Alright, i was playing lunatic inquisition and some people (that i wont say the names here) starting complaining and “ordering” the survivors to die to complete the event faster so they could farm the rewards, and after standing up against that and refusing to die, i got flammed and called selfish etc etc etc, about how i refuse to help the majority….
OP, you had wonderful situation where you can troll the kitten out of other people and there was no way they could get you banned for this and you complain? This is even more fun than luring Eye of Zhaitan to a group of bots. Next time someone angers you that way just do your best to ruin his day instead of crying on the forums – feels a lot better.

I think I’m one of the few that disliked Tybalt from the very beggining and was actually glad when he died.
I’d really like to play as a Wallow. Unfortunately they are from Cantha.
(no, I don’t have anywhere close to 2000 gold, but I can dream, right?)
You don’t have to. Just borrow gold from a few friends for a minute and the achievement will pop up. So giving this title higher tiers isn’t really a good idea.
Time gating is what keeps grind in check. If it weren’t there then people who have more time and money than everyone else would get their gear long before everyone else.
They already did.
If you don’t stack MF then i doubt you’ll see any difference by adding 20% MF. Anyway for CoF 20% GF gilded infusion is the way to go.
Basic rule of thumb: if you see a terrain exploit, use it.
There, I fixed it for you.
There is no need for mounts.
Oh, look – it’s this thread again. There is no need for mounts in GW2.
1. Buy a lot of beer
2. Throw a party of all ANET emplyees
3. Go to the party (as the investor I’m allowed to get in)
4. …
5. VOMIT
I know… But camping the cache feels like cheesimg it to me :/
This achievement doesn’t require skill, it’s just a boring grind, so cheesing is not a problem.
I don’t think that that’s the intention…
I think the intention is to kill 50 pirates in any way you want.
Try to die before the lasers are activated and just stay dead, maybe this will help.
I never liked Tybalt, he annoyed me all the time and I was actually happy to get rid of him. But his death was meaningless and felt “forced”. It was like “we need a dramatic story, so I’ll die now, cya”. That’s what I felt.
I think that you know that portals are breaking the game and trivializing content. I think you know that you are wrong. I think that is why you are so aggressive. I think you just want to have your liscence to steal at any cost.
You think a lot, obviously.
People are being ported to the end chest of the new jumping puzzle from the waypoint outside of the puzzle. They never even have to enter the puzzle. They need not make a single jump. They don’t even have to find the jumping puzzle entrance.
So they get the reward easly – what is the problem with it?
The devs spent alot of time developing that content. Portal, as it is, is just a slap in the face to their efforts. That’s just not right.
The devs also created portal, so every use of it is a tribute to their creativity.
I’ve nothing against seeing people helping others, but this has gone way beyond just helping someone. Porting someone up a jump, or even a small series of jumps, that they can’t seem to make is great and desired. At least with that they are seeing the content and trying to do it. Bypassing all the content, the entire jumping puzzle is not.
From what I seen bypassing most of the JP using portal was desired by many.
Bypassing walls in WvW, and using the skill to skip content in dungeons is not justifiable either.
This is a valid tactic. In WvW it can be countered with mesmer sweep, in PvE using portals only benefits the team, no one is hurt that way.
I don’t think people should be rewarded for skipping content.
Why not? Skipping is approved by the devs. Also skipping can require more skill than actually killing the mobs, if it weren’t that way you wouldn’t have threads about skipping being awful thing because people can’t skip properly and just die.
Those of you who can claim this is right are just dishonest.
I think they just have a different opinion than you. Nothing dishonest in that.
I think your primary problem is that you like some way of playing the game that not many people care about. Just play as you like and let others play as they like and we’ll all be happy.
On the basis of group buffs, DPS potential, and overall usefulness, at least in PvE, from best to worst:
Engineer
Guardian
Ranger
Warrior
Mesmer
Elementalist
Thief
NecromancerNote how high ranger is on that list.
Engi OP, please nerf
First I thought this was a bad idea but then I read lordkrall’s post and it became awesome instead
So if I think that the best feature in WvW is the ability to kill Quaggans, I’m a racist and should be banned?
Why are you so willing to accept that people are allowed to simply skip content and take what they want, while others earn it?
So someone will get an achievement and a chest 5-8 minutes faster, is that really a problem? For them the reward is getting to the end chest fast while for others the reward is the experience of doing the JP. Some people will want to do the JP without portals just for fun/challenge. Many mesmers offered portal to help others including myself. People spend their time and ported others helping them and wanting nothing in return and then people like you come and blame them for ruining the game.
but that last boss is one of the most boring/pointless fights Ive played in an mmo.
Did you ever tried the boss of the permanent dungeons ?
Not even the meatbags in HotW are as boring as AR final boss.
Still better mechanics than Jade Maw.
Don’t you feel alone in this thread?

1. Wallow
2. Moa
3. Devourer
4. Kirin
5. Skritt
I really hate this sort of spoiler.
So don’t read it and problem solved.
2. Mai takes too long and is boring and repetitive. Instead of 4 boring phases make them interesting, like 100%->50%, cannons (only ONCE), different mechanics on 50%->0%,
I thought cannons at 66% and 33% would be a good idea. Also each mechanics in each phase – some easy mechanic in phase one, anoteher easy one in phase two and both of them in phase three – just like in Frizz encounter. In first two phases people could learn the mechanic and in third test their skills. The length of the fight should be simillar to first boss and cannons should fire for 30 seconds maximum.
The last part is not hard, just long.
Exactly this. The last part where you need to dodge the cannons is way too long. I have absolutely no idea how running from red cirles for over 2 minutes and doing nothing else can be considered fun. The first boss is ok, because you can speed the fight by killing golems faster, but in this case you can’t do nothing. The last fight would be a lot better if there would be two series of cannon barrage lasting ~ 30 seconds each. Also different mechanics in each phase wouldn’t hurt, now you just repeat same thing over and over till it’s done.
According to the GW2 wiki it was a Lionguard ship and it’s flying Lionguard flags in the cutscene.
Well, they can always salvage it and build another one.
You are aware that players aren’t going to change?
God, I get so tired of the word “NEED”. You don’t NEED to play the game. Stop dictating what other people find enjoyable about the game!
Oh but finding something enjoyable is a want, not a need.
So?
Destroying the Lionguard ship was not a reasonable course of action.
AFAIR it was a consortium ship.
Take Engineer. Besides grenades, they don’t even have a second pure DPS build.

I hate Quaggan. They’re annoying, ugly, dumb…
Exactly this. Only fun thing involving quaggans is killing them in WvW.
The main problem is that this fractal is extremely long compared to others. At higher levels the amount of mobs after the bomb event (the ones with the champion boss) you have to kill is way too much. They pose no threat whatsoever, have invulnerability for a few seconds when they spawn and you just lure them group by group and wait for the car to crash into gate so you can finally kill the boss and be done with it.
At the cage 2 people stay dead on the switches so the other 3 can keep respawning and going back in, hoping that one of these times they get lucky and the person on the panel doesn’t get interrupted.
Extremely bad idea. A lot better way to do this is to get one person to aggro the dredge and die on right switch, then 3 people camp at the left switch and pull the aggro of the party member that does the gate. Works fine most of the time and you don’t have to rely on luck.
In my opinion protection buff should be removed from those dredge and their numbers could be reduced by half. Also get rid of trash mobs between the events – they make it more tedious and serve no other purpose.
If someone wants to switch at last boss he should ask before the run. And even after that he should see how the party performs, because there are some parties that will wipe if even one person switches. I had a situation once where at last boss two people switched simultaneously without any warning and they were surprised that after loading on an alt they had no party
If Molten Facility would be added as a fractal then people would hate it more then the dredge one just because it’s too long.
If you salvage white items in addition to regular salvage items you should have no problem in getting 500 salvages per month.
There are many many other functionality that has higher priority to me. A LFG tool for one (or GvG or GHs or etc. etc.)
Pretty much this. If they waste resources on a /inspect any time in the next 2 years it will show a massive a lack of vision on Anets part when it comes to priorities. There are so many things that are missing, so many bugs that need to be fixed and so much endgame content that needs to be added that this is really one of the extreme “bottom of the barrel” options. This should be up there with a DPS meter on priorities.
Oh, this argument again. Inspect is alredy implemented in SPvP, so there is minimum work to be done.
I’d like to have a DPS meter so I could compare DPS on various classes, but also on different builds. It would be nice if we could see how much dps we bring by stacking might/vuln or casting time warp etc. But other thing that would be nice as well would be some burst meter since in some encounters high burst damage is much more important then overall dps.
I have no issues with it being shown for myself only since I want it for myself in the first place.
As I stated on another thread – no. Why? Because once that is implemented, the only viable gear would be Berserker and probably the only viable class is War/Mesm followed by Guard.
This has already happened.
what is wrong with just gear pinging?
Nothing, inspect would be just a nice feature that would make it easier, especially for build checking.
It is not like you NEED the skins from the boxes anyway.
Your argument is invalid. It is never about what people need, but about what people WANT. They don’t need to play GW2 at all. You can say that pretty skins are optional but they are the things that keep people playing. Basically “You don’t need to have a house – you can live in a dumpster” is pretty much what you just said.
RNG boxes will stay as long as there will be people that are willing to spend 75-100$ to try and get a ticket for weapon they want. This RNG exists because it is profitable. If you want it gone then stop buying gems as long as those boxes will exist.
Or Anet could add weapon tickets for 600-800 gems. This way people who like to gamble could have the chests and people who want to get the weapon ASAP could just buy the ticket.
You don’t need experience or ascended gear to literally swiftness through an entire dungeon then exploit a boss.
When you get a bunch of people that can’t skip properly next thing you have is someone crying on the forums that skipping doesn’t work and shouldn’t exist.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Why-no-inspect/page/1
We can’t have inspecting because:
- elitism
- mf leechers would get kicked a lot
- healing shouts condition damage warriors want to party too
- as well as other people with
worthlesscreative gear/build combinations - more elitism
- because no
- skill > gear/build (I’m not being carried if I think I’m awesome)
- “The reason it shouldn’t be in the game is the same reason countries have gun laws.”
- it destroys “play however you like” philosophy
- and last but the most important: ELITISM!!!oneonelevensin(90)
I love how a lot of the people saying inspect is a good idea say that you need full zerk gear with the optimum builds to be most efficient and that it’s “respectful” to do so because you have to consider others in the group. Is it just me or is kicking a guy because he/she isn’t amazing, like you claim to be, extremely disrespectful in it’s own right?
Most people advertise that they want full zerker people, so if someone comes and isn’t one they have the right to kick him and it isn’t wrong. People just need to remember about posting all the requirements so that a person wanting to join knows what to expect.
Also playing full zerker build does not mean you are a group player, and in a way means the opposite. You’re sacrificing the ability to stay alive to do as much damage as you can
When you have a good zerker party the mobs die too fast to actually kill something. I had some 2 mes/3 war parties where effigy died in 2 timewarps – you don’t care about survival with such people.
it is really cute too bad i have no gems to buy it
You can farm cof p1 and you’ll get the gold for gems really quick.
I’ve had a ranger not only DPS bosses faster than the zerk war but also take out the gate in about as fast as my theif.
Did he use a bow?
I mean look at it…you judge people by a number.
And gear, race, titles, looks or style of play. Didn’t kick anyone because of low achievement score though or because of the race (even asuras).
Then eventually it will be you sitting in the city looking for a group for hours at a time and not finding one. I stand with the rest..
Or I’ll make a post on gw2lfg and find party in 5 minutes. In CoF p1 it is easy, in everything else I haven’t seen a single gearcheck.
Go to gw2lfg – you’ll see tons of “zerker warrior and 1 mesm only” – wth is with that?
Good start
Except that finding a group of elitists takes far longer than it takes for a group of people to complete the content with less popular builds.
We have to be playing a different game then.
A considerable amount of elitists don’t have static groups, which is evidently clear from GW2LFG. There are a lot of people who make pug groups who demand such and such builds and to ping gear.
And there is nothing you can do to stop it. When players farm they want to do it the most efficient way. There is nothing wrong with that. Also why do you care so much about what people post on GW2FLG. Aren’t we free to look for any group we like? Is anyone forcing you to join such group? Don’t people have the right to farm in an efficient way just because you feel bad?
I would rather take that 10 min run over the 7 min one.
When doing a daily run I don’t bother as well. But when I need some gold and have to spend 1-2 hours then 10 min runs aren’t acceptable.
Relaxed and fun people to be around is one hell of alot more fun than elitist pricks.
For normal gampelay: yes. For CoF farming – no. When farming I usually chat on TS with friends as most players care only about gold when farming which isn’t a bad thing.
How often is it you see a lfg…that isn’t full…that takes all classes/professions/gear?
In map chat pretty much all the time.
Besides, my 79 ranger in 75 carrion greens no acc, rings, or backbrace preformed better survival wise…than 2 zerk wars that were in the party at the time. Gear doesn’t mean kitten.
And a ranger using rare sword/warhorn and GS that can stay alive will outperform archer ranger every time. Pity rangers use bows and then cry that they have no DPS. Also in zerk party when you kill boss in 10-30 seconds you don’t have to worry about survival since mobs die too fast to actually kill anyone.
Zerk kitten is overrated.
Long story short. Skill > Gear. End of it.
Show me one post that says otherwise. With same skill a player with better gear will always outperform the player with worse gear. And the problem is that you can’t measure skill before going in but you can check gear and amount of achievement points. And when I go in with full exo/ascended zerk party and everyone above 6k achi points it always ends in a lot of great runs, so forgive me but I’ll stick to gear checks.
Too bad about GW2LFG though, since all I see are “COF / zerk build / ping gear” calls flooding it. I shouldn’t need to be a “zerker” class because of the needs of the party.
This is a problem with the lack of balance. In CoF only thing you need is raw DPS so people who want to farm efficiently have to advertise for zerk wars because in the current meta it is the fastest way of farming money. Also you don’t have to be zerk, there are parties that accept anyone and do p1, just go with them.
Inspection of gear should be left out. You want to know my stats? See me in action and then maybe I’ll tell you, myself.
You don’t have to ping gear and people don’t have to take you to the party. It works both ways.
