1st year bday gift – 1 minipet that everyone will get eventually, scroll, and booster???? Come on… what ever happened to unique rewards… there is absolutely nothing exciting about these rewards…I mean who wants a minipet that everyone has? Who wants a scroll that gets you to lvl 20 – the easiest levels to attain..?? who wants some unspecified booster? Unless this booster magically increases the drop chance of a precursor.. I’m not impressed
Please ANET give us something special.. something that would bring us back every year
The only difference between this and GW1 is that in GW1 the mini was random. Plus back then we didn’t get a scroll or a booster at all. As a GW1 vet I’m actually glad for the little addition.
If you truly aren’t interested in transmuting it, then yes, destroying it or saving it for later are your only options. You could, if you wanted, transmute it to white items and make it account bound for use with another character, but those are your only alternatives.
If they would remove the WvWvW requirement for exploration I would find it much less intimidating. For me, personally, this is the biggest reason why I will never get map completion.
I remember how much I hated that quest, and I did actually pay for those ashes, lol. I actually log back in now and then when I get nostalgic.
Depending on if the guild has done the necessary upgrades, a guild’s maximum size can reach 500. You have my sympathy though dude. I hope your GL gets his account back and you guys get your guild back. Building a guild to that size is NOT easy.
I have seven characters right now:
Charr Guardian, 80
Norn Warrior, 80
Norn Ranger, 80
Sylvari Ranger, 36
Human Thief, 2
Charr Engineer, 2
Asura Elementalist, 2
And honestly I hope to get a few more character slots too.
Here’s to Gaile! May her quill stay sharp and her wits even sharper! And here’s to the rest of the team! May they continue making great content for many years to come!
Honestly I should get this thing just to kitten some of you guys off. For me it would be both a time and in-game money saver because I salvage anything masterwork and under with basic salvage kits, and this would save me the trouble of buying new kits over and over and over again. Assuming I get the gems in time, I will be getting one specifically for that reason.
I’ll admit I’ve never played a mesmer, so my opinion is going to be a bit biased. That being said, I would play it on a guardian, simply because on my guardian I’d die less. There’s nothing more pathetic looking or embarrassing for myself, personally, than to have a big flashy legendary and dieing with it all the time.
The hall of monuments never had items from 30 to 50, only titles. It was made that way on purpose so that people moving from GW1 to GW2 didn’t have to kill themselves for everything unless they wanted the titles. As for the phoenix… who knows what they’ll do in the future?
Actually, increased boon duration would be a great idea.
Obviously this is purely speculation, but here’s my theory. If any prior achievements are included in the new version of the event (take Halloween for example) then I would think that they would just take up where they left off. However, just repeating the same ol same ol would be kind of counter productive, so I’d assume that new achievements would be added. For example, the eat tons of candy corn will probably come back, but they might replace pumpkin carver.
If you’re still wondering if the protest caught developers attention, I can safely tell you that there was a developer at the tarnished coast protest. So yes, somebody saw.
Should you decide to go for a different one at some point, there’s a sword called “Blade of Humanity” I think, it looks like a roman gladius but it might suit your needs.
Here’s my Charr Guardian
Helm: Horns of the Dragon
Shoulders: Conqueror’s Mantle
Chest: Draconic
Hands: Fused Gauntlets
Pants: Heritage Legplates
Boots: Draconic
Back: Sclerite Karka Shell
Greatsword: Ebon Vanguard
I still fail to see how this is such a big issue. You feel cheated because you voted for your candidate, but lost out on one of many possible ways to make a couple gold? There’s other ways to make gold in this game, quite a few actually. People should be out doing one of those rather than in here crying “Woe is Me!”
I think you’re jumping the gun a bit here. Unless and Until ANet actually announces that they might pull this off, please refrain from the tin foil hat.
ANet has no control over the gem market, it’s completely player driven.
This isn’t possible, as the game hasn’t even reached its first year yet. I created five of my characters within 45 minutes of headstart launch, none of them have anything.
Thank you, oh Lord of the Labyrinth. You stated the case perfectly
They’ve said it before, but I’ll repeat it for your sake. There are 6 living story teams. None of them are working on bugs. There are, however, separate teams that are working on bugs. If you see a bug, report it, and it’ll get fixed.
You guys do know that there’s a forum for reporting bugs, right? And that they do, and have, fixed legendary visual effects before? If this is a new bug, then report it and call it good.
I’ve seen a couple employee posts in various parts of the forums going both ways. It was, ultimately, up to the players. Sorry, you simply got out-voted.
Anet never rewards players for the right reasons. Should have learnt by now
Or, perhaps it could be said that people are more than a bit hasty in disposing of what they consider junk.
I didn’t consider my support tokens junk. I used them for what they were intended. And apparently I shouldn’t have…
If you used them for their intended purpose, how did you loose? Even if you voted for Gnashblade, they got used exactly for their intended purpose. The ability to sell them afterwards was probably intended as a way to get them out of circulation. Even if you have stacks of buttons, there isn’t any reason not to hold on to them. Heck sometime down the road you could be walking with a portrait beside your head and leave all the noobs wondering how you pulled the trick off.
Personally, I’ve made both a Norn and a Sylvari ranger. Aside from some skills, both are pretty much the same play wise, I did indeed want to try different “looks” as far as cultural skins and other skins in general. It’s kind of a toss up since I did get both to look awesome, but I don’t regret doing it.

Once a server reads a “full” server population it does lock down, so you wouldn’t be able to transfer to it. The best you can do is keep an eye on it and once it changes to “high” try and move over.
What I mean by ‘lock’ is does it stay at full even if it’s not.
But this still does answer my question so thanks ^^
No, the population status will update once there’s been a significant enough change in density. Unfortunately, like I said, it’s a watching and waiting game to try and get in.
People don’t seem to realize that every aspect of drops in this game is based on RNG. You can’t get around it, you can’t get rid of it. Even the items on the trading post, at some point, dropped at random for somebody. Please, feel free to farm, feel free to post on TP, feel free to by from the TP, but please stop complaining about a key aspect of the game. And as far as the RNG boxes go, I have only one thing to say… If you haven’t realized by now that the odds are stacked against you for getting anything good out of them, then you should have. The only person to blame for actually buying them is yourself. That being said, if you don’t like RNG boxes, then don’t buy them, no matter what may be in them.

The thing is, Gems can also be used to expand personal inventory, right from the inventory screen. Same goes for the bank screen. If it were removed, it would make it a bit more difficult to keep track of how many gems you have when expanding your inventory slots. I’m pretty sure that’s why it was left that way.
One suggestion that’s been going around is to make your own guild and use that as a bank, since it can hold gold. However, if you decide to do so, that’s up to you.
Ya’ll sound like a bunch of old spinster women nagging about the new neighbor. There’s still plenty of other ways to make money, especially with the new champion drops. You got nobody to blame but yourselves for not voting and deleting your token stacks. There’s champs to be farmed! Go get em!
Wtf are you talking about. The issue isn’t that we can’t make money, it’s that the people who actually participated in the event by voting with their support tokens and have potentially a few stacks of now worthless representation tokens are punished compared to the people who simply sat on the support tokens and did jack kitten with them. Explain to me how that makes sense. I’d love to hear it.
I’m afraid you’ve misunderstood my position. I too have a stack or two of rep buttons now, and no tokens to cash in for any extra money. I’ll hold on to those buttons, for no reason in particular. My point is that I see nothing to complain over. I used my support tokens, voted, actually got the candidate I voted for. I care nothing for the leftovers. The buttons can sit on a mule character until if/when they become useful for some purpose or another. I simply believe that this issue isn’t an issue. There’s nothing to complain about except the possibility of monetary gain, to which there are always alternatives.
Been requested many times and Yes it would be nice to have just put it in their with a check box that allows you to auto decline all duel requests. Dueling in the open world as many agree would be awesome and probably get players to explore a little more to find some cool dueling spots.
The problem with this is even if you have some kind of setting to auto-decline any kind of duel invitation, it doesn’t stop people from whisper-spamming you to turn it on and duel them. I don’t have much issue with dueling, but if they’re going to implement it with PvE gear there should be separate, specific areas set aside for it so that those that want to can do it there and leave the rest of us in peace.

What is the issue with fractal relics?
Fractal relics now go into the account wallet. This being the case, I don’t see how they can be used in the Mystic Forge for whatever recipes there may be. One thing that requires one is the recipe to ascend the Triforge pendant.
What will happen with Mystic Forge recipes that required Fractal Relics?
Getting the full compliment of achievements in GW1 can be difficult and time consuming. However, in my personal opinion, it was well worth it. You get exclusive skins that you can use to personalize your armor and weapons, along with 4 unique minis and 4 ranger pets. Good luck.
When I got separate account for friends of mine I used their e-mail addresses so that the code was sent to them.
I don’t see how you guys have trouble with this, I have a superior rune on my Gavebeorne breather.
It only applies to one character. Honestly I feel it’s better to use the option from the inventory screen rather than use the one from the gem store.
ANet, I too would like to thank you for a most excellent game, and hope that you continue to work kitten it. Your efforts are greatly appreciated by myself and my circle of friends who get together regularly for GW2 LAN parties. Keep up the good work and don’t spare the mustard!
Honestly I don’t see why CoF P1 can’t still be farmed after the update. You’ll still get the item drops and tokens, right? Even if the actual gold drop changes?
The ravens around the Issormir skill point in Wayfarer Foothills spawn very quickly. It should only take you a few minutes to get what you need there.
There is an LFG tool in the works and will be released before the end of the year, hopefully sooner.
The reason this would be a bad idea is because then everyone would use it when forming groups, excluding those who they feel are using sub-par gear. It’s a bad idea on so many fronts it’s not funny.
Until the Bazaar finishes there are actually multiple ways to get your hands on quartz, and the TP market is saturated with them, which keeps the price low. However, once the bazaar ends the source of the quartz will dry up, except for those who have the node in their home instance. This will limit the source of quartz, thus driving the price up if the demand remains high.
Please, please just let this thread die. Ye old dead horse has been beaten enough.
There is a feedback forum where you can list this concern, and trust me you’re not the first. I wouldn’t worry too much about it though. They did mention that they would compensate people who had magic find gear somehow.
You can get rare dyes, the unidentified dies you get from the Laurels are the same as the ones you get from drops. The tonic might be up your alley, I don’t know your opinion of those. If you’re looking to gear up alts you could go with the gear boxes, or you could get infusions for the ascended gear you already have.
I just want to say a few short words about this whole argument… Blah blah blah, blah blah blah blah blah, yakkity schmakity, blah blah, yakkity kakity, schmakity, blah blah…
