i just did this fractal today for the first time on 32 and it was super ez. Didn’t even get close to downing.
I beat it today on level 50 in 5 minutes. Super “ez”.

I suggest we just rename the Living Story to the Scarlet Story. It’s like the personal story, that’s all about you….helping Traeherne be the real hero.
1. you should have at least 5 for level 10 (+10 is better). Don’t listen to anyone that says you don’t need agony.

I just want Anet to explain to us how the dredge tunnel up through a wire cage that’s suspended in the air to respawn the dredge in the button puzzle room.
I think they’ll fill in the holes in the skirt, and the shoes, and change the mantle, eyes, and shirt a bit more, but otherwise, it’ll look mostly the same, so as to not kitten off the people who bought it.
Actually, if I had to guess, I don’t think Scarlet did it, per se. I think the inquest did it on their own, and Scarlet just stole their research. But that might just be wishfull thinking.

It’s literally impossible not to catch this bug if you’ve run the fractal. So….what’s the explanation?
How do you not notice this in testing?
The correct answer is that they know how we treat their trash mobs (ignore them) so they use CC to make us deal with them.
Uh, you didn’t warn me. That’s exactly what I presumed it would be from the start. Anyone who thought otherwise just wasn’t paying attention.
Don’t listen to anyone that tells you that you don’t need AR for 10-19. You need at least 5. Everyone will say “Oh you can just dodge” Have fun dodging every AR attack in the fractal run, so you don’t screw over your party by losing too much health.
Why does this exist? We’ve been told that our AR will not go down (ie: if you have 25 ar, you’ll still have it after the patch). I have 25 ar. I could easily get another 20 ar with versatile infusions, and infusing my other ring. So that’s 45 ar. That’s enough to get me up to level 39 with 1% agony damage. I only need another 15 to get to 49 with 1%. But, and this is the point: people who do level 48 fractals is a vanishingly small amount of players. So why introduce a new mechanic that the vast majority of players don’t care about? Is it because we’re getting a new kind of AR for the bosses? Or has AR been redone, and now you’ll need more?
Here’s the question: if the AR we have now is adequate for the fractals most people run, why would we care about the new fractal infusion? If I only run fractal level 28 or lower, and I have 25 ar, I don’t need anymore ar. So, in theory, the new infusions are worthless to me, and the vast majority of people. Because of this, I can only assume AR scales differently now, and you’ll need more to survive than you do now.
To be fair, if all you do is read the patch preview, it’s not really very clear what’s going to happen. I had to read some forum posts before I got it.
Better, better yet: dump the laser room entirely.
Just make the time for spawning longer. Like, say, 30 minutes. Done and done.
And what do you do after you’ve used up your two dodges? This is one of the problems with the game. They give us mechanics, and then come up with ways to spam things that take more than the 2 or 3 times we can use the mechanic. See the end of the Aetherblade dungeon, or the tower. Or stunbreaks, where you break out of immobilize, only to be knocked down. What’s the point of a stun breaker if every mob has a stun mechanic, and you can only counter it once?
You don’t need a title, you have 5 legendaries. It’s like asking BMW to send you a plaque cause you bought 5 of their cars.
No, don’t bother with the links at all. Companies will NOT send out an email that has links it it, because of this. They don’t want to confuse their customers.
Never, EVER follow a link from an email. If you’re really worried, type guildwars2.com into your browser, go the support page, and submit a ticket stating that you got the email, and blah blah blah.
Also, for future reference: it’s never legit. Companies know all about this kind of thing, and thus never send out emails that are like this, simply to avoid confusing their customers. If they never send out emails like this, then all emails like this are bogus.

Yes, you can. Get a white armor of the same type and transmute it. This makes it account bound. Give it your char, and then transmute it again an armor with the stats you want.
Either they made a change or the system is broken. When entering a dungon instances owned by someone else on a different server you use up one of your guest passes.

Well with an attitude like that of course you will fail.
But on the other hand, what does constitute a fail?
Not getting top 1?In my eyes it is much more of a fail to just give up without a fight than placing last in a league (my server will most likely place last in EU silver, since we have yet to be even close to win a single match-up).
Even if you lose the league you can still “win” by not giving up and actually put up a fight.
The main issue is that people only see rewards instead of playing for the sake of fun.
Okay, tell me how my server can come in first and win the gold league. I’ll wait.
You also seem to think that your definition of “fun” is the only one that counts. You consider good fights to be the only possible definition of fun. I want to fight for a reason. Just fighting for the sake of it is boring. If you like that, that’s fine. Just don’t claim you’re the only one who knows what’s fun.

I feel like I’m contributing. I just feel like my server was set up to fail season 1 from the start. That’s not really a good motivator.

Yes, I do. And since I’m on SoS, they don’t matter. I’m fighting for 5th place. And since you’ve already told me that the rewards for coming in first in the bronze league are better than the rewards for coming in 6th in the gold league, what’s the point?
Okay, what’s going on with this zone? I go to fight Megadestroyer, or golem and I get crazy lag spikes where nothing happens, and then everything starts moving again, or I get disconnected. I know it’s not just me, cause everyone’s complaining about it. Has anyone looked into this?
I think most people just care about karma trains, and since those will have to exist (otherwise the edge of the mists doesn’t seem to have a point) most people won’t care.
What’s even better is that the edge of the mists will do away with the only reason people transfer now: the queue.
If you make the cost to move to tier 1 punitive, fewer guilds will pay that cost, and they might go to less populated servers, instead of stacking in the top 3.
5 pm server time.
Free transfers to any tier lower than the one you’re currently on, 800 gems to go to a server that’s in a higher teir than your current one, except for tier 1, which is 5000 gems.

It should be at 5 pm this week, and every week till march, when we go back on DST.
Yet, they don’t. It’s like I tell people: you gotta work with the zerg you got, not complain about what the zerg’s doing. If Anet gives people an incentive to do something (IE: jump on a ram to get an achievement) people will do that, and they won’t give a kitten about you asking them to get off it.
It hardly helps to restrict movement during the season when you offer reduced price transfers the week before the season starts. What’s the point after the season starts?
Because, when you tell someone to do something, they always do it.
I dunno if this has been mentioned, I’m not reading all 13 pages, but I think that, instead of a server merge, there’s a WvW merge. Take the 9 lowest ranked WvW servers, and combine them, like this 1, 4, 9; 2, 5, 8; 3, 6, 7. And then those 3 groups fight each other. The grouping never changes, except perhaps to adjust for population. This would boost WvW populations, without affecting PvE, and would give them a fighting chance against other, higher level servers.
But…..if you’re doing it for rewards, you’re doing it wrong. People said so upthread.
