Any lore reason why his face changed between his regular one and the one we see in Meeting the Asura? It’s been bugging me how he looks completely different in that one LS chapter.
Maybe not outfits (I can’t really endorse making more of them), but individual racial armor pieces would be nice. We’ve been asking for Norn shaman headgear since forever.

So right after I had written this reply, I logged in and decided to gamble in the MF just a little. Bought 50 of the cheapest exotic greatswords and got both Dawn and Dusk from them. O_o
I agree that the event is scaling poorly, but I don’t think it’s the reason why Ordnance Corps questline constantly lags behind. Most of the time (on non-organized maps), it does not even get to the point where you collect airship parts. The problem is that part of the map in general. Unlike every other meta questline, there’s no WP near the starting point (the cave), and getting there is relatively tricky, especially for newbies. Even I sometimes zone out and take a wrong turn, and I’ve done the questline many times.
So yeah, the parts collection quest needs tweaking, but it’s not why Ordnance isn’t done much.
Any species that is currently alive and in good numbers is doing well evolution wise. The “survival of the fittest” is not a competition only a few can win using only one method: is an ethernal marathon were anyone still moving is a winner, no matter their strategy. A bug over the hat of a runner is as “fittest” as the runner himself.
They are, however, an endangered species that used to have no natural predators (and therefore not much in the way of natural defenses) until the krait, themselves displaced by Bubbles the Elder Dragon, snowballed into them and started hunting them. It’s actually a neat little invasive species / ecosystem model that I enjoyed (being a former biology teacher myself).
Yeah, I’m not investing in this set either, but I don’t see the point of complaining about it. BL skins are hit-and-miss most of the time, and even then it’s just personal opinion.
However, I do often look at, say, Dreamthistle skins and think, “Dang, the art department used to try much harder way back when”.
You could take Engineer, camp Flamethrower (traited with Juggernaut), and fill the remaining slots with turrets. You’ll have pulsing stability, so you won’t be thrown around so much as a result of poor reaction. You won’t be doing a lot of DPS, but as Flame Jet is a long AA, you’ll have time to figure out your next move while still doing modest damage.
Come on guys, the instance is very easy once you know what you’re doing. I’m saying that and I’m a terrible player.
It is possible to drain Justiciar’s entire breakbar in one go (and super-easy in two), just quickly get yourself on the outside of her circle of movement and follow her in order to keep the beam hitting her shield. If anything, the actual fight was more difficult, and I did get downed by her once when I wasn’t paying attention.
Okay, now that the title got your attention, I’m going to attempt yelling into the void by complaining about a completely non-critical issue.
When an Asura char moves forward with MH pistol drawn and then stops, the animation is borked. It looks like a couple of frames are missing and the char just snaps into regular standing position. It’s really annoying, especially considering that Asura animations are otherwise mostly brilliant.
More MP’s are fine, now we need a few more for Core Tyria!
This. I’m 8 MPs away from completing my last core Tyria mastery (Legendary Crafting, which I’m never going to put to any use), and I wish there were more points available just so I could be done with it and earn XP again.
But the guardian does not yell “RETREAT!” to himself. He shouts it to others, the ones he’s protecting. He’s the guardian, it’s in the name. Is it heroic to give warning and a boost to others so they may escape?
Personally, I have to problem with either “Retreat!” or “Save Yourselves!” (which is another shout people complain about). I do, however, have a problem with Warrior’s shout “For Great Justice!”. It’s the most lame skill name in the entire game. Please keep dumb memes out.
Thank you for all of the information. based on 5), I’m guessing Engineer might in fact not be the class for me. I am really not interested in a lot of moveset swapping like that, though, it feels like the whole game is designed around that as all of the classes seem to rely on that.
You can always camp Flamethrower, that’s what I do on my Engi. “Pro engis” will sneer at that, but who cares?
I run a Spite / SR / Reaper power build and if anything, things die too quickly in PvE even without Reaper’s Shroud, especially after you get them under 50%.
Spinal Shivers procs + Close to Death + every strike crits due to Decimate Defenses + Bitter Chill. I’m pretty sure it’s not very optimal, but hey, it works for me.
Yes, I was referring to the second one, hopping from branch to branch. They screwed it up when they were fixing some shortcut, and it definitely wasn’t possible to do that jump back then. So they must’ve fixed it quietly at some point.
You should also know (if you don’t know already) that part of the JP has been broken for quite a while now (tree branches were moved apart for some reason and it’s impossible to make the jump). It’s still doable, but you’ll have to jump down instead with the -falling damage trait equipped.
That was a great chance for me to get the diving achievement, but alas, I’m in the middle of a war with my ISP. It’s very nice of people to do these things, you gotta love the community.
Norn male body types include a rather chubby version. Good luck finding an outfit in which your hands don’t clip through the sides of your body though…

I do judge Firebringer by the color of its flame though. Its weird pinkish flame that doesn’t match with any freakin’ torch in the game.
Hello I have a brand new PC too with ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming motherboard but I cannot find this Gamefirst utility anywhere. Is there something I am doing wrong? Where should I look to find it and uninstall it? I am using Windows 10 64 bit.
Well, first off, if you’re not experiencing any huge ping spikes, I wouldn’t recommend doing anything at all. But if you do and you’re sure it’s not your ISP’s fault, you can find it by clicking on the Search Windows icon in the taskbar and entering “Gamefirst”. If it doesn’t show up, then you don’t have it.
If you have been experiencing ping spikes and lag recently and you have an ASUS PC, the Gamefirst III utility is the likely culprit. I ran into this problem on my brand new PC myself, and after a long search I stumbled upon people having the same issue with numerous online games, including HotS and Overwatch (I don’t play those, so I can’t rightly say).
The utility runs in the background by default, you have to disable it (or uninstall it, it’s not important). I did it, and the ping spikes disappeared instantly.
No-frills Charr thief. Or is it a very angry spider monkey? I specifically picked the skinniest preset and the most skin-(fur-?)tight coat I could find. Looks less bulky than most Charr, so I’m happy.
I couldn’t agree more, grinding in Dry Top is the most soul-destroying experience in GW2 by far for me. At least in the Silverwastes there’s a big map event and you feel like you’re contributing to something. Dry Top, on the other hand, is largely pointless.
