After all buffs FT received over the last 2 years, I feel like it doesn’t need buffs anymore, and that’s saying something considering that I camp it pretty much all the time in PvE. Yes, damage output is not ideal, but you can’t really compare it to neither melee weapons nor ranged weapons directly, considering its rather “hybrid” nature.
Making FT less clunky would have been nice though. Napalm ball getting stuck in the terrain, AA failing to hit enemies who are slightly above or below your primary target, that sort of thing.
A crack in the ice? Is Jormag mooning us? That dastardly dragon!
For PvE: Giant Slayer
I’m willing to accept that as the hardest PvE achievement, but I’ve been under the impression that something like Weapon Master: Shield, or Weapon Master: Focus would be more difficult.
Are there good ways to cheese those two, cause they’re taking me forever.
Ambient critters count for those achievements, so you can cheese it just by hanging around areas where lots of them spawn.
I’d be happy with just a radius increase, tbh.
You don’t know what QoL means.
Hey, male Norn also hold the GS the same way. Go to Hoelbrak and tell them how weak they look! I’ll watch from a safe distance.
Not skin, no.
/15electropinkcharrs
Look, it’s a berserker skill and it fits perfectly with the theme of a frenzied brawler who uses anything he can to beat the everliving kitten out of the enemy. If you don’t like it, you don’t have to use it. You don’t have to take the Berserker line at all, if you see your char as a battlefield tactician who never loses his cool.
Your request is simply unreasonable. It’s like saying, “my necromancer is not evil, so can you rework all the grimdark skills to be light and fluffy”.
oh and milling basins
Definitely. Chak eggs and reclaimed metal plates (they’re not a crafting component as such!) also deserve a mention.
BL tickets and scraps, writs and tomes of experience
I’ve completed it a few days ago, and I’ve seen others in chat saying it’s on. So it’s definitely not bugged completely. It just appears rarely and the chain has to be completed way beforehand.
If you want to get into replicas as well i would recommend gyros.
They would be about as effective as the “real deal”.
And if you put them in your pocket they certainly stick to you better than the originals.
For extra authenticity make them out of folded paper.
There’s an entire page of threads dedicated to the likes of you whining. Why can’t you leave completely unrelated and actually interesting threads alone?
Fireflies or GTFO
probably they have a bionic eye implant or a thermal-locking kittening bow.
Adequate tools to combat people who can simply disappear in plain sight.
Yeah, I was about to mention Hammer 5 as well. The trait still has uses, albeit more limited.
Score for my main:
Buffs: 2
Nerfs: 0
Why should I be unhappy again?
My engi is a sylvari, just to make everyone wary and uncomfortable. I mean, look at the lore: we have Scarlet, we have Aerin… sylvari engies = trouble.
I’m also partial to “Guess who’s back… it’s me, by the way.”
AKA the Asura male player voice. His lines don’t ever feel old to me, and I’ve heard them a million times. “Infuriating!” even still occasionally makes me smile, it’s delivered so perfectly. I don’t know how he does it. Bravo.
(Well, maybe I’ve heard “I feel six feet tall” a few too many times, it’s the only line that sort of annoys me sometimes. But it’s more due to the joke that got old so long ago than to the voice actor)
All those blue dyes that seem to give… extra texture to stuff or something. Shiver Sky is the prime example. I don’t really know what’s going on with them, but they really change the way stuff looks.
Although my main is using Charcoal and Black Cherry.
More importantly, can we have descriptive thread titles?
It’s actually Poobadoo. He’s been hiding in plain sight, walking around Kessex Hills (why do you think the area always gets the short end of the stick?) and licking people’s faces just to build up an appetite.
Yeah, new weapons will probably never happen, and I don’t really care about them, tbh. The one feasible addition could be giving some of the underwater weapons a use on land, since they already have a lot of skins for them. It’s been discussed on the forums to death as well, but it’s still unlikely.
On grandmaster trait choices, Shrapnel is literally a pray2rngesus trait that has very little to do with direct damage and is directed entirely at nades/bombs. It makes more sense for it to be moved to adept firearms and move Rifled Barrels to Explo.
That makes zero sense. I mean, what? Why move a trait that explicitly deals with explosives to the line that has nothing to do with them? I’m also not exactly sure about the second part, what with Rifled Barrels being a defunct trait that’s not in the game at all anymore.
Because everything about Dry Top has to be a major pain. Exploring, searching for randomly placed chests that only appear for a time, pitiful geode gains, amber RNG, needing an active map to get good deals from merchants, the crazy dream that is favor level 6… Everything.
So hey, I accidentally double-clicked the claim ticket in my inventory today… and it brought up the shop window with all the latest BL skin sets. I don’t know if that’s a new feature ANet sneaked into the game, or it’s been like that for ages, but boy do I feel stupid now having wasted time travelling to BL merchants in the past in order to buy skins and combine scraps…
The frog has Charm Resistance. You don’t charm the frog, the frog charms YOU!
Nah, the best patch note is still:
Bongo the One-Eyed now has the appropriate number of eyes
It’d take something monumental to eclipse that.
I love how location 9 is the Dry Top diving point…
Isn’t that 11?
AERIN by a mile. No, by a thousand miles.
Reason 1: I’m okay with jumping and I’m okay with fighting (duh). But my reaction times are not great, so it takes me a few seconds to “readjust” from jumping to fighting and vice versa. That boss battle barely gives me the time. I jump to his platform and he knocks me back down before I get a chance to go into “battle mode” and deal much damage.
Reason 2: The fight is at the end of a long and boring instance, and the fight itself takes a lot of time… which wouldn’t be much of a problem, but it’s also the only battle that crashed my game TWICE, and I absolutely dreaded doing it on an alt.
Windmane was actually a walkover on my second playthrough with a celestial engi. Remember that while you have to fight as Caithe, your stats and traits are still your own. So beef up your build with some defensive attributes, traits and whatnot. Caithe’s OP abilities will still pack a decent punch, but you also won’t die so much.

Indeed, I wouldn’t expect them to ever become tradable. Having a HoT legendary means you’ve actually earned it the hard(er) way, and not just with mommy’s magic credit card or by mindlessly grinding whatever gold mine is most profitable at the moment.
Of course, that’s more applicable to the four “journey” legendaries rather than the new mace and future items.
Another reason why they’re not tradeable is to bar people who don’t own HoT from acquiring them.
Wait so this does nothing and nobody knows what it’s for, yet it’s somehow selling for 600 gold. What…
Many people have more gold than they know what to do with.
We’re going crazy – collecting Unbound Magic, Bloodstone, dealing with Anomalies, etc. Look at what it did to the White Mantle in Bloodstone Fen.
Yeah, I found it a bit ironic and unsettling when Bloodstone Fen just opened and everyone was basically farming the same stuff that twisted all those people. I’m not sure how intentional on the part of ANet it was.
That’s some impressive necro skills, especially considering that we even got a 9th profession in the meantime…
None of my characters use mace. Oh well.
I think the OP means the gemstore items. They’re marked as “new” when they’re re-introduced after a hiatus. It is a bit weird sometimes, like with the molten gathering tools that have been away for only a month or so, I think.
Welp, that would have been a good ticket investment. Unfortunately I’ve blown almost all my tickets on Bloodstone weapons…
At the airship for convenience.
I find it strangely pleasant, almost addictive. No word of a lie, I sometimes stick around just to listen to that hum/beat for a bit longer before moving on. But then again, I like weird experimental music, so maybe it’s just me.
I take the Mesmer box. Your drop table then includes light armor and Greatswords.
This.
The alchemist is just north of the hylek village. I don’t think you need any mastery to find him.
I have previously noticed that Rifle 2 has longer range than 1. The AA showed “out of range”, but the net would immobilize just fine.
I’ll take even old non-repeatable hearts over adventures I’ll never ever bother to repeat.
I couldn’t possibly disagree more. 90% of hammer skins are ridiculously huge.
Started as a Norn guardian, reached lvl 10, got into the first story instance and got easily murdered by ettins.
Nevermind, fixed by re-entering the instance. The option to open the door wasn’t available the first time for whatever reason.
I can’t find Ogden in the Priory instance. Read somewhere that he’s supposed to be in Gixx’s office, but doors to Gixx’s office are closed for some reason. Help?
I agree that the exploit should be fixed, but what baffles me is… why did you even do it? It’s a bit like saying, “I went to buy some drugs, and my drug dealer was rude to me. Crack down on drug use!”
