Fought my first DH today since the patch. Right on queue he speared me, I interrupted the pull (steal ftw) which gave him the pulm impact and me +200 power than bursted him down with P/P…ahhh….life is good.

P/P has the same problem of power D/D in that the damage was there (and was even before this buff) but the utility and consistency issues hold it back in most matchups.

Just bumping numbers will only create further-binary fights which is far less fun.

At least D/D has evade, AoE, leap and stealth.

P/p has blind , interrupt , Immob and projectile finishers. The major advantage of d/d when stacked up against P/P is that when those other functions used (such as the evade on DB) and INI eaten up doing the same, the AA remains potent. Blinds Interrupts and Immobs on their own stack up very well against evades, Aoe and stealth and especially when factoring in more reveals happening.

And now P/P has a slight improved init regeneration with unload

Precisely, yet this helps illustrate one of the problems most people have with P/P. Unload is unload and in a fight the p/p user will tend to overlook those other skills simply because they feel they are btter off using another unload in the hope of stacking up that damage and ensuring a win. It akin to the old “must wear zerker gear” mindset. Why worry about defenses when you can just kill him quicker.?

This also happens with people using Vault with staff wherein they simply ignore those other skills in the hopes that “the next big vault will win me this”.

P/P does have defensive utilities but unlike an evade or a stealth or a port which function very well with either power or condition builds, the P/P defensive utilities tend to favor condition builds and or are tied more directly to traits chosen in conjunction with the same. (bound to get the stealth , weakening strikes for weakness, ankle shots for cripple).

The on demand immob off pistol two is a very useful defensive or offensive utility. This is panic strike whenever one needs it and not having a single instance every 20 seconds when enemy health below 50 percent. To do that pistol 2 however, you eat into your prime source of damage. Each individual p/p user will have to decide for themselves. “I got more INI so can output at least as much damage as I could before so am I going to use that extra ini for yet more damage (unload) or try and use it for something like an immob?”

I really do not think they can claim there no utility in the set after using another unload while ignoring its ability to blind immob or interrupt. The utility is in fact there.

And just a by the way. While true the AA compared to other weapon sets on p/p is weak in a POWER build, when that might stacked the damage output jumps considerably. It not all bad and it is ranged.

I admit I probably spam unload more than I should (that might stacks tho…sexy) however I love pistol 2 and 4 (although P4 i waste more init as I keep hoping for an interrupt…that sexy sexy pulmonary impact…mmmmmm).

tbh tho, with full might stacks (easily achieved by unload, although I may change my rune tho to help me keep my stacks longer from scholar) BL stacks and consumables, my power will push to a bit over 4.1k which when I do a backstab, it will down just about anyone.

Since the change to unload recently, ive been a little more..conscious on when I use my unload. If I can guarantee myself the 2 recovered init, thats 2 more init I can use to set up my D/P burst)

Its kinda interesting how many players/classes are all agreeing how unbalanced Berzerker is. That should really say something.

I don’t think most berzerkers will truly get what people are saying tho as I find that they don’t listen and they don’t care how ez mode the class is. If equal skilled Berzerker went up vs just about anything (even in a 2v1 scenario), 90%+ times they will come out on top, but most of them fail to see this or acknowledge it and try to deflect their issues on other classes (or in some cases on 1 little sigil which is kind of sad really as other classes who have been nerfed harder and more often learned to adapt to their changes…nuff said)

chronomancer dps way too low

Because chronomancer isn’t a dps spec it’s utility and not dps, leave the damage dealing to the classes built for that.

Crono can still hurt through the GS shatter burst and still 1 shot someone. Bench tests are mainly for things like raids.

Carrion stats and Choking Gas Daze

It’s meh I was using last night but It’s a great swap weapon now for Condi builds but not Main weapon viable the Choking Gas needs to be spammed to get enough Poison stacks to Proc the daze and then iits easily negated, and we all know what happens when Thieves expend all their Ini too fast…..

Some valid points on other stuff, but I want to point out that pulsing boons should’ve never be introduced in the first place. It marks dramatic power creep where boonstrip and boon corrupt pretty much lose their purpose, while player slotting the trait pays very little attention to CC unless being focus fired.

Next step would be to bring down the number of CC so those casting it should consider it a valuable tool used in vital moments. That’s the only way to reduce the spam feast we have in current meta, where players just do their own rotation without even reading opponents.

You guys are cute. Anet’s favorite child was punished and now there are QQ’s all over the place. A good player would just learn to adapt and move on in an ever changing game such as this. It’s a matter of l2p with the new changes and just accept that classes/builds/elements change to avoid them being stale.

Ive had many builds/classes ruined due to simpler nerfs (RIP my Bunker Busting Butthead Scrapper), but i adapted and moved on. It can be easier said than done, but when you have had nearly as many nerfs to builds that I have, you just deal with it. Its a game, not life.

Yeah, I wish we had more of that…. Nowadays the “meta” build is supported so much that it far outshines the others to the point of being non-competitive (or, at best, a significant handicap).

The thing I wish ANET would get is that you don’t need to strive for perfect balance on all builds – it will never exist – but if it is at least somewhat viable, it will offer a change of pace when the “meta” becomes boring or for people who like to get creative.

I get Meta, i do…min/maxing for effectiveness. It serves as a great starting point when I am making a new build on a class I havent played in a long time however. I rarely play meta (only do when I am learning how to counter certain classes/builds). Ive beaten MANY meta builds, both my class’s and others. I could push 4.1k power in a fight (thats really trying however) and i rarely see my class do that. I like it. Its different, I dont run SB or Bandits Defense or Staff on my DD. (which are all meta). Its great. I can typically take ppl by surprise.

I always said its sad to know what your opponent is running for build even before the fight starts, however as someone once said “If you can capture the element of surprise, you’re way ahead of the game”.

Frost bow and FGS are still somewhat viable fighting wise. As mentioned, range plays a part in the reason. Saw someone running the shield one. Totally too kme by surprise as I wasn’t aware how it worked,lol (I ended having to leave the fight as he was spam blocking/healing everything,lol)

Oh yeah there is the earth shield too…. completely forgot about that one

Vs a newbie teef (at the time) it was a pain in the butt,lol. Never seen it before (actually had to look it up after the fight to see what the shield thing was) so I didnt know what to expect. It was pretty effective but he was also set up a bit tanky.

As a teef, typically mesmer/chrono isn’t always easy (esp evady condi ones). Clones can/will get in our way and the reflects/chronophantasma bursts can really hurt. For condi mes: don’t stealth until we do…about a few seconds after we do (if you think we get the full 4 heartseekers off in our blinding powder, wait about 5sec before stealthing yourself.. Always expect us to start with steal/backstab once we are finally able to target you. Keep your clones up as often as possible and time the shatters. (actually this applies to both DPS and condi builds lol). Its also a good idea to stand in our blinding powder circles often, this limits us on how much stealth we get and possibly forces us to use more initiative as we will move away, BP again and stealth twice (wasting a lot of initiative).

If you are NA and want to practice, hit me up in game. Chrono/Mes is one class I want to learn to fight better.

As a thief, how do you think this patch changed the matchups between thieves and mesmers? Mesmer sustain took a decent hit without much being given back, but thief did lose some damage and some endurance regen.

Condi chrono’s were usually a challenge before and even after the patch (I find condi chronos are verbally kitteny anyway, as my stream has witnessed several times…more-so than any other class). PvP is one thing (There is no Dire or Trailblazer stats in PvP nor food/consumables so condi builds are not as “tanky” in PvP as in WvW). Because of this you can’t truly measure a good fight between Daredevil and Condi Chrono (unless the fought in a guild arena with the chrono using tanky condi stats then I take this all back).

I went up against probably 4-5 diff condi chronos (1 in kodan form…weird seeing ppl running around with that although I heard some classes use it as it can hide certain attacks/bursts) and came out on top about 70% of the time vs before was probably about 80-85%. Its all about watching for the shatter condi burst and not wasting a cleanse on a minor stack of condis…mind you I also don’t run bandits defense either so I sometimes forget I need to be on high alert.

You missed my point entirely. No one will use them anyways because the buffs did nothing to add to their viability. No one here is against buffing skills that are utter garbage.

The buffs most certainly did add to their viability, and by quite a bit. Most guardians won’t be able to see that simply because that’s just the kind of crowd DH draws. I mean the best argument people have for SoC being bad right now is “It’s the best burst heal in the game, BUT THE PASSIVE IS USELESS THEREFORE THE WHOLE SKILL IS USELESS”.

That’s an awfully positive stance considering that almost all thieves take Panic Strike over that, and also considering that 6 seconds of revealed as a thief typically means that you’re either forced to retreat or you die.

Well I run Revealed Training and it def helps. Panic strike is ok, however in my builds I like running something that people do not expect (aka non meta). FOr the “typical” teef thats what revealed usually means…but im not your typical teef,lol.

Empathic Bond on Ranger is helpful, up until my pet dies from Torment stacks. And I’m not the type of Ranger that stands at max range and pew pews. I like to try and cap points or decap so I can be useful, so I would go in melee. I guess with Revenants, I need to just stick to the edge of the circle.

pewpew, knock em back, root them and fire away with rapid fire and barrage. Having the taunt on f2 helps as well as using the wolf.

I don’t understand these changes, as someone who dual mains thief/guard. Thief v DH matchups were already lopsided in favor of DH pre patch. This only widens an already large gap. And then the TS nerf in favor of signet buffs that no one will use anyways…

So staying Longbow on my Ranger should be enough to avoid the Torment spam? I’ve seen Revanants teleport short distances. Not sure what skill that is. I know they have the leap that leaves the purple pizza field of death.

As a Druid/Ranger, you easily have the tools to deal with it

People tend to get what they give in this game. If I’m fighting people who are respectful of duels etc, I’ll do the same, and I won’t attack low levels unless they attack me. If a server constantly interrupts duels and siege stomps, I’ll hunt individuals and bleed them out repeatedly for the next few hours. Like someone else said, be the change you wish to see.

Question, by low level, are you referring to low ranked players? I saw someone in a low ranked (Druid), however he had the Champion Hunter title, therefore he should know how to use his druid. Typically I dont like to fight/farm low levels (dont need them leaving WvW forever amirite?) but they will typically attack first (as the should, best way to learn is to go head first…until you learn sometimes its better not to,lol)

Wars seem to be the only ones that don’t get that headbutt needed a good balance of some sort.Its now able to be dodged/evaded, albeit still not easy but it’s now doable (esp as a squishy class). There are worse things anet could have done to it and this was probably the least they could have done (don’t know if this was just a lazy easy way out kind of change but it was a change). Try being an outsider looking in and maybe you will truly understand what i really mean.

Just…How people make claims about headbutt had no tell and it was impossible to dodge it..and now its sorta doable ? My god,all the l2p issues here while pretending to be any good,hurdur.

hurdur? umm…ok? Need your meds? Anywho L2P is a part of any combat issues and I would be the first to state that yeah, l2p would def help, however l2p doesn’t excuse the difficulty of evading a utility. There’s a reason why at least 95% of berserkers run it and it isn’t to tickle your opponent to death (although that would be a neat ability). If Anet reduced the amount of Adrenaline gained from it by at least half, but keep the same warmup as before, that would have been a good nerf as it then requires a bit more skill to fill the adrenaline bar.

I know my class well.. which is why I can read other warriors and dodge said headbutt accordingly.

Which was my point…you are not an outsider, therefore you don’t truly understand what I really mean. This nerf, as I mentioned, was weak, but needed.

Try playing a Warrior and see that Headbutt wasn’t the free win skill everyone whining about it said it was. It was already easily dodged by anyone who was paying attention and if you’re trying to go toe-to-toe with a Warrior then you deserve a headbutt to the face. The fact that everyone knows it’s coming made it even easier to prepare for.

You did see the part where I said I do play one right? I cant tell you how many people ive downed from HB + Arcing Slice (after i pop stab ofc), stun lasts long enough for a couple hundred blades hits (with the quickness). 3 button win about 9/10 times vs DPS builds and 7/10 vs condi builds

I have to agree with OP. The thing is that thieves have taken the short bow as their secondary weapon for as long as the game has existed. SB 6 is just THAT strong. Arena Net: Not every weapon needs a CC to be useful.

Thieves even more stupidly OP after the recent needs to other classes sustain. That and combined with sigil of absorption it’s gg.

Yeah maybe you should do it some time. Thief still broken as hell. Other classes got sustain removed, thief even more so a dodge spamming – press 1 – class.

Berserker: press 0 then f1 = win (less keystrokes than spamming dodge and pressing 1 a few times)

Druid: LB knockback, rapidfire (both from 1500 range) and let pet do most of the work

Necro: Chill, Chill, Chill = 25 stacks of bleed = win

Chrono (condi): Scepter 3 (beam attack), clone clone (by dodging), shatter and walk away.

Engi (P/P): 4/3/2/1/1/1 and walk away

DH: Drop traps, F1/F1 and done OR judge intervention, torch 4/4 and aoe burn field = win

Based on your logic, every class is OP because on 1 certain build or 1 certain sigil (I could go on but my point is obvious). Not everyone plays these builds (well…minus berserker and reapers).

The only good things they got was possible more unload assuming all shots hit, also meaning initiative will run out faster therefore leaving the teef out to dry (means reflects are more deadly to them now so they will die faster…yeah…OP) and sb poison field can stun um…don’t stand in it? Again, yeah OP only if you are resing or afk.

This doesn’t constitute was “OP” by actual means. If something has any counters (whether soft or hard) then its not OP. There’s a difference between OP and unbalanced.

The irony… Are you under the impression you are playing EVE Online? Or maybe you think you are playing DOTA 2 competitively for a few million dollars at The International?

Newsflash GW2 is a low skilled, casual MMO, that makes great efforts to avoid “hardcore” sorts of gameplay, where WvW is about as “carebear” as you can get for any PvP mode, and you are playing it…

I completely agree with you. Now for my 2 cents. Lol get ready!

While another MMORPG that no longer has to worry about GW2 as a competitor. Is basically weeks from releasing a PvP based expansion, with balance geared behind PvP which in turn is going to hurt it’s PvE community abit.
However this MMORPG heavily punishes the casual can’t be bother to learn how to play or put forth effort in getting good, type player base.
So I’m just going to say pick your poison.

A.) Casual, super zerg and troll friendly game.
B.) Super punishing, skill based, numbers without skill means very little game.
or
C.) quit gaming altogether.

So many complain about how the game is. Yet there are other offerings on the market that support what players are complaining about on these forums.
Could it be that inside these players are just being vocal against the things they actually love? And trying to get devs to implement things that they totally will hate? And if so then, is it that ANet knows this and pushes the game in the way. It current player base would actually like?

I mean ANet does have the metrics. I personally watch two of the most Hardcore WvW guilds on my server, and many ex friends try out skill based games. I even made them kitten low level crafted gear, and gave them many tips. They usually only last 2 to 3 weeks. Let me tell yall they all left me high and dry, and either came back to GW2, went to WoW, or stopped gaming altogether. So in the end ANet is actually doing yalls job for you all, and looking out for your best interest.

People talk about WvW imbalance yet refuse to destack servers, over bogus reasons. Lol I guess the only people these guys are fooling are themselves. And ANet knows it.

So what do you propose these guilds on the “stacked” servers do? No one wants to xfer to a lower server especially not now when they are for the most part completely barren of any sort of structure or support for guilds and players. Not to mention lower match-ups are often dead in terms of fights, especially in the later time zones. Do you want the rest of the guilds playing wvw to die? Staying where your guild is healthy and engaged/having fun with guild wars 2 seems like a pretty valid reason to not transfer to me.

If your guild is truly looking for a fight and not just to crub stomp some already injured puppy. Yes I do. Take you and you guild and be the balance factor. But then again from my experience with the current GW2 WvWers. They have more fun just PvDing and camping servers in their spawn then complain why no one wants to fight them.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA… Imagine that players not wanting to ,spend time out of their day to deal with that nonsense. Who would’ve ever figured, right? The community is helping the devs in their task to see WvW burn.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA not as many people PvD or camp servers so I don’t know what tier you are in, but clearly its as toxic as your response. Maybe its time to move servers.

I can say with confidence that there are only 2…maybe 3 servers that are known to spawn camp so that leads me to believe you are either in t1 or t2 (as these servers bounce between the 2) and if I had to guess, i’d say you were also in a server that spawn camps as well…where its from your experience.

I can also say that my guild runs havoc and loves to PPK rather than PPT (although sometimes one leads to another which makes it more exciting). There are legit players/groups that hate spawn camping and PvD and ppl jumping on each other bodies or throwing siege on people (mainly seen in higher tier servers too mind you…so toxic they are. Maybe they need a snickers). but roam, take camps/towers and fight good fights or look for duels (ya know, the non toxic fun that actually exists for certain tiers).

Interesting arguments guys, however the classes are not fully balanced, nor will they ever be fully balanced and people just need to accept that. Once you do, GW2 will be slightly more enjoyable. Everyone knows that teef if strong 1v1 and berserker is strong 1v1, 2v1 and 3v1. Difference is that with passives that both classes take, teefs will drop faster to condis and are way more prone to being 1 shotted by the other class. There is a reason why new players are suggested to start with warrior more often than not.

inb4: I play teef yes, but I also play druid/engi and berserker (hammer ftw). Some classes are more…shall we say…“noob friendly” than others. The main point is that classes will never be balanced enough that everyone will be happy. Just adapt to whatever changes, stop complaining and just play. This is a game after all.

Wars seem to be the only ones that don’t get that headbutt needed a good balance of some sort. Its now able to be dodged/evaded, albeit still not easy but it’s now doable (esp as a squishy class). There are worse things anet could have done to it and this was probably the least they could have done (don’t know if this was just a lazy easy way out kind of change but it was a change). Try being an outsider looking in and maybe you will truly understand what i really mean.

I know my class well.. which is why I can read other warriors and dodge said headbutt accordingly.

Which was my point…you are not an outsider, therefore you don’t truly understand what I really mean. This nerf, as I mentioned, was weak, but needed.

Or you could just wait it out and use the time to re postion your self instead of wasting iniative.

That only works in 1v1. It does not work in pvp for example as target might gain random block from the guardian for example the very same moment you hit backstab.

Not to mention, if you are actually low on ini and locked out of AA, you can’t cleave anymore which is really bad. No other class is locked out of AA for such long period of time but thief. I would really love to see mesmers getting their AA locked if they missed shatters or warriors getting locked out of AA if they missed burst. I bet the cries would be insane.

Thief also is only class that has extreme hardcounter to entire traitline and class mechanic, namely reveal on demand. No other class has to deal with this.

I also don’t even want to start on the fact that this nerf affected all weapon sets, even those that are already really weak. Once again, class discrimination at its finest.

Ok well sure. I forgot I don’t do much pvp anymore so that kinda skipped my memory. But class discrimination, pff the wvw side of things thieves are gods creation and anets baby doll.

OMG you guys are awesome. ANets favorite child and you still feel like you need more. Its kinda cute. Can’t wait to see what happens to the warrior community when a decent nerf actually happens. Headbutt needed the increased windup time, every other class can tell you that. Shield bash was kind of a surprise I will admit, as I dont see many wars actually connecting with that but headbutt’s nerf was weak compared on what could/maybe should have happened.

How do we beat godzerkers?

Play like a kitten.
Dodge to stay out of harms way (make use of LoS and Kiting to improve CD management), then sometimes do some quick sneaky hits with Shadowshot and AA’s (keep up poison on Warriors!). Try to interrupt the DH’s F2 and really make sure to dodge/interrupt/LoS the DH’s F1 now that it reveals.
P/P should make it easier because you don’t have to get in their range too much.

Revealed actually does me more good than harm as a DD (Revealed Training ftw,lol)

If they want to give me a +200 power boost unknowingly, then I thank them as I dont need to waste my init to stealth to do it. Thanks for the tips. I am finding shadowshot mixed with a few AA’s really do help.

DH’s is all abou tP/P and nailing an interrupt for that sweet sweet Pulmonary Impact

No reveal on Sorpion Wire?

Scorpion wire doesn’t “tether” 2 players together. DH’s spear, druids elite siggy tether, as in they stay connected to each other for a certain amount of time, unless the tether breaks due to distance. Scorpion wire is simply a straight up pull using a wire thats quick and nearly instant and doesn’t stay connected to the opponent the way the spear/siggy does.

Ele main here, I’ll try to provide tips on how to fight a Daredevil.

I’ve tried my hand at Daredevil, both playing D/P meta, Staff acro, and a mix of both.

If a Thief goes D/P, they will generally be more vulnerable but more mobile if they take dash. D/P Thieves generally have better damage compared to Staff especially when the Thief takes DA instead of Acro. Even though staff has easier bursts than D/P (vault), it is weaker since it gets to hit less than D/P.

Mind you that staff DDs tend to use staff 3 a lot. Begin autoattack animation -> steal -> staff 3 -> kite is something you will see a lot when dueling staff acro thieves.

Just try to remember these things:

- A Thief’s defense is their mobility
- Wasting their Backstab is crucial
- Don’t give them a chance to use Black Powder if they’re near you
- If they blocked an attack at close range with Bandit’s Defense, dodge since they may use a counterattack which can CC you and let them rip off a nice chunk of damage with Vault or other means
- If you’re condi and you deliver a burst, don’t attack them. If you notice their condis completely removed then they may have wasted their Signet of Agility and Shadowstep. With those two gone the Thief is slightly weaker and less agile.

The most dangerous part of a Thief is when they’re in stealth. If they’re running Basilisk Venom and they steal you, they can interrupt you even if you had 10 stacks of Stability for quite a while so save those stun breaks.

Now for some Fresh Air Elementalist tips:

- Tempest doesn’t scale well against Daredevil. Even by taking Harmonious Conduit, their steals will interrupt the Stability. In theory Tempest is good because it supplies AoEs which should counter a Thief, but unlike Dragonhunter, Overloads are really long channels which basically tell a Thief, “Interrupt me!”

- I tried running Fresh Air Tempest but it does not work. Fresh Air core ele is the best you can take.

- Your main attack will come from Air. Electric Discharge + Sigil of Air + Scepter 2 is generally what will do the big damage. Phoenix from Fire works pretty good too, just make sure your Phoenix is aimed at slightly behind your Thief if you can do that, since you may hit the Thief 5+ times with the skill (but it’s unlikely the Thief will take your Phoenix).

- As someone said above, you can use Arcane Blast for huge bursts. Electric Discharge + Sigil of Air + Lightning Strike + Arcane Blast is a deadly combo. It’s easy too.

- Contrary to popular belief, Lightning Flash is not necessary!! This is especially true if dueling a Thief who can teleport to you after wasting your LF. Thieves catch up to you no matter what so it’s best to have a stun breaker instead of LF. I would take Armor of Earth, Mist Form, and Arcane Blast or Arcane Shield.

- When swapping to Air attunement make sure the Thief isn’t dodging or blocking. Your attack will go right down the drain.

I’m sure there are more tips but that’s all I will say for now.

Those tips are good, however a lot of DD’s now run the trait that tricks (such as the heal thats widely used nowadays) now remove condis as well so its not safe to assume that of they have no condi’s then they wasted their siggy and/or shadowstep. Condis are the bane of DD’s I will admit, however you need to be more of a 1 trick pony to beat a good DD (ie … ele’s mainly use burn for condi, but not enough pressure compared to burn guardian so you need to be on your A game as well).

Since the release of HoT masses of skilled players and guilds have left gw2. Everyday gw2 loses more and more wvw players. All that is left is the players trying to hang on for lack of another game like wvw. And players and guilds that strive to do nothing but make the wvw experience as unpleasant as possible for other players. WvW is no longer fun for anybody except those type of people that find it enjoyable to make playing unenjoyable for other players.
It’s just time for anet to cut their losses and shut wvw down for good. With there not being a skill balance coming any time soon its a lost cause to keep it up and im sure the upkeep cost isn’t worth it.

tbh I know lots of people who run WvW and find good fights, whether in 1v1s or gvg’s. WvW isnt as active as it was, say 3 years ago, however it’s still a fun mode for those that legit enjoy it for the fights (both small and large scale, i know you know what im talking about,lol)

To go as far as say its only enjoyable for those that make it unenjoyable for others would certainly make it an opinion that is not shared by the majority of the WvW community however I will respect that it is your personal opinion.

Cant say one way or another, but in my experiences the builds are different some of the strategies are different.

IN MY EXPERIENCES when i did do both alot typically i had no problem beating any roamer i encountered on a power necro.

To be frank. Roaming died a couple years ago. What is left is a cesspool for the most part with a shiny oasis once in a while.

Back when Obsidian Sanctum fight club existed…when Windmill was a hot spot and the spot near near south camp bridge had skirmishes happening 24/7…When taking north camp and getting instant response from roamers was a thing… That was the golden age of roaming. Epic memories were made during that time <3

Awesome thing about this, is I still see S bridge dueling more often than I have the last 2 years. I miss the old Scantum fight club…those were epic times. Windmill i see on rare occasions (maybe 1 day every 4-6 months). I still WP when I see/hear that N camp contested (I mainly roam or at the most, lead havoc)

Its all about the server you choose. You just need to choose an EU server (there is an option to look at EU servers).

From an outsider looking in, id say esports and the players (not all but a good amount) are leading the downfall of PvP for the most part with ANet only needing to take a small blame.

inb4, I used to PvP all the time from s2 – 4. Ive pointed out many items that contributed/contributing to the downward spiral that is PvP in map chat where a LOT of people agreed with.

Lol, we were the slowest class? You know, between this and your other posts about warrior speed, you’ve greatly undermined any legitimate points you have on the subject by exaggerating the scale and scope of the problem.

As a non warrior playing passer-by (main teef and engi atm), I agree with what you are saying. Most of the gw2 population knows that warrior speed isn’t horrible or close to.

since it does not seem to be covered dodge at start of a roll an at end of the roll have .15 seconds of being able to dmg the thief.

so if a thief dodges twice in a row that become .3 of unavoidable dmg try to use 1/2 or 1/4 skills in that time frame for max value.

no matter how strong a thief build himself his core def is from weaken and blinds. if you can deal with that you can crush any thief build.

Weaken would have more of an impact that blind on a teef. Both are still a pain however a teef has many multi attacks or range to see blind as a major hindrance.

I use Air on daggers and Bloodlust I use but I am experimenting without it you could run Hydromancy and Bloodlust

Do you think hydromancy would work better (keeping BL of course) than leeching or Air? Im going for great damage and i think that berserkers would be able to shrug the chill off really quickly.
