Liquid Gold: 50k (in wallet)
But it shows as 113k on GW2efficiency (don’t know how they calculate it, ranked in top 10)
GWAMM is hard work title. Champion of the Gods, not so much ….
I use ‘Legendary Champion’ in GW2 even though I have all three titles.
Had 4 GWAMM (some people had more) in GW1 but what did I use instead? Grandmaster Treasure Hunter because this title was even better.
I did a fractal with a 161 guy afew hours ago aparently thats max.
S/He said it was from doing normal content with boosters only but I really dubt they havent done cof p1 farm for the tyria masterys atleast.
It is NOT humanly possible to get 50+ mastery since HoT got released doing normal content with all boosters and consumables stacked up.
Anyone who says otherwise is lying.
Precursor crafting once per account? Terrible implementation…even though I won’t be making one myself.
This is a bug in the Act 1 of HoT: “The Jungle Provides”. Opted for the attacking path with Tizlek.
Killed everything on map, but the quest is stuck as shown in the screenshot.
There is no last wave. Disappointed!

You need to unlock Fractal MR1, which you can’t do without HoT.
Thanks for the reply!
I don’t understand why Anet would do this to the core users. Nowhere does this explicitly state that HoT is required for completion. However, the word ‘mastery’ does appear in the quest description…what a bummer.
I think I am also stuck because I didn’t buy HoT.
Can anyone tell me how I can complete the “Follows Advice” quest required for fractals? See screenshot below:
Hmm, I’ve only really done a bit of Verdant Brink before I went to work. Which I actually enjoyed, and I was looking forward to running some 50’s with friends when I got back.
Sounds bad from the way you’ve described it, but I’ll see for myself how it is.
The Key costs weren’t too horrible in my opinion, I bought a bunch using the crap ton of salvaged mats from the rings.
Cost of salvaging the rings, 1g each, while pricy now because we had soooo many things to salvage, in the long run, it wont be as noticeable in my opinion. These are, afterall, the top lvl gear in the game, that not many people have stockpiles of, unless they ran fractals a lot.
uhhh you spent 1 gold to get 2 items that saved you 20 silver?
what do you get and what amounts from ascended salvage?
Unless I’m mistaken, salvaging 1 un-infused ring gives 2 fractal fragments, while an infused one gives a variable number of FF (highest being 20 as far as I have seen). So, salvaging using the ascended gear is not economically feasible for un-infused rings since you can simply buy the FF from TP for 20s each and hence save 60s per salvage.
They should have made a back-piece that looked more like a cape than anything else…
I miss the good old days of Guild Wars 1, where the drops were decent. Even if one was unlucky in monster drops, one could always gamble with the treasure chests and get lucky (elite tomes) or super lucky (rare skins). The payout wasn’t skewed like the modern Mystic Forge.
I don’t trust the Mystic forge at all because I always get burned.
Therefore, I diversified and simply flip weapon skins, pets, and basic exotic weapons in between PvP matches.
Here is my history:
Oh man! You guys are awesome! I didn’t know about the Skritt at the Trade Post! He has the Fused Weapons and all of the other limited time skins! Thank you!
I didn’t find that wikki page either. Thanks very much for the info!
Answer: Black Lion Weapon Specialist (Skritt) in the Trade Post House behind the Black Lion Traders next to a stack of rolled up rugs.
Thanks again!
~Van
Can you post a screen where this skritt is located? Thanks
I agree with the OP. Choices got reduced dramatically. I play mostly PvP and I don’t like the new system at all!
Just a simple example: For warrior (under discipline), I cannot have the trait (Warrior’s sprint) to run faster (while using melee weapons) at the same time as the trait (Crack shot) which reduces the recharge of rifles. I always used a melee weapon as my alternative set. As as result, the new system limits my style of play. If anyone can explain to me how I can have both these traits now, I would be grateful!
Also, all the changes that ANET is making to GW2 clearly indicates to me that they are soon going to port GW2 to the next gen consoles (Xbox One/PS4 and beyond), as a wheel-like/icon-based interface is easily usable on a console based controller.

Congratulations! That’s quite a feat.
PvP
Retired from PvE 5 months ago, bringing 18 characters (14 level 80s I think) to PvP…
Why so many? Build differentiation…
I vote for “Deathbringer”, as in using the dead to bring more death…
“Harbringer of Death” doesn’t too bad either.

Is this true? I only get the ones in said attached file.
I’m hoping to get a Berserker ring sometime soon, but it seems like prestine relics will be the way to buy it.
No my friend.
Get enough agony, then do it. And don’t tell them you are a cleric-support player. Don’t use staff for the molten duo. Use scepter/focus, and GS.
I played both GW1 and GW2 – I prefer the Holy Trinity since it lead to:
1. Better cooperative play
2. Way more fun (even when things failed – at least we knew the reason why – i.e. healer disconnected…). Right now, if something goes wrong in GW2, everyone blames the ranger!
3. Did not confuse new players from other games, hence an EASIER learning curve.
Those stupid chests are extremely distracting.
Small boxes popping up in PvP game should appear after game, and then too, I don’t want to click each one, click open to get reward. Have rewards all go into ONE box, and then pick up once.
Too much clicking in GW2.
Sylvari, best Race ever (for me)
My Necromancer and Guardian, only two, but more will come^^
I like the necro, looks like a dark-elf.
Think there should be an option where people can toggle PvP mode in PvE. This must be done BEFORE entering a map. Once one has entered the map, the toggle option will disappear. So, this option is only availabl when leaving FROM the main cities/coming from PvP (obviously).
Those not interested in getting harassed can just turn it off and won’t be affected by PvP bullies.
Everyone’s happy.
noice….
/indeed
you get penalized for doing that. and you lose time. more time than if you had died, even on the fastest PC. If you swap right when you died, you lose not much time, but you still get penalized. i used to do it a lot, but i don’t anymore because of penalty.
I didn’t get penalized!
So, I find this a rather disturbing but hilarious game design.
After the countdown drops to 0 and everyone rushes out, one cannot change weapons.
YET…one can easily log out and return with a completely different character with different weapon sets! (any time after the game has already started)
Someone please explain to me why this is a sensible idea.

Had same problem until I went back and took out the line from the Reddit hosts fix for patch from the last update:
http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/2mq1pe/cannot_patch_client_stuck_at_launcher/
This worked for me. I was having this problem last major patch, and did the fix suggested on reddit (which never fixed the slow download speed, it only got me past the connection error). However, removing that line fixed the issue for this week’s patch and I am able to download at full speed.
Yes, removed the line now, and now its blazing fast. If ANET server guys are reading this, they must have one sick mind to mess with community solutions.
I already tried the reddit fix thing. It doesn’t work anymore
As titled, I cannot update the game. The download speed is at 0 KB/s, and then goes to connection error. Have to close window, close GW2.exe manually and repeat.
I’m in northern California and I use AT&T high speed.
Frustrating.
Warriors, Guards, MEsmers and Ranger are good at using Greatswords, the other 4 classes cant handle it well.
The other 4 classes don’t believe in easy mode!
Spam F on that console, sometimes it works.
‘sometimes it works’ … why break something that used to work 100% before? Wait, that’s ANET. Rather if they had spent their energy and resources doing more productive things like making an expansion, or adding new skills, then I would understand.

this fix worked for me! i’m in game now.
Can anyone confirm that this approach is safe?
Altering the system 32 file through: Edit C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts using notepad (run as administrator)
Then pasting this at the bottom:174.35.56.164 assetcdn.101.arenanetworks.com
This has worked for me. After the slow download of the client itself, it goes much faster with the content files (145 MB or so) from today’s update.
I’m in the game now.

This appears to be working. The download rate is still horrible (0-25KB/s), but it may be getting somewhere…
Annoying as hell. Cannot even login to do bosses…
The game got stale for me already. These days I just follow the zerg around and level new characters. The funny part is I will probably never play them after they reach level 80. To me, the leveling process seems like ‘progress’ is being made.
Shame on them for making this pet – which btw isn’t even that good – this rare. Typical bad game design as usual.
Fractals 50, just before recent update. 3 of 5 got ascended boxes. Sometimes the drops are really skewed.
In the 2nd year of the GW2, Asuras declared themselves as ‘Master Race’, and I rallied behind this call.
Found a pretty spot this evening when it was twilight in the game and also in real life.
Is that Jora’s great great great great great great grand-daughter???
Hehe, I have 3 of these listed!!! Imagine the horror I am going through right now. Just kidding on the horror part. Even though it currently sucks for me since a huge chunk of my money is stuck, I have to say that I have invested quite generously in other sectors of the economy as well and which are doing quite good
Diversification is the key.
The elite dungeons in GW1 were so well made. You could have fun either with a complete noob team or a speed-clear team. Gone are those fun days…
When suggestions pop up for things like “open world PvP” or “remove all waypoints, then add mounts” . . . no, I’m still going to respond with that statement. Because this game is clearly not the one they’re looking for.
But we get the same reactions when we request features in GW1 that are absolutely missing or lacking in GW2, such as more skills, templates, guild halls + battles, elite dungeons (8+ team), etc etc – things that made GW1 fun even 6+ years since it released. On the contrary, GW2 got stale after just 2 years!!!!
Does the Asuka golem still do massive dps?
No, tried and it was awful, back to the “never touching this kitten again” pile that are elite skills.
Rune of the Golemancer typically confuses a lot of pugs when I run it on my Asura guardian. They think I’m using the golem elite, lol…
