I approve. However the necro bomb rotation is incorrect. Necros should place wells then go into deathshroud for +50% crit chance and use ds 5 then 4.
1 suggestion: include a link to meta builds.The burst start by saying “Use all your wells, then…” I just didn’t link them because many people use many differents wells.

QuickMouse is referring to the fact that Necro has a Grandmaster trait that gives a +50% crit chance boost in DeathShroud which is used by like everyone. That boost applies to the damage put out by the wells, like how eles drop meteor storm and then go tornado for the extra damage boost. You then use DS #5 to immob people while they are in your wells and also they can soak up your DS #4. That rotation isn’t made clear in the guide so it could be improved in this manner. Casting those other skills before going into DS after dropping your wells means you’re missing out on the crit boost.
Plague and Lich also give some power boosts to your wells.

Season 2 HoD was a T2 server stuck in Silver.
It looks like Maguma is doing the same thing.
When a server loses a bunch of guilds and players to other servers before a match, why on earth is it considered tanking? True tanking is when you still have your guilds and they purposely choose not to play.
I’m confused Chaba-san, are you not an advocate of players leaving SoS and being active on other servers? IoJ doesn’t exactly have spikes in ppt, take a look at the last few weeks of match ups.
That’s interesting. What happened to their OCX? They were rather strong during S2.
It’s the rewards. Or rather the relative lack thereof.
I’ll never understand the OCX player who considers transferring to another server with best-in-tier OCX coverage, especially when looking to defend/havoc.
My recommendation is to scope out the average PPT of a server during your timezone and find a match that has relatively even PPT during it.
This was news to me. I am more inclined to try Overwolf now.
BUS’s goal was to paper everything, not just cap paper stuff. We worked on cutting off all supply lines, then slowly breaking down a fortified keep/garrison to end up taking it and papering it. It was all about taking their shiny and breaking waypoints… thats it. That was our fun.
And by “they” he means FA’s home bl waypoints, which pulled FA off of SoSBL and EBG time and time again, giving the night time SoS blob free reign.
Guilds may come and go, but that means a greater opportunity for you.
If you’re a guild looking to come for the great mix of playstyles in Tier 2, Fort Aspenwood is your viable choice. FA’s best timezones for getting fights are SEA, OCX, and NA. SoS does not have much of an EU presence and the effect of guilds having left Maguuma remains to be seen.
Makes sense. That’s how Turtleguuma started.
Some people find fun in doing the “work” to make a server better.

The tag teaming from SoS and FA finished it and made the last few guilds wave their white flag and leave.
Please don’t turn this into a match thread. BUS and WaR spent a lot of time focusing on FABL the past two matches and FA would have to consistently pull forces off SoSBL and EBG to deal with them.
LOL is this a zeitgeist trend? I just spent two weeks on SoS and transferred to TC last night on my “tour”. Set your own criteria. I’d like to see a few of the tiers and then EU. Each server I pick I usually have a contact there. I won’t be visiting as many as you probably since I’m not deleting any toons.
It is highly disingenuous for SmoothHussler to complain about both power creep and ferocity nerf at the same time. I hate the power creep myself and am glad it takes longer to kill people when the creep is rolled back some.

FA’s main OCX guild is PvX and doesn’t raid in WvW every night.

SoS did an amazing job of keeping their Australian (of course not forgetting their benevolent S-E Asians) crew because they weren’t forced into being told what to do and how to play.
Not really sure what this means. I’m pretty sure FA didn’t tell their OCX what to do and how to play. It’s depressing to OCX players to log in and find they don’t own anything on a map and have to rebuild rather than finding good fights.
Change happens. Deal with it.
The current state of the GvG scene, as seen from the outside, looks as if one were to take all the best players in the NHL and stack them onto a single team. It’s akin to server stacking for a PPT win. That’s the effect of having no real league system where the number of teams are limited and the process of player additions is controlled, as what would be expected from a game mode for this. So unless GvG guilds are willing to compensate this lack of a game mode by agreeing to do NORMAL STUFF that professional sports leagues do, they will continue to create their ded gaem.

I think this is only an NA phenomenon.
The NA servers in T1 consists of a number of countries outside of the NA timezone.
The main issue with GvG is not about if you playing gw2 Eu,China or NA. It is about support for GvG in the game.
That’s true, I’d love to see a GvG mode myself, but my comment was more in reference to “not enough actual WvW”. It is regular WvW raiding that gave birth to the GW2 GvG. WvW was the lifeblood of developing the players to do GvGs. It takes time and good coaching to develop players, work no one seems to want to do anymore. Which is fine. That’s change.

Players who have traditionally focused more on the small-scale fights aspect of the game and less on mass-murdering and PPT were less efficient at gaining WXP for the amount of time spent in WvW.
Just remember, guys. You heard it here first. Players asking for some sort of trap that affects siege. Do you want a trap that destroys your siege (like retaliation) or disables it momentarily? I hope there’s some sort of debuff at least so that the disablement trap can’t be spammed on siege already disabled.
Have you not seen the Charr tanks in PvE? Those are perfect anti-zerg weapons. Just run ppl over. WTB.
Colored commander tags are a QoL improvement. Kind of baffling why we’ll have to pay for new colors. I play WvW where the rewards are kitteny and the siege is pricy. I don’t grind for gold in PvE. Maybe, just maybe rewards are being boosted in WvW along with this.

I’d pay gems for commander icon skins (not colors), like armor skins and finishers.
There’s a little bit more to it besides just winning.
- Plan on a regular time that you will pugmand and stay CONSISTENT with it. This follow through is the most important thing of any organizational endeavor. It may require a little research into the ideal time for both you and your server.
- Start in EB because that’s where most pugs go.
- In the first week you start, go all out. Do semi-marathon commanding sessions to get your name out there. Start a little earlier than you normally plan to in order to gather a group together. Pugs follow zergs that have followers. If you have a group of followers already, people at your planned rally time have more incentive to follow.
- In order to develop a group of followers, make it easy for people to follow you. Always rally at a waypoint and give people 30s to rally.
- Never complain about lack of followers. It’s depressing and drives people away.
Remember, skills aren’t balanced around WvW-size zergs. They nerfed confusion and retaliation in WvW as a band-aid attempt when the real issue was how it procs on specific skills. Not sure I have a lot of faith in a real fix.

Yep, let’s be honest about what it meant by “good at zerging”. It means how spammable and low risk are the AoE skills.
Yes, because everything just hits once ever.
“Multi-hit” refers to how many times a skill puts out (or procs?) damage. Not every multi-hit skill has a PBAoE mechanic and not every PBAoE skill has a multi-hit component.
For example, warrior rifle Volley does direct damage 5x against a single target. Aegis would block the first hit from Volley while Retaliation would proc the remaining hits. A multiple target AoE skill like Mark of Blood (assuming no Greater Marks trait) only hits once. That single hit can be blocked with Aegis and no retaliation would even proc, theoretically.
It’s more of an anti-multi-hit mechanic.
West Coast NA players need to step up and organize late night guilds to end the late night PvD. We seem to rely too much on pugging after EST guilds end their raids. Join two guilds: one for EST and one for late night! Both TLC and WS are late night fights-oriented guilds on FA.

What do you mean by “competitive PvP”?
During that time, T2 has WS, TLC, and now XT on FA. I see BUS on Maguuma but they are more PPT rather than PvP. SoS doesn’t seem to have any late night guilds so all we see most of the time are a pug blob.

Yes of course, but then you become totally useless yet again in the zerg, or end up doing something worse than what some other class can offer. The engi as it currently is does not have his place in the zerg.
That doesn’t really have anything to do with the way retaliation procs on certain skills, which would alleviate the problem of spamming FT #1. Engineer was never meant to be a specialist like the other classes. His only specialty is diversity. And engineer kits were never really meant to replace the main weapon, but supplement them, which is why FT was always used more for utility than damage.

until then playing engi well will be too hard for the majority of the ‘spam 1’ brigade.
Grenades and bombs are pretty easy these days for the “spam 1” brigade. This must be why the flamethrower doesn’t get much love. It isn’t friendly to spamming 1. Oh I can picture the lulz already when more people try FT after that dmg increase gets patched in.
Answer for the OP: there’s quite a few old threads in the engineer sub-forum regarding how retal proc’s on flamethrower, grenade barrage, and a few other non-engineer skills. To make engineer good/better at zerging, fix that issue.

Sounds like bad player/build tbh since the same retal problem occurs with grenades.
Both have problems with retal, however significantly more so with flamethrower because the 1 skill procs more retal (up to 50 procs) and you have to be much closer (425 range vs 1500), meaning you will probably be taking more damage from other sources as well. Also if you’re running flamethrower you’ll want to take deadly mixture, so you probably won’t have backpack regenerator like you would with grenades.
Speaking as someone who has run a flamethrower build in both GvG and open field melee train, I can assure you that the worst of your problems isn’t the retal, which can be mitigated even without backpack regenerator. That said, the way retal procs on a few of these multi-hit skills does need addressing. (And 50x procs, that’s wrong. FT #1 cone is limited to 3 targets, assuming those targets even get hit for the full 10×. It’s quite comparable to each grenade in Grenade Barrage proccing off 5 targets each.)
