Fool me once with 4 maps and the answer is now no and once I see what’s in it, who knows? For now I’m with Ubisoft’s Divison where we already know everything coming in for the next year as in 3 free DLC and 3more that we already paid for in the season pass. Now that’s what I call communication and not the marshall law of silence.
Reminds me of how Anet used to be dueing GW 1. See you guys at LS 3’s launch.

Division got bored to me.. i “cheated” (game flaws has they say, so did not get banned and could kept what i cheated) to much there at the beggining, almost everything was client sided on a online game, they have been changing that and adding more control, but before was a ubber joke.

I moved to BDO, the Guild warfare, is amazing guilds can even conquer cities declare war to others and fight on map…… there are even guilds dedicated for fishing and trade…

They also need to change back to the old waypoint system.

For the war room change an easy fix would be to just switch object aura 8: +5 supply at level 37, with object aura 1: 20% magic find at level 6, leave the cost just switch the auras. Guild hall level 6 isn’t hard to get and will make small havoc teams effective again.

they need to redesign WvW, how Guild works, not only war room, stop pretending guild exist etc, guild arent important to the game…. i doubt it will happen somethign like that, if not wvw is to simple, and dumbed down based on flip redundancy 24/7 for ppt only, and imo that is lost time playing anything better….. gw2 feels way to old and simple as one of those mmo’s we can play on out android tablet, that is how complex this game is….

Problem is anet dug themselves into a corner with the gimmicky garbage because its part of guild upgrades. (…)

Part of that and everything else…… instead of working on good mechanics and improving design they choosed to hide what game lacks with those called mechanics….

IT will be impossible to get out of that hole or change the game that much to give a good player experience overall…. but ill wait to see what they will make.

1. Do something to bring back some sense of world identity outside of WvW. Megaserver killed all that.

2. Actual rewards that are comparable to other game modes. Playing WvW is a net loss to your income. You don’t generate enough rewards to replenish consumables or work on ascended gear (which has the value in WvW due to the downleveling issues with it in the PvE world)

3. Some way to actually progress the guild upgrades in WvW and not PvE.

4. Reduced map size of borderlands which killed a lot of it for me.

5. Some actual support for GvG in WvW, so it’s not isolated and private to the arenas in guild halls. The introduction of the arenas and the enjoyment loss from the new maps turned my old WvW guild into a GvG guild. I didn’t have any interest in just fighting over guilds in a private arena for no rewards, so I left.

Please dont mixture blob spam waterfields, and GvG…. gvg’s was a good pvp game mode from GW1.

Lower Arrow carts Damage by 35%

Lowering native damage means that lot of groups will stand still inside AC shower as if nothing was hitting them, humm even inside toxic some groups can stand and needs several AC to stack good poison stack.
On sup ac ic damage lower than 1k, sometimes arround 750-900, max arround 2.5k.

Before nerf/abalance AC damage A lot of things need to chang.

ACs are one of the only way to fend off mega blobs. Defense would be near impossible if outnumbered on some servers.

If nerfing ACs then other defensive items will need to be greatly buffed to fend off said mega blobs.

Oh and ACs are fine. L2DODGE.

Paulie i guess people want to counter AC’s by PvD and proxy catas.

A Fix for Arrow Carts

Support means provide a very little dmg just to assist you on going outside and destroy rams/catas, in other words you shouldnt be able to destory rams/catas in time by only using ACs, in this way ACs would be support, but atm they are the main dmg and its not funny to play against, especially against servers that abuse it.

Not to mention that all other siege offer some sort of counterplay or have inherent flaws. Catas can bubble against catas, trebs and ballistas, but not acs. Trebs cant protect themselves, but they do have supply drain. Ballistas have a straight shot so need los, it can also be blocked by players/skills.

Acs have insane damage against everything, insane fire rate, cheap as hell and can abuse los to literally bend arrows around obstacles. Since they arent projectiles, there is no defense. Zero counterplay, zero flaws.*

Didnt Anet fixed the LoS abuse a few months ago?
So it is using the player camera LOS instad of character position los? o.O daf**?

This is a hard question for me cause im being way to much biased on other games im playing…. after trying a few other mmo’s i think i cant touch WvW again, but they would need to overhoul to much what they have to be a glimpse of what other mmo’s have in this area.
-To much gimmick based game.
-easy to cap stuff, bring blob clear siege with mesmer portal plus necros and eles near wall and spam siege to drop wall extremelly fast, or hide in treb wars game.
-no value besides ppt.
-poor mechanics.
-poor design and tactical complexity, it has been getting worse and worse, Anet tryed to make it better with the new BL, but players want easy fights and places to hide if they were loosing, Anet improved BL with lots of choke points to be used but theres no need to use them with the “space range meta” wrecked class balance….GG
-no value being in reward for do WvW, spam 1,1,1,1, in pve is far more lucrative.
-no incentivation.
-WAY to much redundancy.

I think all of this needed to be changed to get me in wvw again.

Can you name some of these MMOs? I’m very interested as it seems Anet has by actions, not words gave up on WvW. I have tried many other MMOs but there are either painfully grindy, horrid visuals, dated tab target combat system, or just plain dull with hardy any depth.

The thing is that WvW iis way to simple, basic, non important for the game, poor in content and mechanics compared with those worse graphics and much older games.
Well i find gw2 a very dated target system all u need is select and AA….

I really like heavy guild centered mmo’s and if happens to have pvp sandbox the better.

the issue is each servers not holding more than 80 players on each BL, if they resolve this, we could have much less servers that would bahave liek factions and something like a continent each server their spawn.

I think this is the real issue, that does not allow WvW to get improved, do they cover that with gimmicks after gimmicks.

DH can’t kill good scrappers…Well I haven’t died to DH nor will. I’ve seen lots of DH die from their own TS cause of my reflect dome. Saddly DH have no depth only spamming TS and traps. I hate that cause Guardian is my main ;(

yeah that was the only way DH trappers can kill my guardian on a 3vs1, because most are really awfull players leeching trap damage and GS WW blend combo.

More problematic in my opinion is the inner smc 2 door shield gen + door treb + multiple 3rd floor sup acs defense. 4-5 people can defend INSANELY well against a massive group, 100% countering tons of golems, rams, catas and almost whatever else is used. They should add walls to inner smc now that shield gens and un-pvdable gates are a thing.

So is aoe and most range skills, people need to be clever not ending in AC spam, theres siege with longer range, would be better to tone down players damage and then see what is needed to work on siege.
Stack a good “number” of eoe peeps near wall and u can clear siege easilly, and even wipe players at siege.
Castle design are so bad that is not difficult to counter AC’s.

AC’s are too strong NOW. Also defenders can place AC’s where they can’t be hit by AoE and don’t even see over the walls to hit. That is ridiculous.

It used to be that it was a 50/50 chance that one could lose a gari (on ABL’s) before HoT but, they are EPIC battles. Now defenders have they upper hand with all the HoT crap added (chilling Fog, Emergency WP, etc.). This is one reason why PPT during low population times is big right now.

SO ac’s on wall now not be hitted from AOE ? good that has been fixed because with that was extremelly easy to get the wall cleared, if u dont have line of sightshould not be hitting there characters line of sight and not player camera/view line of view.

About the Superior AC damage… it needs to be strong, while other things in game are to strong to.

Most seige on walls can get hit by player AoEs even if there are some awkward spots where they can’t. Sup ACs are overtuned for how common they are. Throw in other seige weapons and some of these psychotic guild upgrades (which is a common occurrence now) and defense becomes too easy.

Ah ok tks, not fixed then, i never used those lame guilds gimmick, i changed mmo at that time.
So instead of give a diferent effect/mechanic, they overtuned it? cause last time i used one with toxic voley on stacked group that was the only skill that was damaging the stacked group with several proxy catas, there was also other siege hitting them, but the number of water fields was really great, and they managed to get the wall down fast, and they melteld with aoe, the back siege on that wall spot.

I think WP got this a bit wrong this time, the game went on a very stale mode being whatever mode it is, and the special weapons are anything that can be released at any time after Anet changes what they think they have to change.
Overall it is a good trade off if something has to be delayed, and IF legendaryes are the only thing that is end game.. well alot of things needs to be fixed if that is what only GW2 offers at the long run…

Legendaries arent discontinued, they were just delayed.

It was really a clever decision, but still the question imo would be : " in what are they working and how that will improve the game?".

Since gw2 to compete with other mmo’s that are showing up, would be the same as release an entire game with alot of new mechanics…

I came across a Trapper Rune DH the other day and ok so he avoids some burst by stealthing at the right time but he couldn’t kill anyone the whole match. He dropped traps and ran. Someone triggers traps and he gets revealed. There are way better runes to take if you are playing a DH

I have been in similiar situation, with a scrapper that could not kill me, then he called a DH, and then Another DH well.. after that was a bit to much, lack of dodge bars and being on heavy CD situation.

The only thing the DH were doing were ji trap stealth, wait for CDand repeat.

I think people get confuse the problem is not condis alone, but the overall output damage in most situations, to much damage ouput plus classes a bit imba.
I miss how condis used to work on GW1 pvp, players needed to know how to condi spike well.

DPS meter = fastest way to get most of the players to leave …. map chat is already bad enough with telling people how to play

I don’t think the game needs a DPS meter, outside of personal DPS for testing builds, but if the game ever intends to include events that can fail due to a lack of damage, then yeah…that is the reality of the situation and people will hound other people into pulling their weight.

I think that is the worst design a mmo should adopt(well im talking about game DPS only driven), for that means stats are mandatory to play in one way out of several possible, imo that is a huge development fail, means lack of capacity for more.

humm blob events or instanced maps will continnue on LS3 for sure, but i would bet in mostly instanced zones, since blob driven content on server shards didnt proove to work that well.

Imo this game would not loose that many player if stayed sever based, with more player/heavy guild driven mechanics, i think Living stuff would fit pretty nice in that gamemodel, gw2 is even way to much themeparked for what Anet makes…

lol. never happen. If ACs were removed there are entire servers that would drop tiers so fast they wouldn’t even hear the thud until they were 3+ tiers lower than they are now..

…normal AC’s arent a threat and sup AC’s.. just nuke them with AoE, not even the sup AC user will survive, just stac a group of eles and necros.

get 2 redundant shields next to wall, and build several proxy catas.

I’ve seen so much ruined by “balancing” and “rebalancing” in so many games and have to worry about more damage being done than good because of player grievances on what they perceive to be “balance” issues.

True, but here is another new world, there isnt even a middle ground with just some op skills, combats are way to fast, to much output damage imo that makes games more easy and less thinking, imo that for me directly means lack of strategie besides play only with better damage than adversary being in solo or team comp, player skill is almost secondary, reason pvp is just for marketing….has they say.

They should make it more equilibrated skills between meta and non meta, with more few strong skills but even those are easy to use, so we could see more tactics and more playing styles.

Grimreaper.5370, dont forget that some classes on HoT were designed to be depending on damage output mostly, if you took that no one will ever use them, and classes like DH will stop working even against not so good or distracted players, being balance very subjective, will never be taken seriously.

-“Wannabe moba” in the mmo world.
-Way to much themeparked.
-WvW overhall design and its simplicity, way to vague game mode with lots of redundancy.
-Way to much gimmicks.
-How map systems works with shards and megaserver.
-To many servers even if they lead to megaserver….
-Bad grind design, faster than traditional but much confuse and very very boring.
-Classes design and balance was awfull, example DH traps only work because it is a pwoer creep based game, if gets balance that roles gets useless, so DH was to cover that in the guardian class and avoid a true rework in the past.
-Bad events as in golem damage…
-GW2 in tactical gameplay is very weak now.

Guilds should have more control for siege in their sector, a few examples:
-Replace siege positioning.
-Define flags to request from nearby players to friendly drop X siege in flag spot, and only that siege can be doplyed in that zone, that would avoid trolled to drop tons of rams in walls so no more siege can be builted for defense.
-Sacrifice siege for supply.
-Lock and unlock some siege for guild use, as golems if parked inside.
-remove timmers for siege would be nice…

Really? Lets limit player participation even further…
The guild changes made in hot to wvw have been a disaster. Remove barriers for players to participate, dont add them.

How the above ideas would limit players actions?
Player could still build siege and use it…. so??

shelter is so bad in this meta and can be interrupted by so many sources leaving you with no heal and full cooldown that anyone with even 10 hrs of guardian experience has swapped over to purification.

Shelter not working is pretty much balanced, can u imagine if other classes needed work to kill guardians?

2. Open world is way way to easy! Its never a challenge to go form one place to another because anything we encounter we kill easily. Gw1 it was a challenge to travel from one place to another, and man was it fun a rewarding!

Yeah .. thats why everybody love HoT sooooo much .. and i guess in the nex expansion
there will be only raid mobs running around in the open world to make the game
even more fun for everyone.

It is OP still. Very OP actually.

Balanced by gw2 standards, so it means could be a bit, just a little bit more stronger like:

Payers should keep invisible for the next 5 minutes, even if they use skills, that actually would fit the game, use gimmick to win, be clever by being a cheap player etc, would fit the theme, lots of skill yeah.

Pft Anet employees only run with streamers and T1 blob guilds. This is well known and why we are in the situation we are in. They simply don’t even understand their own game.

Not all or not all the time, Wub plays(ed) WVW mixed roamming and group on nsp side wiht her mesmer.

Cata splash damage on uncommon places was never fixed (Anet love to make easy stuf), it was intended, with a good force and siege spam, would stress any group inside, in this game stuff is ment to rotate just for the sake of ppt.

It is not a problem, it is a feature, a cheap one but still…..

cata splash damage should hit friendly siege…
To avoid proxy cata…. Probably the same for the treb.
More friendly fire (at least for siege against siege) could be interesting.

That is impossible, i would go to your server EB keep build siege and destroy your server siege

Btw, if people wants stealth theres alot of skills to be used already….people need to learn to use skill cleverlly not just add a stealth fountain..

Anet be clever improve gameplay trough combat and less trough gimmicks avaliable…
having a few gimmicks it is nice once in a while but…theres a limit.

Humm i hardly see those classes getting a bit more balanced, game is very gimmick based and DH is the proof of that, if they balance them they take out the main “objective” that this game has.

DH fits in this damage optimization role, besides any other role than that any guardian build is extremelly easy to defeat (IMO), and if other classes (lets ignore player skill and reflexes for a momment) starting to find guardian a competitor, like some find DH trapper hard to 1vs1 , they will ask for even more nerfs.

If any changes occur, traps wont be effective has other classes are and other classes are overall much better, traps to be effective guardian needs to be squishy againt other damage optimized build, if a guardian fails to trap target he is in a very bad situation.

Remove it entirely, along with the other garbage

Wtf is it even doing in a PvP mode.

I see it has a a gimmick introduced to avoid larger ammounts of skills being used:
Avoids the other server having reaction time to spam skills, and that causes less calcs from server side.
It is suposesed to work like a memory flush button lol.

What is the CD on CW?? 5 minutes?

Less people clicking, less lag, faster win, every 5 minutes.

This is a hard question for me cause im being way to much biased on other games im playing…. after trying a few other mmo’s i think i cant touch WvW again, but they would need to overhoul to much what they have to be a glimpse of what other mmo’s have in this area.
-To much gimmick based game.
-easy to cap stuff, bring blob clear siege with mesmer portal plus necros and eles near wall and spam siege to drop wall extremelly fast, or hide in treb wars game.
-no value besides ppt.
-poor mechanics.
-poor design and tactical complexity, it has been getting worse and worse, Anet tryed to make it better with the new BL, but players want easy fights and places to hide if they were loosing, Anet improved BL with lots of choke points to be used but theres no need to use them with the “space range meta” wrecked class balance….GG
-no value being in reward for do WvW, spam 1,1,1,1, in pve is far more lucrative.
-no incentivation.
-WAY to much redundancy.

I think all of this needed to be changed to get me in wvw again.

Why nerf condi? Getting wrecked by condi reapers while not having condi removal? xD

The condition system game wide has been poorly implemented. The problem is that condition and control effects can be used over and over and over.

As someone with many years of pvp experience, and who prefers pvp over pve, the condition system is very poor. As is the stealth system too.

This game was obviously built with pve in mind and stacking at bosses, not pvp. The devs are not making any changes to separate balancing because it will take effort and that’s something that’s not cared about at the moment.

Gw2 was a game to be easy for every one, while player uses what Anet makes strong(more efective) to cut the gap between new and older players, to give a chance for new players to beat/pressure a more experienced fighter to an extent offc, but even that went a bit out of hand, they did alot of awfull decicsions that ended conflicting with the game itself, game did not envolved well, they ignore the real issues, and hide them with very strange solutions.

GW1 > gw2(mmo inovation in what not to do in a mmo)

Lol, what can I say I want to have a four server rotation.

I would bet servers cant handle that, if server limit is arround 80, and most servers cantfit one BL….. 4×60 man group fights, 4way? would make more lag, since
would be a new side would be more calculations to be done in the server side.

And just look already how the game is heavy gimick based, they would had more lame and easy win mechanics, more gimmics(i like to call them placebo solutions to cover the real issue) for party clean each other before starting laggin the server.

A new game with Megaserverwith no shard/distric system :O :

-Continent with several maps, each map is unique.

-Capping spaces would be, supply camps for resources controlling, city(capital) divided in wall and interior map, more castles and less towers.

- Castles would be an extension of the GH with treasure room where every friday the guild who owns it will receive a good chest, longer time better loot, if guild manages to hold castle for several days and survives on Friday, a very very good chest will be rewarded.

-Add a system where guilds could declare war to others to take their stuff or form an alliance if choosen ally, being the game more based on guild/alliance fight than blob everything.

-better castle design more medieval design and less confuse, interior towers for rangers(players) when full updagraded.

-More tactical game, more thinking.

-More rewarding, guild that own camps would define supply paths, what resources to explore(depending what is avaliable on map or place) etc.

-more mechanics (non gimmick)

-ÑO treb wars.
