I am totally ok with the other team building cats or trebs to range down the gate or walls. That would be awesome, and totally fair. I just hated that they could run up and bang on our gate for about sixty seconds, drop a flame ram, then charge in like it was nothing. I want either gates to be stronger, or for there to be away to force the enemy to try a non mindless approach.

I don’t think arrow carts are the end all of siege that many on the forums claim and they will be adjusted, and probably trebs and cats will end up with some kind of wxp enhancements.

I don’t think that walls or doors have enough HP putting down enough siege to burn it down.

I’ve seen as many as 5 rams built on a gate. Then there are golem rushes.

Other tiers may get some of what you want, I think at some point they’ll end up with a zerg and people will end up leaving because the server will turn into something that they don’t want with the transfers they get unless the players knew how balanced the various servers are in population.

In any tier, the long term efforts of any size team can still be rendered pointless by a small team.

Most likely, you didn’t have to deal with that zerg early because they were dealing with the BG zerg.

Sometimes, if a server is dead set on defending just their corner, they will break off from what they are doing to crush any hope of taking anything in the corner of the map, regardless of how small or big the group attacking is.

At some point, the servers in the lower tiers are going to be stacked because they’ll end up with so many people wanting to do small team stuff, they’ll end up with so many transfers that they’ll end up having to zerg to deal with the other servers zerg since they also got transfers looking for small team combat but when map chat says garrison 15+ so they’ll send a force large enought to deal with that, then the other server decides to attack with a larger force and we will repeat.

I suppose, but there is a difference between a zerg that 5 people can defend from and one where that many people would just get destroyed. So the question remains: At what tier could five people have held off an enemy’s zerg? This could depend even on the power of arrow carts, but where do five people on arrow carts begin to cause zergs to take caution?

I wouldn’t get too on arrow carts at the monent, they are going to be adjusted, has been state and is in testing. Not sure what will be adjusted.

It also depends upon the opponent.

I don’t blink at arrow carts that much. My character is a tank and still doesn’t take much damage from them. If you are defending against a tanky zerg, they won’t blink as much. Once they see they can’t get your arrow carts and fail at a ram, they can then range with cats or trebs. Then you have to deal with that and it all depends upon how your small team is able to handle a large team or zerg.

People being able to res through the gate.

Seen a flaming guild on reset from a certain stone quarry that ressed their mes through the north inner garrison gate. A whole bunch of them died at the gate on purpose just to do this. We were still defending, still wiped their portal in, but it is still stupid.

I bought one because I don’t like having to swap out my mithral for the orichalcum for those very few nodes(extremely rare in WvW) that need the highest quality pick.

I didn’t really care too much about the cost. I do have a limit but it wasn’t quite there for the pick.

I do like the animation.

Can’t wait for an axe and sickle.

I’d be happy if this buff wasn’t reverted really, but if it’s becoming a huge problem on the higher tiers then maybe it needs to be looked into.

I would like to see how much time is on the cooldown after the trait gets activated. I’d like it displayed in the same line that you see guild boost banners(not too picky on placement, just want to be able to see it without opening the trait pannel.)

Instead of checking why not go take it or help in taking it. It’s not “impossible”. I’ve taken keeps with 5 and another time with 9 people in the past matchup. Granted they were RoF keeps :p
The dzag keep i took with 13 people on friday, fully upgraded.

I will say, getting them isn’t always easy.

I had 2 left for my first character, since got them. One of them was the poi and vista, in overlook. Some objectives are very difficult to just get a group and take.

I managed to get mine after we lost enough rating to end up red.

Every alt I have I got every WvW poi or vista that is behind a door that isn’t briar or lake whenever we gained or lost rating to change color.

What exactly does this let people achieve that they couldn’t without it? Besides from the obvious seeing farther I mean.

You can put a arrow cart right against a wall where they cannot see you and where you wouldn’t be able to see to aim, except with the zoom hack, you can go way back out and hit someone right against the wall where you cannot see them in any normal fasion.

There’s been exactly 220,053 moments and 1/2 when I swung my weapon or used a skill and saw a downed Thief magically appear afterwards.

That’s why I say stealth is fine.

Revealed got reverted to 3 seconds in the last patch. Didn’t feel it needed to be increased in the first place.

Thieves don’t need any kind of nerf.

I’m fine with the damage.

I do agree the range is a bit much.

I will say, I would have rather seen a buff that had some utility skills like leg specialist did before. I wouldn’t mind trading the damage for something like that but other wise, I think the damage is fine.

I really liked the idea behind the living story and I don’t mind having temporary content.

Just didn’t care for how this one was done. Did not feel any kind of immersion and it was kind of meh after killing the boss of Orr(that fight was also kind of meh.)

I did like the dungeon and I thought the boss fight was also pretty good.

There is something wrong when I can stand in them and not die and I’m just using the AOE field to get my adrenaline up so my earthshaker would be ready for the push.

I can stand in the middle of an ele’s meteor shower and not die. Let’s buff that. Oh, and I can take a treb shot to the face and not die. And you can smack my character in the face with a sword and I won’t die. I can take a ballista shot to the chest and not die. I can take several zerker thief heartseekers in a row and not die. For that matter I can take pretty much any attack by any class using any weapon in the whole game and not be killed.

Better just buff everything!

It doesn’t matter that you couldn’t instantly die standing in AC fire. It’s fun/playability that I’m worried about. Realism doesn’t even enter in the equation, and it shouldn’t.

They were BALANCED before. Now they’re heavily unbalanced.

All sieges should be buffed to hit much harder. You should not be able to stand right back up after getting hit with a cat or treb boulder hitting you.

A elementalist had a chance at killing me. At least they could do some damage to me that made it important to get out of the AOE.

You should not be able to stand in AOE and just laugh at it. What is the point of AOE if it doesn’t hurt or make you consider that the spot you are standing in is a bad place.

Is ‘shrug it off’ bugged? I tested it in spvp match with friend and not only did it heal me for 2k (clerics amulet) but also removed the poison and bleed stacks he had on me (soldier runes).

I think runes of the soldier got fixed to allow shouts to remove conditions from others. With the runes, shake it off removes 2 conditions. It will heal if you have the shout healing line available.

I like to play various professions/classes variety. Usually I’m good for about 6 months on one character then I itch to play something a bit different. Eventually, I get the itch to come back to a previous character, especially if I haven’t finished doing with it what I wanted to do.

This time around, I’ll probably play my warrior longer than I usually would but eventually I’ll want to try and play something different.

Shouts can heal for around 2500 with a full set of cleric and the full defense line.

For PvE, I’ll still run 6 pieces of cleric, the chest, legs, feet, 1 trinket, 1 ring, and the amulet. My shouts typically heal for around 1500.

Gives you an idea of what how much you miss between a full set of cleric and a partial set. Granted, the pieces I have cleric on are ones that offer a larger bonus.

It is nice to have, not absolute for PvE but still nice to have but it also just depends upon your build.

That’s irrelevant to the discussion of if the alert system is bad design or not.

The complaint was that you people don’t want to put scouts in structures and you think this change is a bad idea. You are all wrong in that regard.

It doesn’t really change anything except those servers or players that are lazy about guarding their buildings and a small force will be able to ninja you people for being lazy about guarding your stuff.

If you don’t wish to put people in a structure to keep an eye on things, you deserve to loose the keep.

You shouldn’t rely on some white swords to tell you that you have a attack coming.

It also allows small teams to ninja those that don’t wish to place anyone in a structure to keep an eye on things. You deserve to loose if you don’t guard your structures.

The change to the alert system is fine since it will only effect those that play a lesser quality strategy.

lets put it this way… treb/cata… no1 can argue that zerg at door was just unstoppable. now it isnt anymore and its a good thing.

Let me put it this way. Vizunah caps everything at night -> Vizunah has upgraded towers with arrowcarts AND a blob. You can’t zerg the gate. Your countersiege will be derstoyerd by the blob. What are you going to do now?

Get my blob together, wait for them to attack my cats and trebs.

Use arrow carts and ballista on them when they attack my cats and trebs.

Mop up with my blob. This is called farming for bags.

Once we get a hole, we set about clearing siege on inner as best as we can with our own siege and then break in there with another hole.

Once we get inside inner, we build more siege, kill what we can then send a siege suicide force to lords room. We do this till there isn’t any more siege. Wait for a regroup, mop up because they won’t have any supply to build siege with.

I can agree to the HP increase but not damage output. Gates go down really quick when paper and superior siege and will still go down fairly quick even reinforced and you have several superiors. A damage increase would make it a bit silly and we have golems for that.

There should be a new type of ram blueprint to purchase. One that has a roof for just the operator that will protect against arrow carts. It should only protect the operator and protect against arrowcarts.

I’d also like to suggest a siege blueprint that will allow us to place temporary walls. I’d also like them to have separate siege count like rams are supposed to be.

No it should not. What tier are you in? If not enough players are currently doing it right now on many servers that pretty much tells you they don’t enjoy it, why should players in a video game be forced to do something not fun and not enjoyable just because it will help them win? That is backwards logic, ‘we do it to win’.

What next, someone is going to come in and say their favorite part of the game is refereshing siege, no really, they prefer there is a time limit on siege so they can refresh it instead of it staying up like it would, and should, if it the game didn’t have to make compromises for server resources.

People refresh siege because it is necessary yes, same reason most act as sentries. But refreshing siege is necessary because server resources demanded that as a concession for the game to run better. While this is purely an arbitrary choice, that doesn’t have to exist, but does despite that it is looked at as a chore rather than enjoyable to most.

For people that enjoy being sentries, there is nothing stopping them from doing it, and it already gave an advantage like it should as it was. The swords couldn’t tell you how many attackers (could even be more than 25 just not all attacking) what kind of siege was up, what kind of defenses were there, you needed human intel for that, great.

But it shouldn’t be mandatory at every location, and this makes it nearly so. If a zerg hits and you don’t have notification for 30 seconds, good chance you lost it. Especially now with WxP already having made less waypoints and upgrades around most maps.

It should be basic to have a scout at every structure.

Compare those who are for that ac dmg buff and those who are against. Those who are for are completely clueless of how wvw works or worked till now. Please, stop smoking weed, this buff is utter bullkitten, wvw is basicly dead now.

I play more than enough to know that AC did pitiful damage and it needed a huge buff.

Lol, there are a LOT of people that wanted the AC buff (myself included). Siege should hurt, standing in AC’s was like standing in a heavy rain that made one giggle at the idea that it could kill you.

Maybe I won’t be able to dance in them anymore.

I used them to get my adrenaline up. Maybe I’ll have to think about it now(won’t know till I get home from work.)
