Consumable Token Inside Daily Achievement

Real Talk:

Hundreds (maybe thousands) of players will lose thousands of PvP mats come April 15th because there is currently no method to obtain the tokens needed to make items to spend the mats. This is really a silly proposition. Come April 15th, one of the only things that a PvP-only player like myself has acquired since headstart is going to be wiped away. I’m totally fine with that as long as there is a means to spend what I have left.

Imagine if in PvE they did away with Karma, but at the same time did away with all the Karma vendors, removing the ability for people to spend their million karma…PvE players would be in an uproar and the DEVs would fix it. Please fix this.

It seems to be intentional to remove purchasable consumable/gear tokens before the patch. Perhaps not through malicious intent from the Devs but from the “economists” involved in this transition from glory to gold. Just as they didn’t officially announce that the Locker would transition to the Wardrobe, they likely don’t want people with tons of left over PvP mats, legitimately earned I might add, to craft tons of more dyes.

I had also made a thread the Friday of the PvP stream and it received no response from the Devs.

After your PvP skins have been unlocked, they will be removed from your PvP gear locker, and you will have account-wide access to them through the Wardrobe tab in your Hero Panel. As the Wardrobe replaces the gear locker, PvP crafting materials will be removed from the game, so be sure to craft anything you want before the April 15 update.

I’d sure love to craft some PvP gear and items, but I’ve already spent all my Glory buying Mystery coffers and level up tomes and whatnot before the Glory-removing patch hit, now I can’t even afford any of the Gear Tokens from the rank vendors.

Could we get confirmation that the Rank Vendors will sell the Gear/Consumable/Arcane Converter for coins before the 4/15 patch hits so we that have earned our PvP crafting mats can actually put them to use. Thanks.

Can you guys at least make Consumable and Gear tokens from the Glory vendors purchasable by coins instead until the patch? I have hundreds of PvP crafting mats that I can’t do anything with because I have 0 glory remaining and no way to buy those tokens.

I’d hate for the patch to hit, my mats to be worthless vendor trash and not have the chance to craft them up at least into dyes before then.

It should be.

It involves accountbound material, just like ascended weapons.

So do the toxic utility consumables, see Toxic Maintenace Oil, Toxic Focusing Crystal and Toxic Sharpening Stone

Therefore, those who want it should make it themselves.

IF they’d make the 3 most needed materials tradeable, they could do so with the Tonic too, but everything higher than those plain materials should be left accountbound.

It’s a pity how many People actually destroy ascended material they don’t Need if they don’t want an ascended weapon…

Exactly why it should be tradable, it makes a market for having all that spare bloodstone. I’m no economist but this seems like a good thing to have item/gold sinks.

Infinite knockdowns

This is a problem around many areas of the game where mobs can knock/stun you for 3 or even 4 seconds at a time, and as you said, even having stunbreakers isn’t enough as they can do it quite often. It really is something anet should look into fixing. Having control constantly taken away from your character for long periods of time is not fun in any way.

My suggestion would be to simply limit the PvE stun/knockdown durations to 2 seconds, max. For all enemies/bosses/champions, everything PvE related.

Just as the Hybrid mini was accidentally account bound and was fixed to be tradeable, this tonic should be tradeable as well. No reason really to make it bound. Previous Scarlet-alliance tonics have been tradeable, see Molten Berserker and Aetherized.

Happens to me sometimes, I usually just have to close and reopen and shift through the BLTC window tabs multiple times before it fixes itself. If that doesn’t work then this bug could be something more. Hopefully we’ll get an update/fix on it soon

Wraith Masque Now Showing Pupils

Since you are now aware of this issue due to this new bug, could you make it so that ALL eye colors make the Wraith Masque fully white, instead of just the lighter colors as I stated in my previous post in this thread? Can’t discriminate between eye colors for the cool-factor that the masque provides.

Not sure if new bug, but this has mostly always been the case. Depending on eye color it would show pupil with Wraith masque. Lighter eye colors would properly hide it while darker shades like brown would make the maque look like cheap goth make up.

Just checked my own Wraith Masque and it’s not showing pupil on human male, Pale Brown eye color and it doesn’t show pupil.

Ritual of Life Blood Traits: IV

It’s supposed to cast a Well of Blood When you revive an ally, but the WoB summoned from RoL only lasts about 5 seconds total, not the full 10 seconds of the Skill 6 Heal Well of Blood. Is this intended or a bug? Tooltip of trait does not mention any duration penalty.

Secondary bug: Forum search system does not work? Maybe? I can’t get any results at all with any keywords. Can’t search if something has already been posted other than manually checking back page by page. Perhaps a giant sticky with known bugs that are being tracked?

Well of Power

Bug is that for allies, the conditions of Burning and Chill are not converted into boons. Works just fine on yourself as you stand in the same well. Tested only in PvE dungeons and open world.

Bleeding, Vulnerability and Weakness do seem to convert, but unknown exactly what other conditions besides Chill/Burn do not turn into boons for allies. Requires further testing to verify all other conditions in both PvE and PvP

I made a suggestion on the previous recent topic about Vigor, but had no comments made on it. How about a trait to increase Endurance regen by ~33% while in DS? Doesn’t seem overly OP and uses our class mechanic. No LF, no vigor.

There’s also the 2nd option, similar to how Ele’s have it with Zephyr’s Focus: Your endurance regenerates 100% faster while channeling skills. We have lots of channels, maybe not on all weapons though, but we’ll always have one on DS, with a long cooldown.

What trait line and for how many points it would be to get these, I don’t know. Speculate on just the concept for now.

Thoughts? Feedback? On either one would be appreciated.

I am disappointed that the Bone pick strikes oil. The effects on the pick itself are very nice though. Just want the actual node effects to be.. better. Perhaps bone claws grasp out of the ground and grab the node or something. Anything but an oil sprout.

I don’t think ANet wants to give us vigor/stability boons directly, so besides some kind of way to leech endurance, as Overkillengine suggested, then how about a trait to increase endurance regen by 33%-50% while in DS?

Not sure about our stability problem, as without having the boon directly, I can think of that would have the same effect… Other than the long lost legendary trait Shade.

I would also like an answer to this, for reasons stated above and because I like the skins, but only for my future Tengu Ranger. I don’t want to have to buy them and have them take up space for however long it takes ANet to release that race (it’s gonna happen eventually, right?).

Options are:
1) Skins added to BL Specialist, like the Kite Fortune ones
2) Skins are in Pavilion vendors only and return next time the Pavilion reopens
3) Skins are gone forever and if/when Pavilion comes back, new skins will be for sale

Yes the hammer would look great on a Necro, as it fits the theme of the class. But I doubt we’ll be getting hammer abilities any time soon. If there’s one class that’s more fitting to wield a hammer, that’s the Engineer. Which I would want hammer on much more than Necro.

Sylvari personal story has… a sylvari that was not born of the Pale Tree and had never even heard of it. Nor does he have any memory of the "dream", hinting that there is another Pale Tree like growth somewhere else in Tyria. Possible this other is from there.

Back on topic. How about instead of directly replacing pierce trait with splash, add another trait to change it. Isn’t that what traits were supposed to do? Change the base mechanics of our skills to customize your playstyle according to the encounter and/or situation at hand?

If you really want to go all out on LifeBlasts, then you can trait for both pierce AND splash. Maybe that would be too much? Who knows. But I like the idea of having the option to change how LifeBlast works.

I was thinking these mini-games could be unlocked as guild activities, much like guild challenges/rushes/bounties/puzzles, with a similar merit and influence cost/reward function.

Also with customizable options, like disabling KARKA from spawning or increased timer. Would make great fun for guilds to play around and do these kind of mini-games together, seeing who comes out on top and winning a prize by whoever sets them up. This goes for cool mini-games, like the Sanctum Sprinter, Aspect Arena, Crab Toss and future ones.

As much “fun” as it is playing these mini-games with random hotjoin people, the true fun would be to play with your group of friends and guildmates.

The best way to get their price down is to just spread the word that they’ve been fixed and can now be made sellable. The only reason they were so expensive was because of the account bound bug that caused there to be a very limited supply.

Not sure if there’ll be a new supply of the tonics this Halloween. If so then it would drop way down in price. We’ll have to see on that.

Post your video on the bug list up top on our sticky. That issue where our heal and utilities are locked out for a second or two after leaving DS has been around for an annoying amount of time and the sooner it’s fixed the better.

I am not a fan of how if we take spike damage in DS and it drains, it will spill over to our health. Big nerf since in WvW you can take a LOT of spike damage in a short amount of time and DS was our only salvation from being insta killed by it all. At least until it drained, then we died anyway due to no staying power.

As for new DS feedback, I think the fix where we were taking more damage than intended was pretty great. Definitely feels like our DS can tank a lot more damage than before, I just wonder as to what the specifics of that bug were.

Vampiric and all siphons should work for “healing” us while in DS, but any form of Health healing while in DS seems to be a slippery slope the dev’s dont want to cross into.

Any tests on how toughness works while in DS? Do we still take reduced damage as normally as out of DS? As vitality increases our LF pool, I’m curious as to the benefits of going full tougness tank for DS. If could end up being about to take just about the same amount of damage/hits with toughness over vitality.

Searched the forums and found nothing. But I’ve noticed a recent dive in price for this tonic and sudden increase in supply. Has one of the new patches fixed the issue where the majority of these tonics were bound to the character and not able to be listed in the TP? Curious if anyone knows what is going on with this.

A right click option to “buy X amount” with a confirmation window that says “Buying 250 of X will cost Ygold, etc”
If for whatever reason they’re unwilling (or unable to) give the ability to buy multiples at a time then, how about the option to have confirmations or not? A checkbox somewhere in the vendor window that says “Confirm purchse”, checked it would pop up the box, uncheck it wouldn’t. It would be checked by default on any vendor window. Resets back to checked if window closes/reopens. Easy solution for everyone.

Not quite. He does have a point in that previews don’t quite allow you to zoom in and see the preview up close. That is perhaps what he meant. Only when you actually have the item equipped and can get a closer look can you see the fine detail (or lack of) in items.

Actually, sometimes JPs are harder with speed buffs on you.

Only if you are inexperienced at with running it in puzzles. Once you get used to it, ALL puzzles are much easier. I suggest every necro use it until they are used to doing jumping with it.

The three utilities every necro should have when doing jump puzzles:

-Locust Signet for perma move speed buff.
-Spectral Walk for an instead “do-over” trick on risky/tricky spots. Either/Both Spectral traits to make this even better.
-Flesh Wurm in case your LifeForce runs dry you can just quick cast/kill the Wurm for just enough LF to go into DS if there is nothing nearby to kill.

With these three and DivingShroud, we are the masters of any puzzle.

Used it in WvW a few times while testing it out. It has saved me once in a while, but it does activate too close to death that if you’re caught in an AoE you’re likely gonna die anyway. If you’re looking for a low HP saving effect for a rune, I’d suggest Vampirism’s mist form.

Tried a few of them. Tormentor was my favorite for sure, the new fear powers we have are truly horrifying. It’s definitely a very strong build, but not completely unbeatable. Nice job on the build theory-crafting, we’ll see how the meta adjusts a week or so after all the post-patch chaos settles.

My Spooky Skeleton mini will never be replaced…. Unless they made a Mini Zhaitan. There really should be mini versions of the dragons, given after you kill them, account bound. You felled a giant dragon, destroyer of worlds and civilizations, the least you could get is a minified version of it (or a dragon hat).

Got on to Mists PvP today and seems Lyssa (effect 6) runes don’t work at all with Lich, but work fine with Golem/Plague. Tried in and out of combat and reslotting the runes and the gear. No change. Anyone else able to test this? Also not sure if bugged in PvE, I don’t have a Lyssa set.

Something odd happened with my Shroud

You know how the untraited cooldown of DS is 10 seconds, right? Well it seems that (maybe from some time ago didnt look into it since weapon swap “fix”) if you get kicked out of ds, despite the 1 second lock off from your utilites (1.49 to be precise) DS cooldown on the other hand goes down to 5 seconds (as in if you get 10%+ LF as soon as you get kicked out of ds you wont have to wait 10 but only 5 seconds till you can use it again).

Any specific circumstances that this happened to you? Sure you didn’t have Near to Death enabled? I flash DS a lot in my build and I’ve never had this happen to me. It’s always the 10s set cooldown, untraited.

Funny note aside the 1% always being there and DS counting as its own hp bar with jumping.

One problem I’ve had with SG in PvP is when I try to use it and the foe moves sideways, SG doesn’t hone in on them as they move, it just shoots off in the direction they were standing in when I cast it and misses. If this were resolved the skill would be much much better.

Disease

I always thought that if Necro got such a unique condition like that it should be called “Decay” instead of “Disease” or other such names. As everything can decay, but not be diseased. Then again there’s bleeding for golems/rocks/ghosts and stuff. So it’s mostly a flavor preference for me.

On topic: I agree with all that, Necro should get something exclusive similar to how Warriors get Impale. Stacks duration with itself or any other necros that use such skill. Or would intensity be better? But on a longer cooldown to skills that give access to it? So that the if your opponent does not remove it by the time you’re able to cast the 2nd stack they’ll start taking even more damage. Whatever works best for balance.

decay isn’t contagious. And even if it was it would be a flesh eating disease. So disease still works. In GW1 disease simulated the spread of influenza. And it was very flavorful in that regard.

And if a condition simulated decay, Necrosis would be a far cooler name then just decay. And People would actually take the time to look up what necrosis is so they would learn something new.

Disease and Necrosis still imply a biological component to those afflicted, not always the case with the enemy types we face. Decay is universal. That was my point.

And as great as the self-spreading mechanic seems in concept, I really doubt ANet would work it into any condition of ours. That’s what we have epidemic for.
