fear will last 50% less if they do go 30/30/x/x/x. so I think players will have to pick to go for full glass condi or mix it up a bit more.

So I think it’s official, Zerg vs Zerg is considered GvG. I don’t think 20v20 can be considered GvG or PvP. I think GvG would deserved an own gamemode and a ladder, but with this, the opportunity has gone away. It should be the PvP version of guild mission.

Stop trying to define GvG yourself. GvG is two guilds who agree how many people should fight and then go and fight. If they want a small number, fine. If they want 20v20, fine. There are no rules on numbers.
The problem is that’s not even PvP. In a 20v20, does individual skill matter at all, Can you watch out for a mesmer raising up his gs summoning a berserker? No. You go spam AoE skills with your PvE build and then hope for lucky crits. You can’t do anything.
And GvG was defined in the GW universe nearly 9 years ago.

So, I am required to explore all 4 maps in WvW to obtain a “gift of exploration” if I want to craft a legendary weapon. I play PVE not WvW! Why do we not have a choice to just explore the PVE world? I am not going to spend time struggling in ‘pvp’ mode to get a weapon I want to use in PVE. Note : I am not bashing WvW or the people who enjoy it.

If anet came up with such a thing how would you like to see it implemented? I think something like this would be good:
5pt: Players you down have 10% less downed HP
15pt: +10% movement speed out of combat
30pt: Players you down have a further 15% less downed HP (25% total)
50pt: +15% movement speed out of combat (25% total)
75pt: If enemies outnumber allies in a 600 radius, gain 1s stability and 3s quickness when stomping(5s cooldown)

According to Devon, this is NOT GvG. Instead, it is called “organized, large-scale battles.” That means they’re still planning to implement the best possible GvG mode.

for some serious time running/zerg busting I change things up a bit but over all same stats and 0/30/20/20/0 build just different traits and utilities.

Well, if it’s a noob build, he sure made me look stupid. For a moment, I was considering deleting a character just to roll a Necro and see what the deal was.
its a noob build in the sense that any necro can run it and be decent with it.
Just to confirm, we are working on new maps. I can’t give too many details, but a few things:
1) We’re trying maps with no cap points.
2) We’re trying mechanics that focus on high risk/reward mechanics that can win to sudden wins/sudden losses.
3) We’re trying maps that focus on “big play” moments that permanently impact the map flow/map status.
4) I can’t give an ETA on when you’d see one live, because we’re trying different maps, and each of them takes time to prototype, etc.I think that conquest is easy for new players to get into, and it’s allowed for some amazing high-level games so far! But we’d like to try some new things that get away from conquest.
Also, as many of us have said, we want to give players enough variety such that they can change what they play from time to time, while also being sure that we don’t fracture the player-base by spreading players out to too many different game types.
I know this isn’t a super exhaustive answer, but just wanted to give you guys a quick update.

a legendary should cost more to get. Why?
Because a legendary weapon can pick and choose which stats to have at any given time.
so essentially you have multiple ascended weapons in one.
If they do reduce the stat buff, why will anyone go near the ruins?
Already, even with the stat buff as it is, the majority of players avoid it and stay were the loot is…you also get more fights there too…cause that’s where everyone is…
it should give a MF buff so that way farming zergs can get better drops when they kill the lords. while we get better loot when we stomp ppl.
When faced against a necro player with ultra condition damage, an hp pool of 15k is very low.
Couple this with no stability, makes almost for a perfect 1 shot down.
Aside from getting more vitality and going defensive, is there anything is a thief can do?
Or just run away and wait for the opportune moment, in wvw, to attack necros with fellow wvw’ers?

How do you not instantly explode when someone decides to kill you? You have one stun break, no stability, no blocks, any decent player will make you pop that early and you will literally be down in seconds.
Also, staff as a DPS weapon?? What do you use it for? The auto-attack is so slow it’s easily avoided, the only ability that might hit hard is putrid mark, wouldn’t you do better with Axe/Focus? It has more synergy, will give you more damage, AoE Cripple, Chill and boon stripping, surely better than staff? I mean I use Staff on my mesmer power/zerk builds, but you CAN dps effectively with a mes staff, I just can’t see it with necro staff.
not sure how to explain why I can make it work, but it works for me
I get focused quite a bit and I usually dont have an issue unless 2-3 just go balls to the wall to get me down. I can usually kite them will my wells/marks.
I use staff for the condi removal and chill/psn/weakness application. regen on staff 2 is a nice addition. and getting LF when a mark is triggered is nice.
also if a decent player will make me pop my spectral armor right away that means I have yet to fight anyone decent
I’ve been running quite a similar build in sPvP too (different runes and traits) which doesn’t automatically mean it’s good. But it does work quite well for me though too.
I know right, its almost like they expect us our auto attacks to hit like a wet noodle when in reality we are hitting for 1-4k auto attacks.
power builds are terrible in pvp, you just will die in a seconds. You can’t evade damage like thieves, wars, engis, mesmers, and DS drop really fast.
to be honest I have never has an issue with this build.
the “condi meta” is just to boring and I am a wvw heavy condi dmg necro so I know what it is.
this power build allows me to do good dmg, and have a constant stream of LF regeneration.
I usually dont go down 1v1. 2v1 I have won a few times but it was a challange, 3v1 I doubt anyone can win and keep the point in their favor.
I don’t expect much from it, and its not even cause its Devon (who I don’t have a problem with). Its just going to be typical Anet answers, “We can’t talk about it right now”, “Anythings possible”, etc.

as you might see I am mainly a WvW player how loves fights/GvG’s
with the recent changes with the new bloodlust in WvW I took some time off and went to try my hand at Spvp.
Above is the link of the build I found to be the easiest to be successful in spvp.
we have 3 ways to clean conditions (heal/dagger4/staff4)
we can still condi overload players so they blow their cooldowns and I can burst them down no problem.
I dont rely on fear since most classes run with some sort of stability. I can still
immobilize them and lay down the pain while they panic because they cant move.
every auto attack I have gives me LF, staff marks give me LF, being hit when spetral armor gives me lf.
DS hits like a truck, and its possible to apply 6 different conditions while in DS. (vul/bleed/chill/fear/torment/immobilize)
Now I know this isnt the best build out there but its very easy to use and you dont feel like you are going to die in seconds.

Yesterday I had 2 come in and just stack 15 confusion on me. I sent it back.
at the time I had around 2400 condi dmg so with 15 stacks they where killing themselves with 3.5k ticks lol

If you are referring to me. I never said it wasn’t helping. I think they are a great asset to any server. I was simply defending those not in said guilds. Everyone contributes and is valuable. I’m simply saying those not in the guilds contribute much more than many are stating.
