Dakka Warforge- Level 80 Charr Engineer
Xairro – Level 80 Asura Revenant
Please fix it. I don’t like seeing it through the back of my head.
I’d like to take 75 for Vhaewyn
I’ve now finished the White Stag story arc. I hope you all find it enjoyable. This has been fun to write.
Thanks. I’m continuing to update every day.
Just to note: Some tweets can be spoilers if you’re new to the game, or haven’t played the Sylvari personal story stuff.
As an exercise in creativity, I’ve created a Twitter account for my Sylvari Ranger main. Vhaewyn comments on her adventures and explorations, going through the content of the game. With her sylvan hound sidekick, Briarpatch, she’ll get up to all kinds of amusing antics.
Please check it out and let me know what you think.
I doubt Anet meant for this to affect “on kill” sigils, but they need to fix it and very soon.
Braham needs a permanent “Dudebro” condition.
My character’s weapon’s Bloodlust sigil seems to not generate the power bonuses when in the instances of the new living story episode. I never see icons for the stacks and can sense no change in my damage output.
I dunno if this is just for Bloodlust or all sigils that have stacking effects, as I’ve only tried it with a Bloodlust sigil.
I took the Dolyak Tonic and enjoy trolling people at the Flying Dolyak Race by not crossing the finish line when they need more for gold reward.
“There is some guy from BG looking in my window….”
You like it and you know it, you little exhibitionist!
I don’t care where “that server” ends up. I know nothing will be altered for this tournament, and rightly so. The prizes aren’t even that big a deal.
My concern is that 2v1 (and by that I mean the long term, coordinated version), will just become the new stacking problem. If you have a winning strategy, why ever stop? Coverage/stacking continues all the time, tournament or no.
2v1 as a way to stay competitive is great. I welcome that. 2v1 as a way to keep yourself and your buddy server permanently on top isn’t.
I guess I just wish winners were decided simply by who fought the hardest, and you could never be certain who that would be week to week. That would keep WvW interesting. At least to me, but maybe I’m just dreaming.
I Always figured Jormag’s tooth would be used against Jormag. After all, the only thing that can damage a giant block of ice, is the thing itself.
You’ve been watching the Incredibles again, haven’t you?
The end of Season 1 made it pretty clear we’ll be heading deeper into the Magumma. Marjory’s sister laid a very obvious bread crumb in that direction. Unless Anet was trolling us with a red herring, we’ll be starting Season 2 in Brisban.
Perhaps a system where, say, a server is getting 2v1, and they are granted the opportunity to “call in reinforcements” with badges of honor. Collectively spend enough badges, and that server can raise it’s pop cap a decent amount for a time. Say, up to 100 or 120. I dunno the exact numbers, but enough to give them a much better fighting chance.
What a great idea! Then a stacking server can resort to the tactic that got it to tier 1 in the first place – more stacking!
Maybe if the one server were allowed up to 160, but that wasn’t what I suggested. They’d still be outnumbered, just not as hopelessly. The idea is to make 2v1 a viable tactic for evening the odds, not dominating them.
while the sylvari are left with the most rangers?
Can you imagine all those Barrages?
“Hey, where’d the sun go?”

2v1 doesn’t even the odds (which I think is what the devs wanted to happen). It shifts to odds in the opposite direction. It would only even the odds if population caps were altered somehow to compensate.
Norn vs. Asura.
“We’re dying! I can’t see the enemy! Where are they?”
“Under our knees!”
The Ogres Open a PetsMart.
The news is coming on Tuesday, they say in a later tweet. Same day the feature pack goes live. Safe bet it’s news on Living World S2.
Q: Once I unlock a skin in the wardrobe, am I free to delete the actual item while still using the appearance from the wardrobe in the future?
Matt Wuerffel: Yes. In fact, deleting the item will actually unlock the skin in the wardrobe as a safeguard.
So, I have the Mad King book back items from the 2012 Halloween event in my bank. I have been concerned that I can’t add them to my wardrobe because the character I originally earned and wore them on is long since deleted. They’re soulbound to a no-longer-existant character. I cannot remove the books from my bank, nor salvage them. Does this mean I can, once the wardrobe is live, delete them from my bank and they’ll be unlocked to my wardrobe?
Iron Legion Fangirl. Probably has a tattoo of Smodur the Unflinching.
It’s quite possible the Assault Knights are what resulted from the Marionette’s testing. Scarlet decided to go with three smaller versions that didn’t require the Breachmaker for support.
The Marionette is scrap metal. It’s lying in the snow in Lornar’s Pass. Seems Scarlet decided it wasn’t working out and left it behind.

Same. Prime Hologram fails to enter phase 2 when she hits 25% health.
I haven’t seen her in the new patch. I’ve only seen the finale, through the shortcut, so far. Is she in the rest of the drill instance? Is she still out at the refugee camp?
2) Supplies are necessary to mount a counter offensive, that being said Gnashblade had no intention of assisting with this counter offensive until threatened.
This exactly. Gnashblade wasn’t using his supplies for anything except making a profit. He had to be conscripted under threat of death to get him to do the right thing. That’s no hero. That’s a greedy coward.

Wait, what -? Kasmeer didn’t die?

(I can’t play yet)
Here’s hoping she trips over a quaggan and gets impaled by Rox’s horns by March 18
I want to know who died. Someone had to die.
Scarlet, that’s it.
Marjory came pretty close, but thankfully Rox is a good battlefield medic.
Oh and Braham broke his leg. Let’s all sign his cast!
I see it now. It all makes sense.
This was Mordremoth’s plan from the beginning. Asleep, trapped, too weak to free him/herself, the Elder Dragon needed a huge infusion of magical energy to awaken. So through her dreams, she hammered her thoughts into the head of a newborn Sylvari, driving her to madness and giving her the natural goal of wanting to silence the voice.
Poor Ceara. She was just a tool of an Elder Dragon all along. Something Mordremoth used to get the power it needed to fully awakened. Scarlet, perhaps in her madness, perhaps mislead by Mord, thought she was throwing off the shackles of the Dream and determining her own destiny. But she was still under someone’s thumb, anyway.
Scarlet is a much more tragic figure now. She could have been something great. A marvelous asset to the Sylvari and the people of Tyria. Instead her genius was twisted and wasted on evil.
Still enjoyed putting my finisher on her crazy head, though.
I wonder why though.
If you’re asking why Scarlet woke up Mord? To silence the voices in her head. Mord has been (i assume through dreams) been driving Scarlet insane since she was born. To get at the source of the madness and stop it was Scarlet’s only goal.
“I’m healing you by gently stroking your leg!” LOL
There’s 40 individual piles. You need to tag 30 of them for the achievement. As mentioned, Dulfy has a great map and guide for them all.
On the upside, we can swim just fine in quaggan form!
The title of this post made me sad :-(
I know the feels.
As for this latest release, I found the hidden stuff fairly easily.
Hopefully we’ll still have the release pages as well.
The map does look rather nice, but I wish they incorporated some stuff from the Personal Story in there as well.
Maybe they will? It’s clearly always going to be a work in progress. Now back to hunting for that last lore spot. rassum frassum
Well for many people the Krait thing is lore breaking, because one of their traits is xenophobia. Its true that they think of themselfes as the higher race, and they think that they didn’t need the help of others.
One of their other traits is that they are religious fanatics, and they would do everything to make the return of their prophets possible.
Xenophobia doesn’t mean they will never deal with other species. They’re just highly distrustful of non-Krait. Scarlet got their aid by appealing to the religious fanaticism. She had some “holy relics” of their Prophet faith that they badly wanted, and I believe she held up her end of the bargain, giving them the shards.
Also, these are not the entire Krait race. Just a splinter group that apparently took a chance on Scarlet, like with the Dredge, Flame Legion, Inquest and Nightmare Court.
They might have been able to make something positive out of the Living Story to date if they had rolled it all up into an extensive, thematic, dramatic video presentation of the story to date. This is a google map with pins of concept art for events that have come and gone.
And if they had done that, people would be complaining “Oh great, another video. Couldn’t they have done something interactive?”
You can find the “hidden” ones by clicking the images you’ve already found.
Coordinates for the ones you are most likely missing: [16548, 16157] and [16302, 14426]
Thanks but only one of those was one I hadn’t found yet. Still missing one.
Okay, I cannot, for the life of me, find the last two bits for BfLA. 7/9 is frustrating me.
Poor Mace Windu…. his purple lightsaber deserved better.
We do know what’s going on. Scarlet is drilling for something beneath Lion’s Arch. Something she has been searching for for the last year. Something driving her mad with voices in her head that she is determined to find. She has plotted and planned for this. She has assembled an army to shield her from us. She has developed technology to track down the source of her madness. Now she is very close to uncovering it.
It’s all there if you pay attention.
Now what is it Scarlet is drilling to reach? We don’t know yet, nor should we. That’s why it’s a finale. We’ll find out at the end.
The idea that we should already know the end result is silly. That ruins the surprise and the mystery. You don’t flip to the last page of a mystery novel before you read the rest.
Well, if you do, you’re just weird.
I like this atlas. It’s a neat thing to play around with. Still missing two pieces for BoLA, though. Hmmmm.
I have found myself disappointed with the lack of any sort of title with this update. Maybe the next patch?
anybody spoke with the npc in bloodtide camp? he has something interesting to say about Evon…
Which NPC? There’s a lot of them.
Mmmm, BBQ Tengu. Get some potato salad and we got us a party!
Evon is a selfish coward, and in this patch he has proved it. When the Lionguard conscript him to act as a quartermaster in this emergency, he threatens to “pull up stakes” and leave. He’d rather abandon everyone than help. The only reason he stays is the threat of execution. It takes a -death threat- to get that son of a grawl to do his civic duty.

I bet the orphan’s trip was Kiel’s idea.
They need not fear we all know Evon will protect and evacuate them.
Well of course he will, he’s going to need the labor for rebuilding his trading posts after all this goes down.
But it was all thanks to Ho-Ho-Tron that the Orphans didn’t have to burn each other to keep warm in the winter.
That’s only because there’s no such thing as Sylvari orphans.
I’ve had it with your anti-Sylvari bigotry, meatbag!

Bad day for a field trip, kids. I’d hope they got their permission slips signed, but then I remembered they’re orphans.

GW2 writer John J Ryan tweets as the “Lion’s Arch Harbormaster” about strange things happening, in the lead up to today’s patch.
So, Scarlet wiped out the Protheans 50,000 years ago?
