#1Shut down and merge half if not more of the servers
#2Revert Stability changes
#3Get rid of the abomination that is the Desert BL’s
#4Get rid of Glicko
#5Put up a shrine in the middle of each BL so everyone can pray that players return.
You will get them when Anet releases it and you realize they did they opposite of what everyones has asked for over 3 years. This is how things work in opposite world, which just so happens to be where Anet’s top secret WvW office is.
Stab was never an issue, players like to lay blame and stab was an easy target. The reality is 90% of player would freak out and have a seizure on inc and blow everything then stand there like a deer in headlights instead of Kiting, moving, timing their CC correctly and most importantly knowing what CC’s ignore stab. If everyone of your players capable of using CC blows it on inc then just stands there and gets ran over well … that’s a player issue not a mechanic issue.
Aside from that, these people that claim they would return, have they played since HoT and do they know what they would be returning to ? Stability changes hurt WvW but it is only a drop of water in an ocean of issues.
You mean RvR is dead becuse there no other rvr game type out there other then GW2 WvW and that not surprising becuse RvR never last all that long at high number in NA. Its just not a game type that has a long life becuse it going to burn ppl out becuse of the 24/7 game play.
daoc is a clear example that this kind of gameplay can live over 10 years with monthly subs if you do it properly.
That good at all but daoc never was that big and it needed that sub fee to keep going with its pop. At the same time daoc was in a different gaming time where rvr was a comply new thing and with out other pure pvp games out there it has no real composition for both game type and from other pvp like mmorpg games. Times are very different now something like daoc (the old one) would never make it becuse its way too much time investment to have the number of ppl to keep it going.
The truth of things is its worth a lot more money to keep these games going (mmorpg) you need a good size pop to make it worth making/keeping it running. RvR at least pure rvr games do not have that power any more (all though they never realy did in NA its just not a popular game type).
Let me clear things up for you seeing as how you are … uninformed.
- DAoC is still running, it’s older then WoW. I know its hard to believe but there were MMO’s before WoW.
- In that era all MMO’s were sub based.
- It did not lose players because of the game mode type, it lost players when they introduced ToA (PvE end game) and silly gear options that became a treadmill in them selves.
- A large portion of GW2 WvW players came from DAoC because … it’s a popular mode.
- Pure PvP games did exist, as a matter of fact I’ll point you in the direction once again of DAoC and the server named Mordred. I won’t bother mentioning UO because it might be before your time but that my friend was true hardcore PvP, if you died you lost pretty much everything.
- You are correct that it’s a different era and people do have different expectations of MMO’s but assuming that WvW or RvR or AvA is not a popular mode is just your opinion and I would venture to say it is wrong, take a look at CU it was kick started by gamers donating funds and they quickly reached their goal. This shows that there is numerous people both NA and EU that want this type of game mode. Even WvW’s starting population throughout the first 1.5 years is a good example of how popular the mode is.
I spent years playing DAoC and I will be the first to admit they had their fair share of errors and mistakes, the game was not perfect by any means, with that said 15 years is nothing to scoff at so clearly that mode still has a market.
You are entitled to your opinion but I completely disagree that its a case of the mode not being popular, it is however a case of neglect and poor design choices and that is Anets burden to carry. They failed their WvW community in so many ways and they failed themselves imho. They don’t seem to be in any rush to fix their downward spiraling mistakes which just leads me to believe they will continue to fail and once they kill off WvW permanently those failures will start to spill over to PvP (it already has started) and PvE.
They need to set aside those enormous ego’s and humble themselves, though I fear it’s to little to late.

New maps were not the most requested item, in fact, they were probably one of the least requested items. Players were asking for tweaks to the old maps because we saw EotM and were well aware of what we could expect. Now as for things requested, Balanced match ups, new scoring system to determine match ups, new server system, private commander tags, bug fixes for bugs that have been around since launch, commander system upgrades, a way to earn gold in WvW, meaningful defense reasons, WvW unique equipment, and a plethora of other items we have been asking for over the years.
What they did was take players request for BL upgrades/tweaks and went overboard with it by making new maps, they then pass this off as how much work they put into WvW all while ignoring the game breaking changes we needed.
It’s not a KISS problem the real issue is they have zero ability to prioritize, the old maps were not game breaking, some small tweaks could have fixed any map issues. Other issues such as dead servers, lack of economy in WvW, a flawed scoring system just to name a few are all game breaking.
TLDR; their issue is they are doing everything bass ackwards.
Your pixels killed my pixels in a video game QQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQ.
Dueling serious bidness.
Lol at the responses who are agreeing with Anet.
- if you actually put any time into WvW you would be aware that there are Pugmanders who do just that, they pugmand, they enjoy leading pugs and are a very important part of WvW that even the so called Elite commanders respect.
- you would realize that most guild commanders take a turn leading the pugs to give said pugmanders a break.
- if you want to run with a guild so bad then apply for that guild, don’t get all kitten because they want to do guild events.
- if you actually read this thread you would have realized that no one is saying get rid of visible tags.
- for those saying its mass battle, you are aware that even the army has special forces, different squads with different jobs in order for strategy and tactics to work.
- those elite guilds are usually the ones making it possible for you to take whatever structure your working on without getting over run by a map blob, they break up the blob and prevent reinforcements so you can achieve your goal.
There is nothing wrong with private tags, the game has been played this way for 3 years it’s not going to change all of a sudden because guilds get a QoL feature.
This is why I and so many left, not this topic in particular but the response. They literally have no idea what is good or bad for WvW it’s like the team was hand picked from a line up of people that live in opposite land.
They need to hire someone who’s sole job is to walk around and face palm employees that have dumb ideas, it would be the hardest working employee in the office.
We’ve avoided adding this feature because we don’t believe it would be healthy for WvW. While we can appreciate why some players would want a feature like this, lots of other players only engage in WvW when, upon entering a WvW map, immediately see a commander icon to follow. We try and avoid adding features that can be used to intentionally exclude other players.
As opposed to the past and present WvW decisions made by Anet that are clearly healthy for WvW ? How’s that going for you guys ?
There will always be players that pugmand and there will always be players that refuse to pugmand. Having a guild only tag would not change this in any shape or form.
Ultimately the only real answer that can be given is, the mode has lost it’s appeal and no longer enjoyable.
We can’t answer for other people, they all have different reasons but in the end it comes down to is it enjoyable ? The answer is no.
For me, I’ve been playing GW2 since Beta and have watch the mode have it’s ups and downs. I have watched players give numerous suggestions that were great, numerous suggestions that were good, and numerous suggestions that were terrible. Anet doesn’t listen, they may tell you they are but there is a large difference between reading forums and dismissing what you read and reading forums and being and active part of the discussion with your players. those of us who only play or played WvW were in those BL’s all the time, whether they like it or not we know that game mode better then they do, that’s not an insult, it’s a fact. Players do more work and brainstorming then Anet does, that is just sad.
So over the last 3.5ish years we have watched our beloved mode take a back seat to literally everything else in the game. We have had promises and excuses thrown our way, both of which were hollow. It just becomes disheartening when you’re out and out lied to.
So the announcement of HoT hits, things are finally going to shift, we were getting new maps and new spec’s and hopefully some tweaks to improve rewards and other issues that are small but seem to have a large effect on the WvW player base. Betas happened, concerns were raised, concerns were ignored. In comes HoT, our nightmare’s confirmed, the issues raised about the new BL’s were completely thrown out, why did they even bother with Beta ? Those small fixes that would have at least shown us a shred of dedication such as rewards … non existent.
That was it for me, they are either incompetent and simply not capable of supporting a game mode such as WvW or their ego’s have grown far to large. I believe it’s the latter, if it’s not their idea it’s not a good idea, if it didn’t come from the office of Anet, it didn’t happen. They are willing to throw away a niche market that they had cornered because of their ego’s.
I for one have supported this mentality for long enough. Let me be perfectly clear, the WvW forums and the toxicity that they harbor are a direct result of Anets failure to listen, respond, and work with the community.
TLDR;
The game mode has become boring due to lack of attention.
I stopped playing because I refuse to help inflate their ego’s and watch them destroy what I loved.
And for you Anet, be humble, you do need the players help, you do need to acknowledge your players, you do need to respond to post and most of all you do need to listen even when it’s what you do not want to hear.
GL in the future, maybe I’ll be back if things improve.
My thoughts,
It’s great to see someone putting in the effort that Anet should be putting in, it’s disheartening that it is a player that is doing Anet’s job and seems to care more then the company itself.
I’ve stated this before in previous posts of yours, it seems over complicated. I’m sure in reality its very simple but the way it’s been presented gives the illusion of complicated. Because of this illusion I think many players are not convinced due to not understanding. I myself have a plethora of question which I will get around to posting when not at work.
I am concerned with the number of Globes/Worlds/Servers which ever people would like to refer to them as. I think part of the problem right now is there are to many servers for the current population, if I’m reading this right you’re proposing we continue with the number of servers and add new mechanics. I would say just get rid of half the servers (or worlds). You said yourself that more can be added or retired if need be so let’s start out smaller and grow instead of starting out large and shrinking.
Worlds can choose 1-3 enemy worlds to fight against per week. This is a bit confusing and here is why. I understand the concept, you choose X number of servers that you can attack, seems simple but, what happens when I want to attack say BG, SoS, ET and Bob over there on my world wants to attack JQ, DB, AR then Frank wants to attack TC, HoD, Mag ? How do you determine what server(s) or world(s) we will be attack ? If anyone can just choose who they want to attack it kind of defeats the purpose of a home world for anything other than having something to defend.
I’m not against your Idea at all I just think there is A lot to it and it needs some solid clarification in certain areas. At this point I would back up your idea and say yes, but I would like to better understand some of what you’re suggesting.
The harsh reality is no one is playing them so saying they are good because of X, Y, Z is irrelevant. Numbers and actions are the key here and both are failing on the new maps. Its been a month+ it’s time to stop saying “but but their good, people just need to blah” because those arguments are now irrelevant. They are not being played, something needs to be done, all the excuses in the world is not changing this reality.
I tried the new maps, they’re great for PvE, they don’t fit with WvW. Lack of players on the maps aside, they tried to cram to much stuff into the maps, much of which is simply not necessary.
The Lateral map features are an annoyance, the design promotes avoiding fights which is very much a part of WvW. Even for the PvD guilds who may not want to be constantly fighting but the ones I have come across do enjoy fights they just don’t go looking for them.
The structures are way to big, I understand they wanted to increase the size but they went overboard as usual.
The barrier’s (whatever they are called) just get rid of them, we don’t need speed bumps to slow the action down every 10 feet.
The invisible sand stuff … why, just why ? Again it’s unnecessary.
I can see that a Dev or many Dev’s put a lot of work and love into the map, I will not begrudge the effort that was put in, it’s just unfortunate that they didn’t follow the K.I.S.S. Rule. It’s over complicated for what it needs to function as.
The issue is Anet’s definition of “better”
Just last week there were 2 whole players in the new maps for a period of more then 20 min, clearly this means things are better because the week prior it was only 1 player and he left after 5 minutes. So if we just hold out for another year or two we might actually see the 5 people that are left playing WvW show up on the new maps and stay for an Hour.
The maps speak for themselves, it doesn’t matter if there is 5 people on these forums that like them, it doesn’t matter if 1 guild thinks they are nifty. Look at the activity prior to the new maps and look at the activity with the new maps, it’s pretty self explanatory, it’s been a month that’s plenty of time to gauge the failure.
I remember at release when Dungeons were to hard, that lasted for about a week. It’s only a matter of time (and a short amount of time at that) until the first three Raid bosses are on farm.
No it won’t destroy the game.
Why is the timer even a conversation piece? Take away the timers of all the bosses and there are still mechanics which prevent success. Take the second boss, for example. I’d love to see a group try to go much past the timer there considering there are a maximum of 4 gliding phases.
In the Vale Guardian kill, the timer is realistically not an issue. People more frequently fail because they screw up the mechanics. A longer/nonexistent timer isn’t going to change that. You can tank the boss enrage. You can’t easily tank the mechanics.
While that may hold true for VG, Gorseval is a completely different game, part of what make him more difficult is he is a hard DPS check. If you don’t DPS enough in X time you’re not going succeed, take away the timer and it becomes dull and boring because the timer is very much imo part of the mechanic.
Personally I don’t understand the 105 cap on currency, cheapest piece of armor is 150 so why 105 ? It would make more sense to make the cap 150, even at a cap of 150 it’s going to take anyone a considerable amount of time to get a full set of gear and weapons.
So once again, why 105 ? Did you just pick a number out of a hat ?
I think the timer’s are fine, players are beating the encounters so this proves that there is nothing wrong with the time frame. You need to put in work, gear properly, and learn the mechanics. I’m not saying this is the case for OP but for the players that can’t be bothered to gear appropriately and just expect that the content should be nerfed because they can’t/won’t put in the effort is garbage.
The timer adds excitement.
I know of one but I think they might have closed recruiting for the time being, this was done so they didn’t have a large number of players sitting on the side lines. You need to pay close attention to time zones, number of players, days they can attend ect ect. Could be a nightmare for a large PuG guild, also cliques will form within the guild if its to large.
Why exactly are they exclusive to 1-2% of players ? How is it unplayable ? Is it because you expect to just be able to waltz in and 1 shot everything ?
You know the first encounter can be done in 8 minutes right ? So time can’t be the issue.
Ascended armor is definitely not needed, so that can’t be the issue.
I’m having a hard time seeing where this conclusion that only 1-2% of the community can participate came from. Are these factual numbers or just something you decided to throw out there because it suits your weak argument ? From the numbers I’m seeing LFG in map or in the LFG tool + the people outside the portal I’d lean more towards you being part of that 1-2%.
Stop whining and go play the Raids or don’t play them at all, accept that if you do you might actually have to figure out some mechanics.
And for the record anyone with an 80 and exotic gear that has half a clue how to build a character can participate. Your argument holds no water, you are literally whining because you’re not getting your way.
In short QQ
I’m not complaining about the Raid or how it works, I’m saying that those who try to make it out that only HARD CORE players should be able to participate need to change attitude.
Leave Raid’s as it is, but accept that a majority of the players will try to do Raid’s (and by trial and error eventually finish).I’m complaining about the attitude of those who try and make Raid’s exclusive to a small % of the game population.
Um ok, why do you even care ? If you want to Raid then Raid. There is no point to this thread. There will always be people who don’t want PuG’s but there is enough PuG’s that it doesn’t matter.
Why exactly are they exclusive to 1-2% of players ? How is it unplayable ? Is it because you expect to just be able to waltz in and 1 shot everything ?

The content is difficult enough (currently) to warrant this behavior imo. Expectations to form a new group of people every night, explain it every night, fail a bunch every night, and have people who only want to dedicate 30 min to an hour every night is ridiculous.
Maybe have a Guild event, like a Guild Raid Night where the idea is to go with other guild members and let them raid on in their set raid on other nights.
Honestly I feel the OP mentality usually stems from jealousy, the guildies are accomplishing more together and leaving the heard behind. Therefore they should be broken up so they can be stuck on VG for all eternity like everyone else in the guild.
Let them finish, they will be more helpful to your guild and other guildies with the knowledge they will bring once they have completed it.
I really enjoy the raids, I’m casual and usually never PvE, the rest is fine it’s just not my cup of tea, not because I think it’s poorly done, it’s just not what I enjoy.
Now if they could just find a way to allow stat changing on gear to be less expensive (shard wise) and more convenient, I’d have next to nothing to gripe about other then WvW but thats for a different forum.
We spent the night testing different builds and tbh we have come to the conclusion that the majority of Comp needs to still be zerk to complete within the time limit. I personally think it was a cruel joke to lead us on that we needed to be more diverse. One free Stat change on our ascended gear would be quite helpful for those of us that bought in and changed from zerk to be more diverse.
I do enjoy the difficulty of raids but I wish they had actually made different builds viable for more then the Healer and “Tank”.
Zerk meta in full swing still
Why would I give useful info ? Useful info has been plastered all over the WvW forums some of which I have given. The thread topic is a question, I answered that question, providing any meaningful info at this point is moot, they will do whatever they want to do without regard of what the players are asking for or warning against. They proved this when they let none WvW players test the map because they were streamers over the people who could have actually given proper feedback on our behalf. But ya let’s let Doc Got Game and his casual minions who spend most of their time playing other games or PvE’ing test the WvW map because that will surely help provide real feedback.
I cannot speak to the others you personally attack but, I am a primary WvWer, and not a streamer. My guild only has 2 who stream, they do it for fun. 60 of us tested the map.
You are speaking about things that you know absolutely nothing about.
When you refuse to offer productive feedback, even when asked, all that suggest to me is that you do not honestly care about the game, it’s, state, or possibly improving it.
Re-read what I post, you and your friends were not the only ones there and judging by your posts in the past I have a hard time finding you would have given any productive feedback.
What does arenas and GvG have to do with WvW, see Chaba’s response. Lastly once again the topic is a question, the question was answered. If you don’t like my answer that is your prerogative but try to realize not everyone has a carbon copy answer that you will agree with which means all answers or opinions are valid.

I went from logging in daily with the sole purpose of WvW’ing, to logging in occasionally to do dailies and rarely visiting WvW.
No Anet that is not because of how much I’m loving the other content, I’m bored as hell with the new content and WvW had been destroyed for me.
This was suppose to be the time of old players returning to the game, old GvG guilds coming back to take advantage of guild arenas, and just more enjoyment in WvW and the Game as a whole.
It’s depressing just how bad you dropped the ball this time.
I wonder if this will go down a lot like Elites did, couple days before raids Colin will appear and tell us “Oh btw you need to have masteries 100% complete to progress in raids”.
Actual mid-November is the 15th since there are 30 days to the month, which is a Sunday. I doubt very seriously that they will do a patch on a Sunday. So they may do the patch a little earlier during this week or they may take a few days extra and do it early next week. Me personally? I think it will be this week since some people just went as fast as possible and got full masteries already (thou why people do that is something that I have never understood and I have been playing online games a very long time.)
People usually blow through certain content because it’s not exactly exciting content. Masteries are not overly exciting, the stuff you get from them is pretty underwhelming and only usable in a small portion of the game. Now if they were engaging in some way or exciting then people would stretch it out, but in their current form there is literally no valid reason to no blow through them. Once you get updraft and mushroom jumping everything else is just meh.
I would love for Ascended gear to be A LOT faster to make. With Raids in the near future and the indication that Ascended will be more or less needed, it should take less time then it currently does. There is no need for 24 hours per Spool of Thick Elonian Cor or Spool of Silk Weaving Thread, which if you do purely with crafting you can expect to take 36 days. That’s over a month for a suit of armor, if you choose to buy the mats it somewhere in the neighborhood of 800 gold.
Back when Ascended armor was new and shiny I get the reason for time gating, it was an accomplishment to have a full set but now with raids coming within the next couple weeks it’s becoming more or less mandatory. For anyone who wants to run raids on a regular basis it will become a requirement, because it is essentially replacing Exotic gear as the “common gear” there is no need for the repulsive time gate involved.
I suggest leaving a gate if it is really that important which I don’t believe to be true because anyone with gold or a Credit Card can buy a set of Ascended Armor or Weapons. So for the sake of argument, cut the grind in Half, allow for two spools to be created per day If it was cut in half that’s still 18 days for a full set.
Personally I think they should get rid of the Time Gate completely, the moment the mats became available for purchase is the moment the time gate became pointless. I know some will not like the zero time gate suggestion so that is why I suggested half above.
I also am aware that by Taking away or reducing the time gate that it will devalue the Mats, I don’t see this as a problem because the gear is quickly becoming necessity so it make sense that it becomes more common for players to acquire at increased rates or becomes more affordable for purchase. Players will have mat’s needed for Legendary that they can start using as a form to bring in Currency.
Time gates only work when everyone is restricted to time gates, when you allow for the gate to be circumvented with currency or RL money it becomes pay to win.

There is different things you need to take into consideration.
First and foremost the new Elites are new and shiny which means players are naturally going to gravitate towards them because it’s not the same thing they have been playing for the last 3 years. It doesn’t mean the specs are better (they are in some cases but not all) it just means we get to revitalize our interest in a class.
Next is what mode do you mainly play. A lot of people are saying DH is almost mandatory, this might be true for PvE but is not the case for WvW or SPvP. It really does matter what game mode you intend to focus on.
Finally, all the old spec are still playable and viable. Engineer for example as someone mentioned the Scrapper is a power build and gives you the Melee option and is a very capable spec but when Raids finally hit I wouldn’t be surprised to see Scrappers take a back seat to Viper P/P Engi’s.
So in short, no you are not forced, some will function better in different game modes. You see everyone running the new Elites because they are new and refreshing.
Good:
Difficulty, it’s still not overly difficult unless you refuse to adjust and are still running around in Zerker.
Elite Specs, this is the only area I’m happy to see a difficulty nerf, not that difficult is the right word I would say the grind because it was the sheer amount of time it would take per Elite that was the problem.
New Gear, Love the new stats, not really sure how to get a bunch of it but meh non the less the gear is a great addition.
Average:
Maps, I say average for maps because some maps are great while others are underwhelming. I absolutely love VB but because of how well done it is, everything after is just meh.
Storyline, the story itself is good but I found it far to short, now when I say it’s to short I don’t mean it should be hidden behind time gates I mean there should be more chapters, just a personal opinion.
Mastery XP, I’m impartial, I have what I need and have no desire to go any further. I play WvW most of he time so there is no need.
Bad:
NO RAIDS, this was a huge selling point and I feel Anet pulled another bait and switch, I’m very disappointed because as a WvW player I was looking forward to Raids being my gateway between the two modes and am honestly not sure if I will make it till they are released.
WvW changes, they are terrible, you took away anything player driven and made an already frustrating game mode an abomination. Word of advice start listening and communicating with your WvW community.
The new WvW maps, Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to much going on and way to big, there is simply no need for all the extra junk, all you have done it create more lag.
Bugs, it was to be expected but none the less they fall into the bad.
Dragon Stand, this zone gets its own comment, fix it, this is a pretty major issue that needs to be addressed sooner rather then later.
Bored already, with no desire to play the new maps any more then I need to, having my story complete that took less then a day (only a couple hours actually), and being disgusted with what you did to the mode that I love, I find myself running around EB but only logging in only for my daily rewards really. Mid Nov for raids, not sure if I will make it because of the boredom factor, even longer until WvW receives it’s serious attention (that is if you actually follow through with this for once).
Conclusion:
The Average and Bad outweigh the Good, some of the average leans more towards good but still it doesn’t cross the line into good for the reasons mentioned. Xpac content being held back is never a good idea I understand not releasing stuff before its ready but that is all on you guys for announcing an unrealistic release date. Finally, you have no concept of what your WvW community wants and need to stop “fixing” without communicating because you are not making anything better you are successfully making it worse.
Hopefully I can stick around a couple more weeks while waiting for raids, as it is right now I have very little desire to even bother logging in.
There is several abilities on all classes that go through doors, this is not new and has been around since release. It is not Rev exclusive.
Thank BG, you had to know that Anet was going to lock down everything remotely populated once they found out Players were going to game the system.
Right or wrong it only takes 1 server to screw it for everyone else.
This is incorrect, some people have some foresight and can see some of the issues. If it’s filled and the number’s have the same cap as Alpine then it is to big. Regardless of how many people are in the new map it’s far to “busy”. By that I mean it’s over complicated, it’s to vertical in many places, you need a Zerg just to scout a keep for defense, all the effects make it laggy without people on it, and finally if you manage to get close to a keep it’s a maze of meaningless annoyance for both the Attackers and Defenders.
It’s like asking for some pie because it’s really good pie, only to have someone add ice cream which is fine but then they add Pizza, Peanut butter, pickles, eggs, salmon, hamburger, hotdog, Stew, Chili, french fries, dog food, and finally the kitchen sink all ontop of your pie that is now just a mess of to much crap and inedible.
We just wanted some Pie with maybe a scoop of Ice Cream.
To big and they are overly complicated, there is no need for all the junk that they crammed into the maps. There is such a thing as to much, Anet really needs a dedicated WvW team, it’s overly clear that the ones who designed these maps usually work in the PvE department, the completely missed the mark.
Yes they look nice but that doesn’t really matter if they don’t function well. It’s a shame because there was a lot of work put into them, they would make a great map in PvE but in WvW … not so much.
The changes are god awful, I still haven’t played on a new map because there’s never anyone there. No player Damage on doors is stupidity, I’ve never been one for PvD but if that was the concern then damage should have been reduced instead of this abomination.
WvW ranks, LOL just LOL. There is nothing to invest in, everything is so easy to obtain now.
So when exactly is this " As work on Heart of Thorns wraps up, we’ll be treating resolving the remaining core areas in WvW as our #1 live development feature priority for the game to ensure we deliver on making World vs. World not just the great experience it is today – but the incredible experience we know it can be" suppose to start ?
Dear god please consult your WvW players, you have managed to butcher WvW in one foul swoop. It’s not even that I personally hate the new maps, there’s just no one on them in T4 which makes me assume that they really are just that bad.
I honestly don’t see myself or many other of my WvW friends that have played WvW from release sticking around all that much longer. It’s saddening that Anet doesn’t seem to know what we want and what would make this mode thrive.
I’m on DB, this is what I love about this community people like you and I rarely agree but in the end we can laugh about it. I can completely understand staying loyal and wish you the best of luck.
If you do decide to vacation, send me a PM on the forums I use this account to voice my opinions so my main doesn’t get banned because as I’m sure your aware I’m not always peaches and cream ;p
Ha!! I was checking that coverage wars site and DB was the server I had in mind since it seems they have pretty good coverage round the clock. I’ll see what happens after HoT. I really don’t want to leave but in a way I want to actually enjoy the new stuff and not log in to just get frustrated. I know lots of people are probably on break so things may change after launch..
Oh and sometimes when I disappear from this site its not that I don’t want to post. Its cause I can’t haha I’m trying be good for a bit
I get that, I’m probably on the verge of getting banned right now for my posts in the HoT forum, but I don’t mind I have several accounts I can repost on. At the very least I will fight the good fight and have 5-6 accounts banned
Lol grow up. You bought a virtual product its you call your risk for doing so. If it wasn’t up to your expectation just suck it up. Don’t come whining onto the forums with smart kitten smack talk. Boohoo you can’t handle your money well or do your research on a product before buying it, boohoo give me a refund now. Just grow up. If you want a refund just send them a support ticket, no need to come to the forums with so much negativity. Just another whining thread of a baby.
There is no need for hostility, if you don’t agree simply move on. That would be the mature thing to do, as you so hastily tell people to grow up.
Good luck to you in your future adventures I hope you enjoy your purchase for years to come.
You want the legal reason ?
They have until tomorrow at 12:01 PST to produce raids.
Whilst you may have other reasons (and that’s your prerogative) can I just point out that raids were never promised on Day 1.
No we didn’t. What was said at the Raid reveal (think it was at PAX?) was that the first wing of the first Raid would be released a short time period after the release of the expansion to give people time to play some content and get their masteries levelled up a bit.
I believe this video will clarify a little for you
The live stream that announced raids said the first wing would be out a week or so after release and the other wings would be released after that.

—>before christmas.
Your prerogative is noted, I’m happy you feel that way, you are however wrong, if you buy a new car they don’t have to promise it comes with an engine but you can get your money back if the engine is not present.
Don’t be so hostile please, this is meant to be a non harmful thread for those of us who wish to support Arena net once the product is complete.
Frankly its insulting that you are attacking me because I saved up for this and did not get the full product and somehow I am the bad guy. Perhaps you will pay for the expansion for me ?
I am still happy giving them $100 for my expansion. I am still getting everything they said I will, and in fact, I bet I am getting more.
Also when they release things down the line, that was not mention, does that mean your going to pay them more. “You never said this be in the expansion that you added, here take more money”
I’m glad you’re happy with your purchase, best of luck to you friend !
No thank you, I’m happy you are enjoying or looking forward to enjoying the game. I wish you all the best but for those that are unhappy because they are being sold an incomplete product, well we have every right to expect a refund.
Enjoy your HoT Expansion, I hope you have many hours of entertainment.
Do we know when raids will be in? I plan to do those, but figure it’ll be a while before my chrono can play them. I am disappointed with the HP requirement but figure tomorrow I can get a very rough idea of how long it’ll take (or not if it’s very walked behind masteries.)
I cannot answer this for you, only Arena Net can, it seems though that they are very tight lipped for one reason or another. I wouls suggest (only if you’re unhappy or cannot afford it such as I) that you request a refund until they can provide you with a real ETA on the product you paid for.
I’m sure they have valid reasons but some of us are just normal day to day people that expect what we pay for to be delivered, if that cannot be delivered I will gladly pay for at a later date.
I don’t want it later! I want it NOW! NOW NOW NOW NOW! If i can’t have it now i’m going to stop breathing! inhales loudly
Don’t be so angry it’s not good for the health.
I applaud your support for Arena Net, and the fact that you view them as a good company, this is your right to do so. My right is to be refunded for an incomplete product and as much as I wish both yourself and Arena Net the best of intentions in the future I simply cannot give money away for free. I paid for a product and as of this time that product has not been provided, this is by submission of the arena net staff that Raids will not be released. It’s unfortunate that I have to take this route because I was looking forward to raids, but my moral obligations cannot allow me to simply hand over money in todays economy because I feel bad for the multi million dollar company.

Once again if you’re happy with how everything went down I wish you the best of luck going forward I hope you enjoy the xpac, it seems anet put a lot of work into it. For those of you unhappy I invite you to submit a refund as the product sold is incomplete (as of today) so you are in your right to request a refund.
I wish Anet and all its staff the best of intentions going forward, I just want to say it’s a shame that despite all your hard work you could not provide the complete product sold.

Why would you buy HoT in the first place if you had no intention of actually playing it?
(also yes, there is a justified reason to lock this thread and reposting is a violation)
No there is not a justified reason, and I bought hot beacause of X, Y , Z. Not A, B , C.
You want the legal reason ?

I’ve submitted for a refund based on the fact that a selling point was raids which will not be released. The cost of Elites was the nail in the coffin but hey partial content is a direct scam, The fact that Anet yet again did not show us the courtesy of at least replying … you have the right to demand a refund for products not provided with purchase.
Example is raids: We paid for them with the xpac, they couldn’t deliver, if you are unhappy hit them with a refund.
If you’re happy with how things are going then best of luck, for everyone else … start submitting your refunds speak to them with dollars seeing as how they refuse to speak english.
For everyone else best of luck I hope you enjoy the xpac for years to come.
Edit: for the record this thread does not break any TOS or rules so for you trigger happy mods, think twice because I’ve copied and pasted and will repost.
