Master of all Professions
sPvP Rank Dragon – 8 Champ Titles – Ruby Division
Heavy classes: Warrior and Guardian. I like being in front of the lines and dealing massive damage. Both are good support classes too. Guardian above all else though because they become an asset to everyone near you due to their buffs. Warrior is a good berzerker in most cases and has a lot of flexibility between range and melee which is nice.
I’ve been wondering why my helmet’s color is always brighter than my armor’s color given that they are the same color!
[Asura Fractal]
“It’s just a champion bunny.”
Not so sure about signets, but I can bring a support guardian for perma regen and boon duration increasing if you want that kind of warrior.
0/0/30/30/0 with 10 points in any other area, with healing signet+adrenal healing+cleric gear should make you pretty much invinciable for any solo content. For most dungeons, your survivability is one of the best, but your dps is gonna be low do to lack of prec/crit dmg and a slight lack of pow due to cleric gear being more focused on healing power. Use banner regen too.
Healing signet + adrenal healing + perma regen boon from banner = a lot of healing. You can definitely sustain a fight with this.
Either they troll or punish you. I would try make sure it won’t be latter. Your team may be bad and use bad tactics but you don’t always have to open your mouth. And even if you do, you should control what you say.
I have never been kicked out of dungeon. I have kicked one person right before end-boss because he was dragging team down and was ridiculously annoying. That’s my privilege for usually having couple of mates in team.
Agree with Wethospu (the legendary GL killer :P). But seriously, if it’s not your party, just follow along or leave yourself if you do not like them. Starting or continuing a disagreement is just bad manner especially when not everyone in the party agrees with you. Most of the time, if you are competent, and do your best, nothing like this happens. If someone or a group is just bad and it’s not your self-created group. Throw out some suggestions and if they take it or not, it’s up to them. If they do not take the advice and fail and fail til some armor pieces break, then there is a problem there—but it should always be met humbly no matter what. You can’t just tell people how to do things and expect them to do it. You have to earn their respect first—which in some cases is hard. But it can be done humbly and most competent will follow (at least one person should listen to sound advice). But yeah, a good idea is to bring some friends with you and this prevents the possibility of running into incompetent, unfriendly pugs. But I doubt most cases people experience this problem is because of that given that the worse pugs are the ones who kick out members for guildies, but you cannot do that here due to the gated mechanics of fractals. The issue at hand is a common case of bad manner and disagreement, which can push anyones buttons.

Taking this post as seriously as possible, it wouldn’t work because:
- Timezone differences – be kind of unfair for people outside of the US to not be able to do this.
- ANet go to work to, well, work.
Personally, there’s two fractal idea’s I’d love to see:
- A dark-room labrynth where players are split up, and need to find their way to the middle.
- A gigantic jumping puzzle where the only combat is at the top, and the boss has a number of abilities that can knock you off.
Oh I just meant NPCs with Anet t-shirts or something. Fighting against said boss called RNG (which owns a lot of people in this game already).
Oh my gosh, I’d love a fractal where your party has to split up in groups of 1-2-2 or 2-3 and doors close behind you to do certain tasks.
Hit me up sometime, I’m on 15, but will run lower level evens for dailies until you catch up.
You can transmute soulbound items into a white rarity item and move it to another character. Reason being soulbind items only apply to masterwork and above. However! You lose the legendary status, which may or may not be fixed.
Ideas for fractals/dungeons?
Can we please, just for the fun of it, have a gimmick fractal facing against Anet team and have a big boss called RNG? This is not to hate on Anet, but I just think it would be just be very hilarious.
(edited by ArcTheFallen.7682)
“Don’t worry I can melee this boss..”
Isn’t there a way to umbind items via transmutation to white rarity gear? It let’s you keep the skin at least.
Two solutions:
1) Allow the commander icon to have filters aka Only show to Party, Only show to Guild, Only show to everyone within /say range, Show to all, Show only in WvW, etc. This would solve the hassle to turn off and on the icon and also be better for people when you forget you have it on.
2) Prestige. You can keep it at 100g. But make it so the vendor/whoever you talk to won’t let you buy it until you are a Dungeon Master and Been there, Done That player. You could probably add killing all Dragons and doing all Temples as well to the title. At least in my view, if you could do all of that, you probably have had enough experience to do a decent job.
But imo I’m okay with commanders, if what they say makes sense, I listen, if not; I ignore it. I barely pay attention to the blue icon, even if there are like 5 on my mini-map—idk why it bothers people so much, but to each his own.
I’m running a semi-tanky 10/25/15/0/20 GS build on my warrior and I was wondering if I should swap out my Superior Sigil of Fire for a Superior Sigil of Strength.
My armor set is Knights with Runes of Rage, since I lack any traits in the tactics tree to buff my boon duration. With full Berserker’s Trinkets.
I’m sitting at 3k base power. Would Strength help increase my overall damage output? Or should I stick with Fire?
Depends on what weapon you use. Sigil of Strength doesn’t show up as effective unless you have access to good multi-hit moves that have better chances at crits.
Only if you’re a bunker. If you’re a roamer then glass cannon all the way. All I’m going to say is if you can’t go glass cannon as a roamer, you’re a waste of space.
@OP
So far you’re on the right track, just that you’re going to want a Warhorn if you ever want to make the most out of tactics.
Thanks! Yeah, I think I’m going to play around with this bunker build for right now and then maybe mess around with glass canon later. : ) Ooo I might try out warhorn as an offhand. I’m sorry, but I’m new to the term “roamer”—-is that pvp? I’m not much of a pvper in that case XD just pve for me
Hey folks,
Doing a search on this, it seems the earliest level reported for this bug is lvl12? Correct me if I’m wrong. But just wanted to drill down more on what causes this bug? I have done lvl 12 at least and have not encountered an infinite spawn. In fact, they despawn. Is this only an issue on higher levels?
What we do normally when adds spawn is kill 1 non-vet chanter and hit the seal.
Anyways, just trying to learn more about this issue so I know how to handle it in kittenture levels.
To be fair, I don’t think it’s good to tell anyone how to play a dungeon. if people want to skip, and you don’t, don’t party with them. Same vice versa. If you really hate people skipping, a simple LFG “no skipping please” would work.
People who like to skip are either
1) Bad pugs who can’t lead and have been carried and do not know how to coordinate/work with a team to finish a dungeon
or
2) Efficient pugs who know how to work with their members and speed through skippable content just to make monies/tokens or gain exp
People who do not skip are either
1) Totally new and don’t know how to
or
2) Even more efficient pugs who have confidence in their party and dps/tactics to kill bosses for even more loot (and know exactly which bosses to loot/are worth looting)
It seems to me a lot of people get the people who like to skip and assumes everyone knows how to skip and doesn’t know how to work with all professions and coordinate them per event in the dungeon. In which case, they are bad.
Generally most good pugs ask if anyone has done this before.
Generally most bad pugs never speak.
(edited by ArcTheFallen.7682)
Oh that makes sense now! Thanks! It’s just for some reason, a lot of weapons keep popping up that I’ve never come across in the gw2db but I guess it was added later or something. Like Infinite Blade (recently saw on the TP)—never for my life saw a sword like that and I’ve been constantly searching for a 1h sword too.
Dang, nice info
Great info guys! I decided to go with 0/0/30/30/10 and use cleric armor for healing power. So far it’s doing pretty well with healing signet+adren regen+regen. I’m going to test it out on a few dungeons to see if regen is viable but so far it works for fotm up to 10 and ac exp; I gain more health than I lose.
Also, I’ve done up to 14 doing this strat, and they’ve always despawned.
So that’s the strategy to not bug out the boss fight? Don’t kill the veteran? If that works, that’ll be great.
I’ve been having trouble with that fractal boss because something like 50 enemies spawn and the boss is attacking you all at once, but then the whole boss encounter gets screwed, the door doesn’t close, the enemies don’t despawn, and so forth. I’ll keep that in mind next time I encounter this fractal (probably tonight…).
I can run with you tonight Eve :P as long as you do 14 or below
I’ll answer the unrelated question. The armor variety starts at 80 with some variation before 80. You can get them via Order you choose, your race tiers located in your home cities, karma armor, dungeon armor, crafted armor, etc. www.gw2armor.com is a good source for armor sets.
Oh, best thing to do is this strat:
1) Beat on boss til he drops hammer, 4 chanters will spawn (the other adds a bit later)
2) Someone pick up hammer and you guys all target fire a chanter that is NOT a vet (very important that it’s not a vet) and that the guy with the hammer gets kill credit
3) The guy with the hammer should click on the seal run up close to the seal and hit it with skill 4. Missing the seal is a no no.
4) Aggro problem solved. They all disappear when the seal is hit.
Now the boss phase 2 is a bit ridic. But just stay spread out and range him so his flashing light move doesn’t agonize you.
All who quoted me have valid points, but I guess I’m more on the mindset what’s done is done and Anet whether one deem it as a PR thing or not has somewhat apologized and have acknowledged the impact it has had on a large number of players (maybe not the majority, but definitely a good bunch). I just do not know what else there is to talk about unless they are making even more changes like this to prevent you from achieving an “end point” in stat progression. But all I’ve heard from Anet is that to make up for it in the future. Until they can make sure you have access to these equipments across a broader range of thing such as doing WvW, other dungeons, etc. They will not release anymore content. Which imo is the best they can do after this change. Blaming them for it isn’t going to do any good, nor is complaining. I understand all the worry before they engaged the topic. But there was an AMA and interview about how they regard it as a badly timed (maybe designed) idea. But what’s done is done, Anet cannot get rid of ascended but they can make it easier to obtain which from what I read is what they are working on. I just don’t know what else there is to talk about. If there is a suggestion, put it in the suggestions forum. But I don’t see the point in speaking outloud about how you quit because of it or what you immensely dislike about it. They cannot remove it at this point, so it’s either accept that they’ll do their best to make it an easier transition for us in the future or I guess do what the OP (maybe) or others are doing and quit.
(edited by ArcTheFallen.7682)
Ah that makes sense, any more input would be much appreciated! Right now I am
0/0/30/30/10 for stances/healing with adrenaline/banner regen/signet cd reduc
Trying to go for a warrior build that can maximize healing during endure pain. Not sure if healing over time is better than lump sum healing with mending/the adrenaline-based heal skills.
I use gs/rifle
Healing utility is healing signet
Utilities are Shake It Off, Endure Pain, Banner of Tactics
Elite is Rage signet
You won’t lock yourself out because you can easily switch out a craft for a measily cost of silver. If you switched out your 400 cooking for armorsmith. You can level armorsmith to level 400 and then switch back to cooking if you wanted it and have it at lvl400 still. You can level all crafts with 1 char. But you can only conveniently hold 2.
Guardians can upkeep boons for allies better. The protection boon and aegis boon are amazing for allies. Warrior can perma regen with banner traits as well as perma stack 3 might and fury. It’s really a toss between whether you think regen/ability to revive downed players is better than aegis/protection.
Actually I feel like charging for an uppercut is more natural than a downward slice. I agree to change the text for arcing slice, but in regards to charge, a faster uppercut animation please. It’s just too slow to be worthwhile…also a way to cancel charge?
Is it viable? What builds are most effective with it? I kinda want to go stance heavy but not sure the endure pain proc under 25% and balanced stance proc when knockdown is actually a game changer..
Thanks!
What’s funny is all this time you spent talking about on forums, you could’ve gotten quite a few pieces of ascended gear by now or enough gold/badges/ whatever to invest in it in the future. If you think you need ascended gear now; does that mean you think others need ascended gear as well? Are you the kind of person to reject people without the top-of-the-line gear? Just like how I don’t care what people wear, I don’t think people should either unless they can really help themselves (staying in green, getting carried the way through, while hoarding gold—bad manner). But seriously, the need for ascended gear now is what is killing you guys; you do not need it now and it hasn’t been a game changer for anyone. And as they reported they are going to make it a lot more available in the future. I’m just going to wait 1-2 years from now and bump this thread up so people can be embarassed on how much ascended gears did not become a starting point for a endless progression theme for this game overall.
I say nay, mostly because the character boundness it has right now encourages you to master your character for fractals. Although I can trust others to be competent in fractals, playing a warrior and getting to 10 =/= playing an ele well. I like the reassurance.
The longest thief stealth is 9 seconds and mesmers is only 5 seconds, none of them will last long enough for all party members to get to their respective torches and, if I recall correctly, there is only one torch you can click without getting agro from the mobs guarding them.
Doing path 3 without voice comms is frustrating at the very least, especially as it takes 2 seconds to light the torch and you only get a 5 second window from the first click.
I know that. But supposedly, if you get to the gate without being seen. You don’t have to do the torch business. Last time, I got to within two steps of the gate with my whole party without being seen by any mobs but just in the last minute was seen. I don’t know by whom. That’s why I was asking about how not to trigger the need for torch sync.
Before entering, make sure everyone has this.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Ash_Legion_Spy_KitIt’s a measily 28karma and at most 5s to wp to Plains of Ashford and back. Buy a good bunch, spam it at the torches.
Edit: More info on how to do this without chat. Tell everyone to run to a torch and spam it. Since you have 10 seconds each consume; just type when to activate it and leave your inventory open to reapply every 8 seconds or so.
That’s really, really cool! Thanks for that!
Np >:D it’s the most useful consumable to-date. There are more, but they aren’t worth mentioning—more for gimmicks.

#gw2firstworldproblems. I think it’s good that there’s a point where it is almost impossible. There’s only so many ways you can challenge people for an infinite amount of levels; keep that mind. Plus you get nothing better at 30+.
I’ve never really looked into it. But here is a few questions I’ve had about information repositories on gw2 items.
1) Is gw2db handled by fans or Anet?
2) Are all the items on the db in-game?
3) Are there items in-game that aren’t on the gw2db?
4) Is there a better way to find weapons other than the gw2db?
Thanks!
I think the players who founded the recipe figured it out in beta. It was told that the recipe was changed a bit on release, so they probably just did a bunch of testing with what wasn’t changed.
Again, you are not reading the full thread. I care nothign about the cost, I’m upset that they get items others do not. The topic of the thread isn’t “Hey, can I get some money back?”, No. It’s asking about the ITEMS.
Now if I go out and buy an iPhone 5 with a GPS maps system that drives you into the ocean when trying to find a restaurant, and a month later they release an iPhone 5 that actually had a working maps system, but you had to either rebuy the phone or purchase a new expensive app to replace the crappy maps system they originally had, would you not get a bit peeved? Again, using your own analogy here.
First, that was a bad analogy, because the maps system is an a part of the software, so it can be easily updated (so you just need to wait for an update—not buy a new iPhone), but I get your point. Also, you do care about the cost. Because technically, the wizard hat is not gated. It’s actually at a price of $60 if you buy gw2 again with this promo; but it can also be said that it cannot be traded to your original account. But hey, who’s to say they won’t release it? At least wait until the next Gem Store update before making conclusions.
Um, no. You have 7 days. I’ve worked at a GameStop for over 10 years, originally when I was an EB Games employee and GameStop bought them out. I recently left the company, but still keep ties with my store. You can easily do this, as long as you are not outright returning the open merchandise or returning past the 7 day mark. You return it as brand new, then resell if and mark it off their receipt so it cannot be re returned. Also, since apparently you only wanted to use this as an attack on my comment, if you actually read the post he distinctly stated " yesterday/last week".
Don’t jump in in the middle of a post without fully reading it.
It’s actually 30 days from their site. http://www.gamestop.com/gs/help/Returns.aspx
Easier to google and lay out facts than argue who has more experience -_-. On a side note, if you don’t buy a game at release/pre-order, than you should wait for a sale before buying, because it’s bound to happen. If you bought a game later, not on a sale, then complain about it being on sale—-it’s your fault for not understanding how to use patience as a major advantage on prices.
Hey Robert or anyone, can you test out activating an exit prompt after you finish the frac on cliffside? I think it stops the “are you ready to move on prompt?” from starting up. We couldn’t continue due to this because someone hit it by accident…for whatever reason lol, but I doubt that this should be happening. Maybe add a button to continue to the next frac?

If your problem is profiting from crafting, that’s a whole new issue. Legendary shouldn’t be your salvation. The price anyone would put a legendary is ridiculous and only those who either no-life gold farm or ‘cheat’ and get gold from gems—-or even worse, buy gold from gold sellers will be able to get them. I have seen quite the number of legendaries out there, and I’m kind of skepticial that most of them got them legitly, especially this late into the game.

DR didn’t exists. (pro karma farmers should be well aware of the method to reset the DR and back, right? )
And i said all the time he used boosters all the time for every task.
Guess he was a bit more than 100k, didn’t ask. Oh, i said a weekend, not 2 days. 3 days, friday, saturday sunday. Try the math again. Guess was lucky days loads of people was doing DE farm, who knowsThere is no way he could’ve made 100%? when i said he did a perfect strike with 525k karma..?
Sure, i don’t care of him too. But don’t be surprised if “mortals” wonder why T6 mats have that so high price, whine around about how some weapons or other stuff are so unreachable, what is going on on the TP
![]()
Well ok, let’s add the droprate. Smart players bough loads when price was low, laying on them nowAs i said, precursors and legendaries must be updated as soulbound and every weapon on tp removed (clearly the owner who put them must be able to reclaim them going to talk with NPC). Ah right, guess some will whine about the money lost for the fee putting that price.. now guess who are they..
Dude, read your post again, and tell me you didn’t make it sound like he was almighty in his ways of the karma farm. Also it is unrealistic today, I don’t know why you would mention things that don’t exist nowadays given that they have been fixed. But I agree with the soulbound position. It’d save a lot of trouble on who deserves what because it’d be less of a pay2win scenario with the precursor/legendary at the disposal of gold coins.
I just hope they leave the ash legion spy kit alone!
This. If they touch this…I’m going to be so heartbroken.
My whole team froze in fotm last night for a good 5 seconds. it was sooo scary due to it being our last frac T.T Thought we were going to d/c.

Anyways, back on topic. I’m indifferent about their bounds, but they should definitely not be sellable. IMO, character-wise, it makes sense for one character to have it since they are the ones who ‘earned’ per say. But I can undeerstand why gameplay-wise, it’s pretty annoying. I wouldn’t mind either, but I feel like it’s okay the way it is now.

Maybe i’m wrong, but you wrote, accordingly to your math 221*2=442k karma. Of 525k. Yess, mystic clovers adds the amount a bit more because of the lucky strike. Which you know, sometimes doesn’t need 1mil, sometimes luck strike your back and you get everything soon. A hint, do the 1, not the 10 attempt
Oh just to add: did i mention on my post he did map completition with karma booster+karma banner all the time? Hearts gives karma. Boosted. Plus special events in the middle. When he was at the “let’s do the karma farm” he wasn’t for sure from 0, nor i when i tried his method.
Which you will agree, playing as explined (and detailed now) , well, it wasn’t that much hard taskp.s. 1500g was weeks ago, before the lost shores event farm. Now he’s way more rich hehe
Arcthefallen, do you want to see the video? It’s on youtube
p.s. ouch i forgot the lv65 rare ecto farm using TP at beginning before the patch, he got loads of ectos, and people was selling them for a few silvers haha
First, you never said he used karma boosters while traveling. And you CANNOT discount that from karma farming. In most people’s scenarios, people start off with less than 100k karma when they decide to farm because they don’t think that far—And no, it’s not their fault and this guy isn’t much smart in doing so, he just knew what he wanted faster. So maybe he did do it more efficiently. But my number stands correct, he cannot have done all of that in 2 days with 13 hours. There is no way he could’ve avoided DR and made perfect tags (because DEs are controlled by people who start them) and there’s no way he could’ve made 100% clovers using the 1 mystic clover method. That’s a loss of 2100 karma per miss which is equivalent to 3-4 DEs with all the karma boosters.
I do not know what you are trying to tell me; I’m telling you its impossible to do it in such a short time frame as 2 days given 13 hours straight. No one is that perfect and the game itself does not allow it.
As for the money, whatever, nothing in the market today is outside of my reach with longterm goals. Even if said person X is manipulating the market, it’s not scaring me away from it and I’ve witnessed, at least with the stuff I’ve been buying, a good drop in some prices.

Unrealistic? I tried his method, karma banner+karma booster, all DE tagged + grenth etc for 2 days. I had 70% of the karma needed for a legendary.
Yes, playing most of the day (12 -13 hours), not 24 hours straight at all, just a weekend of fun. Commitment, you know?
Just to add, my ex guildleader was one of the friend farming with him, as felony.
They truly farmed for a weekend and done. I, trying, can confirm. Worked.
Yes, i know very well how many badges a lv1/2 get opening the chest , as i said, is a matter of hours. Hey, speedbooster running to the chest, passing badges, and deleting is not that hard or long to do
And no, no enemies, the server was total pwness leading the entire wvw.
World complete? Ye he did during 1st week from prelaunch, playing smartly and fast,+craft + xp boosters + craft booster (fun, he found all boosters needed just opening 5 chests, keys dropped just to add, so fun huh) , he was soon 80 able to deal with all the map completition.
And dungeons, hehe. Smart guy with smart friends supporting him. They have their legendary too
Skillpoint? Xp booster + crafting booster (growing rapidly to 80 as explained) , skillpoint completing the map etc. As said, just a matter of a few days of work.
Then yes, the goldmine you mentioned. End of the story, he’s the “what i do today? Oh wait, i can ruin that gw2 lodestone price a bit and back to play halo 4 haha yeah. Lemme check the price of precursors, maybe i can grow em up of 100g more before logoff. Crap, noone sell legendaries, i should have crafted one and sell, doubling my pocket, poor stupid kids, they dream to be able to buy one”
![]()
I asked him if he was truly able to craft and sell a legendary on demand, the answer was “sure why not?”. I made this question to him 2 days ago, he added " Now we have vials +karma from dungeons etc, i don’t even need to do the DE farm anymore, easier life for mess the TP, deffo. I’m jsut waiting the marketing of legendaries on sale"Nothing wrong, he was smart, and you will agree, 99% just made the same/similar cheating way. Not a player’s fault or shameful players. The fail, is the design at all.
Making precursors and legendary resellable instead of soulbound from beginning.
Guess, loads complained about it from weeks and weeks. Clearly, who was growing his pocket was welll aware to post around “Everything is fine, don’t touch it”
Nice try lol. It’s impossible, trust me, I literally sat a weekend before Plinx farm died, and did the DE chain for about 12 hours with a small cereal break with karma boosters + 24 hour 15% karma boost + 5%karma banner boost. Doing events with and without DE almost nonstop and the most you can muster up is 15k in an hour, roughly. Maybe you can do 20k? But that’s a bit too much given that there are 9-10 events in Cursed Shore that is do-able in a chain. If you are even better at tagging, maybe 11-13.
Plinx has 5 parts + broodmother + pentinent camp + shelters camp + contestor veterans + contestor champ + skritt escort + tars + escort the tree spirit thing = 13
All boosters is 378 * 1.70 = 642.6 per event w/o DR which is 8358.3. Given my experiences, you can do all of these events twice, roughly within an hour if it’s set up well aka ppl start it in in order and not simultaneously because you’ll miss some events trying to get credit for it and running/waypointing to get to others if they are happening at the same time. That’s about 17kish karma.
If you farmed 12-13 hours * 2 days and had 70% of karma needed for legendary, that’s impossible. 13 * 17 = 221 * 2 = 442k karma. Cool bro, you made half of the karma for a legendary given that you had really good tagging + NO DR + not time for anything else except farming during those hours. You do realize legendaries require 525k + ??k karma due to mystic clovers right? On average, it’s 1mil karma total. Which you cannot make with 2 days at 13 hours commitment. Bump it up to 24hours/day for 2-3 days with no DR. Sure, I’ll believe you then. I farmed for karma myself, pretty hardcore, quit making stuff up on people who may or may not be trolling you with how much gold/power they have. And 1000g is not enough to control anything, especially precursors.
There’s a set for these, not all are discovered yet. But I’ve seen shield/pistol version of vision of the mists skin type.
