i already considered pets that did 2-5k dmg on their “burst” abilities , knockdowns other cc’s with animations as pretty good pets.

but now we have pets who do 7-10k+ dmg every 10-15seconds, unblockable knocks, evades, permanent quickness, permanent 25 might. All this with druid having incredible control, best self sustain and decent damage for a “support”.

This guy is a sapphier or ruby dude who knows nothing about how the real world goes lol..

So 2.5 seconds quickness every 16 seconds, an elite that requires Bristleback f2 on a 48 cd that gives you some might for 15 secs, providing all attacks lands = perma quickness and perma 25 mights lol…

Best sustain lol.. (Mesmer, Tempest, Revenant outsustain Druid with superior mechanic such as evade, infinite stability, )
Your so-called best sustain got ripped through by Revenant in 2 seconds. (Banish Enchantment spam 18 stacks confusion + 6 cover condition in 2 seconds), which in a +1 situation you could die instantly if the opponent has half a brain.
All Druid’s cleanse has a delay of 2~2.5 seconds (Glyphs, seed of life).

Druid’s “only” stun-break has a cd of 20, meaning if you got dragged into cc chain, most of the time you’re dead in a team fight. (While Revenant has stun-break with no cd, Mesmer has lots of teleport, invulnerable and evade)
Sometimes Druid’s stunbreak is counter-productive against Revenant because it’d trigger another CC from their trait that leads to another 3 secs taunt, which by then you’re usually dead.

Learn the real world, start doing some real fight, and you’d see that Druid is one of the most balanced class currently in the current Meta. (No cheese mechanic, no 40 secs protection, no infinite cleanse, no infinite stability, no infinite stun-break, no evade evade evade block block block for the whole matches, moderate damage, vulnerable in outnumber fight, vulnerable to cc and so on)

i guess this applies for sapphire / ruby level druids only?

Only a sapphire / ruby dude would cry Druid OP because not many people even play that in legendary. (Because those pros all know Druid is not really strong at all, and cant fight outnumber fight and carry the team like Rev and Chrono do)
If you really fight some legendary division level fight, you’d know how vulnerable druid is in a team fight, and every decent Revenants know that, and would target you in the team fight and quickly kill you.

I do realize many people stuck in mere Ruby yet they always talk the loudest and always believe they’re good despite they’re still stuck in Ruby. (I pass through Ruby in 2 days while duo/ trio because it’s such a joke tier)

I made some really good/ skillful pvp friends when I hit Ruby because we perform well together, so they notice me and we then occasionally do matches together duo or trio (still I play 60% solo que though), making advancing much more achievable.

One more thing, try climbing Legend onward and see if it’s as easy as you think.
Even 4~5 man premade often don’t help that much at all. (I ended up doing Duo most of the time) In fact, most of the 4~5man premades are terrible in legend, much worse than solo/duo opponents I faced before.

99% solo or duoq. I stand by my point.

Divisons arent connected to MMR. I see the worst players in the game in legendary.

did u guys ever tough that ladder rank, etc, isnt nothing more than a farmable title as any other title game has, to maintain players in game?

Did you ever thought people who can’t even get this farmable title has no right to judge balance since they barely play the game to begin with?

Their point of view and credibility worth even less than people who go all the way out to participate this season.

I actually can, im just not wasting my time to much on gw2 pvp, it is not what i am looking for pvp perpective/experience at the momment, nor i do farm titles being whatever game mode is. Reason my poi stands, it could be a thing and really cool at being epsorts, but spvp have a few issues (i call them issues) that i dont like, the way Anet manages classes on pvp side, it is what makes the game look a bit of a grind title for me, as i agree all classes should be part of meta, not a rotation system of boost now X and make Y class weaker, if they shorten the gap between meta and non meta builds game would be more pleasent in player skill than the players that plays better the gimmick(because they dont have much to choose from).

side note:
And it was just a question, im still hopping Anet adds something more like we had the 8man gvg, nothing more.
(edit: when im refering to ladder is supose to be the Division system, as it feel the same as a /rank title path just with another name and no emote).

My option would be take north camp to somewhere else, push keep to north (change keep design to something more pleasent), and make a big castle at the center with several floors, like a babel tower, and with no strong easy gimmicks to win offcourse….

A change keeps design in new BL to somethign more real structure design, and remove weird gimmick would be apreciated Anet, Tks.

Well simbols on guardian need to be tweaked no only staff, staff 1 is just a tag spam thing to collect bags from people that goes down, nothing more, orb is slow, orb path glitches alot, and CD a bit high if gets detonated to weak effect for its slowliness, empower is ok’ ish, healing is nice and might is real good.
Line of warding, very long CD for what it does, give stability for allies that crosses it?

@Rocknull.2986, it is a bit of both sides, form player sides if they cant hide back in a tower after bad tactic or had to put some effort in cap something, if map cant be crossed in 2-3 minutes blobbing like a karma train, or even if class isnt overpowered they will QQ because they need to put effort, from the other side Anet has been failling to iterate their own game(wich created the gw2 player mindset of wanting everything free w/o much effort), with bad design events and items/skills, so it is not only us players who is at fault.
WvW issue is the concept itself, reason that hardly gets fixed, they might rather add “dumb stuff” to hide the real problem than sit at the table and change the real issue.

When i play gw2 it barelly as the feels of a mmo, it is just not there, it has the same feeling of playing a tablet android game that i can just exit anytime.
Artwork team and lore kinda saved the game, the rest is a empty shell, and adding cheap and dumb gimmicks is a bad cover…..

Two things that needs to end is player stats increase if u own more castles towers, and outmaned buff is freaking useless.

@Keviin Snow.5760 yes DH traps are strong, but so other classes have strongs builds.

Also trap is a dumb and easy gameplay(trap performance + players dont think nor dont want to), i find traps way to easy to kill players that i barelly dont need to move much.
When i tried i wasnt full zerker, i even dropped traps in SM, and went afk, while looking for the screen a bit more than a minute later akf in keep noticed retaliation damage and 2 bags, i won afk because of skill right?

Also if other classes have this easy and cheesy builds they need to be fixed.

Well they did admit that they felt the guardian was falling behind when it came to removing conditions.

Lets hope that smite condition is not the only thing they buff because unless a ton of other stuff does as well necro’s will just eat guardians alive.

ur having L2p issues u need to play zerker GS+JI+Trap spam, even reapers melt in a second hehehe

ON a serious note and w/o joking arround:

I guess they still lack of understanding that guard is in more worse state than the problem at removing condis has they said, IMO that shows they are ok with guardian not working when using anything besides Bow+GS+Meditations+Trap spam build, the issue is that with so much CC a player cant even press skills to remove condis…

-Consecrations need to be updated, like HG and Sanctuary.

-Signets are not so good, trait line is weak.

-Signet of Courage, is a burden, 4seconds is impossible to cast since is longer that a combat lasts, to much CC.

-Spirit Weapons… are non existent.

-Mace AA and symbol have weak effects/performance, guardian symbold need to be traited by default on size and healing allies.

-Mace trait is bad, since Healing power is awfull waste due how it works on guardian and to scale healing power needs to burn a block with helps nothign the class, it is not a trade off for the active gameplay mace needs.

-Healing power and vitality is no longer balanced to compete with most classes, being the class with most toughness is useless due stat is almost useless in this game, in this damage output to win gameplay, reason why traps are effective….

-Stability, shelter, domes, RF dont work in WvW, due massive CC and condi spam and the free AoE spammable skills.

-Guard Staff skills…

The map design doesn’t support it. Maps would need to be completely re-designed or there would need to be really finnicky no-fly-zones. As it is, we already have druids using the staff to fly into keeps off of cliffs, skipping the entire siege process.

I’d rather they fix core issues with WvW first, and potentially revert the BL’s to alpine, fix the game balance, and then maybe work on random QoL gliding changes for WvW.

Much like the revenant complaints, It’s not about P2W, it’s just the fact the concept of gliding in WvW would completely trivialize a majority of the content. Revs are just blatantly overpowered in blob fights and people are upset; the same goes regarding banners, too; the format is being trivialized, HoT content or not.

Glidding in WvW could be a thing with prepared maps for those who like it, altough verticality needs to be added (the irony), if WvW was a continent it was easy to add and remove maps to test this.

TBH I hoped their fix was to remove it.

Better be disabled than there….. while they dont have anything to put in its place….

Or they might want to fix one thing at the time, leaving map structures/design and awfull keep management to the last.

Laser event was already super fast at release with just arround 10 players now is what ???

Anet need fix a bit the castle design they are way to confuse to navigate try to make something more similiar to real structures, make a game with less gimmicks, less shrines or remove them while dont have anything decent for them, Fix castles and towers waypoints to be used, less mobs.

Also they need to remove north camp on Desert BL push keep to that place and make a big central castle on center, each bl should their main castle.

And if they could change WvW format would be the best… if they need to push to megaserver they need to make WvW a continent like with several maps controlled for guilds.

Yeah new map is to hard for most gw2 wvw’s…….. they like to hide back in a tower if capture keep is a fail, or play a smaller map where a full stacked blob can cross irt faster…

I hope the new alpine map is as big as this one (HoT florest based, with no verticality lol), but with much better keep design and decent mechanics.

Gimmick wars 2, what else?

Game is about that as much i hate it…. themepark game hardly envolve much besides insert very very strong gimmick as content to hide some aspects of the game, they are limited by default to that, wvw was bad structured/designed to acomodate future good releases, as the WvW flaw is its own design.

But at least they could had iterated that stuff better, on the golem week as much players hated they were using it, if people uses and hates the same mechanic, that mechanics works after all, it is being used….. same happens with tactivator, ship, next is the charr panzer, this thing hardly fit on a themepark setting unless broken op or balanced and since is not OP will not be used.

Stop using it until Anet removes it, otherwise it will be improved to something even more gimmicker, that is how ANet works.

GW2 is a heavy dumb gimmicker game.

I haven’t touched the Shelter Heal since prepatch… unless i’m dueling 1v1 of course.

So far the changes don’t phase me a bit.. I have little expectations in terms of our lame core traits and skills getting touched. My only concerned is where we’ll stand vs the other classes after the patch.

Right now, this isn’t an indication of anything.. other than condi defenses, probably because of the condi amy and soon-to-be condi Berserker War.

Balanced as easy kill if not playing how anet wants medi trapper or gtfo, somethign like that, as always been since we are balanced at Anet eyes.
Do players really think Anet will fix the stability and CC easy spam, beign venom share boosted to unblockable the real threat it is not the thief but all the AoE and range stunlock from other classes.

lol trapped lord room like 3-4 minutes spamming traps, was the first time using them, thenwent afk a few seconds (1minute) on keep and noticed i was taking some damage (retaliation), when i asked on map chat the 2 guys were dead, i dont even know for how long a trap lasts!

Hunter’s Determination is a bit “dumb” but outside spvp on WvW not even that can save u with the pirate CC range, so that would have to server for another Aegis mod., altough i think that is what saves DH from being complete faceroled against certain classes and at least have a chance.

Overall looks a really good improvement for a thief elite plus a better AA maybe thiefs will be a threat, but @Anet, can u guys revise Venomous Aura trait under Shadow Arts?
It migh become to much, if the unblockable effect gets shared also, or at least give some info how it works with that trait.

At the moment a zerk thief can flat kill me with the steal-> bp -> hs backstab combination if I fail to block it. Add to that doing it from stealth and an unblockable bassy venom that can be shared with teammates… that adds up to god mode insta kill for the thief.

ANET has removed the vast majority of my defense against that. Cheesy thieves inc.

Just you watch and see.

Helseth on upcoming Mesmer nerfs

Anet dont balance games, they switch one meta for another, and when that meta becomes played by almost everyone they change again, this time by Helseth words looks like it is chrono/mesmer staying behind, putting thief back in action, reason they want to do more periodical changes in the future, so players can swap from X to Y then to Z more.
The faster players realize what Anet makes “super efective”, better performance they’ll have.

But if game could had its skills normalized has QoL, make more roles and classes avaliable on higher play, that would not hurt either and might put esport on better place.

Yeah nerf bow too, like it is so amazing. Then remove guardian from game because anything guards can do, any other class can do better, lol.

Hammer rev skill2 got nerfed , still better, and 4 of 5 skills are 5 target aoe.

Aeolus I think it would be better if DH kept the removal on block, but another trait tree got “aegis applied by you removes a condition when broken”. As long as aegis is our thing now, might as well try to go all-in, even with all these unblockables floating around.

Unblockables… that is a very awfull gimmick that Anet added to the pirate cancer, Syg inside a consecration HG and still being , dazed and kd and interrupted that i cant even move… shelter dont even work, renewed focus goes on the same way, avoid range single but gets all the necro condis eheheh.

Simple Spirit Weapon Proposal ?

Dear fellow guardians, would it be too strong if spirit weapons were summoned as long as the skill is equipped?

The active would still put the active skill on cooldown but it wouldn’t affect the spirit weapons passive abilities.

Is this the kind of buff that would make spirit weapons more usable?

That would solve at least one of the several issuel SW have, cast time, and CD, but would be interesting for a first change, within time see what would be needed, besides A.I and how they get instagibbed with the free range damage lol..

(edit)Altough their effect need to be stronger for the carrier or at least bringing something that does not make it feel like the slot is being sacrificed.

|Spirit Weapons Revamp Idea|

With so much single and aoe ranged skills, the shield dome sometimes is really effective, i would not like to loose that, still using shield spirit, it’s CD and durability make a huge sacrifice for its carrier.
WvW atm is cast wall of reflection, and fps start dropping due the amount of people taking reflected damage and getting downed, so the dome migh be usefull to. :\.

But, IF we could cast those SW like we casted holy veil (gw1 reference)on the allies would be fun lol… at least it would kinda make sense for the bow, problem would be the aoe spam that would damage SW easilly, dead before any effect is triggered.

Gyros arent that special either, pull the stealth gyro from a scrapper with spear of justice, all u see is him looking for its gyro, so funny.

I wish they would just make the shout trait remove 3 condis instead of 1. That might help put the class back in meta.

Or aegis remove 2 or 3 condis when traited with the DH trait, :P, but Anet is trying to get only the Medi guardian back in meta, it will be a full melt meta now with 3 reapers and 1 thief X) hehehe …. people only play what is super effective, doubt we will see the number of elementalists. that we have now, not many know how to play ele w/o certain stats.
