someone who actually knows what they are doing.)

Shout hammer war isn’t fantastic for smallscale play. It can be good with the right group comp, but a healway guard will typically outshine it in groups<10.
If you want to get beter at smallscale play, you have to spec for smallscale and practice it, you can’t expect to move flawlessly between 25+ to <10/1v1. It’s a whole different ballgame.
One of the best things you can learn to do to have a better chance in smallman play is learning to dodge. What to dodge, when to dodge, how to dodge are some really basic things that a lot of players simply don’t know how to do.

Vash (Vashury/Vash Bash, or something) has some videos with clips of them fighting thieves.
Meta thief vs Mesmer is a very tough matchup from the start, as thief can have nice protection uptime from “Consume Plasma”, lyssa proc, and boonstrip, as mesmers have natural access to protection.
Try to interrupt their stealthing. GS 5, staff 5, sword 3→f3 are all good ways to get semi-reliable interrupts on their attempts at stealthing, be it from Hide In Shadows, BP + HS, and GS 5 also works vs Shadow Refuge.
Naturally, its hard to completely shutdown their ability to stealth/restealth, on a basic shatter spec, so you have to be good with negating their main damage (backstab).
When they successfully stealth at 50-75%+ health, they’ll likely attempt a backstab quickly, so counting to 3 and then using blurred frenzy (you should definitely be using this as a mainly defensive tool verses thieves) or distortion to evade/invuln their backstab damage.
If they stealth at low health, they may try and regen/heal up for a bit and play defensively instead, which forces you to do the same since they can outstealth you.
Assuming they nerf decap engineer (which really affects such a small part of the population), just afraid it will have a cascading effect on ALL other engineer builds, who are in no way considered overpowered.
I can see anything they do severely affecting power control, SD, and any build that invests heavily in Alchemy, be it for elixir traits or the passive defense traits.
Anything that nerfs power control or SD is totally unwarranted, though the alchemy trait line could use some toning down.
I like it because it’s perfect for Fire Grabs extra damage, and is high burning uptime to keep dps up in between bursts vs regen heavy builds.
