I did not find the changes fun and with how easy it is for the boss on path 2 to get stuck when it got changed, I haven’t set foot back in there.
I’m going to just start keeping a zerk set to ping. Won’t use it since I’d rather use something else but I’ll still have a set to ping. Some of the stuff I have is zerk so won’t take too much space up.
Stack might on the commander when we are standing around doing nothing.
I’m fine with it.
It is more of a bonus to get and not everyone wants to do everything on that list so some things may take longer depending upon the player.
Apparently wvw is a good place to farm veterans and events.
I suspect that ANet’s real April Fool is putting 150 audio logs in as a monthly…
Worm area in caledon forest has those living oaks. 3 typically spawn in that area fairly frequiently and you also get to work on the plant slayer achievement if you need it.
Citadel of Flame dungeon path 1 farm.
The point is there is no motivation for people to sit at a camp but tons to follow the mindless horde bashing down gates. 13 structures plus quaggons to manage on a borderland map and there is more reason to let them flip then to defend them. If you let them flip you get Wxp to get them back and I dont want to hear about the greater good of the server because that isnt going to happen. People do stuff for the prize nothing else and right now the only prize is wxp.
It depends on what the goal is.
I know that when we are trying to get upgrades, we will hold a camp.
If we have a wp and reinforced walls done, upgraded camps don’t quite matter as much.
Not everyone plays for karma or wxp.
They are made of wood. Reinforcing is metal straps on the other side with a big log holding them together(at least what it should look like but it doesnt.)
I have a axe. My axe can chop wood just as easily as flesh. My axe should be able to cut a hole in the gate. My axe won’t work as well against stone, likely break on stone.
I want to be able to sap the walls and dig tunnels.
Really, if you take a shot from any ballista shot, you should be dead. Pretty big bolt going through you.
Same should go for all siege lobbing very large projectiles.
I don’t think it is intended, probably still trying to work out this bug.
They did finally make cats stop working on people on the other side of the door, just took them a while. This is probably a difficult issue also.
People still do it, even in when they can’t win by any other means other than to cheat.
Man, the news I got.
I heard all these guilds are leaving JQ. I woudln’t mind seeing them bumped into T2.
Hey, there is some more news. Did you all hear about the SoR guilds leaving.
Man, since these guilds are leaving these servers, these servers must not have as tight a community as they claim.
See how easy that is.
As far as Agg and FoE, they stated they didn’t like the play in T1. It wasn’t server. Get your facts straight.
I never really understand these threads. They make me wonder if T2 is the only tier that has both zergs and small groups. Generally, my guild runs both a zerg groups and numerous small groups(disruption – for taking camps and defense groups.)
Why can’t there be both? Sometimes there is a zerg of 60 but usually less. The other small groups run around and take smaller objectives and defend camps/towers. These groups sometimes run into a zerg and get rolled, but there are times when they have small skirmishes as well.
I think the point of WvW is you should have some of each, a big zerg to cap towers/keeps and smaller groups to take camps and sometimes a tower. Would it really make sense if you could just run around and cap keeps with like 5 people. It seems to me you would need an army to do this.
I see it in T1 also so I don’t really understand why people claim that T1 is 24h zerg. That just doesn’t happen. We do ball up when it is needed but we do split to get something done.
No.. read the topic..
I did and now you are insulting my intelligence.
Shall I start on yours?
You cannot deny that you do not like zergs and if you try you are a liar. The OP reeks of it, hence the format you choose.
Try again.
Gates should absolutely go down quick to a zerg if you are not there to defend.
No one to not enought to use siege on the rams is your sides fault.
You can say this but the end result is going to be mindless zergs following each other around the map capping each other in rotation because there simply aren’t enough players willing to sit in a tower waiting for an attack to arrive, getting no rewards while everyone else is speeding towards realm rank 100 and getting a ton of loot in the circular zerg.
People WILL rush to the defense of a tower that’s under attack but when zergs break through reinforced doors in under 60 seconds, there’s no time.
“Small group play” in context of WvW really means “PvDoor”. Either there’s enough time for defense to show up or you are just avoiding PvP.
If you people are not setting up scouts to defend a target, it is your fault.
We had perm scouts in SoR hills all weekend and I don’t think it flipped more than once.
Your server organization is the problem. You need to set up a schedule and have everyone rotate through that assignment. If your server doesn’t care to do that, your server doesn’t want to win.
This isn’t a ANet needs to fix problem, this is a player mentality problem.
If you want to argue that there should be rewards for scouting, yea, I can agree with that. That job is a bore and not very profitable but that is a different matter.
Again.. you’re missing the point.
Your point is you don’t like zergs.
I wouldn’t mind getting WXP for paying for a camp/tower/keep/SM upgrade. Might encourage others to chip in with their own gold.
Not sure about building siege. Wouldn’t mind so much but as been said, you’ll probably get people emptying supplies and siege capping a area with useless siege unless you get your stuff in first. Maybe require the players to hold on to the supply for a certain amount of time before it becomes available for WXP. Distance from south of bay/hills to bay/hills. If people have to run around with it before using it, could possibly keep others from just draining supply. Could limit the amount of WXP for such a action in a 24h period. If you’ve built 10 siege or used the amount to build say 10 golams in a 24h period, you won’t get WXP for it until it get’s reset to the next cycle.
Gates should absolutely go down quick to a zerg if you are not there to defend.

Again; this is to remind to you that this topic aims to address the general direction of which ANet would like to take GW2. Not just concrete solutions.
They already said they view WvW as large forces fighting, not small scale teams.
What really needs to change?
Bumpity for some dev lunch time reading.
Bumpity for some dev lunch time reading.
I like the dungeons in DDO much better.
I do like the open world PvE in this game however. Very well done.
They annoy me.
I only do whatever is listed to get it out of my screen.
confirming I’d kill for a crewable air ship. Give us some zones in the sky, even in wvw.
Air and water battles.
Players manning pact type subs and ships. This could go somewhere.
Any response on ANet regarding how they view this issue?
They have stated that they view WvW as a large scale combat so I’d bet they are fine with it. I don’t feel like finding the link but it was on these forums.
I would assume that if something like this was implemented it would be added with a pretty large storage cap, just like gold, gems and i assume laurels (since none has gotten enough to see how many you can hold.)
I’m just adding onto a storage suggestion.
Badges, tokens, extra crafting mats are all cluttering and I’d like to be able to clean that all up.
Yes.
Badges from WvW also.
I’d also like a option to purchase a larger stack for my storage. It only holds 250 and I’d like to up that to 1000.
I want a charcopter or one of those air ships and both of them need to be fully armed for my destruction pleasure.
Some great ideas, especially the waypoint. Would also suggest that Anet fix Warrior Banners and other rezzing mechanics, the ability to instantly rez a keep lord is far too powerful. Fighting for an hour inside garrison can be very frustrating after the 20th insta rez.
I have no problems with it especially when I’m the one frustrating the other side by rezzing that lord. This should stay as it is. You want that garrison, you need to make sure the lord stays dead.
I think it is fine.
I wouldn’t oppose to having it placed in the #4 skill slot but even still, I’m fine with it as it is.
Right after the patch, I logged in to check and see what culling would do to my system. Happy to know it didn’t cause any problems. I was also heading toward my guild leader who was also commanding and I was able to see that entire JQ zerg chasing him and I was able to avoid that fate.
That fight last night on SoR BL in ruins was a blast without all that culling.
Both sides were sieging up along the water west side, placing siege south and and kept pushing from both directions.
A grand fun time being able to see EVERY PLAYER THERE. Loved it.
Haven’t played much W3 since the patch but I’m so glad culling was over.
Problem with it on your back is you have to swap to it to get those skills. If you do not require that to happen, a warrior will be able to have that rush skill as well as any swiftness skill always on demand.
While I wouldn’t mind having a banner on my back, I think that to have that option always available without requiring you to stow your weapon or pick up your banner would make warrior a bit over the top.
That would be like having a 3rd weapon. Currently I carry sword/horn in my second set. If the banner on the back with skills avaiable option, I’d drop that sword/horn in a heartbeat and banner it up and slot in a mace/mace with my hammer so I can perma stun any time I 1v1 because I’d have my banner for mobility always on, even while fighting.
Other than the skill lag, I have no problems with zerg fighting.
They can be fun. I like seeing the other zerg split and try to hit from 2 different directions.
Other than skill lag, there is nothing wrong with the zerg. You antizerg people may have issues but that is your personal problem. Quit trying to take away any fun I’m having. If you don’t want to run in such a large group, no one is stopping you from breaking up into smaller group. If you can’t deal with a larger force, that is your problem.
Don’t put any stupid penalties just because a bunch of players decided to group together to deal with something, that is the most moronic thing anyone can suggest.
If you want small fights, you have sPvP. If you want large than that, schedule one of those GvG fights. Don’t want to do that but change the game and take away my fun just because you think it would be better, kitten off.

Not until I use up my snowman finishers.
Even then, I kind of like them.
None of them need nerfed or changed really.
Put a variety of finishers in the gem shop.
(edited by CreativeAnarchy.6324)
Put some in the gem store so I can rank up my WvW skills quicker.
I would like to see the cool down displayed of the trait if it went off.
For example, I run last stand on my warrior. I know when it procs since I can see the stability, but I don’t know how long it is on cool down. It is a 60 second cool down but it is easy to loose track of time when fighting.
So, when someone does some CC to activate my last stand, I would like to see a place on my screen where I can monitor the trait’s cool down, much like I can see my skills cool down.
You don’t need full PVT to be front line but you also can’t be glass cannon.
Having run full cleric on a shout hammer build, I’m reducing some of the cleric and adding in zerker with a backpiece will the only PvT(started fractals the other day for the first time.) I’m reducing by one piece at a time and testing to see how well it works out.
0/10/30/30/0. Soldier runes. My armor is down to just over 3k. Shouts still heal for over 2k. My hits are close to 1k per hit, I can crit for about 3k. I use mago pie and superior oil. Great justice or any other skill that will give you 20% crit will put your crit chance just under 50% with 4 pieces of zerk. Damage isn’t that great solo but with a group with buffs, it goes up.
This build is pretty sick. You can zerg surf with this one. When you are running with a group that can provide fields to buff in, it just gets better. One problem though, I’m pretty sure the other side has gotten used to me and either just leaves me alone until the rest of my side is wiped, or they jump on me and get me out of the way. If they don’t do either, I will smash and cc till they are dead. Getting adrenaline on hit fills up my earthsaker real fast so I can hit that every 8 seconds.
If you want your shouts to heal, you’ll want some cleric. On my PvE build, the trinkets are cleric and shout heal for over 1k but not quite 1500.
I wouldn’t look at toughness as a target to strive for, more like how much armor instead.
I think some just don’t care to go to forums while others are opiniated and will visit often.
I’d like a in game LFG tool that works.
One that when the group gets full, it gets removed from the lising. gw2lfg need the players to do that themselves up to 30 minutes. I know that some groups are not full after waiting for a few minutes but most players I don’t think bother if the lfm is older than one minute.
I don’t need it to do anything other than let me click on a group listing and wait for them to accept or decline me.
Just need the dungeon or event to be listable, even have a comment section if events are not listed such as getting a group for a temple on a certain server. Icons for the professions that the leader may specificaly be looking to have. Doesn’t need to do much more than that for me.

I would say the transfer option is more for the queue issue. Something I don’t think really can be fixed in any tier if your server has more on when you want to play.
Yeah apart from eternal, the rest is very easy, no need to fight. Map positions rotate and off hours are the best times to do it, or late peak. Gotta wait for cap to get eternal, if your server can.
Map positons don’t rotate unless you are saying that various servers take other positions which can vary if your server desides to take hills or not.
Not possible.
You have to do too much.
I only level doing map completion and I cap at a bit over half way through and I run past everything that I can and only do what is necessary.
I don’t think I should have to do PvE for my world completion. Why do I have to do PvE maps instead of just the WvW map? I think they should only limit it to WvW maps for completion and not all that other stuff.
Get some people together and take the objective.
As far as the WP thing, they also need to make it so a single thief cannot keep that WP contested like they do now otherwise building a WP will be wasted gold since a single thief can keep hitting that door to make it contested.
(edited by CreativeAnarchy.6324)
Dowened to dead.
I would say it depends upon where you are at. If you are defending the 2 north towers on your bl, I would just respawn and run back. Distance isn’t too far and you can sometimes come upon the force getting ready to push from the outside. Garrison I would often run back but that fight can be tricky. Sometimes we can res someone, sometimes we can’t. If the commandar says WP and run back, you should do just that.
If you are on the fartherest part of the map and die, hopefully your side wins that fight to get a res.
Some servers have a community TS/Vent/Mumble. Get in there and listen to what is going on. It will help you understand the intentions of the commander.
The problem is:
- Zergs can bash down doors faster than defense can show up
- Standing idle on defense is hard to do when you know you could be out there zerging for gold, karma, XP and realm points.
- Supply camps are indefensible versus zergs. 5 people can’t even slow down 40+.
I would start fixing this by removing golems from the game and making rams cost 100 supply, in order to make it harder for a zerg to swiftly bash down doors.
Gates should absolutely go down quick to a zerg if you are not there to defend.
No one to not enought to use siege on the rams is your sides fault.
We’ve been dropping arrow carts in front of gates to destroy siege inside towers since beta. I just assume that is working as intended. They recently changed catas to not be able to hurt rams but left arrow carts out of the LOS checks, I assume because they shoot up and rain down from above and as such don’t need LOS.
There aren’t a lot of abilities that do what the Original Poster is showing. Mesmer greatsword 4 used to work exactly the same way and it was fixed. Now Elementalist Scepter 2 is the only one left I know about.
I have no problem with arrow carts going up and over, just wish the arrows would hit the celing if there is one over it instead of continuing over.
Agreed. Once a character is leveled enough to have a lot of stuff, I never bother with the hero equipment panel. Instead I keep my swap-out gear in a specific location in my bags and get it from there.
I tried that but I was trying to equip a off hand ax but had a horn in there since my second set is typically sword/horn. Kept swapping the one in the main hand and wouldn’t go to the offhand.
I would like to have the equipment that is available to be organized instead of in one big box.
They are jumbled now and trying to pick out a weapon can be difficult if I needed to swap to a ranged for something.
Bumppity.
Trying to spend over 100k karma on some steins of golden ale and I dearly wish I had the option to purchase this in bulk.
Go to your achievements page and there’s a dropdown list of all of your titles. You can select one from there.
Thank you. I’ll have to go look again. I missed it.
