With this post, you’ve effectively reported yourself for griefing your server – cool!
The tiger has also seen the Eternal Alchemy.
(Unfortunately, most of the kitties are too small to be seen in the second shot.)

1 more day!
They would be better if we had a downvote button, like reddit
I was at the Claw of Jormag spawn point one day with a bunch of other players, waiting for the event to start. Some guy starting just going OFF in map chat, thought he found himself an audience for his bad behavior. We report the guy and continue waiting.
Then I see a small asura with an ANet tag come up the hill behind the tents. He stands there and listens for a minute and poof – just like that the verbal abuser was gone.
Love how ArenaNet attends to these matters
You think deer are overpowered?
I think the B2P model is the best I’ve seen. I am never locked out of my account for lack of a sub fee and I can choose to purchase gems when I want to show my support for what they are doing with the game.
It’s the only way to play MMOs now
Thanks for taking the time Devon.
There has to be a bug of some sort. SoR is queued right now on green and we can’t get more than 20-25 rallied on our commander. We’ve checked every inch of the map looking for 55 other people running around doing their own thing but they ain’t there.
Late last night I waited in queue to get in borderlands and after waiting was very surprised to find not very many players running around.
That is until I peeked behind the windmill and found an easy hundred players sitting on the grassy knoll watching a GvG match.
I think most players will agree with me that getting grey Porous Bones as the default no loot option is a yeee-UCK kind of feeling.
How about mixing it up with some flavor items? Little snippets of lore, hints on where to find hidden areas, keys to unlock bosses or jump puzzles – I’m sure the creative minds at ANet can come up with a fun alternative to those icky unfun bones
ArenaNet is very strict when it comes to verbal abuse. If you see any player doing that, just right click and report and they will be dealt with.
1) Fractals. Serious, I think I’m addicted to these things.
2) The Eternal Battlegrounds jump puzzle (aka the Murder Pit).
3) World boss events. Yes, I was doing these before the upgraded loot. Love the epic feels.
4) The World. Got my map completion months ago but still discovering things to this day. It’s gorgeous.
5) The Community. Best, funniest, friendliest community of gamers I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing with.
6) Collecting all teh things. Gear, weapons, skins, pets, dyes, toys, etc.
But no matter what goals I may have for my play sessions, I can find anytime I log in to be completely swept away doing something completely different. Game is distracting as kitten because it’s so much fun!
Would you support the implementation of an account wide ignore feature? Now that we have the LFG tool, abuse and griefing will be worse than ever. Why waste time filing a report that will take days to be addressed, when instead, you can just right-click, ignore, and have the offender permanently blocked and prevented from grouping with you. Account wide, because if you annoy me enough to make me never want to group with you again on one character, I will never want to group with you on any other character.
The block feature is accountwide. You can right click their name and block, right click their portrait and block, type the character name or the account ID on your block list.
You will not be grouped with blocked players.
Whereas in a sub game, you can see everything from every dungeon, to every raid, and zone and dallies, etc.
Except you’ll be doing it by yourself since the whole game is designed around the very last raid and everything else is irrelevant and obsolete.
I had a friend recently drop that “game that shall not be named” since with the weekly lockout + RNG it took 2 months to get 1 piece of gear – that’s $30 cash for one stinking piece of gear and you can’t buy it with ingame gold either.

See more people everyday asking how to get the POI north of Eastern Ward in Lion’s Arch. That’s my indicator on how well the game is selling haha.
Increased supply no doubt. Silverwastes is really good.
Just wanted to give a shout out about how much I appreciated the ingame scenes played out by the NPCs at the base camp near the Tower. When the Asura Senna starting having the guilt inducing hallucination, crying and saying it was all her fault and she didn’t deserve to live I nearly lost it. And Bloomanoo seeing the crab – hahahaha!
Very well done, love the voice acting and the stories

Dulfy’s guide has the possible locations if you want more clues
Gaile, has anyone told you that you are awesome lately?
It’s dynamic. You can see servers fluctuate between Full and High depending on the time of day.
Try very late at night/early am to transfer to a Full server.
Bleh, terrible system. They completely destroyed server communities with it and now it’s spread like a disease throughout the whole game. They have the worst gaming community because of that awful system.
If you want to play WoW, go play WoW. This is GW2.
Don’t listen to the hyperbole, they’ve added tons of content to the game. Fractals, Guild Missions, the new Twilight Arbor dungeon, the Tequatl open world raid, jumping puzzles, mini games, new pvp maps, custom arenas, spectator modes and more.
Only stuff that doesn’t make sense for you to do now as part of the Living Story was “removed”. For instance, a couple months back there was an election held ingame for the next council member which also ties in to future content releases. The vote was held, the councilmember decided, it would not make sense for you to participate in a past election.
Many things rotate in and out, like the Super Adventure Box (we just had the 2nd release of it), Labyrinthe Cliffs zone will be coming back and a couple post-launch dungeons that were part of Living Story will be coming back as Fractals later this year.
Start here if you are just coming back:

According to the patch notes:
The Tower of Nightmares content will be available until the tower’s heart is destroyed. Watch the progress as more antitoxin is injected!
So the Tower will survive as long as players on each server allow it. This means that the Tower could be destroyed on some servers but still up on others. Truly dynamic content, this
I’m just going to leave you with this
I understand that initial impulse of wanting mounts after having them in other games, believe me, the first day I played GW2 I felt a twinge after completing a heart or event and by habit hitting the key that used to hold my mount macro. I had over 120 mounts in “that other game” and was quite proud of my collection.
But after playing this game for a couple days, the sheer brilliance of this design decision started to sink in.
If I was on a mount, I would be far less likely to stop and help another player if they were getting overwhelmed by a mob and infinitely less likely to stop, dismount and rez a dead player only to remount and ride off. What would hapkitten people would just ride on by, intent on their destination and leave that player to languish.
This affects the entire culture of the game.
One of the reasons I am loving this game so much is the community, the sense of us fighting things together, not in competition with each other. We aren’t stealing each other’s nodes, loots, or mobs. We aren’t riding by on a mount, impervious to the danger another player is facing.
Systems in game design affect how the players act and react. They can create or destroy communities.
We currently have the best MMO community that I’ve ever seen. Mounts would ruin that.
Go to Southsun Cove – massive farming going on there now and ANet even gave us +200 Magic Find to help
Shhhhh, don’t tell him. Then when ANet announces the expac next week he’ll be all like SEE! ANEt is the smart, they listen to ME!

Go there. Everyone is using it, more than 3.5 mil groups formed on that site in the last couple months. Takes less than 2 mins to get a group.
Otherwise group with guildmates or friends. Very very rarely do I see trying to form a group in mapchat.
D3’s auction house keeps going on even when you’re not there It’s persistent.
Can’t we just say that D3 revolutionized the MMO genre by removing player zergs?
Blizzard is going to have to re-write a heckuva lot of history to try to call D3 a MMO now. Wikis, reviews, press releases, 1000s of game sites. This is funny
- But that is also what I mean, when I say that I feel GW2 as more of the “Tourist” vacation.
To me, WoW was like the tourist vacation where you get on the bus with a tour guide, you are led around from point A to B to C to XYZ with no deviation or choice on your part. Your day is planned, ordered, orchestrated, dull – dotted with little yellow exclamation points along the way.
GW2 is like going on vacation without a map and finding the local spots, the smoky little underground nightclubs where everyone but the tourists hang out. Exploration is rewarded and the journey is rich with discovery. By far the superior choice for those who love MMOs.

Mark KatzbachWe’ve updated the game for routine maintenance only. No content changes were included.
Thank you for the response, Regina.
Ah well, I figured the chance might be slim since Maclaine did say how challenging it was to make the prototype. I guess this charming little creation will just have to move to the realm of my imagination where it will evolve into the most magical of music boxes, becoming more fantastical as the days go by until the dragons circling the base come to life and start breathing fire made of liquid gold.
Dulfy has put together a list of the new weapons and as they’ve been dropping, players are reporting where they got them. You might want to keep tabs on her site
In memory of….
I am all ears…..
Combat is a bit different in GW2. Your priority is to avoid damage over dealing it. There are no strict healers although many professions offer healing support. You can modify your build to be more tanky or bunkerish until you get the hang of avoiding damage. Many people change the keybind of their dodge key for better control.
You can (and should!) maximize damage by utilizing combos. Here’s a good tool that will help you folks learn how to combo off each others skills:
We’ll go into more detail soon, just to re-iterate so it’s clear:
“The next round of major features will be bundled together into a large “feature only” release that will come after the first season of the Living World 2014 has finished.”
A feature release is not an expansion, it’s a release focused on game features. Examples of game features we’ve done in the past would be: guild missions, account achievement system, spectator mode, new pvp maps, daily world boss chests, removing culling and giving visibility options, the WvW WxP system, etc.
Thanks for the heads up and looking forward to seeing what the big features patch brings
There will be a fix for this before year’s end per the developers. Taking a bit longer for the open world culling fix since there’s so many more models.
The Leaderboard shows the last date someone in your guild or on your friends list earned an achievement point. Of course it won’t show if they just logged in to dance in Lion’s Arch or w/e
Ran 1 Urban Battlegrounds Fractal for 100%
Like it or not, WoW is still the most popular MMORPG of the planet.
WoW would need to gain 12 million subs to even touch Age of Wushu. It never has been the most popular on the planet, never will be.
You can only guest on 2 servers a day for your whole account, the events are just more popular now with the increased loot drops.
3 mil+ people, 51 servers – even if there was zero guesting it would be an issue.
I really cant see why anyone would bother with Guildwars 2 treadmill when WoW treadmill works better…
You’ve got to be joking.
In WoW, not only do you have grind and RNG, you get to top it off with a Raid Leader, Guild Master, Loot Council, or Ninja Looter that determines whether you even get a chance at the gear. It’s dreadful.
GW2 is miles ahead of WoW in this respect and so many others.
Actually he has a point. WoW treadmill items are at least innovative with what effects the armor sets do.
Not $180 a year innovative effects.
That’s IF you even get it after the RNG, Raid Leader, Guild Master, Loot Council, and Ninja Looter have had their first shot at it. Let’s not forget you only get this lovely chance at a chance once a week.
You have to be a masochist to play that game.
There’s a reason that GW2’s popularity is soaring.
I know Best Buy has them, also Amazon – but check the price, sometimes the retail cards have a mark up.
