When stat swap utility on non raid armor?

Why does Open world Pve have a monopoly on Legendary weapons locked behind it? Why does only that gamemode get this utility?
Because non-open world pve players do not ask for legendary weapons to be available in other ways.
And they don’t. It always comes up only in discussions about other things, as an argument from people that do not really want it, but merely use it as an argument to shut up others.
So, if you want WvW or sPvP getting their own path to legendary weapons, make a thread about it. If i decide to post in it, it won’t be to argue against it.
That is a lie WvW, Pvp and instances Pve players have asked for Legendaries to added to their game modes since launch but nice lie though, they just stopped since 4 years of neglect from Anet has proven they don’t care about those game modes on good rewards.
The best crit on a Backstab I have seen running Zerkers with Assassins Signet popped was 10k plus 1.2 from from Lightning Strike against another Thief, this skill cannot one shot any class not running a Zerker assassin with the lowest HP. So for people saying it can one shot you in Pvp sho proof of Screenshots with your HP /ammy and the combat log.
This screen shot is before the nerfs to the other classes.
I dont know how they will perform in team setting but in solo que its pretty annoying.
Its simply steal 5 on staff. Or steal back stab 2 on dagger.
I didnt take pictures recently but i understand that any small changes ANet makes throws balance out the door from the previous meta because of how bad HOT classes are.
where is one shot in this?
I was in a 1 vs 1 with another class which is why you see the burning. It was at a constant 1-2 burns so nothing to big. My health was around 15k the whole fight in a 1 vs 1.
Theif comes over steal/dazes me and hits the 5 staff skill and im down.
When you talk about 1 shot kills i really think about the time. Like in this situation i was in a 1 vs 1 and we are going at with no real winning coming any time soon. A thief comes over and ends it in 2 sec.
It can be frustrating to alot of people who might not be able to find a role they like in the game. ( The OP seems to run into this issue)
Finding a role can be hard and when you might want to stand off point a little and run some sort of stun/daze mesmer with marauder amulet. Your gonna die in 1 sec from passive condi being thrown around in the fight. Then boom a thief instantly downs you in 1 sec.
I dont understand why its hard to see a person point of view when we all know this is the case. Simply using the phrase “where is the 1 shot” is being argumentative just because which is fine if thats what your doing.
So you were 1V2 and complaining about dying to a thief priceless…….you’re not helping your case any further
What case is that?
If you are reading my comments i have no real complaints. This is simply the meta.
Do i think this is more skilled base combat then before HOT? NO, simply put we had multiple builds you could play with.
You guys are arguing that a thief can not 1 shot you which is not true especially in the hypothetical situation i gave earlier.
Thief has been given a better role to play since the nerfs to other classes and this is its role. But disagreeing with the OP (which from his previous threads struggles against this class) is not you/others being correct taking the opposite side.
I and some guild mates tested this out and staff thef does a insane amount of damage. The idea you can be in a fight in good condition and a staff 5 can do 10k damage followed by a dodge that can do 4k then a another 10k.
You say im not making a good point, im agreeing with the OP that guess what you can get insta downed by thieves/revs in +1 situations and that necros do unreal amounts of damage in team fights.
Thats the new meta and i dont like it and you and others pretending that it doesnt happen is yours to keep.
I am arguing that what you showed is not a Indra down you were against two people as you stated your self of course you will die against two people it’s common sense. And again there is no true one shot down in this game unless both people are pure glass on the two squishiest classes in Pvp. The OP stated she got one shot downed from stealth from a thief which implie BS which can’t hit anywhere near that hard against any of the Meta builds.
Also almost every class has a combo of skills that do ridiculous amounts of rust damage, Thief, Chrono, Rev, Druid, War the list goes on.
And your screen shot proves that at most those Vaults only did 6k damage since it was 12k in two hits.
TL dr Thives can’t one shot people. Yes they can burst people down as a plus one but so can every other class…
Yeah Ghost Thief doesn’t kill anything besides noobs with no conflict cleanses, is only efficient in packs of 3+ ghost Thieves. Run the D/P or Staff or for the very braindead the D/D Condi Evade spam
In WvW zergs yes in roaming possibly

I’m fairly sure the 1s cd on stealth attacks was to prevent breaking through 1 hit defenses like Aegis or Blind, since hitting them does not break stealth.
And the fact thieves had 3-4 second timer to land a BS in the majority of cases, so adding another punish for no reason since what you are saying is still an assumption since Anet has yet to provide any justification so currently it is “solution” to no problem..

To be clear, this is not about skins. Please don’t conflate the issue with that aspect.
So, one thing that has concerned(?) me for a while is the utility aspect of legendary armor. The ability to swap stats, without having to go back to the mystic forge, or craft another set, but while you are playing (out of combat obviously). This is a clear advantage in convenience, over all other armor.
But I hear you say, it’s not a big deal, because you’ll still have to swap runes! Two points:
1. If it’s not a big deal then it doesn’t matter if non raid armors have this ability, does it? Because all you guys care about is the skins right? We’ll never change runes anyway because it’s too expensive is the classic comment.
2. What happens when ANet finally get around to solving the rune issue?Since these armors are currently just prestige items, and skins are the only thing that matters (cause that’s what I’m always told), the armors other feature – i.e. it’s utility function – should not be locked away in raids.
Why does only that game mode get this utility?
the stat swap is the perk of legendary items. Your trying to make this into an issue for raiding when its not related – raiding is merely another source of legendary items (although i believe legendary armor should be achievable by other means.
Only if they give Legendary Weapons through Other means. Right now each game mode sans WvW has at least 1 Legendary exclusive to it, with open world Pve having the biggest monopoly.
Well anyone can do open world pve solo you dont have to relly on 9 other people to be able to make your legendary.
So what about pvp and Fotm Legendaries that relies on 4 other players per completion to even get those. Just saying this isn’t the first Legendary to require more than just yourself.
It is fine to have exclusive Legendaries to gamemodes, if they open up one Legendary to different game modes they have to do the same for the others.

That screenshot I showing two vaults used to make the 12k damage with steal and Bound. I was asking for a screenshot of the fabled 1 shot from stealth from this current patch or last balance patch for that matter.

+1 would be best change that has been asked for since game launch!!
At its absolute peak, I do believe D/D is the best PvE DPS set. Staff very well could be better. PvE optimal performance will be DA/CS/DrD as Trickery is pretty much an unnecessary addition when most of the damage comes from pressing 1.
I have tested the too builds in raids with D/D for the DA/CS/TR and DrD, the Tr was a lot easier to maintain the DPS at the time and was a much better Rotation which left dodges for Defense vs Offense haven’t tested recently so it could have changed but I doubt it. Staff build does have more overall survivability plus AoE, and any fight that forces perma Reveal it will be better.
@Goldfox
It has been discussed multiple times there has been nothing new to add to the conversation. The raids are fine as they are, they exceeded expectations of the target audience and then some.
How do you even know The Mordrem Guard are Corrupted? Sylvari go physiological changes under a psychological Stressors as shown quite a few times in game, Mordremoth calling to them and influencing their thoughts is a psychological stressor which would account for the change in appearance and not a corruption.
Holy Necro Courtanis.!!!
One way they could make Thief more viable is to give them Impactful aoe skills like everyother class has….
You are in Pvp so do as has been proven to work in high level play just ignore them and profit…
But is all seriousness they have glaring flaws that most classes can take advantage of being highly telegraphed skills in regards to Staff with Punish Frames, very weak passive defenses, are very weak to area denial/Aoe skills, and most Hard Ccs will mean the death of the Thief. It will take practice also play the thief build you are having problems with it will show you the flaws
We do know solely from a. Dev stating Sylvari were created to be Dragon Minions. You can’t refute the meaning of Created
BlaqueFyre.5678Again you are going against things stated in game and by Devs.
Dragon Minions can be created and Sylvari were created to be Dragon Minions. The term created refers to origin otherwise they would have used a different word or phrase as to why Mordremoth went after them you can’t dispute the Dev saying they were Created to be Dragon Minions, just like you can’t dispute the definition of created….I’m analyzing the whole sentence: “created to be dragon minions”. Like I said in another thread, elementalists summoning elementals can be considered a form of corruption: in this way, elementals are created (or animated) to be servants, but they have a mind of their own nonetheless; they are separate entities to begin with. This would be equal, on a much larger scale, to how Primordus animate those specific destroyers from lava.
When regarding Mordremoth, it’s not clear if sylvari come directly from him: sylvari spawn from those Trees afterall and it’s also unclear if the seeds, the origin of said Trees, come from Mordremoth.
Again created to be Dragon Minions means their origin was to be Dragon Minions since they were not just corrupted to be Dragon but Created as in their whole existence was to be a Dragon Minion, this would mean Mordremoth brought the Sylvari into existence otherwise they would have just been Corrupted into Dragon Minions. You are just stuck on your own opinion/bias trying to refute what in game lore and what Devs have stated.
Sock.2785“Created to be a dragon minion” doesn’t imply they came from Mordremoth, but that they got corrupted by Mordremoth. Dragon minions always need to be corrupted first; nothing is in its origin a dragon minion, it must be corrupted first.
BlaqueFyre.5678Uhmm….. Destroyers are created not corrupted………..
I addressed this in another thread: when created from the lava, destroyers seems to be either elementals or constructs, hence they should have associated to them, or a mind of their own (as weak as it would be); again, they’d be “created to be dragon minions”.
Again you are going against things stated in game and by Devs.

Leaderboards incite competition. You cannot have 100% of the WvW population say “These leaderboards are meaningless” Someone, somewhere will still use the leaderboards as bragging rights. Mag, BG, TC, whoever. Thus, it’s a competitive scene and subject to the standards of even playing grounds.
They are completely meaningless with all the manual glicko adjustments happenening…
Why should they close the game mode when this acctually does not affect anyone in any way? What difference does it make if you win or you lose in WvW? And what about the players that only play WvW? Should they be denied of their game mode just because of server issues? Then better off shutting the whole game as people on PvE are suffering the same issues (in fact I lost my T4 Solid Ocean party 4 times because of the disconects).
Because unlike your PvE parties where you can reset over and over again in the hopes that the connection says stable long enough to complete Jade Maw, WvW does not reset midmatch, WvW does not care if players are online or not, and more importantly WvW keeps on going even if Anet servers are not optimally operating.
In a competitive scene, WvW should not be allowed to continue operating if players are allowed to play in an unfair environment. I am a WvW-only player and I do not want to have the hassle of logging onto the borderland to continue to push a group that is taking advantage of the situation. It is dirty tactics and kittening annoying to have to deal with.
How is WvW competitive? It hasn’t been remotely competitive since the Tournaments which aren’t coming back as per Devs? You win absolutely nothing if you place 1st and lose absolutely nothing if you place last…….
The current problems are.
Huge Population Imbalance
Can be fixed by making oversatcked servers destack. Easiest way to do this would make Overstacked Servers have a Lowered Map Cap….When it comes to population imbalance, opening the most stacked server Blackgate, was NOT a solution. In response to Anet’s decision to manually open Blackgate, members of the WvW community took it upon themselves to stack another server (Maguuma) in order to fight Blackgate, or else they would simply roll over everyone.
I definitely agree there is a population issue, but finding a solution is incredibly hard. Sadly it’s something that Anet will most likely not solve
The easy solution is to lower Overstacked Servers populations Map caps so they are Queued constantly that will make players transfer out..
The current problems are.

Massive Server Lag
This has a lot of different variables contributing, the massive amounts of AoE Damage/Healing/CC/Conditions/Boons all bog down servers.
Giants blobs fighting contribute.
Horrible coding could also be a contributing factor!
Possibly outdated server Hardware and Software.
To a lesser extent
Horrible Class Balance
This is mainly due to the ridiculous amount of AoE/CC and Boon spams some classes have. Which contributes to Massive Server Lag…..
Dagger/Dagger is Great in fractals and Raids using a core build
A fundamental point about the sylvari is that they are a new race, spawning on Tyria for the first time roughly 30 years ago; they’ve never been seen before. How would the Exalted distinguish between the two [mordrem and sylvari] when they’re both made of plants and they first came in contact with mordrem not long before they first encountered any sylvari too.
Trying to making it short, this is my reasoning in a nutshell: the Dream of Dreams is a Realm of the Mists; Mordremoth used to be the sole ruler of said Realm, before the Dream (aided by the Pale Tree) and the Nightmare started to contrast his predominance; the creations of said Realm are spontaneous (like some demons and Razah spawned in the Realm of Torment) and come to the flesh world via these infamous Trees (literally “being born” into growing pods), natural physical one-way doorways interconnected to the Mists, but “proper” Mists portals to the Dream Realm also exist (as shown in this story step); these creations’ minds can be bent by Mordremoth (the Realm’s former ruler) or can be aided in retaining their will by the Dream or the Nightmare, benevolent entities kittenpect the will of their Realm’s creations.
On the Blighting Trees: these Trees, like the Pale Tree, do not decide themselves when to give birth to any creature through the pods; in a way, it’s the Realm that dictates that (because those creature’s very essences spawn in there), and/or its eventual ruler. Having a suitable template for the Trees to copy seems to be a fundamental step though (that’s why we see just now the sylvari, anthropomorphic creations: there was no “human template” to copy during the last dragon rise). When the Blighting Trees are provided with suitable templates, they’re able to replicate said templates.
I don’t see how these Trees can be classified as “dragon champions”, on par to Diarmid, when they aren’t even able to present themselves (because they didn’t had a chance to reach such a state; it would have been useless to Mordremoth).
Again, the Blighting Trees didn’t have a chance, like the Pale Tree, to develop a higher mind and are exploited by Mordremoth solely as “minion factories”; they are no more braindead than any other corrupted being. On the seeds: you assume those seeds are a form of dragon corruption to begin with, and on top of that you assume they somehow got purified; the whole “purified thing” is nowhere to be found, if not in spectators’ speculations.
Unlike animal eggs, fertilized plant seeds can hibernate and remain in their embryonal stage until favourable conditions are encountered; the point is that (in my view at least) the embryo can’t be considered a living being (with its own mind), hence why Mordremoth has to wait for them to be planted before corrupting them.On Terebinth: I’ll just say that the Revered Terebinth is still young and growing and wasn’t nurtured from its beginning like the Pale Tree was, whom, on the other hand, became the Pale Tree that we know today after roughly 225 years (when starting to give birth to separate individuals).
Konig Des Todes.2086[…] the only thing created to be dragon minions, are dragon minions.
“Created to be a dragon minion” doesn’t imply they came from Mordremoth, but that they got corrupted by Mordremoth. Dragon minions always need to be corrupted first; nothing is in its origin a dragon minion, it must be corrupted first.
Konig Des Todes.2086Mordremoth is an Elder Dragon.. the Mouth of Mordremoth is its physical body (and from its body, the vines grow). It is not a tree. It just lives around one
The vines are roots, and they can expand across most of continental Tyria; as roots, they come from the Tree, which is the real physical body of Mordremoth (the double helix we see spinning inside the tree is its “heart of thorns”). The Mouth of Mordremoth clearly isn’t Mordremoth itself, it is just a creature corrupted by Mordremoth, used similarly to the Mouth of Zhaitan. There would be no reason in referring to it as a “mouth” if it actually were Mordremoth’s original body itself. Also, the vines surrounding the Mouth really do not seem to come from it, as they constrain it, and it also doesn’t use those vines to attack us: the Mouth is not the origin of the vines.
—CONTINUES—
Uhmm….. Destroyers are created not corrupted………..
Or they could incentivize de stacking servers by making the rewards for winning a Skirmish having a tiered reward per placement while at the same time severely reducing WvW map caps per Server (or limiting over stacked server map caps only) to punish over stacked WvW servers, which would mean locking the stacked Servers Till population has dispersed between all Servers allowing free transfers to the lower populated servers.
That Poobadoo is really Bubbles
I want certain things to be split as well. Mesmer and rev changes for pve/wvw are a great example. I haven’t heard of anet stating recently they want to split skills. I’m looking and I hope that’s true. I hope you’re right. It would solve many issues.
As for how downstate works I don’t know the community’s opinion and I don’t think it has been polled so I have to disagree there. I’m personally in the camp that such a change should be universal.
There were red posts about them splitting balance between all game modes, it happened a few months ago, plus in the patch notes it clearly specifies when a change is made for specific game modes, Pvp has always meant pvp only, it has never in the history of the game include WvW. WvW has meant only WvW and same for PvE.
In the Name of the Spirits of the Wilds*
I think they should just make it so stealth attacks will only have a cooldown if the enemy uses a skill to avoid the damage, such as blocks/evades/goes invuln, etc. Having a cooldown just because you missed really sucks, especially if you only have one stack of stealth (only one chance per 3 seconds pretty much). So atleast it will reward the player for blocking that attack rather than a base cooldown for smacking the air thanks to lag time.
Or they could remove it, especially since they have given absolutely any reason for this implementation.
Yea I remember those times too. I had to take my alts through for map completion it was horrible. I just wanted map complete getting killed by roamers. Anyways
GoB now: 6hours with booster, 8 without, 10 if you have no clue how to get wvw reward track pts fast.
GoB before the change: Daily JP in Eb and 3 bls ~45min a day for ~35badges, 3 wvw dailies 40badges ~45mins. About 7 days.
With boosters it is approx 4 hrs due to the daily bonuses
wasnt gift of battle just 500 badges before all this kitten?
Yes and any wvwer that was going for a legendary bought some of those before it was stopped. Its the pve that did not read the patch note. They got all upset after it was taken out because they did not see the warning.
That’s because Anet completely mishandled it (not only did they put the patch note in completely the wrong section, they distinctly failed to give any warning about the reward track beta ending.).
How was it in the completely wrong section? It was a WvW change that was in the WvW Section, the patch was released months before they removed it, so no they did. Not mishandle it, people just failed to read the patch notes.
Already purchaseable with gems Upgrade to delux package boom there you go
The real question is: why is Anet moving in this awkward direction?
How is it awkward? Anet ditched most passive defenses(such as dodge/evade in WoW and other mmos) for active skill based defense seems like a step forward to me. Is it possible you are doing something wrong? As i personally don’t have any issues with block, when i build to counter play block or any other defenses.
Really ditched passive defenses? There are Passive Invulns, Passive Blocks, Passive Evades, Passive Stun Breaks that counter Cc….
Again you can easily get them cheaper and faster from running Eotm, you need 75 Proofs each at 5-10 Proofs per rank up chest.
You can always WvW rank farm to get them ….. EotM is great for that
looks like someone got killed by a staff thief
And a bad one at that if it was spamming 5 with all those punish frames..
@ Rolisteel.
I agree. There are many players who have similar play skills if you take away the support of a rehearsed team.
While a minority believe that the mode is designed for team play.. It’s really not. It’s designed for “teams” of randoms. It is not designed for farm teams against randoms.
Just because they allowed random people to Queue together instead of competing in organized play does not mean it was designed for them, this gamemode has been designed for organized teams, it was just poor decisions on Anets part that killed the population and incentive to run organized teams.
^ this lol, Ele, Engie, Mesmer and Warrior make P/P hell
It’s very crap it’s only good in low tier, you give up so much utility and survivability, it will always kill bads, especially ones that don’t know how to use reflects or projectile hate skills.
So you take Inspiration 2-1-1/Valor 1-3-2/Invocation 1-3-1. You run Shamans Amulet with SB Hydromancy Sigil and Sigil of Water and Dagger Warhorn with Siil of Accuracy and Sigil of Fire, your main damage will be from spamming Soul Spiral, and dodging accordingly when out of Initiative!
I have no problem with pvp or wvw players being able to get legendary items by playing those modes. But don’t force PVE players to play pvp/wvw just to get their pve items. They don’t know how to play, they don’t want to play, so why make them?
Why force WvW and PvP players to play PvE for Legendary items? Also the only legendary for pvp is solely got from pvp so no one has to step foot there.
I thought people had to get those pvp tokens for some of their items. There were lots of non pvpers trying for the ascension- the pvp back piece. Be nice to see a wvw only legendary like that instead of a pve legendary that requires tokens from pvp or wvw.
Pve players trying to get a pvp legendary is on them and their choice since they had a pure Pve version they could work towards.
That may be for the new Legendaries I haven’t looked into the collections for them but those are also dirt cheap on the TP so I guess they don’t even have to pvp for those.
Yes WvW should have its own unique backpiece, and back at launch Legendary Weapons required all gamemodes to make them, But slowly Anet made it almost exlucsively to PvE by the time alone that is needed in PvE compared to WvW, for years players didn’t even have to WvW to get the GoB which was really biased, now they only have to spend 4-8 hrs max in WvW to get the GoB yet if a WvW player wants a Legendary weapon they have to spend Well over 20+ hrs in PvE
I have no problem with pvp or wvw players being able to get legendary items by playing those modes. But don’t force PVE players to play pvp/wvw just to get their pve items. They don’t know how to play, they don’t want to play, so why make them?

Your are under the assumption that the Seeds did not come from Mordremoth when their is nothing to suggest that, but there is slight evidence that they did with them being hairdos by monstrous plant creatures, their location in Maguuma, that Mordremoth has Blighting Trees.
One of the main points I made was that we don’t have an answer regarding the seeds’ origin, hence there’s nothing to suggest that they come directly from Mordremoth either. As I said previously, Mordremoth probably gathered the seeds (which are natural occurrences) and guarded them until its next rise in order to use them and corrupt them (but not until planted and grown because, as I said earlier, the seeds are in an embryonal stage and as such haven’t developed a mind yet for the dragon to subjugate).
The game has stated that sylvari are Mordremoths which could be why they wouldn’t be corruptible to other dragons, yes the Pale Tree defended against Mordremoths influence but that could be solely from the Seed being removed from mordremoths influence before is Sprouted and being tended by Ventari and his Magic.
Wynne stated that, and the Dream’s visions can be misinterpreted. If the Pale Tree was the only case of a “purified” Tree, then Malyck and its tree would not exist and I think this is proof of the seeds being natural occurrences, and it follows they’re corruptible by Mordremoth (and theoretically by other Elder Dragons too).
Who is to say Malycks tree wasn’t corrupted? We know absolutely nothing about him besides he came from the Heart of Maguuma(where Mordremoth rose) he is not connected to the Dream of Dreams(similar to Mordremoth), he has knowledge he shouldn’t, how to behave, how to talk, how to dress, how to fight and so on he shouldn’t have any of that knowledge due to what we know of his tree that it is not part of the Dream of Dreams.
For all we know he could have been created by Mordremoth and one of the Blighting Trees in the image of Sylvari with Knowledge Mordremoth gathered from infiltrating the Dream of Dreams so he could garner more information on his purified minions and from the world outside of the Heart of Maguuma.
The only way for Mordremoth to convert Sylvari was to hijack the Dream. If he could have used his trees for that, there would be no need of Trahearne as conduit. Also coming back to corruption, it’s worth noting that Mordremoth sent the Shadow of Dragon to destroy the Tree, not corrupt it. It seems he wanted to at least weaken her protection against him and be able to perform his Call. If he cold have corrupt her, it would have been a much more powerful weapon in the war to come.
Mordremoth seems to be linked to the Dream Realm from the start or if anything since Scarlet was exposed to the “Eternal Alchemy”. We don’t really know what the intent behind sending the Shadow of the Dragon was, but the Pale Tree would be very diffucult to corrupt (given she has a very strong mind in addition to being linked to the Dream), trying to weaken her is a good starting point; luckily we were there to stop it in time.
But so far nothing points to Malyck as being a Dreamer (global term that also accounts for Nightmare court and Soundless in that case).
With the Case of Malyck we know next to nothing besides his tree is supposedly in the Heart of Maguuma, and if he had no Dream of Dreams how did he have any concept or knowledge of language/right and wrong/ customs/fighting and so on, he would have been similar to an infant in all those aspects but he is shown as a fully functional/and knowledgeable person
We know Malyck is unconnected to the Dream, being born from a tree that itself is unconnected to the Dream, hence unable to guide its “children” (to recall the analogy, the tree’s mind is not developed enough), wasn’t helpful in that; nonetheless Malyck still spawned from the Mists (in the Dream Realm) and came to Tyria via a tree. There are some are some explanations on why it has a human form and basic knowledge:
- The tree from which he was born came in contact with human templates and “learned” to replicate them, much like the Pale Tree is thought to have done.
- The Mists themselves (in the Dream Realm), having been in contact with different templates for quite a while now, copied the human template (again, like what happened with Razah). Without a strong mind like that of the Pale Tree, the Dream (as in the entity) was unable to identify these other trees and their creations and stabilize a connection.
The Sylvari are stated to be of Mordremoth and what enforces that even more is the fact that the Pale Tree can protect Sylvari from corruption from the other dragons sans Mordremoth
Exactly, the Pale Tree, the Dream and the Nightmare help them resist all the Elder Dragons, not just Mordremoth; all those entities (Dream, Nightmare and Pale Tree) aid sylvari’s minds, they help making their minds stronger and more resistant. In theory any Elder Dragon could corrupt the silvary, but Mordremoth has an advantage over them: it is linked to the Dream Realm and its kind of magics are akin to those of the sylvari.
Your are under the assumption that the Seeds did not come from Mordremoth when their is nothing to suggest that, but there is slight evidence that they did with them being hairdos by monstrous plant creatures, their location in Maguuma, that Mordremoth has Blighting Trees.
The Sylvari are stated to be of Mordremoth and what enforces that even more is the fact that the Pale Tree can protect Sylvari from corruption from the other dragons sans Mordremoth
I slightly disagree. The pale tree protected the sylvari from Mordremoth’s Call.
But she can’t protect them from the other elder dragons, but also doesn’t need to, because dragon minions are innately immune to each other. Zhaitan couldn’t ‘revive’ the sylvan because they weren’t his to claim.
I was going off what was stated in the game/lore it is said that the Pale Tree is what protects them from corruption as stated here
Sylvari cannot be corrupted by most Elder Dragons, but simply die instead. This has been revealed to be the Pale Tree’s doing. Ogden Stonehealer hinted that this was caused by their ties to the Dream of Dreams. The only exception to this immunity is the influence of Mordremoth.
It would make more sense now with the reveal that sylvari were meant to be Mordremoths that that is why they cannot be corruptible
Some are good like Asura Pain Inverter in WvW. Others are complete kitten like Avatar of Melandru….. or Norn Bearform
