That’s a good point about the pact leader not coming from orders. That would eliminate us, if that rule is upheld. Laranthir looks like a good choice, but I can’t imagine it being offered to him because he is sylvari. Maybe a surviving member of Destiny’s Edge?

Removing the personalities also reduces the workload of designers and developers.

Any new elite spec would probably require 250 HP. I wouldn’t expect any new elite specs until the next expansion. It’s always possible to add new HP. Anet has already done so with SW and Dry Top.

I always thought they should have been added to HoT.

I find the core tyria maps to be incredibly easy and boring these days. I wish we had more maps like those in Maguuma.

She clearly had the Exalted, if nothing else, available to her. The Zephyrites as well. But she kept them away, to protect her children instead.

No doubt she could have created more Crystal Guardians – which are akin to the sylvari in that they are dragon minions by all intent.

As for those trying to slay her – that was the GW1 characters. Probably in reference to the bonus mission, though I suspect that there was an intended Beyond arc that never got to because silly ArenaNet cut production from the Live Team.

I’d say 100% is a pretty good sample size. Name one we missed. Six is perfectly fine for the size of the total population. It’s basic statistics. If you think the sample size is significantly larger please show us your evidence.

Why can’t we just resurrect Eir just like everyone else?

At the end of HoT story, we saw some energy been absolved by Glint’s egg. What if what we thought Glint’s egg was the savior of Tyria was the wrong idea, instead this was Glint’s way of trying to take over all 6 of the Elder Dragon’s energy and become the Queen Dragon of Tyria? Her former boss Karry finds out of it and kills her, but she put her spirit into an egg and told those Heroes in Guild Wars the biggest lie ever that her egg is the savior when in actual fact, her egg is THE MAIN ANTAGONIST OF THE WHOLE SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!!! There, I said it first. Glint is the MOST EVIL DRAGON OF THEM ALL. Even the Elder Dragon’s didn’t know what hit them!!! And we the Heroes are played as FOOLS. We will be the laughing stock in GW3 when the remaining survivor’s of the massacre of Queen Glint will always remember the Zeroes of GW2 for helping the harbinger of death upon Tyria. Sadly, no Heroes monument for us!!!

I’m tired of the cultural insensitivity of the sylvari. It’s obvious that the sylvari’s use of humanoid bodies is stolen from humans. They need to stop stealing the human culture and use their own form. Their micro aggressions towards humans must end.

Glint is just eliminating her offspring’s competition.

If the eggs are produced asexually, then the offspring would have her DNA. Maybe Glint has plans for a rebirth.

Glint stays safely in the egg while we do her dirty work. Once the elder dragons are dead, the egg hatches and Glint takes over.

The funny thing about this is if you already had map completion you got screwed because the last 6 months there wasn’t any kind of XP reward for a level 80. On top of that these same people can’t get map completion rewards because Anet refuses respond to the bug.

I’ve seen a lot of builds that recommend this sigil for builds. Having noticed that this is useless in raids, I can only assume these builds will be changing. I think Force sigils will become more popular.

Because unlike other hero points, you get 10 hero points for these, so why wouldn’t they be harder? The reward is much higher.

Why should something be just as easy for a reward 10 times as great? How is that good game design?

Let’s not pretend the 10x hero points was a design choice for challenge. Not that I’m bitter about how they handled elite unlocks (disappointed is the closest I get), but it’s easy to spot that the hero point structure was designed to force acquisition of points for the elite specs.

These are character-defining trait lines, and they shouldn’t be locked behind “group” content, especially without indications of which challenges are group and which ones are “commune” gimmies. Granted, “locked” isn’t 100% true, since old Tyria completion fills out a majority of the skills and trait line, thanks to polite acquiescence by the dev team.

There are enough soloable hero points on Verdant Brink that no one needs to group up with anyone to get these so called “character-defining traits”.

Are you seriously asking for a change to a raid that you know absolutely nothing about?

Learning to get through the new environment is part of the story. The open world events are all part of the story also. The story is not limited to the personal journal only.

This is correct. I haven’t finished world completion due to Halloween and activities in HoT. But I’m a little more than 1/3 the way through with my power leveled revenant and I’ve already completed Pact Commander.

Here my numbers for Spark.

- Buying all the materials needed for the collection : 578 gold. To be clear, that the price of basic materials needed to craft everything.

- If instead I sell all the materials, I make a profit of (after TP tax) : 737 gold. The main difference is from selling ascended crafting material. The time gate give them more value when selling than buying the basic materials.

- The price of Spark right now on buy order is 625 gold.

- The price of Spark if I buy right now is 749 gold.

I think that spark is near perfect balance right now. It will cost you less to craft it than to buy if off the tp, whatever if you buy or do a buy order. That said, if you want to maximize your gold, you are better off crafting ascended material each day for a profit and buying your precursor from buy order. People with comfortable wallet would prefer to use the market to make gold with the price of ascended materials, while most of the population would prefer to make small step with the material they already have in their bank, doing their ascended crafting each day they can and at the end only buying a small portion of what is needed.

They’ve changed the trait system a few times and it’s not the type of thing to compensate people for, the only thing would be that you were around longer than other people. There are already titles for that (Loyal, Veteran, Faithful) that you get on character birthdays.

As to the actual mobile spirit trait…I admit that it’s an odd thing for them to remove. My guess would be that they removed it so they could re-add it with a future elite spec that’s more spirit oriented. They removed the Guardian book elites as well for possible use of those animations for a possible elite spec in the future.

You complained about how you paid for the game and now people are getting it free.

As far as NPC deaths are concerned, we’re at war with an elder dragon people are going to die. If no one died, it would be silly.

Oh how I enjoyed it when I build my hunter on gw2 I loved the spirits and decided to play my hunter in a way that I could use my spirits in the best way possible.
Now with the new update stuff that is gone! The way I played my hunter isn’t possible anymore because its goneeee.

Expansions don’t, generally, strip the content/rewards from the core game, there.

OK, admittedly, they have recently been going down the shady path of removing mounts and stuff from old content.

Which I don’t approve of, either – even (especially) in the case of mounts I managed to get in current content.

Everyone should have a chance to get everything, in an MMO, sooner or later.

But, overall, WoW doesn’t remove stuff.

What happens there is that stuff eventually gets outlevelled/outgeared and the rewards seem less, due to inflation.

But, actually, as people are soloing old content, rather than doing it in a large group, they are generally getting more rewards than they can in current content and certainly more than they were previously, when that older content was current.

In this game, you don’t outlevel stuff, so everything is supposed to be current and yet, almost all older/existing content’s rewards have been nerfed.

Including things that were never particularly rewarding and simple things, like levelling guilds, which are now impossible to level on your own.

This is not normal, typical, or good.

Every expansion that WoW ever put out nerfed the gear from the prior version. Every time it increase the max level, all the gear from the previous max level became useless.

Nothing in the TP is needed to get ahead in the game … nothing. Boosters? Nope not used in the 3 yrs I have had the game. Skins? Nope not needed at all since there are no stats to them. Harvesting stuff? Nope not needed since you can find and get them for copper and silver in the game. Salvage equipment? Nope not needed since so many merchs sell them for very little copper or silver. Minis? Nope not needed since they do nothing but stand there and follow you.

There is nothing in or on the TP to make this game pay to win.

You probably want to add this to the bug thread. It would be a more effective way of letting the devs know that this is still a problem. Unless your more interested in complaining rather than participating. In that case starting yet another thread is probably a better way of achieving your goals.

There are two types of players
Players who are casual and are fine playing the FREE core game. And then there are more hardcore players who have bought heart of thorns.

The free players shouldn’t care about getting the BEST gear and the COOLEST skins. They play for fun because they are casuals. The hardcore players do care about that stuff. And they have it available to them more effectively in HoT.

The problem is, there are still people who refuse to buy the expansion yet are hardcore players because they feel like they’re getting gyped/don’t have the money/feel like since they already bought the game, shouldn’t have to pay for the expansion. They are in a limbo between casual and hardcore. They expect all the niceties like ascended gear and legendary weapons but dont want to upgrade to the expansion.

While 50 bucks I’d a bit overpriced for what we got, people spend 50 bucks are stupider crap everyday.

Ascended gear has been in the game for years. It is part of the core game. An expansion should stand on it’s own merit. You don’t nerf and remove stuff from the core game to make the expansion more appetizing.

WOW nerfs existing gear with every new expansion.
