Every good WvW commander knows this rule: banner rez downed, leave defeated until fight is over. PvE is not an exclusion.

worm works fine for me, you probably have high ping
Also, notice how in rata sum, near the Super Adventure Box, small holographic gears are starting to breach ‘the reality’.
My impression is that SAB is developing ‘self-conciousness’ and is taking direct measures to prevent any attempt to substitute it as a learning method or shut-down it.
The other Krewe research is a direct competitor of SAB in developing new learning methods for young asura. If this alternate project gets ahead, SAB project could be shelved in favour of the ‘direct brain upload’ method, which will mean the end of SAB.
SAB is only defending itself…
And all this without mentioning that the alternate project is being developed by Moto’s ex-Krewe, which mercilessly kicked Moto, and that the SAB matrix is built around Moto’s own perceptions… Which at a subconscious level, can easily identify Moto’s ex-Krewe as ‘the enemy’, and harbor resentment feelings towards them.

Actually, it was Dragon Quest first. They changed the name of the first game to Dragon Warrior when it was brought over to North America. By the time game 7 was released here, brand loyalty had instilled enough familiarity with the series’ real name, so they went back to Dragon Quest.

On a related note, does anyone know what video game this boss is inspired by?
King toad of the funghus kingdom is an obvious reference to Wart from Super Mario brothers 2 (see attachment) but I have no idea what the Storm Wizard would be. The dragon destroying platforms reminds me of Megaman somewhat…
EDIT: actually, he’s probably inspired by the “Dragonlord” from the original Dragon Warrior (which later became Dragon Quest) who starts off as a weak wizard and turns into his ‘true form’ after taking enough damage.

Fafnir, the claim of thousands is about the number of norn. There were only four spirits of the Wild who fought Jormag – Owl, who is known to have died, Eagle, Ox, and Wolverine.
There are indeed more than four Spirits of the Wild – there’s the four most prominent ones (Bear, Raven, Wolf, and Snow Leopard), as well as other minor ones (Wurm, Minotaur), then the “far flung” ones (Gorilla, Otter), and likely many we don’t know about.
We also have no clue what the scroll he had with him did, just that he had it when he came to Hoelbrak (we don’t even know for certain if he had it while he fought Jormag) – nothing indicates it was “super magic” nor claims that it made him “100x stronger than the human gods.” And if you note, I made exclusive mention of both aids he had earlier in the thread.
The only proper source of undead in GW2 would be Risen. And those aren’t even a race. Not to mention Risen are Zhaitan’s minions.
There are non-Orrian undead as well.
Half of Elona (more or less) is full of Undead for one.
This thread reminds me of the story about an American that fried his Cat while trying to dry her in his Microwave and then later filled out a successfull lawsuit against the Manufacturer because the Microwave didn’t had a sign on it that prevented him from doing so.
I and serveral other people even solo’d it in Tribulation Mode multiple times. Not speaking that there is even an Infantile Mode that makes it almost like an completly brainless encounter as you have little Rainbow-Highways everywhere.
You can’t expect to manage all content solo without even seriously trying to learn the mechanics. Thats called trolling. That ‘s what destroys content for all people. Endlessly crying for nerfs and easier content – because they don’t even try to learn and don’t even put a little bit of effort into it. And I’m not even talking about the fact to not even try out something for serveral weeks just because there ’s a sign that states that this content was intended for a group of 5 players without seeing for yourself.

“Do you get to the Cloud District very often?”
Lol that’s skyrim, go away XD
Some guildies and I were running a fractal earlier tonight, and got the Grawl on round 2. We were doing really well until the shield went down on the Grawl Shaman. I guess I got a little too enthusiastic in getting to the shaman to start taking him down, because my character (a Norn guardian) somehow clipped through the walkway of the shaman’s altar and ended up stuck inside the rock.
I was able to contribute to the fight with short-range skills, because the shaman was right next to me, but that also prevented my sword #2 teleport from bringing me OUT of the rock…..because I was already right next to the shaman. Once he was down, I even tried jumping into the lava below, but couldn’t get out of the rock no matter what I tried.
The rest of the party went to take on the Elemental boss without me, but I was pretty bummed about missing the chests for the rest of that round. Then I realized…..I still had an unopened gift from Scarlet sitting in my inbox!
I’m sure you can see where this is going. Grabbed the present from my mail, popped it, and promptly died…..which allowed me to continue from a checkpoint and finish the rest of the round.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how Scarlet Briar saved my life (sort of) by trying to kill me. Guess she’s good for something after all. I like to think that she’s sitting in her Fortress of Solitude (or wherever she hangs out when she’s not terrorizing Tyria) gnashing her teeth in fury because her evil plan backfired so horribly.

Wat?
Honestly I think the jump in difficulty between World 1 and World 2 is entirely appropriate for a game based on old-school platformers.
Look at the original Mario and Sonic games for example, the first level of both could be completed pretty much by holding down right and pressed A occasionally. But as soon as you’re beyond the first few levels you’ve suddenly got a lot more to deal with, traps, enemies you can’t jump on, power-ups you need to acquire and use at the correct moments, lava. If anything I think World 2 of SAB is more forgiving than the Marble Zone in Sonic coming right after Green Hills.
Naruto is such a awful anime.
Basilisk, now that’s a good anime about ninjas.
This post also reminds me of this.

Dodge Jumping isn’t required for anything.
I can dodge jump at will without failing. The only time I fail is when I aim wrong with the jump.
Of course it’s hard, but you can do all jumps with a normal jump. The question is if that works faster.
What are your favourite hated spots in Trib mode?
I know some of you are perfekt and do not die at all even in Trib mode.
For the rest of us mortals, every one certainly has one spot it took ages to get over.
Which traps are the meanest? Which jumps do you fear?
My personal horror ist W1Z2 that double jump over the rocks with the large fakey. I get killed mid jump because the server forgot to check where I am, the rock nails me, I dip my toenail in the lava upon landing and when I finally make the jump, that meany upper leaf blocks my jump upwards and pokes me into the lava. Whoever designed that part: you are eeeevil. That dev probably has a goatee and keeps stroking a white cat. XD
PS: I love trib mode, for some reason I keep giggling while I die.
First off, commanders aren’t chosen and you can have as many as you want on a map. And anyone can buy the commander tag for 100g.
Your suggestion sounds like a decent idea, but it needs something to keep it from being a mess of everyone trying to be a squad leader. I think it should still have a cost, but nothing like the 100g a commander tag takes. Maybe have it purchasable with badges or through wvw abilities.
Having map tags for small teams without a commander would be nice, especially for commanders running a multi-team map vs a single zerg. The biggest hurdle would be getting people to actually join and use the squads, but that might work better with your idea since the icon itself changes with squad size. I rarely join squads right because joining one commander totally hides the others’ icons. I think for any multi-tag/commander system every icon should remain visible to all players, but have a different color for the squad you are a member of.
I love SAB, when i first seen it..it was amazing. So i don’t want it to be gone forever, but i think maybe it has come back too soon. Would be cool for april fools to have some other style of game implemented for a bit.

I can’t imagine how frustrating world 1 must be now for first timers with only one life at a time….
I doubt I would have enjoyed it nearly as much the first time around without the 5 starter lives.
I am in the “Don’t stop it, but slow it down a bit” group.
I like the idea that we have new content, albeit temporary every few weeks, but…there is so much of it that I think a large bloc of us are overwhelmed.
I am not worried that I missed a few LS “chapters.” I didn’t do much of the Flame and Frost, and I didn’t do any of the Southsun Cove, but I got in on a bit of the Aetherblade/Zephyr Sanctum stuff, and I did enjoy it. The current Clockwork Chaos story is a lot of fun for me, even if it is a zerg-fest.
The worst part about the whole thing is that it’s being pushed too fast. Things should be a bit more relaxed. Logging in and knowing that I only have 2 weeks (or 3) to be able to fit all of the achievements and abilities in is frustrating. There’s enough content there to be able to spend a month or two on it. In the end, I wind up hanging around in LA wondering what to do next. By the time I’ve made up my mind, the content is gone, and on to the next.
TL;DR:
Don’t get rid of it. Just slow it down some.
The only thing I currently use karma for are the jewel boxes. I save up several hundred thousand, buy open up a beer or two and click away.
Selling the junk nets a few gold, I get several of the same minis that I cant do anything with, the very rare lodestone, more karma to spend, or the very rare obby shard.
Im not really going for my legendary, but just from doing this, Ive been able to supply myself with enough obby shards to complete the mystic forge daily (use 5 times) each time it is a daily.. and then even use the mystic forge even more for those clovers. I still have like, 90.
Karma is as available as air, and as useless as the Kardashians.
And dont tell me you live in a vaccum while watching the Kardashians either.
Edit: I think I found my first forum signature here… :p
Coining that phrase about Karma.
Maybe he’s afraid.
I suggested that in a different thread, 50% gold reward if you run the path again on an alt, no gold reward if one character does a path twice.
But I think that would break the likes of CoF1, you could run it once for every character and still make a lot of gold. Even 50s is too much reward for CoF1 IMO.
I believe people who voted for Kiel hadn’t even read the website update of what the rewards would be, Evons rewards were better I mean comeone, it’s Abaddon stuff!
Well I wasn’t thinking the abaddon stuff would be a fractal, I was more thinking that we would be going to the Ring of Fire in Tyria and explore some new cool stuff there. But that’s just me.
Gnashblade was cool
I’m sure you’d agree
but his claim to fame
was RNG
If he had won,
we’d never be free,
from the costly and random
Black Lion Key
So, Fractals, or not
It’s so easy to see
It would have been bad
for you, and for me
I truly understand,
just how you feel,
but your wallet will thank us
that we voted for Kiel
The story of one golem’s quest for gainful employment:
Now condemned to serve us forever as a second-rate salvage machine
Evon’s rewards were kinda crap compared to Kiel’s.
Now that Kiel won we will see something new about the Thaumanova Reactor.
Seriously Kiel’s rewards were a lot better than Evon’s. And who cares about Lion’s Arch meaningless shallow politics?
It’s all about the rewards in my opinion.
I believe people who voted for Evon hadn’t even read the website update of what the rewards would be. Kiel’s rewards were better. I mean come on, it’s Asura stuff!
Do not expect an enemy that has understandable motives, has a good moral and can be liked.
You mean like Canach?
