Where to farm T6 Mats

in Crafting

Posted by: DeShadowWolf.6854

DeShadowWolf.6854

One does not farm t6 mats. One buys them from farming other parts of the game and then buys what one needs…

If everyone did that for when they needed T6 mats then the actual supply would be lower. What you buy from the TP must have come from somewhere. Despite the occasional drop, I would not say that the all supplies on the TP could have come from more casual people who just happened to get it. There have to be at least some people who farm it them.

best warrior build/stats/weps for most dps?

Honestly, while leveling you can mostly do what you want. So long as you aren’t under leveled by quite a bit, you can do alright in looted gear using whatever weapon set you find fun, picking traits that seem useful or relevant. I’ve heard that gs does a lot of damage, etc but I’ve been leveling my warrior with the weapons I find fun. Once you want to do more group-oriented or (relatively) high-end things, then you can start plotting out your gear and so on.

Crafting was intended to assist in leveling it was not intended to simply easily level a character to 80. To those that choose to do it this method I hardly feel your complaints about cost are justified.

I’m not especially interesting in buying to 80, but this patch basically screws over everyone who had not done all of the crafting leveling before the update. People who had done so got their 10 lvls and now they get more from 400-500. People who didn’t now get 7 lvls where they got 10, don’t get the extra 3 lvls from having it beforehand, and have to pay exorbitant amounts to get the last 3 lvls in the first place. I would have much preferred that 0-400 still gives 10 lvls and then you get more from 400-500.

tl;dr The people who were done leveling crafting before the update get a bonus and the people who didn’t got 3 less lvls and have to pay exorbitant amounts for the last 3 lvls.

The GW1 people and soloers hold the game back. The GW1 people would totally flip their lid if a raid was put in the game. They would all be screaming about the game becoming like WoW.

Therefore, there will be no instanced raid. I am completely shocked that there is gear progression, but so far they have ignored the constant protests of the GW1 people on that.

I would first note that we would not necessarily ‘flip our lids’ if a raid was intoduced, especially like Tequatl is being implemented. Some might even be OK with more traditional raids. GW2, however, is trying break new ground in that kind of area. You lump all GW1 players and soloers together and then act as though they are a tiny minority that the game is only trying to cater to, which simply isn’t accurate.

I also notice that in the first paragraph you just say ‘raids,’ whereas you later add instanced in front of it.

GEAR MATTERS. STATS MATTER. Having 13% more damage atm MATTERS. And it will ONLY GROW EVERY FEW MONTHS FROM NOW ON.

Ranks were stupid enough already for www, now ascended…PvEers in champ trains…how exciting….

Why does gear matter if someone can do content in blue gear while someone in Ascended is struggling? 13% more damage doesn’t matter at all.

No serious gamer would make a statement like this. In a hardcore raiding guild (in another game of course) if you ignored an enchant that boosted your power 1% you would be looked at like you were from Mars by the guild leader and you would be told to get the enchant by raid time. Every experienced player knows that stats matter.

Yes, because a hardcore raiding guild in another game is extremely relevant to gw2 content.

~snip~

I merely meant to use that as an example.

How I feel about Legendary gear is, if I bought Sunrise already made off the Trading Post, how is that by any means ‘Legendary’? Someone else did all the work for me and I simply had the amount of money the felt like charging for it. And chances are what someone is charging for it is more expensive than it would be to actually just work towards it myself.

That isn’t an especially Legendary action, except for its Legendary proportion. If that was all Legendary as a gear tier was meant to entail, because it isn’t. Putting four items into the Mystic Toilet isn’t an especially Legendary action either, in the same way as the TP. You can do it with 2g exotics too. Its only Legendary aspect in this regard is the worth of what you are putting in and getting out.

So, we can say that the status Legendary is not meant to represent the means by which you got it, but what it is in and of itself. So then comes the question of what is a Legendary beyond the qualities other items have. Its statistical bonuses and abilities are the same as an Ascended weapon, so what makes it so much better? Cosmetics is the answer only answer we can really conclude to. So if the manner of acquiring is expensive but not worthy of Legendary status, it is no better statistically in combat than other weapons we can get and is thus not worthy of Legendary status in that manner, then what are we left with? How it looks and feels. So, by this conclusion we have come to, you can only base your opinion of whether it is Legendary or not to you on how it looks.

If you decide to earn the gold and use the TP to get the Legendary weapon, then that is your choice. If you decide to compile all the ingredients and combine them in the Mystic Forge, that is your choice as well.

I’ll even go a step further on Legendary weapons. I don’t think precursors or Legendary weapons should be bought off the Trading Post, why? What is so epic about someone who can convert IRL money to gold or whatever and buy it out? Nothing. Which is why they are going to change how to obtain precursors in the future to make it more meaningful.

Using gw2spidy.com’s information, I took the LOWEST priced Legendary (sell price; Rodgort) and the data on gem transactions and ended up with a whopping $750 US dollar value. For the lowest priced sell order, mind you. If you wanted the Flameseeker Prophesies or something, that would be quite a bit more expensive. So i don’t think there is THAT much of a problem of trading money → gold → Legendary. It simply isn’t efficient enough for anyone to really do it, except for the really, really determined people who would just grind it out some other way, and doesn’t have a life.

No, I mean the fact that they drastically cut the achievement karma to this level AND removed the failed event karma.

Think about what you just wrote… lol

Because you just confirmed that reverting event rewords would solve the problem

No, he said that the double-hit was too much. Not necessarily just reverting the events rewards (which, imo, were not as bad as the Daily and Monthly nerf).

I personally had some of the worse RNG rolls ever seen while trying to create Mystic Clovers. Under this new system, I’ll never have enough patience to craft enough clovers for a new legendary.

Karma is only in abundance for people who ignore it in their inventory. Players who actually use it to buy armor and shards will never tell you how they have a surplus of it.

Just when the WvWvW badges were a horror show for those who don’t play WvWvW, looks like Karma is going to be the new bottleneck for those who want to craft end game gear.

Give me a break.

I haven’t even started rolling for clovers. This a dozen times over

Ascended Weapons for Support Players

Fact: 65 gold is harder to get than 4-5 laurels.

Depends what you are comparing, and how you are comparing. 65 Gold is (probably) far easier to get than 4-5 laurels if all you have is 3 days to acquire either (and you’ve already completed your monthly >____>)

65 Gold is (probably) far harder to get that 4-5 laurels if you aren’t putting it in a completely loaded situation that doesn’t actually occur, really.

That’s all that needs to be said about the issue and I think my decision is not ungodly at all…rather it is rational and economical. I feel that if we were in each others’ shoes and the game only had defensive infusion slots and you were questioning why Anet didn’t include offensive infusion slots, you’d be equally baffled by your own arguments.

If Anet had only defensive infusion slots in Ascended Weapons I would be slightly annoyed, but again, it does not take away from the fact that the option to have an offensive infusion in that defensive infusion slot exists.

I might suggest a menu like the one for choosing the stat replacement for mf gear that allows you to choose offensive or defensive. Also, just because you would be willing to spend that 65 gold does not mean that other people should have to spend that much to get the stat they want. Nor does that mean it is balanced.

What you are trying to do is put a gold-value on in-game character statistics. Unfortunately this is impossible. There is no amount of gold in the game that will give you that extra 5 vit/50HP you need to survive conditions that you can get from a Vital infusion for example.

There may not be any way to put a Gold value on 5 vit/50 health. But there are ways to put a Gold value on what it costs to make that infusion.

~snip~

It isn’t, and no where do I ever say that it is.

O RLY? I think you did

but it IS balanced. You can get defensive infusions on your offensive weapon slotted Weapons if you absolutely wanted to.

With the implementation of magic find from salvaging drops, the price of said drops and the availability has taken a hit. This you may think is no major thing, but a new player doesn’t have the extra gold to buy equipment as they level and as such, you have made the journey for a new player considerably harder.

The likeliness of a new player keeping their gear up to level from drops is unreadable (from experience) due to the numerous variances in type, stats and level. As such, the purchase of said items from the TP at a cheap amount due to high supply was the best solution.

Crafting is also not feasible due to the variety of materials required, and potentially if you are relying on this, you have seriously bumped up the skill-curve to get into the game – especially for casual players.

By extension, that also means that the drops they do get (and admit it, blues and greens are simple to get with drops) that they can’t/don’t want to use sell for higher on the tp, or they can salvage for EoL – if they sell on the tp, they make money, if they salvage they get luck and mats. Flip side of the same coin.

Crafting is the one area we can agree on. I know I didn’t keep it leveled with my toon’s gear level, and it requires mats you don’t always have handy.

tl;dr: Increases in price for buying means increases for selling. Crafting still isn’t that great for level-appropriate gear making.

But because of the spread out nature of the ascalonian ghosts there seems to be only two options.

Either…

A. The Foefire effected humans differently than charr, and the effect on humans was far more widespread.

Or…

B. The ascalonian ghosts we see spread throughout Ascalon are just troops that Adlebern is sending to recapture old towns and fortifications.

I prefer the idea of the last one, just because all of the articles and tales that I have read seem to point towards Ascalon City being the last thing, other than Ebonhawke, remaining in human hands before being besieged. Nothing says it outright, but it points towards claiming Ascalon City being the major pinnacle in the Flame Legion Imperator claiming the title of Kahn Ur. Plus, basic war strategy tells me that having all those random humans in those other locations while besieging the city could be a bad call.

The first book, Ghosts of Ascalon, specifically says that only the charr inside the city were killed whereas all living humans essentially everywhere except Ebonhawke were turned into the ghosts we see. This could have been retconned since then, but i doubt they would retcon this. Just wanted to clarify.

Do you really want me to? Oooookay.

I think the smith mentioned in Hoelbrak actually exists somewhere in game. Have it be a dialogue option in the next Living Story to ask him about “Scarlet” and if he ever tried teaching a sylvari.

Next, allow characters to talk to people in the college areas in Rata Sum and actually use the “Charm/Dignity/Ferocity” to gate whether or not you get a reply (i.e. your Charm must be at least this value to use the Charm option successfully).

Have a LS instance to dialogue with the Pale Tree, who says something along the lines of “Poor (Scarlet’s original name), she could have had a large part in what must come if she hadn’t turned her back on it.” And explaining Scarlet has to be stopped since she now defies the order of things.

All these can be tacked onto or spaced out in minor bits during the SAB update, since it’s light and simple.

Last, have the players go to Orr, Kryta, and the Iron Marches in that order.
/sarcasm

It both 1) doesn’t show the story as it was written in the same way we can read the post, since it has to break it up and put it in-character rather than reading the story itself (which, imo, is written quite well).
2) leads players on a wild goose chase with very little reward. I suspect the people who might actually do this kind of thing (presuming we even know we can do it) are also the ones who keep up-to-date on Anet’s posts there. Given the way in which LS instances are designed, we would probably recieve a mail somehow telling us the Pale Tree has stuff to say, we walk in, her what the tree says, then get attacked by Aetherblades on the way out.Which wouldn’t fit one centimeter with the current events (that is, Scarlet is messing with DR). And the dialogue treasure-hunt might have LS stars like the investigation during DB.

And it wouldn’t be as interesting and immersive as reading the story full out on the official site.

Almost everything have once been done or been told. =p

I guess but they could have given her a more meaningful motivation than BRAIN OVERLOAD NOW IM CRAZY!!!

Well, for one thing, it’s less of a “brain overload” than an “I’ve seen so much your puny life is worthless to me and now I have seen a greater scheme than you can comprehend,” type thing. In this day and age it is almost impossible to create original, compelling stories that can both be told in a game and fit the Gw2 world.

we should have seen this into the game somehow… it’s not fair that i know about this character when i’m off game

Then tell me, given the dialogue and cutscene systems and how books are used in-game, how they could put this in game without having an incredibly long dialogue chain or some such thing. It isn’t easy, especially if they had to put some design work to insert it in an easy-to-understand manner, and that would draw even more work away from the actual content that isn’t just a wall-o-text broken up by clicking a green arrow. It would be nice to present at least some of the story itself in-game, but the current systems can’t convey it well.

You will only learn SMALL details that lead up to the GW dungeon. Nothing will be relevant to the current lore.

Not related to events, that’s always a possibility. But Abaddon has shaped the world as we have come to know and love it.

Without Abaddon:

  • Nightfall would probably not have happened.
  • Shiro Tagachi may have never been corrupted.
  • The Lich may never have been created; Orr (maybe) would not have sunk
  • The oppression caused by the Flame Legion and subsequently the Searing would have happened differently, if not at all.
  • Magic may not have been so freely gifted, and thus not as freely used as it is now.
  • Without his fall, Elona and Tyria would be unconnected save by sailing. The Crystal Desert and the Desolation wouldn’t exist.
  • Margonites might still be around, who knows.
  • Oh yeah, and he and his gift may have been the reason the god left Tyria and started a calendar.

He’s done quite a lot of stuff to create the world as we know it. I wouldn’t be so dismissive of him and his fall. I’m not sure I want to know what a Tyria without his influence would look like nowadays.

Why I support Kiel over Evon.

in Cutthroat Politics

Posted by: DeShadowWolf.6854

DeShadowWolf.6854

~snip~

Now this is a good point, but still, weak.

Firstly, the idea has been overdone in many games. Fall of Abbadon occured eons ago before Guild Wars 1. It happened in the Crystal Sea, which is now the Crystal Dessert, on an island, presumably, of Morah, which is now the Desolation. The Margonites who are human, were Abbadon’s army, and the 5 gods had thier own army of humans and possibly Forgotten. On top of that, you won’t be able to see the gods, given the lore that upon viewing of a god will make you blind. We already know so much and we can all see what’s going to unfold. It is so predictable.

Secondly, it’s not just A building which blew up. The consequences of it blowing up screwed up with the space time continuum of the world. We get to see the cause of Chernobyl of Tyria. What were the reasons behind building the reactor? What were the results they hoped to accomplish? What preparations were they doing? It’s a recent event right before GW2, so it’s much more relevant to the current time we’re playing in. I don’t think the inquest are boring, they have the Crucible of Eternity, they are researchers, villians who think they are doing something justifiable. Boring? Fall of Abbadon is boring.

3rdly, why are you skipping the fact of supporting Evon is supporting rng crap chests?

Lets answer your questions:

What were the reasons behind building the reactor? Not likely we’ll hear that in a fractal.
What were the results they hoped to accomplish? It’s pretty clear at this point they were messing with Dragon magic, seeing what it does. Beyond that, not many more details are likely.
What preparations were they doing? Preparations? Who said anything about preparations?

The Inquest trying to do something justifiable? Given their philosophy, I would expect them to be doing a bit more “playing with fire” and going further than is acceptable to other people, “for the sake of science” or something. Boring? No, but by now definitely bland.

We invade the facility, getting close to the reactor before it explodes in a cutscene, followed by Inquest security teams and portal-ed enemies, finalized with an Inquest/portal-ed enemy/elemental created by the boom bossfight. It’s so predictable.

Oh, and it isn’t just a god getting kicked off the Council O’ Gods. The result of the fight turned a sea into huge desert forever, (presumably) made the Realm of Torment, and opened a rift to it as well, AND almost all traces and scriptures of Abbadon were erased from the world. We get to see the battle that caused the GW2 version of the extinction of the dinosaurs, because that’s just how massively important and powerful it was.

1. A explosion is an explosion. Anet can bring any of their asuran labs blown up into the game any which way they choose and at anytime without actually ruining anything lore-wise. Why? ugghhh… it’s asura. Do whatever with gods, isn’t that the point of some higher power that apparently controls and owns everything?

2. With the Abbadon fractal, Anet has a chance to offer something so incomprehensibly important, changing, and new to the lore. Ooooooo…

Also,

#Team Gnashblade

These responses are what I see on the forums and in game all the time. You all have already convinced yourself that the Fall of Abbadon fractal will suck.

While in reality, the abaddon fractal will just be a huge battle where the face of the earth is changed forever. While the thumanova reactor fractal could be anything, including another boring asuran experiment gone wrong or just a big explosion and a boss fight. All we know is that whatever was being researched at thaumanova has torn a hole in the fabric of reality and is porting in creatures from across space and time.

Fixed both posts in bold. Also, as stated in above posts, its ironic how you say we’ve convinced ourselves it will suck, when you have done the same in reverse.

Questions for Evon Gnashblade,

Why will you not support the investigation into the Thaumanova reactor inciedent, the worst industrial and enviromental accident in history?

Is there a cover up?

Are you working with the inquest to hide the truth?

Don’t you think the people, not only need, but deserve answers?

Can you confirm the rumors of dragon envolvement?

Mr. Gnashblade do you have any comment at all?

While I understand that you are speaking in character, this really doesn’t hold any water. Evon isn’t covering anything up, he is simply supporting research into another event. And if you say that by doing so he is covering it up, then the same can just as easily be said of Kiel; that she doesn’t want us to know how a god fell from power and created a desert out of a sea. If anything, it is more likely that Kiel is only offering the Thaumanova Reactor because she used it to get the waypoint reduction. But because of the divide of the Arcane Council and how the Inquest usually break the tie, she used Thaumanova to get her promise of waypoint reduction. So she is both working with the Inquest, and can’t keep her promises without the Arcane Council’s support.

To be fair MOST charr only hated the flame legion got all the credit for doing those horrible things to ascalon so ya. they want credit for kidnapping children and making them fight to the death or eating em.

Actually, most Charr hate the Flame Legion because of how they led the worship of their fake gods, the Titans, (and this worship brought them wealth) and because of one female who refused to accept the Titans as gods, all females were oppressed. But some Charr females trained underground, got the support of some of the other legions (primarily Iron, because their Imperator lost against the resistance’s leader, Kalla Scorchrazor) and the Flame Legion surrendered when they saw how much they were outnumbered on the battlefield. Just a bit history for ya.

It’s kind of hard to say they only were hated because they led during the Searing and whatnot when we have this kind of history. And btw the Flame Legion Imperator and many, many of his soldiers died when they tried to take Ascalon City and Adelburn used Magdaer to create the Foefire.

Plus, Evon has no need for statistics. He just needs to know how to undercut the competition. Minus 1 Copper is as simple as you can get, which is why he’s so successful.

#Evon4Council

Lets see, a char that is delving into research of abaddon, abaddon is linked to the titans, and the titans were worshipped by the flame legion.

How can you advocate putting a flame legion char on the council in lions arch? Your terrible and and the molten alliance you would support the flame legion of which Evon is clearly a part

You say he is Flame Legion simply because they worshiped Titans and Titans served Abbadon. But non-Flame Legion charr also have reason to care because they suffered under the iron fist of the Flame Legion shamans. Looking into the Fall of Abbadon may suggest more of a “Lets go enjoy watching that baddie go down. Yup, that was fun!” than a “Lets go look into when he got his butt whooped so we can worship him,” attitude. Just my thoughts.

Anywho, addressing your hair-splits of my hair-splits. I didn’t ignore Evon’s with your support, I suggested that it wasn’t as focused on us as we might think, instead addressing more his company members. Regarding the expect/gratitude show, as someone else said, that’s basically your usual campaign promising bribes for support kinda stuff, so neither are in the clear for that.

As to the Sanctum and Zephyrites…Yeah, you’re saying what I said, roughly. Sanctum, being where the people live, is the closest equivalent for them of a nation despite being manmade. Zephyrites on the other hand seems to me to possibly focus in on individual Zephyrites, i.e. probably the most profitable ones, whereas Sanctum suggests any of the Zephyrites, including the not so profitable ones alongside the profitable ones. ~snip~

Except that, after the original stating of what he said, there is nowhere you even mention the “With your support,” part. You offer no comment on it, and DO ignore it, while still honing in on similarly-meant words used by Kiel.

Actually we were saying entirely different things, you simply twist my wording. If I go live on an airplane for the rest of my life, the airplane becomes the closest thing to my nation…..yeah, we can see where that logic leads. The “Zephyrites” does not in any way suggest only a few people of the Zephyrites. Just an out-of-game comparison, the “Israelites” (like from the Bible) indicates the people of Israel, not jut a few of them. Nuff said, I hope.

The real question is why is a Charr interested in the history of Abaddon?

Clearly he is trying to learn how the crystal sea was destroyied to replicate it and use it as a weapon!

Remember the searing! remember the foefire!

Never trust a Charr!

Vote Kiel! Savior of Southsun, Sky Pirates Sorrow!

Remember how the Searing was created by a cauldron given to them by their false gods, Titans, who were minions of Abbadon. Suddenly things become easier to understand.

Got the cutting board out? Great, because, now that we come to discuss rewards, there’s more hair to dice.
Evon Gnashblade: “If I am elected to the Captain’s Council, I’ll show my gratitude for your support in the following ways:” Thank-you gift anyone?
“Ellen” Kiel: “If I’m fortunate enough to earn a position on the Captain’s Council, here’s what you can expect from Ellen Kiel:” Bribe anyone?

Let’s face the truth. They are both bribes, just as all campaign promises are.

He hair-picks the phrasing, I can do it too :P

It’s more than a fractal. Fractals have lore tied to them from the mists. A developer comment and npc dialogue in game. Blatantly says that Thaumanova explosion messed up space time.

Yes, it blatantly says that. Your second sentence is rendered incomprehensible by lack of context, and the first is (as far as any of us really know) a blatant lie. It’s more than a fractal why? Because it gives us some lore? So does the FoA.

I’m not really for one side or the other personally, just presenting another perspective on it beyond the scope of charr/human/Fractal/discount support. ~snip~

I think half of your points and a good portion of other text decidedly does not concur with the above sentence. Much of your wording and phrasing suggests this to be intended to give weight to the Kiel idea that “A vote for Evon is a vote for RNG,” which is just starting to get a bit silly if you know what I mean.

Oh, and, dicing more hair, I also notice that you completely ignore how Evon says “With your support,” while honing in on Kiel’s phrase “I’ll need your help,” which only seems to indicate another spot in which she will have Kormir Syndrome.

“Zephyr Sanctum” suggests the floating ship-thing that the Zephyrites live on. It is an object that flies around, and that they live on. “Zephyrites” suggests the people of Zephyr (or the body of the people of Zephyr)

The WP discount saves the average person 5g in 4 weeks. [snip]

This 5g is based on what numbers? And where did those numbers come from?

Thin air of course, just like any statistic posted on the internet.

Exactly my point. They are completely baseless and therefore useless.

Smart players know the Thaumanova Reactor fractal will mix chaos energy with the Mists. Creating unstable space time that would have effects outside FOTM.

I understand why you said what you said, but this comment just comes off as snarky and condescending. Also, you can’t exactly base the entirety of your argument off of speculation created by an intentionally enigmatic post, even if it is by an Anet employee. It just doesn’t hold water.

[snipped for shortness]

I don’t believe they ever, Ever looked into destroyers. I don’t think he’s looking for more gods to worship etc (the Charr have pretty much sworn off worship, and rely on iron, not false gods), but quite the opposite. Their former gods, the Titans, were minions of Abbadon. Abbadon’s fall could be very interesting to some of a race who were once ruled by minions of Abbadon.

The entire legion of charr called the Flame Legion would like to have a word with you about their god.

I suggest not opening the door.

The Flame Legion can worship whoever they want, they are not representative of the Charr as a whole. We all know it because their nameplates are red. :P On a more serious note, they don’t yet actually have Baelfire as a god, he simply wants to become a god…the rest of us simply want to kill him.

The Charr were originally beaten back because the 5 human gods gave magic to the Humans. At that time the Charr were at such a disadvantage that they went in search of their own gods. They looked to the titans, which offered magic to them in exchange for worship. The Legion who got magic was the flame legion. The Titans were proven to be false gods, so the Flame legion looked to the destroyers who were also prove to be false gods. The Flame legion did a lot of bad things to the other legions out of there position of superiority and are now the enemy of the rest of the Legions.

Evon could be flame legion looking for yet another god, but I always thought he was Ash Legion. The latest attempt of the Flame legion to get a god was the attempts of Baelfire, so they are still trying to get a god of their own.

Anyway lore link: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Flame_Legion
Edit: Having read Sergoros post, it doesn’t seem backwards, it seems to fit.
Edit: 5 gods, 6th came later.

Read it again. Slowly this time:

They are echoes of the past, *and even when we became pseudo-charr in the alternate Searing, we retained our skills, traits, magical aptitude… everything.* (I think it was actually Dessa’s trick to make us look charr, so our “allies” would not smite us on sight.) *It is incomprehensible that we would become the gods themselves, even briefly, as a faint memory of Tyria.* _*Since we and the gods are separate entities – different personalities, magic, soul, etc.*_

_It would also be a pretty silly that our level of magical power jumps a gazillion levels for 30 mins then drops back to the original level – *with the energy going nowhere.* Yeah, it’s a fantasy world, but even physics have to remain believable up to some point._

Fractals are an echo of the past, played out in the present. Playing as one of the 5 gods would fit into this idea. And replacing skills isn’t something new. Costume brawl, Keg brawl, Sanctum Sprint, Hunger Games (beta test finale), upcoming Southsun Survival, WvW, etc., all have your skills replaced. I’ve never heard any players upset with this.

*cough* Canach/Null fight *cough cough*

I’m not trying to compare or replace them, it is just a quote that I think can be applied to the Human Gods as well. I do agree that the Human Gods and the Spirits of the Wild are incredibly different pantheons and cannot, by the nature of what they are, be compared and contrasted, but I think you are missing the entire point (that sentence, imo, can be applied to both, because they are both in the state of awareness of the world, but do not always respond to prayers (unless they are from the player ;P ) ).

[snip]People who love dungeons may pick Abbadon. While people who do more PvE may pick Thaumanova.

Just to start, this is very bad categorization. Dungeons ARE PvE, just in a more organized form (imagine 5-person party going through several personal storyline missions strung together in the same area and designed for a 5-man group). Categories aside, this is disgustingly gross stereotyping and simplifying of something that can be much more complicated.

The spirits of the wild are not the human gods. The spirits of the wild are beasts in the mist that the shamans commune with to gain insight in their troubles.

The Spirits of the Wild have nothing to do with my point, I was just directly quoting from the game something the could be applied (where “the Spirits of the Wild” can be replaced with the Human Gods). I thought I had made that clear. If not, sorry.

[snip] PLUS the fall of abbadon, it could explain what happened to the human gods we loved in gw1 but have now vanished in gw2…….[snip]

The Fall of Abbadon fractal predates Pre-Searing GW1 by over 1,000 years, and is about when the other gods kicked Abbadon’s butt so hard the sea floor rose up to become a desert. So no, not really.
