if players didnt had resistance they would still not have time to cleanse, or didnt even had that window.
Still resistance was a lame adition to not adress what is wrong, its like put broken gimmick on top of broken gimmick in hope to cover it.

they could i guess revert some of the class buffs they did for wvw only if the problem persisted afyer they adressed resistance

Since WVW is treated as pve i dont think that will ever happen, one good way to deal with this would make every auto atack stop being a cleave + condi spam, less “splash” damage (i really hate when some guys are focusing on the target near me and im taking the same damage as well…), and focus only in one target, that would make less condi spreading and player focusing more one player to stack conditions.

Epidemic still works in the same way, its the conditions mechanics that is broken for pve reasons.

GW1 had LOTS of condi spreading skills, still was f*** balanced, and required good team work to be efective and decent team with comunication to cleanse.

People with resistance and lot of conditions… should ask for condi cleanses, wich it feels what Anet gave by make players request lightfields during combat, the issue is Anet is expecting every one to run runes with durability and classes with resistance.
Wich one of balance problems with this game, theres to much condi aplyers if was harder to overstack conditions, epidemic would be less efective, and thus still good on condi pressure like it was on GW1, while condi bombing should be possible as well.

resistance needs to work this way cause it is to easy to overstack conditions and burn the condition removers, stop to blast light fields its dangerous and might be inefective due how easy is to condi bomb+aoe damage, the group that is blasting will need resistance to pause condi ticks and then blas heals to cover the direct aoe damage that was taking during the blast.

and theres to much aoe/cleaves spam… if u hit some with agood damage u will hit several players that u werent even targeting…. “to much splash damage…”

same thing can happen if its just a flat dmg reduction itgivesyou time to react and start cleansing.

i dont think that willd ever work… with what Anet pretend of this game, it is to easy to abuse(leech) from conditions… epidemic is just the way to spread what is already broken in larger scale, with just a reducer it still possible to achieve large amounts of damage.
When every one is taking alot of “splash” damage already and then takign damage from condi nukes.

I could see what u say working but to make it healthy gameplay game should deppends less on aoe spam and players should have a more target to target combat then epi should be the condi bomb pressure.

condi ranger dont need more damage its already a good conid burst, nor elementalist is in need of more damage, still they didnt adressed what needs to be adressed.

When ic some one saying viable dps i imagine that person screamming “i want to be carried by dps”.

Have you ever really heard someone scream that they want to be carried by dps (whatever that means) or is it all just imagining? That doesn’t exactly sound like something worth screaming.

But at the end it is what players want, and what i see what Anet is giving to them since HoT introduction.

so you are saying that nerfing powerhouse classes like condi ranger or ele hence allowing more classes to be played in their role is bad and hows that connected with ppl asking to be carried?

I never talked about nerfing those specs, i said they are fine with their damage output, they dont need buffs besides on some weapons underused.
Making more classes and roles played for players tranlates as in “damage output” every one hopes for their favourite weapon hit the top 1 damage.

The fix is easy, remove the skill. It doesn’t need to be in the game at all.

It was a mesmer skill for condi pressure on the last GW game, but then condis were needed skill to play arround them, here it is to much due how overall condi stacking and damage output carry the players.

One loser thief did die today 1 vs 5. No idea how he can be that bad.

alot of players are actually making new thiefs, when i was makign the rev theres were alot of lvl 1 thiefs in the start area.

Players only play builds that do or cut the effort for them a the end, so i guess that is why theres alot of thiefs trying out the stealth gimmick, we will see more and more, still Anet wont “fix” it unless theres a 20-30 man of stealth trappers, wich would be fun to happen in wvw.

I’m still the idiot running around with minion master builds thinking its going to work one day. Minions last like 0.5 seconds in a fight I swear lol

Dont feel bad… MM wasnt that bad some were very deadly and heavy condis burst.

I was using some Spirit Weapons over this 4 years while playing WvW….
They last shorter than minions ^^, and bow that cleanse condis also bugs and clears condis from target….or desigingage form combat and got observe the wildlife at max range on the oposite side of the battle……true story.

How it works in gw1 doesn’t matter to me to be honest. I also don’t see how “it’s not like gw1” is an explanation for how it is skillless.

Its all about the concept and principles of what works well and what exist but was designed to be broken by nature, they should ported what was working well from the combat scheme to gw2 and then improve the combat.

We had alot of interactions between skills and conditions, now we only have aplyers and removers and even that is awfully worked out. but so are other things in game, its like Anet wanted to avoid spend time balancing the skills yet the skills ended worse than before, was a bad design from start.

On Gw1 conditions were part of the normal gameplay and not something that players can hope to stack in expection to cut effort or even leech, for condi pressure would be needed a team spike, or a mesmer with epidemic or another way to spread condis, here that isnt even necessary and when it happens its more a condi nuke than a condi bomb.

It is not a inteligent combat scheme, it looks very ugly,a nd theres to much aoe stuff…..and i dont feel rewarded by the low effort high damage that is possible to achieve with some builds.

Ive managed to get 2x 10k burn ticks with my burn guard on a few players… and that is super dull not even clever gameplay, reason IT SHOULD matter to the players to play a decent pvp game like we had in gw1, as much gw1 had its problems… ANet should import some characteristics that were workign well at the end, would save them from future headaches or keep changing the same over and over and over.

…. Heard that guys ? Necros can almost outrun a warrior ! I learn new things everyday. Didn’t read the rest, I can’t take something like this seriously.

lets see DH.. moving faster rotation…. F3 -> RF -> F3 -> GS leap -> swap to sword -> target ambient creature -> symbol of blades -> select another ambient creature -> JI -> taget ally ->MI -> swap to GS -> repeat ->…

Butl it only worked because the players that were folowing the DH none had CC….

Meanwhile in my warrior i only need 2 skills rotation that will remove hard CC and give buuffffs and if swap weapon itwill clear condis as well.

How about nicking CU’s solution of making stealthers see other stealthers when in stealth?

Or Anet could take the lesson and make every class having this gimmick… no fights, no lag, players would only notive the fps drop when zerg is nearby, no players complaning about dumb skillbalance.

Everyone stealthed.

Condi damage will get boosted over time, more traits more aoe more condi being stacked, the lightfields are a change so they can keep their mentality of players being carried by damage output being in phisical or condi.

Condi isn’t “skillless” it just isn’t instant. Power does damage instantly and condi over time. Condi risks a cleanse and doing no damage even after landing an attack.

And anet is not removing a fundamental game mechanic because you don’t understand it. Sorry.

Condi isnt skilless in gw1, but it is in gw2 at least how Anet made it work.
When mixed with the power creep to carry its players so they look good and efective it becomes to strong.

Conditions should had stayed as they were working on gw1, the Anet mistake was wanting conditions become hexes + conditios in one effect, one of the reasons it becomes far easiers to play with conditions then some other builds.

Rework Tactics/defense banner

If they change Tactics banner it shouldnt be cond duration, its not a DPS banner as strenght and discipline.
The 180 healing power should be changed to 10% outgoing heal, so its more in line with the other healing buffs of the game and maybe will find its use.
Defense could go in the same line with flat 5 or 7% damage reduction + -10% condition duration, instead of toughness and vitality.

That would make Anet increase the damage output even more… in some other place, wich would be a bad thing at the end.
Game is not about balance, it is about leech what works the best, i doubt they do stuff like that as much i would like it still what will happen is that damage output will get higher first… and then they will try to cover it up.

Actually reward tracks was a trap, it makes players accept the Anet ktrain model and thus players feel rewarded by cap empty structures and have low effort rewards.

Too bad that “ktrain model” is the only thing that keeps up the WvW pace.

If the only thing that got you points was sitting in an objective, everyone would just AFK macro in an objective or sit on 20+ arrowcarts all day, whoever bunkers the best get the rewards.

Is that supposed to be better than objectives being fought over and flipped frequently?

If I wanted to just farm by sitting still I’d go put a minion master necro in bitterfrost or something.

Well the trick is that many guild and players were in need of certain materials that so they tower/keep would be desirable to get.
Dont care about ppt but what might come from that keep/tower it would be what makes players fight over the structure/camps players would have to scatter in groups objectives instead one big ktrain while the other server have no players or is capping another bl map.

Notice that i talk about change hows server matchups works, reason it would be needed serveral types of maps to get all those players on, and each map could interact via mechanics wich other.

humm.. still structures would have to be limited to some places where siege could be dropped i can stack 4+ superios ac’s in one small place :\ this needed to be adresses as well… bunker on siege would not be a good thing as well, maybe some banner could be changed to buff trebs to force ground fights

(EDIT) alot could be done to avoid sleeping over siege now that im thinking off.. :\

The structure that many players want, that is to have decent figths Anet dont agree with it…it creates lag and players start to notice how broke is some class stacking, reason why WvW has become a server cap and leave farm, more than fight for something or some goal.

Many players said alot of good sugestions over this 4 years, they never went bold in inovation since they cant do that, its just another marketing placebo….just has pvp was on esl is….gw1 pvp deserves to be way more in ESL than gw2.

So here are mine or what i would like to gw2 to have to be compaired to game with good content to fight for: sadly other mmo’s have alot more content and mechanics than gw2 has this is what GW2 lack to have as much content and mechanics has other games has*
Gw2 has the craphics but lacks everything else to be a decent mmo.
GW2 has no Integrity and no strucure, and barelly has decent mmo mechanics.

-Caping structures GIVES NO reward – rewards come for how long guild/groups holds the structure.

- EACH tower keep has its own reward materials and gear, SMC when holded for a very very long time, give mats to craft percursors as example or might even drop very good stuff ascended hoT stats gear as example.

Tower reward system, would also give materials that can be used for GH improvement, thus creating a link system with the camps, altough these camps would need protection for guild continue to receiving certain ammount of mats that can be used for GH stuff.
Each tower keep would have a random quality of materials(where only one could be selected), and they would also have to cap and defend the camp on the map that would have that material.

-Disable EOTM, for a week or two.

-FIX wall and places were players can glitch or use siege to hit towers, in places that is impossible to defend or stop from gltiching.

-REMOVE nodes from structures

-Create a Guild Room to collect those chest over time or maybe some npc that gives the treasure room reward.

-Design a quest system where commanders can set quests for the havok groups, the havock group that was set for that will receive a rewards after their mission expiration time, by camps destroyed, supply cows killed, players killed at a determined zone, camps defended, enemy groups detected/scouting.

The deatmatch map are fine, still instead of server and linking s and alot of pretend to work crap would be better to remove all of that to a allience system, something that could be even come from lore.
Drop the server system and LINK if possible, IT IS NOT WORKING AND ITS DAMAGING the game, create a structure where alliance can be formed, leaders can define wich allience/guilds are neutral/enemy/allied with so players could regroups with the actual server cumminity , so nothing could be lost in that.

-There now 3 types of matches..

Air level with flying islands… 1 large X and Y map, with serveral floating islands with tower and castle to take, guild needed to spent a good amount of resources to build a airship ^^ and atack other guild keep, this were more centered to direct guild to guild fights, airships could even board each other.

-Ground level, is what we have now, they need only to remove the underground fire keep zone from the DBL, and maybe we need a 3 maps, alpine and artic map meybe?

-underground level, 1 map where was mostly with towers and crystal type of materials and camps that could supply top structures.

AND KITTEN ANET BE BOLD.. stop lamewars!

Anet puts a system in place, players gamethe system and then blame anet for allowing them to do it.

Its clear that more people want to ‘win’ than be competitive otherwise these massive imbalances wouldn’t exist.

So, I blame anet for being absent and unwilling to dedicate resources to building a better framework, but the real culprits are the players who use the tool to their advantage (and then come here to whine about it).

What are u talking about with such irony? As IF Anet were working to solve the issues…
This game is far from being competitive in pvp or WvW….
They havent done anything meaningfull, besides the culling issues.
And what framework??

This is a dead horse topic, Anet dont care about it, and they cant have servers figthing with their population peak in the same timezone.

Just wait for next xpac, im sure they will add more and more stealth as anet seems to love it.

Well if u notice every class will have something that other classes hav, as example DH received stealth trough rune when laming traps, bow and traps on utilities.

I would never go back to playing Longbow once I started playing zerger greatsword/mace shield. Its too good. Skill level is definitely higher then lamebow.

Whirling Wrath should NOT slow movement speed! Please, if any dev is listening, give this feedback to the team responsible for balancing Guardian.

I LIKE how ANet changed GS for the BETTER! LB #3 change is GREAT!!

I DISLIKE the changes to DH F1 and trap heal… Come on now! We don’t have over the top survivability.

I only hope that GS will be on par with sword/shield or focus. LB/GS should burst the mess out of people! Feel My Wrath Should be a Meditation… Make it give only us quickness… I’ll use it =]

I said it wasn’t over the top, I never said they don’t have “top notch survivability”. DH’s survivability was good. It wasn’t over the top. The increase in cast time + reduction in healing sucks :/

i talked to a rev that was not set to healing stuff and he was healing almost 2k with tablet, a guardian to achieve this value need at least 1k healing power plus several healing output modifiers, and healing stats on guard kills the guardian he is nothing that a weak healbot that does not have sueviability alone while other classes can still do alot of damage compared with guardian with healing stats.
Guardian surviability comes from damage + gimmick heals like meditations that dont need healing power to heal 2k ish as well.

its a dumb gimmick at the end…

It’s like Guardian is balanced and has to make choices and everything else is overtuned… To heal you should have to invest in HP, but all of the HoT healers do everything(Guardian really is a base spec healer, some use DH but it doesn’t add much). If anything other healers still need to be nerfed to not do insane damage while being indestructible for what they stat for. I still believe ranger pets should scale off of the ranger’s stats.

And we need better spirit weapons at least low CD since while we are casting them its eneught time to get bursted down.

Seems defense has gone out the window. Since the patch teamfights seem to be over in seconds. Power necro basically hardcounters itself with it’s own burst. LB ranger hit me for 90% of my Demolisher Necro’s HP on his 4>2 opener, but I still managed to kill him ~10 seconds later. I mean shoot I was in a match with Nos and he went down in the first ~20seconds.

I’m seeing fights where both teams will have 2-3 dead at the same time. This isn’t PvP this is flipping murder.

carryign players with damage output that is what gw2 was ment to be, reson game is know to be a dumbest mmo for pvp.
when when u have strenge people workign on balance patches that dont even know what to do that is what is to expect.

they cant even make a decent figth game… its all based in power creep gimmicks…

Whirling Wrath should NOT slow movement speed! Please, if any dev is listening, give this feedback to the team responsible for balancing Guardian.

I LIKE how ANet changed GS for the BETTER! LB #3 change is GREAT!!

I DISLIKE the changes to DH F1 and trap heal… Come on now! We don’t have over the top survivability.

I only hope that GS will be on par with sword/shield or focus. LB/GS should burst the mess out of people! Feel My Wrath Should be a Meditation… Make it give only us quickness… I’ll use it =]

I said it wasn’t over the top, I never said they don’t have “top notch survivability”. DH’s survivability was good. It wasn’t over the top. The increase in cast time + reduction in healing sucks :/

i talked to a rev that was not set to healing stuff and he was healing almost 2k with tablet, a guardian to achieve this value need at least 1k healing power plus several healing output modifiers, and healing stats on guard kills the guardian he is nothing that a weak healbot that does not have sueviability alone while other classes can still do alot of damage compared with guardian with healing stats.
Guardian surviability comes from damage + gimmick heals like meditations that dont need healing power to heal 2k ish as well.

its a dumb gimmick at the end…

DH still has a ridiculously low skill floor… check.
Warrior passive defense unmangled… check.
Thief weapon set nerf… check.
Zerg composition the same… check.

thats would be the balance Anet likes, a low skill foor to maintain alot of badies thinking that they are good @ something…

WvW, with 0 attention from ANet, was always pointless. However, with YB and SBI in the same tier, there are tons of good guilds to scrim and hella good fights to be had. Enjoy it before relinkings mess things up again.

Actually Anet gave atention to WvW, for what they belive WvW should be, the problem is that the issue that lies in wvw is so core deep that they cant do nothing to fix it, and/or they believe these core issues are a good thing.

DH doesn’t need any nerfs outside of trap stacking nerf. Warriors need quite a few nerfs. Making condi’s occassionally work against them would be a nice start.

i would say bzerker need a shave, not warrior, warriors needs improvements in alot of utilitie like banners for example(gamewide).

well im almost re-uninstallign the game as well just waitting for the 22 patch.

Gw2 is pretty in artwork but besides that is it not a good game, decent but not good… and for pvp/wvw theres way much better games.

gw2 is the worst mmo i played since beggining of the 2k’s, still the pretiest, its ok to install it and play for a few day then remove it again after a poker face while reading the game updates…

yeah true.. to make them worth they add at least to remove waypoints, still the areas are way to mob crowed to spam aoe gameplay, so it would be a OP combat mount to carry the pve skirtz, and map is to small to justify the use of mounts..

Still…. making WvW flying airship controlled by guilds…. where we could atack floating islands and conquer stuff from other players -.- …. would be a nice adition but would end not fitting on the game as well…

They probably just said that to ease the mount lovers, they migh have discarded that already since it conflits alot with the game.

I really hope they won’t make any new specializations and overhaul them instead, so that it offers a different playstyle. Honestly, I would just implement new weapons that can be used by all classes, no matter the specialization.

that means a normal speacialization instead of a elite one, wich makes more sense than the elite crap Anet did.
Elite specialization should be a boost that could be aplyed to roles and several weapons and not tied to dumb gimmick gameplay.

They said the same about capes 4 years ago, since there was to much clipping or colision detec required they were scrapped :P

@that is why does not make sense to make aurene a mount and bring back Gleam.

If you don’t promote wvw play with server/guild communities you end up a ghost town. If that means tagging up and being a commander yourself then do it. Even I will pugmander and I don’t TS or anything. Just got to be brave/bold/adult and do it.

If they are so amazing you cannot fight them in defense, go offense on their stuff. Kill it, flip it or tag it. Its what I call setting a borderland on fire.

That is what i call ktrain back while they ktrain out stuff :P saddly most time end with more people apearing from the other server outmanign the group i am or we can ktrain due how big the group is, its mostly ktrain or be ktrained situations theres no midle ground

Still i love to see my side lossing stuff near keeps when every one is at one place, the same happens to the other servers… ktrains all that matters is not fight players and fight empty stuff.

(this is how bad wvw is)

delete the folder directly

then unnistall it via the Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features
it will say that cant find the content and it will remove the registry.

if u have some tool run a registry checkup to delete regestry that are left overs form uninstalled stuff, usually paid antivirus do this.

Legendary guilds stayed on gw1…. gw2 blob stack n spam blast blast dodge doege, does not ment much about skill.
it made some players get better at group wvw spam game but doesnt meant a thing about legendary guilds..

lol I don’t even have a full set of ascended armor on any character I have and ive been playing since the start.

That’s just not possible unless you only farm queensdale and RP in Divinities reach.

i dont have a full set as well, what i have has been from wvw chest, and laurers.

my warrior has 3 ascended pieces and my guardian has 1 armor piece, and im out of mats for converting a amor piece to the stats i want :P

Crafting is another thing that Anet failed hard, reason they are doing this changes….
