Balance. The beauty of pvp is that you can join it at lv 1 and have same stats as everyone else. Amulets are accessible to anyone (with few minimal restrictions). Food on other hand has level restriction, costs gold and would cause stats imbalance, especially low vs high lv characters, rich vs poor.

Moa change: while any nerf is welcome it is definitely not best solution. Elites shouldn’t be affected by CS. That way chrono would be nerfed and not core. Besides good mes don’t use CS for double moa.
Rev staff 5 change: lazy nerf and won’t change reason why revs dominate but better than none.

I can kill (average) mes on thief but only because daredevil has crap load of dodges, interrupts, double plasma with resistance boon, generocity sigil and withdraw clearing torment. I can totally see how it is close to impossible to deal with them on other classes. If team has 2 mes then GG. They will guard every point and condi nuke anyone on map thanks to double portal.
CS shouldn’t affect elites imo and chrono GM trait needs a nerf.

Imo, herald is prime example of excessive animations that could be reduced.
Also, i think it would be all not that bad if HoT didn’t make everything so spammy with lot of AoE. And then we have things like condichrono and reapers with load of AI flooding the screen.

I think competent players only get irritated by high Moa uptime with F5 – which is very likely to be addressed. Everything else is completely manageable for players that understand the strengths/weaknesses that the current meta Chrono build has. I’m starting to see many players in-game catching on to how to dump on this build now. Surprised that Pro league people aren’t bothering.
Because pro players know how to dump on everyone else by playing this build.

Generally though it won’t help thieves at all. I played core build entire season 1 and in season 2 (had to reroll in diamond). Reason why i had to reroll DD is because of revs and scrappers mainly. Anything rev/scrapper farts (passives/active skills) can pretty much 2 shot a thief hence why dodge spam is needed. Then we have 6 sec reveal on 20 sec CD which is absolutely devastating combined with amount of dodges you need to deal with those classes (e.g precision strike follows through stealth)- it made dp/sa pretty much obsolete, imo. Acro is still a joke, i am not even going there.
Even with improv and 50% CD redux on utilities nobody will (be able to) play core in higher divisions. Devs made sure you are a free fodder on core thief to rev/scrappers.
What needs to happen is that pure bonus gives you tools to deal with those issues, e.g. you become immune to reveal applied by enemy and to enemy’s offensive passives.

The core desire behind wanting ranked back sounds like expected player behavior is different in the two arenas. If we enabled ranked in the off-season, would players expect to have a separate mmr from league seasons, or the same?
The same I guess. Good players want to fight other good players. It’s not fun for anyone when they have to fight players far below their own level nor is it fun for the inexperienced and less adequate players to fight people they have little to no chance against. Neither get a chance to learn or practice properly when the match-ups are volatile.

Eh…it’s really just mediocre, leaning towards the weak side.
I think the class is on the right path in terms of having a solid role and identity. It’s a high DPS, high CC potential profession that’s on its way to filling the spot it had back in the Hambow days.
However, there’s still some elements that are keeping warrior in the low mediocre area:
- There’s still a pretty high tradeoff on dps to be able to bring many stuns/knockbacks and many builds end up being too low on CC to be more than a basic damage dealer or too high on CC to be able to help get a kill on a CCed target.
- Mobility is really weak on condi builds.
- Power builds are a bit too low on damage.
- Mesmers and Revenants are still so OP, they make everything else terrible in comparison.
I am scared to think about condi war with high mobility. Really all that needs to be done is nerf to chrono and herald/shiro/sword revs.

Well i think daredevil is a fun series to watch. Bit shallow but esp the second season is nice and grim which is nice if compared to the avg super hero series that hit the tele these days.
Teams don’t care about show. They care only about wins. You want to win? Bring rev. We all saw what happend when sind, tage and co. played for “fun”.

having done the same, I’m not aware of any LBs that weren’t farms. Old solo/teamqueue boards were mostly just farming terrible players.
In first 1.5 years of gw2? Not really. If you were higher rated you did face good players. My point was, that whole titles/achieves thing is a joke. I think suggestions from all players should be considered as far as vendor goes.

I play daredevil, i get about 6+ dodges and even with those i still eat quite a lot of dmg even if i dodge every single shatter (which is also issue due to AI running at 200% speed and ignoring dodge all together, yes even if you dodge into AI). I can only imagine how terrible it is for classes that have only so many dodges and no perma stab/low CD cleanses.
That is same moronic argument as fighting revs. Just dodge their skills. Too bad you have to dodge literary every single skill or you are screwed.
This post was meant in general, couldve been made from any classes perspective.
The point was:
Lower rated / less experienced players:
- dodge less of your crucial skills
- dont use def cds at the right time
- lack counter pressure.Not a good time to practice a class due to those reasons.

You know what the thing is; im a multiclasser. I want to broaden my kitten nal a bit. Since i didnt play mesmer for a while id like to practice / play vs quality opponents. At legend there will be a must to lock ppl down and force defensives before being able to blow my final load.
The current ppl in unraked:
- Dont dodge in to shatters
- Dont use defensive CDs at the right time or use them too early
- Dont counterpressure hard enough.I can literally just shatter without setup and ppl will die. So its not offering me a realistic practice ground that will be usefull for when the season starts again.
A game without challenge becomes dull fast.

Both sides are true, in part.
The introduction of continuum split turned Moa into a super strong skill of a much lower cd than its original. But nerfing moa directly will result in a bigger nerf to core mes as opposed to chrono.
On the other side, yes moa can already be dodged/blinded/lo’sd etc. But both the visual and the sound queues of this elite are super difficult to make out in the middle of a fight. Try and hear or see the moa over a chaos storm. And 3 clones.
Maybe make continuum split have a cast time (I don’t really quite like that idea myself) or don’t allow for cont split to be cast during other casts or make it more visible/bigger. I dunno something along those lines.That sounds reasonable. Or perhaps make the continuum rift left behind more visible somehow?

Agree completely. Coming from a rank 80 Legendary player with 3k+ Rank & Unranked games under my belt, I would prefer more PvP centric rewords.
What I would like,
- Unlocking long term armor & weapon skins that could be earned through PvP, but can’t be obtainable in PvE.
- Adding additional titles for players who reach 3.5k, 4k, 4.5k games.
- A “prestigue” mode to reset our Ranks back to 1, with a new emblem associated with each prestigue.

I would love to mix and match my Outfit Armor skins.. that would be just awesome. Be cool if we reach a certain requirement in PvP; where we’re alowed to match a single outfit with another one, assuming we already own the outfit in the store. So there’s a long term goal to unlock outfit swaps in pvp, as well as a bigger incentive to buy outfits in the store.
Oh since we are throwing titles lel. Coming from veteran player with 5k+ games, legend season 1&2, top 100 on old non-farm LBs, winner of pugquest: i would REALLY love to gain some pve stuff from pvp so i do NOT have to grind pve non-stop just for skin but rather by doing what i like – pvp. With STYLE!

Generally i would say most core builds are way harder to play than elites.
Mechanically i would say shatter mes and core engi takes skill to play.
Overall (i know it is biased) thief probably takes most skill (taking about high end pvp) – extremely unforgiving class in combat, teams have extremely high expectations from you, as thief you have to have best map awareness and rotation than anyone in match to be effective and that is hardest thing to learn. Class mechanics can be learned and practiced relative fast. To learn proper map rotation and strategy as roamer takes really really long time. The difficulty increases exponentially if you play soloq and not with premade that you can rely on – you need to make up for mistakes of your teammates in soloq and it is close to impossible in many cases as a thief due to their class nature (worst point holder in game, worst support in game, worst dueler in game).

Here is my issue with thief “buffs” in HoT: most of they just help us to kill each other (thieves) faster but didn’t really improve our standing vs other classes at all. We don’t need dmg buffs, we need ways to deal with moronic passives/blocks/invuls and condi spam that Anet handled other classes like candy.

I generally would agree with it but it will never happen. So yeah i would support 1 of each class in conquest. Here are reasons.
I main thief. I watched how this class got ruined by Anet and went from dueling class that was good in 1v1 but not so great in team fights to simply ranger pet status with less survival but more independence. Then Anet brought out xpac. To enhance sales they nerfed the class even more into oblivion so people were forced to reroll revs (thus buy xpac). Results were pretty disgusting.
- you had to reroll revs or get kicked from teams as thief
- in soloq people would cry rivers and harass/report you for botting if you played thief in season 1 and 2
- if team ended up with 2 thieves, non-thieves not only would verbally harass thief players nonstop but also afk/ragequit as “punishment”
- customer support did NOTHING about griefing of thief players, ever. I watched for 2 seasons how people that spammed me with most offensive crap kept playing like nothing happend
- it is also very clear that dev team has 0 interest in making thief class any decent so they can hold ground on their own like other classes. They also have 0 interest nerfing/changing revs that pretty much removed thieves from competitive pvp.
So, to at least decrease amount of player griefing max 1 of each class is necessary since the people that supposed to cure the disease (and get paid for it too) have 0 interest in doing so.
