Guild Wars 2

Both me and my gf are looking for a PvE guild that can do daily fractals (50+ included) with relative ease. We both have 125 agony. We will be available each week for missions pretty much without fail. We also like to run dungeons so we’d definitely prefer a group enjoys that aspect of the game. The guild needs large enough to do these things nightly. We would be willing to run raids (not a requirement that the guild does raids) if wanted. High level guild would be nice, but not required.

We’re both friendly, but also like to get things done efficiently. We’re pretty much on nightly so participation isn’t an issue. We also don’t mind repping (can not 100% rep due to other guilds we do things with very rarely but are too small to really be productive). We’re not easily offended or anything like that and don’t mind helping people with stuff.

I have every class to 80, and 5 with elite specs maxed + gear. I main a mesmer. I’ve played the game since release in both WvW and PvE fairly heavily.
She has 6 80s, 4 with elite specs maxed + gear, and mains an ele.

The aoe cap is an issue that will plague this game until death. They will not fix it. All you can hope for is that it stands as a lesson for future games attempting a similar form of pvp.

Just quit, it won’t get them to fix anything because the major issues can’t be fixed. They’re the foundation in which the game is built on. To top it off their casual friendly philosophy won’t be steering them to make the game enjoyable for any hardcore player anyways so move on and try to forget what the game could’ve been.

Yeah between retal on block and retal on cof you should have no issues keeping it up at all. It’d be nice to have some aoe retal without having to run our kittenty signet, but you can’t have it all I guess. I’d kill for stability worth a kitten though…. even if it meant losing an elite for a transform that gives stability.

Anonymity is a beautiful thing. Noone has to care. Unless you’re one of those people that put a guild name on a job app.

That aside, it’s funny to watch everyone get dirty with the forum trolls. The real troll is that the zerger trash think they’re good on all sides You aspire to be the best mediocre players in a casual game.

It has always seemed fairly weak to me. I run it just because it’s a low cd elite for solo stuff (good for rezzing too). That said, I always though it needed something else… like a transform or clone summoning.

We’re trash for large scale, but for small scale (pvp and small group wvw) we’re very strong. I’d love for us to have more impact on larger fights even if it meant losing portal and/or veil, but it hardly makes us the weakest class.

Our build diversity right now is fairly terrible, but there are some decent fringe builds if you want to change things up.

PS most of those cleanses blow alone, requiring us to stack many of them to achieve what many others can do with 1 utility or heal. You can cleanse allies, grats… ele and guard will put you to shame in that regard and still have far better self cleansing.

How useless we are in large scale wvw compared to most other classes. Portal/Veil is our role, and at this point I’d rather lose them and get something good for large scale other than being able to tag people with weak confusion or killing myself from retal with reflect.

Constant nerfs… pull the trigger already, this long drawn out nerf chain is like being waterboarded with bad ideas.

After that… bad traits (like every other class), and lack of viable builds. At least some effort was made recently, but not enough to change anything.

WvW sucks for many reasons, but getting spawn camped because you won’t make a decent group isn’t one of them.

Yeah mesmer in small group combat is a bit over the top. That said they’re trash for large scale… portal bots with little impact on the fight past that, that another class can’t do better with less sacrifice. Love the class, but balance in this game is wack since they ignore almost everything outside the realm of 5v5 spvp.

All skills/traits have confusion replaced with torment. Remove confusion from the game. Balance application accordingly.

If they could I’d say make clones/phantasms only damaged by targeted abilities with them as the target. Sadly they can’t so my 2nd one would be the complete removal of portal from the game. You might say “well that’s a nerf”, but we’re getting chain nerfed for something and it kitten sure isn’t our mad dps or decent utility.

If not the portal thing than just buff our condi removal.

Meh w/e I quit mesmer for wvw awhile ago. Portal and veil are crutches, everything else a mesmer brings are easily replaced by a class with better utility and damage. At least we’re still fine for spvp

Sounds like a lazy fix to the fact that they nerfed chaos armor when they made the staff 4 give prot on use. It’s give and take, but it’s better for groups now… just worse for the mesmer himself.

BT blurs for the same reason they don’t GvG, its simply a blob guild only. Any accomplishment in game that they do will always be accompanied by having a full BL at their backs. It’s such a shame to watch those video tidbits we get each week, everyone here on SoR just keeps hoping that maybe they can step out of that protective blob of theirs and challenge themselves, but every week we are disappointed As I stated before BT, TW is more than willing to pop your cherry and fight you in a GvG. Yes I know the story already BT about how you enjoy the random terrain fights, and never knowing when a fight will come, but until you prove your skill with equal numbers against any of the fine T1 GvG guilds., your guild will continue to be the laughing stock of T1 with that protective blob of yours.

We get more enjoyment from the rage tells and trolling than any sort of recognition on the forums. Me personally, I don’t mind the whole gvg thing and wouldn’t mind doing it. That said, I’d prefer it were more like daoc’s 8v8 where you still have a roaming element to it… sadly that’s not possible in this game. Tiny maps and all that jazz.

They could always just throw up invisible walls to prevent things like eyefinity allowing people to shoot over walls with arrowcarts. This could also be used to prevent targeting a ceiling. kitten they already have these on certain keeps and towers (upper E side of garrison outter just above the SE gate, and the W side of NE tower). I guess that’d require too much effort though.

My favorite was the 3way blob fight in sor hills… you know it’s bad when you can walk through 100+ and take no damage.

We’re only a joke in wvw atm… and even then just for large scale which is pretty much everything in the upper tiers. I can honestly say we do better now that I’ve gotten all of our mesmers to reroll and weened us off the portal/veil crutch. Small scale is still fine though… unfortunately we’re below everything except rangers in large scale.

The genre has been homogenized for the most part. To say advances have been made is… a bit silly. Some things are easier, and arena net actually went forward with their grand experiment, but they are the exception not the rule. That said I’d consider the experiment a failure, but at least they tried… which is more than I can say for anyone else in the past few years. You skipped over the doom and gloomers as well as the fanbois though.

One isn’t happy until the game burns, the other feels like any criticism is like a death threat to their family.

AoE cap removal would solve alot of zerg issues… that said their servers can’t handle it supposedly.

Better grouping, removal of the aoe cap, siege nerfed into the ground against players, one giant map as opposed to 4 tiny ones…. none of that will happen except maybe grouping though… they’re too deep to dig themselves out at this point. The woes of having a game look too pretty, can’t handle numbers like it should so we get a shoddy version of what this could have been.

Only necro got a decent version and honestly it’s less about the application and more about the immobolize at the end. I wouldn’t worry about it much.

Nothing for large scale other than on interrupt immobolize and the halting strike buff which I’m pretty sure can’t crit. 1v1 buffs… like mesmer needed those. Hope they’re fake because this is the opposite of what we need. Oh well.. I run focus+ gs so maybe halting strikes will still be an ok buff.

spvp focused discussion when it’s the weakest aspect of the game. Let them have it, they need it… poor spvp players under the delusion they might still get an esport.

Don’t worry about mesmers getting torment if those patch notes are correct. The application is trash on a melee counter ability. Underwhelming changes for many classes and quite a bit of nerfs hidden in there even to classes that are weak… lol @ warrior leg specialist.

Hope we have decent application… looking forward to dusting off the rabid gear.

If they go criticizing devs in a live stream you won’t see them show up for another one. It’s a sad state, but w/e… they’re not fixing this thing anytime soon.

Games designed for pve tend to have terrible pvp. Best hope you have is some niche game with no pve at all… hard to focus on pve when it’s not there to begin with.

Yeah the buff was not needed. Time to tone down the damage and find a way to address fov hacks and stop giving an advantage to those running 3 monitors.

Large scale wvw you’re pretty much portal/veil kitten with a little flavor on top. I hate spvp so wouldn’t know about there, but since we great in small scale it’s probably the best place for a mesmer atm.

Build an arrowcart and then camp on it.

1. Build Diversity (Many traits need to be straight up combined to make room for new ones)
2. More game modes (Personal #1, but obviously build diversity would be better for the game)
3. More maps (More of a backup for #2, if you won’t make more modes… the next best thing are new secondary mechanics and perhaps larger maps).

I’ve seen some interesting things in t1 so far that I haven’t in t2. That said, for the most part it’s a coverage difference…. for me that makes it more exciting.

Far better than when everything worked. I’ll never miss arrow carts.

At this point, I don’t think they know what testing is.

You couldn’t ignore 15 arrowcarts before =p I don’t mind 2 or 3 arrowcarts now, but when you can place 10-15 like before, if not more because of the increased range and the increasing popularity of using “3 monitors” it gets insane.

I play between 60 and 80 hours a week purely in WvW at the moment and Im still yet to be killed by an AC or even killed partly by damage from AC. I must be OP, nerf me please.

Nah you’re just on an arrowcart 60-80hrs a week so you don’t die =p That or you have the situational awareness of helen keller and didn’t notice the rain from above.

I just look at the red circles yo. I pride myself on this apparently difficult artform. Also I don’t like to man AC unless I really have to as it doesn’t really fit my playstyle and I prefer to be fighting. Depending on my class I will stand underneath AC fire for a ram. Currently the ram goes down well before I need to back off. Rams, do you even lift?

Troll less, you can’t move faster than the mouthbreathers click. I hope noone dies soley to an arrowcart but to say they don’t drastically change fighting is a lie. If you weren’t in T1 I’d give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you haven’t seen 15 arrowcarts raining from the sky.

Personally i’d rather they empower player aoes, not siege that begs for fov exploits.

It’s easy to get in a full server. That said, I agree with the rest that FA/JQ could both use your help. DB or BG if you want to play with guilds from KN.

Nah it’s happening to everyone in guild (60+). Nothing fixes it, and the green dots always show up on top.

Can’t argue here… hopefully they break siege again soon.

I think FA is the only server I could think of that truly needs RE, with BT gone I think they could use more NA players. SoR while they have room don’t seem to be hurting for NA, but they’d know better than I how their queues look at those times.

I wouldn’t touch DB for 30k gold, and since you’re from the kaineng bandwagon I doubt you’re looking for Kain 2.0 anyways.

Small groups are viable in smaller tiers. At the same time arrow carts make it even harder for small groups to do anything. Get used to taking camps unless you’re in a tier where it’s possible to ninja something.
