From me, is the Steam technologies. That kill totally my immersion in a sword & magic world setting, and now we have the dam Batman bike in HoT. Arrrgghhh! :/

You realise not every sword and magic world is set in the iron age. Medieval is very far from what you want to be thinking. Remember the years that came after the iron age in reality would be entirely different if magic existed.

I wonder why Jess Lebow or any of the world designers aren’t listed as writers. How much of this dialog should we strip because they didn’t write it. How much lore do you think is left in the gw1 world that we could explore while still accepting balancing changes. There was nothing left.

Don’t Lyssa Runes also convert conditions to boons?

That gives great access to boon conversion to anybody with a low cooldown elite.

Ouch. Every 45 seconds converting chill stacks into resistance. However I assure you a thief with a 30 second chill becoming a 30 second alacrity is far worse.

It’s a double edge sword. Resistance has to convert to something in order to remove it through conversion. You could make it convert to blind and you will rarely have people getting that much resistance from a conversion. However that means that fury converts to chill, which is OP.

Priority Stealing Resistance?

Bountiful Theft has its own stealing table/order. We’re looking into the possibility of changing it to function similarly to the conversions, but there’s also a chance that we move to “first-in-last-out” in the future as well. The big thing is that we always want to assure benefit, so that you don’t steal the tail-end of swiftness for 0.5 seconds (also, it’s preferable for balance that we don’t let the trait steal minutes worth of specific boons). Here’s the order, Resistance and Slow included:

Aegis
Stability
Protection
Regeneration
Retaliation
Fury
Swiftness
Might
Resistance
Quickness
Vigor (since the trait already gives you this one)

Flanking Strikes still uses the first in last out system and won’t be random, since it’s not a conversion.

Hope this helps,
-Karl

Thanks Karl.

BTW is this the same order for arcane thievery?

Lock on will do is shut down stealth trolling. Couldn’t catch a thief before the speedy kits nerf, no chance now.
So you’d have to rely on the thief being an idiot, or nearby allies, to actually kill the thief.

Also, incomming evade spam builds.

Tell me how it doesn’t shut down all stealth in 1v1. Should they add a 9 second cooldown to swapping kits? Don’t commend any unbalanced change regardless of class.

Temportal Curtain swiftness stack pls!

Daniel Handler.4816

Guys I don’t think you actually want it to stack. Because if you do they have to change it to a pulsing aoe. Which you don’t want. Think if symbol of swiftness were a straight line. There are no exceptions to what stacks and what doesn’t. And that is a good thing.

See my earlier comment please daniel

I explain that because anet already has the capability to individual entity icds for traits and weapon abilities they should just make a icd per player on gaining swiftness from each temporal curatain.

Oh I thought I was also responding to that too. But we can go down this rabbit hole. Not discussing aura or ineptitude because they are activated at range, not by interacting with the aoe. Wall of reflection reflects the bullet back to them and they can dodge, the requirement for these is a player or object has to attempt to move into the radius of the skill.

What do we as players do that aoes don’t do? Move. The aoes that do move are liars and scoundrels as they move along a set path, they do not have free range. So that in mind as we design the ICD for our buffed curtain:

What is the ICD for the curtain? Base duration of swiftness is twelve, duration of curtain is 5. Is the base ICD 1 second? 2? 3? 4? 5?

ICD is 6 seconds to prevent doubling up from one single curtain.

I run through Curtain A then Curtain B then curtain C. I get 36 seconds of swiftness. cd adds up to 75 seconds.

I run through three symbols of swiftness and get 12 seconds of swiftness, for a cd total of 45. I run through three more for 24 seconds of swiftness total cd total 80. I run through three more for… see my drift?

The Pledge

in Mesmer

Posted by: Daniel Handler.4816

Daniel Handler.4816

Why? That is how it works in game at the moment of speaking, and noone even uses the trait!

I agree with you in principle, but math clearly shows the problem here. It’s the potential CD reduction you can achieve that makes this impossible the balance. The fact that the practical use of this pretty much ensures that this will be a huge nerf to this trait, you can’t ignore the potential to reduce the CD by 45%. (And the impact this has on especially TP.)

It’s just bad design. They created the “tech” to vary their CD reductions in this way, and now they want to use it…even with a prybar (to the face). From a balance perspective it’s just better to stick with flat percentages.

It’s absolutely ridiculous to:

1) Presume PU! Since when it Torch something for only PU builds? I see a lot of standard shatter builds using Torch. It’s absolutely fine without PU and thus it’s not good design to basically make the presumption of PU to balance The Pledge. The variable CD reduction are just bad design that will promote cheesy play. (Duck in stealth virtually 75% of the fight or more, while summoning Phantasms & Clones to do the fighting for you.)

2) Assume that even if you have PU, that you’re going to be in stealth basically permanently while in combat. It’s potentially quite OPd to allow a profession/build that much Stealth time, especially one that has access to pets that can attack without breaking the owners stealth. (This will soon be an indirect nerf to PU, you heard it here first!)

So basically it’s potentially quite OPd when (ab)used effectively, and a huge nerf to the existing Torch trait when used “normally.”

I disagree. I think your first paragraph is an example of how they achieved balance. But first

@Quaddox. Inspiration is now super charged at condition removal. All of the condition removal in inspiration is not dependent on utility or weapon set. The other removal traits that work with wells, or torch, or signets will not receive any buffs. They want you to make hard choices.

Now Wind, I agree with you this trait was made with PU in mind. And that is okay. Balances are made around potential and probability. A flat reduction would not be compatible with the enhance to stealth. To achieve the same reduction now a person has to be in stealth 13s which means not breaking stealth. 13s or more of not breaking stealth provides enough opportunity cost to justify the reduction.

Lock on.

they only thing that will happen if lock on really becomes meta – every thief will play sd and won’t try to rez anyone anymore….

hf watching every spell being evaded and sitting in downstate while your thief teammate is laughing at you and refuses to rez you~

Didn’t they nerf S/D to make it nearly impossible to permaevade with it like you used to be able to do? I seem to remember that being a big reason why you almost always see d/p thieves and practically nothing else.

Semi-related, now that Autodefense Bomb Dispenser no longer competes with Grenadier (though being in Inventions might still turn some people off from using it) S/D evades might not be a big deal if they start off with a stun; It’s kinda hard to dodge a Net Shot or ‘nade barrage you don’t see coming ’cause the engineer blasted the smoke field ABD dropped for them.

S/D evade was reduced even more.

What this means for the meta is that to save your butts in the event of a stability stomp you will need a necro to go into shroud and use skill 4. Stealth is no longer a dependable way to prevent stomps if this becomes a prevalent trait. This will HEAVILY effect the meta.

Now. I need people to put on their thinking caps in the name of balance. This trait has the potential to lock a person out of stealth forever. We all calculated that you can get 18 seconds of reveal, and the trait itself has 20 seconds cooldown. It would not be that hard to perma keep someone visible. Stealth is one of their class mechanics. Yes other classes can stealth, but other classes don’t have it built in so that every weapon set has a stealth attack in it. This means that even if they are not playing a shadow arts build, you are depriving them of part of their class mechanic.

Empathy time. Would you like it if chill was changed so that it affected the cooldown on swapping kits. Would you like it if kits were given a equip cooldown like attunements. So you can only requip a kit 9 seconds after you put it down. I doubt anyone would like any of those things. Use your head look through the thief trait lines and look at how much requires the use of stealth.

The buffs are not specific to build or class, they are to the viability of conditions in general. In the coming weeks we will see how stable things are. But the meta in pvp will shift. Hopefully we can get an equal mix of condition and power builds.

Very important, semi scary thing: resistance

One thing I forgot to mention is dueling, illusions, domination. This is the only build that can apply decent vulnerability and boon removal, but it is glass canon by nature. Bad access to condition removal, to defensive traits/protection, to enhanced utility.

No boon removal means no resistance removal which means sad time.

New Engie Lock on

in Thief

Posted by: Daniel Handler.4816

Daniel Handler.4816

This argument isn’t over whether SA is op, or stealth is op, or any of that. There’s already plenty of soft counters to stealth. A long time ago Anet said they wanted to stay away from hard class counters, as they should. A step in the right direction would be to make this skill show thieves to the engi using “glitter” as someone mentioned earlier. I personally feel theres enough soft counters to stealth already for it to not be a problem, but since the majority can’t seem to grasp it I’m fine with adding another (the glitter thing)

Soft counters to stealth already
-Can’t cap/decap while stealthed
-Stealth is always counterable by a logical player
—Examples: black powder+hs – rupt the HS
—-cnd – blind/block/dodge the cnd
—-Hide in shadows- long cast time/easy to rupt
—-shadow refuge – automatic aoe bomb target/aoe knockback in the SR
—- channeled skills track through stealth
—-Thieves are not immune to damage… aka condis/aoes etc

I’m not going to defend and try to say stealth is perfectly balanced, but there are plenty of ways to play around it. If you insist on hard counters like the ones in game already IE stealth traps/sic em/analyze, make it NOT PASSIVE and make it require an investment. That is all i must add here

This post I like and agree. Now only if they would remove the passive bonuses thieves and mesmers get(if traited) while in stealth these kind of hard counters wouldnt be even needed and the game would be much better. There is nothing wrong with the current panic strike thief meta stealth, but fighting full shadow arts thief or PU mesmer is just not fun.

Your last sentence makes me hesitant to not drop your argument completely even though I agree with some of it. I assure you playing against a competent lockdown mesmer is not fun. Play against a competent s/d thief is not fun. Fun has nothing to do with anything.

Let me show you what hard counters look like:

  • diamond skin to all condition application
  • stability to all cc application
  • resistance to all effects of conditions
  • chill to alacrity, removing the effect of the boon and adding 66% movement reduction
  • any skill (like mist form) or rune (like vampirism) that can provide an immunity

and now lock on

What do these all share? They completely stop the effects of a skill/mechanic. But they all have caveats.

Lock on’s caveats as I see are. To push the reveal past 6 seconds you need to trait for kinetic charge and have utility goggles on your bar. You need to hit someone in stealth and then in the next 10ish seconds dodge an attack, and activate analyze, then wait 6 seconds and activate it again. Giving them 2 seconds to get into stealth again. But effectively locking them out of stealth forever.

It is up to you to decide whether those are large enough caveats.

Waypoints: How Do They Work?

in Lore

Posted by: Daniel Handler.4816

Daniel Handler.4816

I’d argue the combat bit is more of a “While being chewed/stabbed/shot at you wouldn’t have the full concentration to activate the waypoint.”

Though at least, I’d say cost is a key factor in waypoint travel period. (looking at that topic and the responses). Like Asura Gate travel, I’d say it gets more and more expensive to use waypoints to go everywhere.

A reason, going strictly theory with this… if being attacked, and you try to use a waypoint, what’s keeping the enemy from going with you (assuming melee combat)? IE, if I try using a waypoint to travel someplace else, and am being grappled by an enemy, he’d probably come with.

That is also my assumption.

So OP if for any reason you don’t want your players to use a waypoint say that travel is unsafe. So, mobs in the area, conditions on a person, interference with the waypoint itself. Its basically like “is this plane geared to take off”, “no because a passenger is sick”

SAB started as April’s Fools, and at that point we had no reason to think it was part of lore.

Until SAB:Return to School, it was just as likely that Corporal Bane was canon lore (which I suppose they could come out and say ‘yes, his appearance is canon – both of them’ with some fancy dodad explanation attached).

But return to school did happen. And with that it became an event, like wintersday. Also lore. One on Aprils is not lore. Off Aprils or repeated is.

Reminder to you world destroyer enthusiast out there. The consumption of dragon’s has to do with eating magic and then falling asleep. They do not destroy the world, it is their home, if the world dies they die too. Mordemoth is just trying to consume as much magic as possible. Unfortunately some of the magic is inside of living things so he has to take it out of them. Unfortunately that might kill them.

I don’t think anyone is forgetting that, and I for one certainly wouldn’t expect such. All I was saying was a simple name replacer in text dialogue no different than when we see NPCs refer to our character’s name, race, gender, profession, or story progression.

All it changes is about 25 npcs dialogue tops if such was done.

What matters is the common areas of the world that look ways and talk certain ways that only make sense if you have played gw1 and/or are in gw1. If we were to set this 10-20-30-40 years in the future. What is the canon reason for:

Why all the professions and energy system are gone 10-30 years after the last game?

I am doing a group mission with a friend. Why does the person we are talking to only say nice things about him but not about me whenever I talk to him?

I made an Asian character that kinda looks like me but now whenever I visit Cantha all of the Asian people there look nothing like me, they look and act kinda weird. Why does the culture in this game that looks Asian also have to do with ninja stuff?

I made a black character that looks like me and I visited a place called Elona. This is super weird they are using spears and contacting spirits. Do people know that not all African people use spears, we have other weapons. And the addition of someone who contacts dead spirits also adds to how this is kinda racist. I mean is anyone else getting this tribal theme; why does the culture that looks black have stereotypes from Africa?

As much as the price is iffy.

A reminder on character slots. Whether you are a veteran or buy the game new with the preorder: YOU WILL HAVE 5 CHARACTER SLOTS

Everyone will start out with 5 character slots. No matter what. The issue is not the character slots. The issue is that the expansion is the same price as as the full game was.

Personally I bought the game for around 60 dollars. I have no issue purchasing the expansion for around 30 dollars. I think that number is fair. Half the content, half the cost. You can make the full game+expansion 50 dollars as a bargain to new people buying. Keep the other two at the prices they were at but toss in a title like “llama”

GUYS calm down with all the uproar please. As josh davis just said in the other post

Clarification: the only thing that was changed was that you can’t use “Spectral Walk” in air. You can still use “Spectral Recall” which is the skill that returns you to your original location. This means you can still use Spectral Walk, jump off a cliff and teleport back.
What you can’t do is jump off a cliff, double tap Spectral Walk (and then Spectral Recall) just before hitting the ground to nullify falling damage.

This makes perfect sense. It may be fun, but it is ultimately cheating the new maps if you pull this off. The air camp will have areas with buffs that prevent fall damage. There are no gliders in wvw. This skill as it was is an unprecedented unfair advantage in wvw. You are suppose to capture an objective that prevents all fall damage. There are areas of the map that you will die if you fall even if you have a 50% reduction.

I understand this trait was fun. I would go into skyhammer when I was bored and explore the area on the floor.

This trait is also cheating for the purposes of gliders. We have glider mastery but we can only open them in the air a certain number of times. In a large fall necros would have an unfair advantage over any other class. They would bug the glider so they can open it more times than they should be able to.

That won’t be happening… unless they’ve been sipping THAT kind of Kool-Aid over at the ANet office.

All people would do it run back and forth over it to stack up a bunch of swiftness, and then run around with it. This was how it was like in the betas, and that’s why they made it work the way it does now.

Of course, it would be nice if it would remember if you has already crossed it, and thus only give you one stack of swiftness per line, but I don’t think they’re setup to do that properly in their code.

Signet of inspiration got the buff though, so now there is a dedicated movespeed option for mesmers. It’s a brave new world.

This argument against the stacking doesn’t count. There are traits that have ICD per target. Why can’t there be a skill with ICD per target?

Edit: Oh someone already said this :x

All aoes with no target cap follow the same pattern. If they apply a cc, the cc will be reapplied when they enter the radius. If they apply a boon or a condition, it will not be reapplied.

Whether it is “Too much” will be decided by playtesting it the next few weaks. Remember there was a correction to torch so the phantasm bounces do not cleanse conditions. This means that if we take your version.

dueling, illusions, inspirations has no access to protection
dueling, illusions, chaos, has no access to meaningful condi removal without adding in a utility or sigil or rune.
dueling, illusions, chronomancy has no meaningful access to the previous two and must rely on utilities.

there is always a sacrifice.

Temportal Curtain swiftness stack pls!

in Mesmer

Daniel Handler.4816

Technically they could fix the “stacks too much” problem with temporal curtain. First entry into curtain would give you one stack of hidden boon “grant swiftness”, which automatically grants you one stack of regular swiftness for the same duration. Standing or running around wouldn’t matter as you already have hidden boon (and new swiftness is only triggered on add).

All done

That makes zero sense. Hidden boons have never existed in this game.

Obsidian if you want to be a historian you should act like one. Historians do not delve into causes as much as chain of events. A cause is a definitive statement that could be found in the conclusion but not in the beginning of their works.

The civil war was caused by slavery: is not a statement you can make until you have shown the chain of events fully.

So when you get angry that people say human/s destroyed Orr. You can say the human did it because of the Charr, and we can set up a chain of events, but not a cause.

Charr besiege Orr>a human casts a spell>cataclysm

Here is a good example of history work from the wiki.

The Vizier’s decision to read from the Lost Scrolls to defeat the invading Charr has been seen as noble by some and deranged by others. Scholars debate whether a Charr victory in Orr would have been preferable to the nation’s complete destruction, or that, under the circumstances, the Vizier could have made no other decision, and that the outcome of the spell could not have been foreseen.
It is revealed in the Realm of Torment that Terick, an Orrian citizen (who was in reality Razakel, a demonic agent of Abaddon) had convinced Khilbron into using the dark magic that caused the Cataclysm. The specter of Jutu later reveals that Khilbron was not simply coerced into using the magic but had also been converted to the worship of Abaddon prior to the Cataclysm.

The plot thickens. But do not blame the foefire or the cataclysm on the charr without elaborating on the chain of events. So what we do know is that America dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. We know that a human caused the cataclysm and a separate human caused the foefire. Those are the facts right now.

It’s 250 years in the future.

You don’t need an ancient Seer to infuse your armor with the spectral essence of an Eidolon, nor an ancient ritual of Ascension to inherit the gift of truesight as per the even more ancient prophecy.

All you need is cash dude! There are merchants around who you purchase that stuff from now! Get out of the past yo!

I’m just waiting on the Ascended/Infusion ATM machines to appear, there’s got to be an Asuran working on that somewhere…

Are we still on this rant where something isn’t lore if it doesn’t fit the mood? Move on.

If these were Mursaat. Not saying they were. Then they were making themselves visible for some reason.

Moa isn't manipulation?

in Mesmer

Posted by: Daniel Handler.4816

Daniel Handler.4816

But moa being a signet?.. (gets me confused xD)
Do you think there will be more builds around signets? Just because of the Elite?

“Because time warp is our glamour elite, and the way the new spell system works they want/need an even distribution of spells in categories”-Tertle

He had the right answer he just wrote it a little wrong.

In the “skill/trait” system things are unlocked with hero points. All skills should now have types (except for ones that are unlocked at the start of the game, who might, but don’t have to).

You are going to spend these points to unlock skills in certain tracks. The skill time warp will likely be the last skill you can unlock from glamours. The skill mass invis is the last manipulation you can unlock from the manipulations track. The skill signet of humility (moa) is the last signet you can unlock from the signet track.

The typing is balanced around this.

Remember the 1 skill in the track is the first one you unlock when you put points into it. If you put more skills into a skill track, it takes longer to unlock the last skill in the track. No one wants to have to purchase moa before they can purchase mass invisibility.

What happened to Illusionary Invig

in Mesmer

Posted by: Daniel Handler.4816

Daniel Handler.4816

The trait was a luxury and not a necessity for shatter builds. It has no place on any tier in any trait line. It was not needed beforehand, and it will not be needed afterwards.

As far as I know the only instance this trait was ever used was to reset shatter in response to a burst. This meant wasting distortions instead of dodges because you could get them back later.

Why is it never coming back now?

Mesmer shatter was buffed. You are never going to given something to reset shatter on a 60 second cd the way that guardian can reset virtues with renewed focus………….

Oh wait you are. Signet of illusions is your new illusionary invigorations

New Engie Lock on

in Thief

Posted by: Daniel Handler.4816

Daniel Handler.4816

Maybe thieves will now understand what all the mesmers were qq’ing about thief
ignoring grandmaster trait by just being a thief.

I don’t, which did we ignore and how?

https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Power_Block
Thieves can’t have cooldowns on weapon skills. This trait increases cooldown.

But this is in no way equal. Because a single trait invalidated by a mechanic is not the same as a mechanic invalidated by the a single trait. Engie’s essentially got a diamond skin level trait that just needs to be balanced correctly.

Lock on.

in Engineer

Daniel Handler.4816

Just spam the larger radius grenade like no tomorrow on blank space and you’ll have some nice dead thieves that’re revealed.

If the thief is brain dead maybe…
Not to mention without easy access to perma swiftness, a thief who wants to disengage from an engineer probably only needs a few seconds of swiftness and Sbow. Only thing that this change really screws over a little too much for my taste is Shadow Refuge, which can no longer be used to safely rez anyone if the opposing team has a lock on engi. There were already quite a few counters to SR rezzing, but one trait that can cancel out a 60 cd second utility seems a bit much.

sb5 has always outrun engis no matter what… speedy kits didnt let engi keep up with it in any way, shape, or form…

Exactly my point…
All these doomsayers claiming Lock On is the greatest thing since sliced bread/ is the death of thieves are overreacting, looking at this in a vacuum and just spreading the QQ that arises whenever anything changes. There are a huge amount of changes incoming, looking at them from the perspective of our current meta really won’t yield much conclusive information and just serve as hype.

This is true, however it is very important to consider somethings.

Thief and mesmer don’t have instant revive skills. The mesmer has illusion of life which gives you the potential to rally, but if you are killed in that form you just die, if buff expires you down again. With thief they have the ability to stealth and prevent a stomp. However this counters that. Thieves have no capabilites towards ressing in team fights with an opposing engie with this trait.

Other important stuff to consider. For everyone who thinks this is a l2p issue for thieves, remember they though stealth was a l2p issue for you.

Obviously this will work itself out. But the issue is not as clear cut as you think. This is a go
od trait, but the potential for overkill exists.

Few questions about Mesmer playstyle

in Mesmer

Posted by: Daniel Handler.4816

Daniel Handler.4816

1: Ele is the hardest followed by Engie. Mesmer has a higher skill floor than thief but that is debatable.

As far as skill ceiling with those top 4 hard classes we all have enough instant cast skills to cast during other skills that the number of combos skyrocket. You will always have more to learn. Many Mesmers focus on a style like shatter it lockdown to master first.

2. Anyone who answers this question does know what they are talking about if they talk about the future. We are undergoing a huge balance change. Right now the mesmer spot is in backline, gang squad, or roamer. But that is going to change very soon.

3. Shatter, lockdown, any build with chained instant skills or chained skills at all with make you tear out your hair. It depends how bad the lag is. Experiment to find your good spot. I have had to sit out PvP sometimes.

Signet of Inspiration: Hello traveler runes

in Mesmer

Posted by: Daniel Handler.4816

Daniel Handler.4816

None of those solutions sound satisfactory to me. I think I’ll stick with Travelers. If the swiftness was every 10sec it would be perm swiftness and non-stacking, as it would run out as new swiftness was applied. There would be no overlap, bar outside sources.

If Swiftness was 10s base, then it would be 13s with 30% Swiftness duration granted from Pack or Air runes, plus whatever other sources of Boon duration you can muster.

That means every time SoI cycles it would cast another 13s Swiftness, and quickly add up to 2m or whatever the cap is. The only way to avoid that would be to break it the way they broke our Focus, making it not play nice with other Swiftness which IMO would be worse than the 5s base thing.

Perma Swiftness is stupid, perma-any-Boon is if you ask me, it defeats the purpose of boons. As Pyro said, 50% uptime is fine. It’s not wow, but it’ll do compared to our current choices. I would much rather run Pack or Air runes then Travelers any day of the week, and twice on Sundays.

Perma swiftness is just that, permanent, duration increases don’t make it even more permanent.

It may be fine for you guys but it isn’t for me. Some in the Mes community are very good at expecting little, and happy with getting less in return.

And some of us are very good at demanding ‘We want more more more!! Whatever you give us isn’t good enough!’

We got enormous access to cripple in the new traits. This allows us to have drastically better control over the mobility of fights we’re in. Combined with solid uptime ok swiftness, this makes Mesmer mobility in a fight pretty fantastic.

If you’re not in a fight, you’re not in combat. Quit being lazy, swap on a focus, press 4, and swap it back out. Congratulations! You’ve achieved 100% swiftness uptime by using 3 buttons!

It not quite being lazy, as being impractical and clumsy. In WvW a few times I being running back to the Zerg with a focus for speed and been jumped. Really not the best weapon (especially untraited) to be caught out with. I’d rather just have a full passive on a signet since we don’t have a build saver.

Perma swiftness solo no longer exists in the game without cost. It was produced by swiftness linked to traits and skills with no opportunity cost. That stops now. If you want perma then run with a group. Or pay a cost.

If a warrior wants to use signet of rage and horn they get to deal with boon removal which leaves them without a trace of swiftness.

An ele has to combo skills to get swiftness, they don’t get to use of one. Perhaps the glyph heal but do you want to start combat without your heal?

Thieves can’t waste dodges as much anymore, but they still have to waste heal for perma. If you have a problem with that role a thief. Extreme mobility in and out of combat is in their class design not ours.

Necro can easily have swiftness stripped, they don’t make that many boons.

I don’t know what else has to be said.
