holograph mob bugs in the center of the last boss fight resulting in a wipe. Me and my team also got randomly teleported by the generators. And the rewards aren’t very pleasant.

Leave the clock tower as it is, best jumping puzzle in the game as of yet. Maybe make other characters semi-transparent though, especially norns lol.

Though it was kinda short, and the rewards were not even worth it. A soulbound exotic that couldn’t be salvaged or thrown in the forge, yay

Bugs that have been reported:

Music too low
Music can’t be heard at all
Certain songs not working
Other people not being able to hear the music

Just to name a few. I really want one but I’m not dropping $10 on something that may not work.

They said a fix is on the way for the low music, yet my boombox is still really low. Can’t believe it’s about to go out of the gemstore and it’s still not working properly yet. gg anet.

Most of those will be due to players having the player music volume setting too low, although there probably will be some actual bugs in it.

No, because when people play horns and other instruments the sound is normal.

I personally don’t think it’s worth it. It doesn’t look that different from Twilight/Sunrise. Might as well gear 2 characters with legendaries, or make a different legendary than 2 Greatswords.

Are people manipulating the market? Or could something else explain why the price for pistol went up? I’d thought it would went down nearing the end of SAB with people putting their remaining stuff on the trading post(lowering the price).

But again it is going up… when I checked greatsword at april it also went up near end of april(then down again later).

Seems like someone with lot of gold is buying the cheaper stuff and putting it at higher price at the tp cause he is hoping to make a lot of money when SAB gets removed and people want to buy skins?

No, this is normal. It happens at EVERY event. Learn to love it. I’m not too sure about the reasoning, but I think it has to do with the “limited time only items will never be obtainable again, I MUST BUY ALL AND SELL FOR LOTS OF GOLD IN A FEW MONTHS”.

Of course after the event goes away people panic sell, because they see the price going down a bit. Then more and more people unload their skins and price comes down to the original price it was during the event.

Before event ends price always goes up, after the event ends price goes down.

On the cost of making ascended…
I’m fine with it because after you have your exotics… what do you really have to spend your resources on? Mats, gold, karma just pile up and there is nothing to work towards.

Really, if you got all exotics, ascended trinkets, whatever you really do not have to spend gold on anything. When I was making my Legendary I rarely had more that 10g in bank now I am spending 30-40g every couple of days on gems and gear for alts.

Oh yeah, because getting prestige (rare) skins and alts don’t cost gold at all.

That is the problem.. YOU should not have to be in TS organized to do this… thats just asinine on Anets part. What if people don’t have vent or TS… I should not in any ANY fashion take pugs that much coordination to kill him.. you are just going to drive more people away doing that.

Amen! I can’t stand TS or Vent. I find way too many wantabe commanders (which most of the time are kids) and peole tend to fight out the mics and I can’t hear a lick of anything important like “It’s about the breath, get out of it’s way!” You know.. the GAME audio. Just saying. If TS or Vent is required, will that’s a large fraction of player you just lost. Map chat is fine enough for me.

That’s the problem, for difficult content map chat is not fine. Any difficult content in other games (especially PvP) is played along side of Vent/TS for better communication. It’s almost necessary and I find that enjoyable, because if you didn’t need it, the content would be a cakewalk with people just zerging and spamming skill #1 without the need for communication.

And you obviously have bad experiences with TS if you only have wannabe leaders trying to communicate and everyone just shouting at eachother. I can understand that the experience would not be very fun. A successful gathering is when EXPERIENCED players take control and start organizing for players that are less experienced and assigns tasks for them.

This is the most fun I had in-game since I got my first character to level 80, and I’m sure others would agree with me. Challenging content is fun.

I think he’s fine. He can be killed if you have an organised group, and it’s fun to do as a guild event or something.

Sure, after you all wait around for 8 hours to get everybody into the same map.

We just all guested to a low populated server, I know it’s not ideal and there should be a fix for overflows (Tequatl instanced?). But it’s all we have atm.

I agree and disagree with this. I’ll agree because for open world content he is way too hard. Open world should be about a place where everyone can just join and fight and stand a chance.

I disagree however because this game seriously lacked hard and challenging content, this tequatl revamp is amazing in that it attracts the hardcore players like me who enjoy a good challenge. I’ve stated in other threads though that he should be an instance and not part of the open world, this would also fix all other problems problems atm like overflows, leechers, afk’s, and clueless people on turrets.

I can say with 99.9% certainty that the encounter will be adjusted based on feedback and observation, like almost everything else is in an MMO.

Any adjustments whose purpose is to make it easier, or just as a side effect makes it easier, will be called “nerfs” and the people who feel they deserve a cookie because they have done it now will complain.

But it doesn’t change anything… I don’t think anybody is doing it with less than over the soft cap in the zone, right? So at the very least, scaling adjustments will have to eventually come, whether it is days, weeks, or months from now? If they do not, the content will become not doable by most servers on off-hours or in overflows (it may already be that…)

If everybody does the encounter in the ‘one way’ which seems to be popular (stack a zerg and exploit multiple hit boxes)…. I wouldn’t be surprised if they make other changes to the encounter. (Or at least, the next boss they upgrade they’ll be even more careful in their attempt to make it not about stacking…)

I agree with the fact that he needs better scaling so that 30-40 people can still take him down.

I agree, Ascended crafting costs way too much atm, there should be an easier way to get the Ascended weapons you need to gear your character+alts. So yes, I agree, Tequatl is very unrewarding for the amount of effort required to kill him. The greens and 2 rares I got were very disappointing.

I like Tequatl, the timer is kinda meh, but I just hate the way overflows are handled at the moment. It’s impossible to join your main server even if you wait hours in an overflow.

The entire overflow system is bogus, I’ve been trying to enter my main server for 4 hours now while I’m stuck idling on an overflow. I’m beginning to think I’ll never get in.

There’s also the chance that this year a different item may drop or fragments of candy corn. In GW1 holiday component drops did not always stay the same during the first few years.

In which case the price might just shoot back up.

I think a problem with making SB, Maw, and FE too tough is that those are in the starter zones. For new players, you don’t want to make these first encounters with a world boss too hard.

Other than that, let’s Get it ON!

That shouldn’t matter, it’s kinda epic to die horribly to a world boss when you just start the game and getting the feeling that he’s too high level for you and you have to come back later to kill him.

A dev actually stated that the wurm shortcut IS supposed to work in TM, but the Eagle shortcut isn’t. The Eagle won’t allow shortcuts because he’s an “eagle of justice, and taking a shortcut isn’t very justice-y”.

I dunno, the sheer amount of reflects you can chain (since pugs aren’t going to LoS and burst behind a wall of reflection) is a life saver in my experience.

If you’re talking about pure pug runs, it could be, but the problem that mesmers encounter in fractals is that a lot of time is spent on cleaving trash and their dps there is basically non existent (since mes dps = phantasm = they disappear after cast or when target dies = useless on endless waves of trash). Certainly I never felt thankful for a mesmer in the party when we hit things like the dredge fractal.

Been a while since I’ve ran dem fractals but everytime I went with a full dps group for a 48 (as opposed to taking something like mes that is really there mostly for the utility) it always went better. You can almost taste the joy when you do the dredge cart if your group is bringing the deeps. And I almost always got the dredge fractal when I ran fotm so..
Guardians bring both the utility and the dps. The mes doesn’t really have a place there.

lol, I dunno what Mesmers you’ve been playing with, but they sound pretty fail. Do they all stay in GS or Staff all the time?

Sword DPS is pretty kitten high (3rd highest in the game after Warrior/Thief), also most Phantasms do AoE damage. Focus can pull all mobs on 1 spot making them easily susceptible for AoE damage.

That being said, Guardian has way more and better reflect skills than Mesmer. On lvl 48 Volcanic Fractal it’s pretty much a must. It’s almost impossible to do Volcanic Fractal without reflects with pugs.

Legendary’s don’t show anything,you can buy them off the TP,you have to put the time in if you want Ascended weapons.

But both of them will be played out,well Legendary’s are already played out.

Yeah, if you have ~1500g laying around, sure, you can buy legendaries straight up.

I have the same thing, random insta-death for no reason. But it’s always at the same point near the end. When I hop over the entire ground area I skip it though. Maybe try remembering where you keep dying and then jump over that part, even though you can’t see anything lethal there.

Totally agree with the alt hating. I have 8 level 80 characters, all with fully exotic. I was so glad when I farmed my kitten of to get them all with the latest gear.

Then fractal of the mists came, it was impossible to gear them all with ascended rings due to the bad RNG and never getting the rings I needed. Then the Amulet’s came, and I needed like ~300 laurels to gear them all. Which would take me like a year.

That’s basically where I gave up. I haven’t even tried getting ascended weapons yet, 200g just to level crafting and then I have to gather the mats for ~5 weapons per character, spread out across 8 characters? (=40 ascended weapons). Yeah right. To do that I either have to farm 24/7, or spend all my salary on gems. A little farming is cool, but this is just insane. A new tier is fine and all, but what’s up with the costs in making it? The average player has 50-100g at best. They can’t even equip 1 character with a full set of the latest gear, let alone gear multiple. And what will armor cost? 200g+ per piece?

In gw1 it was easy to have alts. Max armor/weps were reasonably priced. And all the really expensive stuff was purely cosmetics. I don’t see why they changed so much from gw1 to gw2. This game had so much potential and it has become this big grindfest. It almost feels like having a second job sometimes.

SAB difficulty in future

I’m hoping it will, personally. I liked the original world 2, but I get why it was made easier.

Josh has already confirmed he won’t make the world 3 and 4 zones as long as world 2’s, which I think will help. People will hopefully appreciate the difficulty more if the worlds are shorter and have less buggy mechanics.

Still, so long as Josh and the SAB team introduce new mechanics unique to each world, I won’t mind too much.

Following the old tropes of classic platformers, I’m expecting a lava zone, which I think will bring its own difficulty. If they can pull a mario and make the environmental objects around huge for one zone, that’ll be appreciated (kinda like the Wintersday jumping puzzle).

I’m also expecting some projectiles from walls that fire fireballs at you, and some form of environmental hazard that rotates and takes some jump timing to avoid.

Less lengthy, more difficult zones are definitely welcomed with open arms. I don’t mind if the zone is near impossible if it’s short. The difficulty and length should be in equal proportion.

w1z1 length + w2z3 difficulty = win.

Bug SAB World 2 Zone 2

So I had this bug just now in zone 2 world 2, the last cloud checkpoint didnt work, and the checkpoint before that with the spikes behind the spawnzone with the assassin kept spawnkilling me, the only thing that saved me was that split second of spawn protection that i could sometimes use (didnt work half the time) to jump slightly forward so i wouldnt be standing on the spikes, where i spawned. so everytme i died after the cloud checkpoint, i kept respawning at the spike checkpoint, having to run from there all the way to the end boss without dieing. I don’t know if it was a bug, but it took me over an hour to clear that, glad i got my coin, but I just wanted to see if anyone else had this bug

This bug is in tribulation mode, and it’s universal. Everyone has it. Everyone has posted about it.
1. The spike trap kills you an extra time when you respawn, resulting in 2 lives lost.
2. The checkpoint ahead is bugged and doesn’t work.

Sorry to go off-topic. Being on-topic, it also sounds like dart traps to me. But seeing as you’ve done w2z2 before, you’re aware of the dart traps, so you’re right. It might be a glitch.

Huh? The Phantasmal Warden is supposed to be a stationary Phantasm. It is the most damaging Phantasm, hence the downside of it not following the target.

It shouldn’t follow a target at all. That’s the actual bug. :P

I always hated this since release, why can’t they just fix it so it stacks with others, but not with itself? Giving it an internal cooldown on itself only. This would fix the bug and the possible exploit of stacking infinite swiftness.

I’ve always hated this, I just always thought it was meant to do that. It would be SOOOOOOO much better if it would just get summoned on the targeted enemy. That’s who you want the clones on anyway, at least then you have control over who you summon your clones on.
