After seeing some of the comments about the OP, I guess I should clarify what I mean by randomize. I believe, in the most basic sense, that you should not know that at exactly X:XXpm the shadow behemoth will spawn on server Y.
The only world boss that has a hard timer like that is Tequatl. All the others have windows.
Balthazar has an obsidian shard put aside for me, for me, for meeeeeeeeeeee!
Zommy and I have a relationship that can only be described as “stormy”.
One day he loves me and lavishes me with gifts and delightful surprises.
The next he hates me with a passion and will barely speak to me, barely contributing anything to our relationship.
It’s complicated.
Items will stay in the Trading Post until you remove the listing.
When you remove it, the items are returned to you. You can get them by going to any Trading Post and using the Pick Up tab.
Most servers have their own private forums as well as their own Teamspeaks. I suggest going to WvW and ask for access.
But how many people out there bought the game because a friend told them it was awesome and in your eagerness to join them, you forgot to ask which server they played on. Thinking the problem can be corrected, you just make an character to see how the game works with the intention of remaking when your friend comes home from work only to find out your SOL because you made a life-altering decision 30 seconds after you installed the game and before you could even decide what kind of character you wanted to make.
The game CLEARLY tells you that your server selection is permanent and there is a transfer fee if you want to change servers.
Healers carry bad players.
/the end
Actually, there are many professions that can create support builds. It’s much more balanced than having a healer and more players prefer to play that way (evidenced by all the waiting everyone has to do for healers in other games).
Somehow I completely missed the opportunity to get a Fused Molten Sickle when it was available!
If you fine folks would be so kind as to list it on the gem store again I would be most appreciative as it would be another way to further customize my elementalist
Gemstore skins are not endgame. They are just for looking cool while you do endgame
Personally I think there are much better looking skins in the game than on the gemstore. Certainly looks that showcase your accomplishments and carry much more prestige.
My look:
Crafted, drop, cultural, dungeon, legendary, order. No gem store items.
French interview confirms raids and housing coming to GW2

When it says dequip after one hour of usage, does that mean it disappears or what?
Just goes back in your bags. It’s a permanent item.
Loving the horn, the cast and interrupt gives a smoother note transistion and more control than the bell. Happy gamer here!
One thing you can do is the /sleep emote to hide your character from view for screenshots. Certain tonics and toys hide your character very well also.
There’s an escort event in Frostgorge Sound near the TP around center map. Escort the merchant and at the end you can buy the tonics from him.
That film noir cutscene with Marjory was really great! I tried to repeat it immediately and was disappointed that it did not play again. :P
Yup.
Trinkets are equipment too.

There’s something like 40 JPs in the game that have no PvP, only the WvW JPs have this added playstyle for players that enjoy the challenge. Also consider that Obsidian Sanctum has the GvG area.
If you truly want to complete this particular JP without PvPing yourself, I recommend bringing along some friends that can help you with the PvP part. Or simply use the Mystic Fountains located throughout the puzzle to stealth through
You can put items into your bank so that your other characters can withdraw them.
Omg where am I what’s going on why am I tied up is that a Shark??? HEEEELLLLPPPP!!!!

They’ve been talking about the next phase of making sPvP more rewarding, of which one of the things on the agenda is being able to use your PvP skins in PvE
No date on it yet, but they’ve been pretty aggressive at getting the new reward program rolled out.
I like the idea of a collapsible/expandable section of the account wallet for zone or event specific currencies.
Maybe do the same thing for the collectibles section of the bank, any mats that are event specific should go there with collapse/expand function to view.
Megaservers appear to be keeping it quite lively
The only reason you don’t hear about it as much is they rarely launch patches. I think they are going on a year now without one and their bug forums are still full of bugs from the last one!
Hey guess what, the same applies for gw2.
No, GW2 launches patches every 2 weeks.
Yet, we still have bugs which exist for over an year or things which took them over a year to fix.
You might be new to MMOs. They all have persistent or recurring bugs, things that are difficult to reproduce since they are such large complicated games.
If you really want to play a bug free game I suggest looking to console or board games because every MMO I’ve ever played, without fail, from the biggest to the smallest, no matter how much or how little PTS they had always had bugs.
My main problem with GW2 is the lack of content.
It’s been a year and a half since release and we’re essentially playing the exact same game.
Does LS not count as content? Sure it’s only temporary, however I found that the LS updates every 2 weeks seemed like more content overall, compared with any other mmos. Also what about Teqautl, Triple Wurm, EOTM, and pvp revamp? Pretty sure these are fairly large bits of content added, on top of LS.
Don’t forget Fractals, Guild Missions, new jumping puzzles and PvP maps
I got a chuckle when I saw a charr with the name “Where My Charr Dude”.
I always liked them <3
In no particular order:
Fluid gameplay
Non-linear style with sandboxy elements
Friends, guildies, realmies, best MMO community I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing with.
EB JP
Fractals
And the simply gorgeous open world.
I knew within the first 10 minutes of playing the beta that this game was going to be something special
Congratulations!
Dulfy took some notes on what we did see today:
http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/1stq6j/2013_retrospective_developer_livestream_notes/
There are 2.5 million players logging in every week. The game is getting new content every 2 weeks and much has been done to improve the core game and rewards systems.
I get the feeling he hasn’t attempted 6 gambit Lliadri
Try exiting the game (to your desktop) and logging in again.
If that fails, try clearing your internet cache.
So if it’s just a dungeon with more people, what exactly about raids makes them so popular?
There’s the fallacy.
They are only popular with a very small niche community. Even WoW with it’s 8 million subscribers has less than 300k people raiding.
Quaggan party? Time for some Bollaball!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=UcVzFLl77zM#at=307
and there’s a few thousand people using the trade post at all times,
…more like a few million
Things Lion’s Arch has that no other city has:
Portal hub to all major cities
Fractals entrance
Portals to WvW
Mystic Forge
Dungeon token vendors
3 jumping puzzles
Portal to Southsun Cove
Ship to Labyrinthe Cliffs
But it looks like August will be bringing content to Divinity’s Reach. Keep your eye on that tent!
If server populations were such a problem, why didn’t they just bite the bullet and do server merges?
I know that’s a DIRTY WORD in MMO-land, but honestly the megaservers are killing the game in a way that server merges could never hope to do. Nobody wants to play a game where tagging mobs is impossible, where doing guild missions is like waiting in the queue at the post office, and where I hear nothing but hate speech because someone dared to type to map chat in a language that isn’t english
It wasn’t a server populations problem, it was a map population issue. Some maps just didn’t get that much traffic.
It’s also a way of future proofing the game for when they open new zones this year and the older ones will naturally have less traffic.
For the record I’m loving Megaserver tech. Needs a couple tweaks but it’s a very good change to see a city like Hoelbrak be a bustling metropolis.
As an ex-hardcore raider from another MMO, I LOVE that I’m not held hostage by a guild for content or loot. None of that application nonsense, no backstabbing for a raid spot, forget all the politicking to beg for scraps from a loot council – I am DONE with that business! Never again!!
I have 3 guilds now – my WvW guild, my guild missions guild and my Tequatl slaying guild and love them all \o/

Casual or hardcore generally refers to the amount of time a player invests in a game. I think you are talking more about skilled play vs. those who are still learning.
Personally I think the game offers a nice mix of content to appeal to all these spectrums. For instance in the Queen’s Jubilee patch going on right now we have Queen’s Pavilion (for the general population) and Queen’s Gauntlet (for players that want to show their prowess).
My long lost sister was trapped in the forge for an eon. Turns out she accidentally fell in when an overzealous Guardian was running about recklessly hitting his hammer 4 when he launched her into the air and she landed smack dab in the middle of the forge, fell to the bottom and was only able to survive from the random bits and scraps of food people tossed in there.
She made her escape during Wintersday by way of the snowglobe. If it hadn’t been for Tixx, she’d still be there.
This is the thread for WvW bugs, if you are seeing anything unusual you should report it there.
Is it definitely meant to be 25 gems and isn’t a typo on Anet’s part? It would make sense if it was 125 gems or 250. 25 gems is the cheapest thing I’ve seen in the gem store (except the freebies they sometimes “sell”)
Well, I can’t complain. I bought the skin simply because how cheap it is. I like collecting a nice variety of armour pieces and the cheaper the better
Not a mistake, this is the same price they first sold them for back in 2012
The trinity is training wheels for those that can’t get out of the fire.
I see so many negative topics around here, ofc it is good to note things that can be improved or added but it is also important to let you ppl know that your work on this game is very much appriciated! thats why i made this topic, thx for all the updates and thx for the most recent guild missions! it will make the game a lot more fun for guilds!
+1 Great job ArenaNet!
Yes, you get to keep it. It is a permanent addition to the skills.
It needs to be obtained on each character you want the skill on. You will be able to obtain it forever.
