NO, i dont want stealth in ele.
Condition wise it seems good, also it does have better defenses than tempest and ele, a trait which gives extra hp withouth sacrificing damage and another trait to cleanse conditions that maybe will require some tweaks.
But i tried power and it is lacking, at least in sword, sure they have extra ferocity with a trait when fully attuning into an element, but that doesnt work well with the mechanic of dual attuning. also weaver stances dont benefit power builds.
But what im sure is that weaver is totally diferent from ele and tempest, it really feels like i have never played an elementalist in my life, it is like the offspring of an ele with an engineer with the engineering kits.
Engi main herr who loves 3+ kit rotations. That’s why I’m in love with weaver and was more keen on trying it out that holosmith. Can’t wait to test weaver again when it finally comes out
I felt the flow was ok, I agree I did have to do full atuo chains while waiting although I’m used to filtering while cds are up cause I main engi. I like the idea of weave and having a rotation like engi’s 3/4 kit rotations.
Agree with the damage though, was low.
As a engi kit lover I find the disable of kits to be too long. Atm I used the holosmith as a 4th kit. I went in, used skill #3, skill #4 then I would have to fill out the remaining time with one full atuo chain then two atuos before I was able to leave.
Idm if you leave the holosmith cd at 6sec as I can fill the rotation with kits while I wait although can the holosmith disable kits for 4secs instead? (the amount of time it takes to do skill #3, skill #4 and a atuo chain unbuffed with quickness/alcharty)
Yes the damage is high atm too and needs toning down. It’s like when mortar first came out and that atuo was super strong
Being able to buy transmutation charges please.
+1 that food idea that was posted.
I would love to be ability to buy mosman at his hut after bloom so I can fight him (you can bring his pack of wolfs too)
I would love a bow too! Maybe one that’s low damage with lots of soft cc?
Atlest we didn’t get nerf I guess
Rabid has defensive stats right? Nothing wrong with defensive stats, you’ll fine you might have more agro than normal with some enemies like the etin
It’s alittle annoying although I’ve found aiming it as though your doing a headshot helps keep it off the floor
I’m coming back to GW2 after almost 2 years and I’m currently stuck on T2 level 42. Hardly anyone plays T2 and I can’t use the LFG tool to search for higher tiers. Any suggestions for helping my character level up?
Are you finding Mai Trin hard or just finding it hard to get a group of 5?
I would be happy if they unlocked all 3 sizes. I only have the medium pair and I love them. Your right though, no one looks at peoples feet ^^ I don’t blame them though, there isn’t much need.
I don’t see how they are not needed. With the slaying pot and the defensive fractal pot together you’ll have huge damage reduction while still learning your way around or when you make a mistake. With the slaying pot plus the precsion pot together your dps will be high.
I wasn’t trying to be smug btw, I just don’t see why you wouldn’t want both if your not condi or playing a fractal with no slaying types. Each slaying potion is in the copper so I badly worded 1g to mean you could get a huge supply for value.
I have a stack of each. My point was that you can comfortably run fractals without them. Hence not being needed.
Sure, YOU can run them comfortably although some newer people may not. So using both of them are a nice way to have a safety net that’s also not expensive and helps with damage.
The story is ok. I find myself liking scarlet more and more and I REALLY want to find out what’s happening with Mai trin, last we heard she escaped into the mist..
Anyway, those are my favourite two
being a switch warrior is great, your doing well.
Keep looking out for more openings, your’ll find more and more ways to get melee damage in

You can also spend 1 gold coin on getting yourself slaying potions. They provide +10% damage reduction AND they stack with the fractal pots aswell. They also give +10% dmg vs that type aswell. These potions are like a lost art the last generation of fractal runnets used while being told they only press 111111..
I don’t raid. So Idk how much value my opinion has although I wouldn’t mind a story mode for raids. (would also vote for the not loot option as well)
snip!
I don’t know what to call it although you do get a buff/debuff saying the mode will activate on the boss.
Sure you can say they didn’t say they activated the node although they did say aetherblade and the fractal which was done was aetherblade so I don’t see what’s wrong in that regard.
What I do read is, 4 people joining a lfg then kicking the um.. Owner (for lack of a better word) at the finall boss.
snip!
I did think about it though:
A person makes a Lfg for aetherblade recomended.
4 people join and together they make it to the last boss.
The 4 people who joinned, kick the first person because of the first person’s decision. (instead of leaving and forming your own group).
Then you leave the instance anyway after the kick?
(edited by Sarahfull.4930)
O.o oh wow you all kick him?
thanks for the replies and help guys, i guess i’m just bored of being the support, but i really enjoy playing as ranger/druid, so i decided to play as ele for a while, maybe wait a dps buff, grind enough for kudzu or feel like i want to play ranger/druid again.
:o I also stopped using my ranger for similar reasons. I don’t like being the healing support as well as people EXPECTING me to heal them when they don’t bother to dodge..
It is insane and it is correct. The 9 status infusions are supposed to be the (very) long term goals and gold sink for your fractal adventures. Note that it was already expensive to get the (5 stat +7 AR) ones, but they were not very popular due to low AR for their price.
I don’t think it’s insane. +1 to this because it explains why they are long term goals
I didn’t do the nightmare tower when it was out. Is there anything I should look out for? Or would it just be better to go to open world and fight the ones still around?
I wish I could quote the forum post >.<" although someone once said on the forums here: “This game will never be as hard as I wish for it to be” or something along those lines
I would love to go back to the old fravtals tbh. I only made it to lvl50 back when jade maw was the only boss AND only on even lvls. I would of loved to be at the lvl80 with the others
I agree with d/p, I like it better than d/d personaly. with cliffside, try taking smokescreen instead of fist flurry so you can blind them and make them miss their heart seeker attack. Positioning like others have said is VERY key (for all classes). I like to use the Gsword as an example: this is a fantasy game, if you stick your Gsword right into your enemies or if you just tip them with the weapon, you’ll do the same damage. Same is true with all weapons in this game
You can cancel the whriling defence early (by moving) to keep the quick draw bonus.
Both power and condi engi work for teir 4 fractals. I constantly have pre-made groups with 1 power engi (me!) and 1 condi engi (I have two friends who love condi).
Didn’t they stop that because of the SD builds? You would elixir s in front of their face and roll your face over your toolbelt skills and kill them with your burst
What is your ideal fractal team composition for fractals up to scale 100? Personally, I’m only on like scale 65 and I rarely do fractals. I got a teef geared up with 162 AR for fracs but I just don’t do fractals much. What do veteran fractal goers with scale 100 think?
Personally? I love power engi, condi engi, ele, chrono and warrior. Thinking about it, me and friends have ended up like this for along time now. ( of course chrono was clssic mesmer before the expansion )
The old kit refinement on engi was amazing. I remeber people playing with that and the trait which helps with fall damage to drop 3x nade barrages (however it’s spelt)
Wait? You were trying to be funny? O.o
Hi my name is Sarah,
I would like to Thank everyone who helped me get my Tattered Bat Wings. I am on the Na side of things and can offer fractal help and/or just be your 5th person for your fractal run.
I hope I can help you all out with your fractals and pay this forward!
Many thanks!
(edited by Sarahfull.4930)
I haven’t been the last alive for the last few times I did this. However I love the new change and I could honestly see them making it harder somehow now. " harder " is subjective and I’m not too sure how this can be achieved though.
0/10
You had a bad day struggling in fractals or what is the goal behind this troll post?
Hahahaha I wish.
As you can see, I generously pointed out that I slightly spend a little more time in the fractals than the average player might have. It wasn’t just one bad day and I wrote this just for fun, without insulting anyone. If it’s not your humor, then I’m fine with you giving me 0/10. Otherwise I suggest you shouldn’t rate other peoples opinions and ask them nicely what makes them say that / try to understand them.Sigh and I fell for it and clicked on one of the builds >.<
I’m sorry to hear that Sarahfull, though I can assure you that you won’t find a build for the fractals that fits in every situation perfectly. See, there might be some really effective builds here, but they rarely consider how a player actually fights in combat. One might be really aggressive, another rather defensive. Even small decisions like dodging forward or backwards can affect how someone engages an enemy and what he/she does to constribute and how his team should react. Many enemies in the fractals are nothing alike and have different weaknesses also, so knowledge is the key.
So the only good tip I can give you, is to adapt to the situation, don’t stick with just a few choices, try out every weapon and have fun.
Interesting. Please just call me Sarah though. I’ve made fractals my home in gw and have learnt alot about it’s in’s and out’s ( insert here the normal played for 4years etc, etc).
Anyway, while what you say is true. You can stick with 90% of the same build for all the fractals if you know where to active defence. Yes you should change 1 or 2 triats here and there and some classes even a whole line although for the most part 90% of a build still holds true.
Sarah
Sigh and I fell for it and clicked on one of the builds >.<
I normaly ONLY fractal, like OONNLLYY fractal. Ask anyone who knows me that’s the only content I do. I’ve put up a looking for VG kill before and it does work. I like to think I was honest with my request, saying that I know power engi well and was willing to show a rotation if needed.
I did end up getting a few whispers from different people telling me they are part of a raid guild and they do training on Sundays and if I would like to join. To be fair, the first week I did this, friends picked me up and carried me through VG and the next boss. I did ask again the following week and got to add a drum roll cause I had a grand totall of 2 Li things!! \o/
Oh! A training raid picked me up that week and I stayed with them for awhile but had to leave due to work the next day.
id love to know how i can “git gud” on a melee class with kitten heals (warrior) when 3 hits takes most my hp and the third daze ruins any dps or might building i was going to do. let alone the fact he has to be on the panels constantly which i cannot get close enough to damage on.,
I don’t know the warrior class at all although I’ll try help. Yea, in this fight you won’t the full100blades on him. The only opening I can think of is when he goes for his breakbar move (bb). So maybe something like headbutt into 100b?
How does that healing stance fair in this matchup? Turning damage into healing could be helpfull and might allow you to stand on the coloured floor for health and to get strong hits in.
The only other thing I can think of is sidesteping is faster than your backstep so you may want to be kinda side on and just hit him with the tip of your weapon if that makes sense while you chase him or be chased around the floor.
This is more in general, Don’t forget you can’t read your PuGs mind and they can’t read yours. Feel free to ask everyone to bring one cc and even offer to call out the bb move. The first one is at 50% then every 18sec aftetwards so you could call it out earler like 15-16 to give people a heads up.
Extra attacks would be awesome, make him interesting like bloom. Just.. Not sure if that’s possible, people can’t seem to cope with his atuo attack chain yet alone anything alse to be added.
Have you tried talking to your PuGs?! Ask them to bring one cc each and call breakbar alittle earlier so they know. It’s really not that hard.. It’s the most teamwork fractal for a reason..
Anet finally makes something with a decent atuo attack chain and you want to remove the daze that makes it the most interesting.
The breakbar is easy as to break!! I’ve broken his bar all the time with different PuGs.
Aww, I wished I had screenshots of earlier times =s
I remember fable2 had a history of you chatacter and all the outfits you had, wish anet could have something like this to look back and ponder ( I’ll choose to shuffle and draw. Very bad joke ignore this )
I know it’s childish although it’s awesome watching some bosses charge up their big breakbar (bb) attacks and you go BOOM with your overpowered shot and deal masive bb damage
I believe the fight is fair, maybe look at KINGS guide on the fractal if you need to.
Engi: Mortar #4, 3sec later bombkit #4. You also have nade #3 and Ft #5 as one offs for big attacks like the tentacle aoe swing.
I went on a long run with ranger sword / X for along time before druid and the suport meta. I liked it cause it was a different style
And it’s instance cast!! It’s a great skill. If your worried about blocks and reflects then that makes it more a learn the matchup than the skill it self. I believe it’d fine how it is
Now that their is a bank golem, you can juat leave them in your bank and then just pull them out, use them and put them back in the bank before every run
As others have said, Rifle was great before HoT power creep.
If Rifle had been designed for HoT:
- Hip Shot: Higher damage, grants might every third shot.
- Net Shot: Unblockable, reflects projectiles
- Blunderbuss: Higher damage
- Overcharged Shot: No self-cc, or trait that grants stability on use
- Jump Shot: Higher damage, lower cooldown, evades during travel
I personally would rather hip shot apply vulnerability instead of might.
I like your idea of net shot, I would also add like 5 vulnerability aswell
Um that would be the dream having iFrames on jump shot. If we can’t have that, 1sec of stability would be ok I think.
Overcharged shot is my favourite skill in gw. I wouldn’t want to change anything on it, especially the self cc. If it really needs some kind of bluff I would either lower it’s cd or increase the cc on the enemy. ( counterplay would still be stunbreaks and reflects would hurt more)
Sarah
Hiya,
I couldn’t find if your Na or Eu?
