Yeah I’ve seen 3 in the last two days. Looks like DR is working as intended…

The only colour combination that looks horrid is a boring one or overused by many.

The yellow/blue looks nice TBH. Is the yellow actually ‘gold’?

The sole reason why this happens is because you have a 100% chance of getting at least one rare. Do the same for all the dragons and/or meta-event bosses, and you end up with more rares (possibly exotic) than rummaging around the zones fighting mobs.

The way I do it.

1) Check if rune sells for much more than the item and much more than 5 ectos. If it does, salvage the item and sell rune. If it doesn’t then go to 2).
2) Check if item sells for much more than 5 ectos. If it does then sell the item. If it does not then go to 3).
3) Salvage the item and sell the rune if you do not want it.

By the time I was doing level 30-40 events I was level 70+. Basically I completed many maps and did crafting. You will still get scaled down but will have better gear so it will make story progression quicker.

Yes, currrently there are only two out of the six items. With the story progressing more will become available.

Digital surround sound and GPU driver versions have been known to cause issues with game loading and craashing. If my memory serves me right Half-Life 2 is an example.

This may not be the issue here but sound overloading due to the zerg may be what is causing your driver to crash. Like it was mentioned before – turn sound quality down.

I think some players draw too much attention to such things. This is a game and if you cannot distinguish this from reality then you sir have an issue.

Low level blue gives you 10-30 copper, while a high level blue gives 60-90 copper. This is balanced by the travel costs as well.

I think it makes sense.

Since the last patch I get 1/4 to 1/4 junki/nothing regardless of where I am. I move between zones constantly but for some reason my loot is much worse than before.

Since last patch my loot quality is much worse – junk/nothing 1/4 to 1/3 of the time.

The moment I see broken fangs or porous bones appear several times is when I finish my daily and log off. This is how I am “forced” to play your game ANet…

I have not gotten one rare from PvE mobs. Quarter, if not a third, is junk/nothing – constantly.

I’ve been changing zones frequently and since the new patch my drops, overall, have become much much muuuuch worse.

Seems like the good loot is concentrated at DE bosses.

‘Old Sledge Site’ Waypoint in ‘Mount Maelstrom’ has lots of bugs and frogs if you’re sick of knocking out bunnies dead cold.

It may be a bit ghoulish, but freezing bunnies makes me giggle. The death animation is priceless. And yeah, those bunnies are probably descendants of the evil GW1 bunnies and totally deserve it. They’re planning world domination while tricking us into thinking they’re harmless.

I agree with this. I love killing the ambient creatures with fire / ice / lightning and watching their different animations (I’m particularly fond of the fire rabbit death animation where it looks like its trying to put out the fire with its paws). I’m probably a horrible person because of it, but oh well.

Arcane Blast is a lol for me. The mobs just rise up like gods but then are shocked into oblivion.

I has literaly taken me less than 1 hour to complete any daily set since the new varieties were introduced.

I think people should stop focusing so much on the daily and play the game – you will pleasently surprised when that little chest pops up soon after.

DR is all good, it forces you to change events once

farming is already bad; but camp farming is the lazyiest you can be and its not good for the game.

Forces you to change? Dude, I’ve been frequently moving around zones in the past two days and half my loot is still either junk or nothing…The only rare I received was when I did Behemoth because it was finally fixed.

As far as I know DR is still kittening players around.

Neither will I ever have 100%. I got 3 POI and 3 Vistas left and the only way to get them is be on the RED server – I’ve been waiting for my server to be RED for 5 weeks now.

Seriously, why can’t servers be rotated. This would solve the problem.

I think ANet did the right thing with DE boss loot – however the negative side effect is the mass lag which may be partially due to guesting.

The only issue I have is the mass ammount of lag.

So the new dailies have variety in them and suddenly they are considred a grind?

I think some players need to recall what the daily was like before…

Tried doing Shadow Behemoth, I was not put into overflow but man that was some laggy kitten poop.

People seem to complain about stuff they don’t know how to tackle…which results in them feeling CBF.

I looked into the monthly crafter and initially though it had to be tier 5 and 6 items but then tried to do tier 1 masterwork and it worked. I though, hey this is nice. 40 masterworks of any tier sounds decent.

This happend to me with the shadow behemoth….total kitten IMO.

Malchor’s Leap – between Rayhan Bayt and Pagga’s Post POI’s. Few trees there but are usually guarded.

IMO, this is to stop players from constantly getting quick rewards especially with low level bosses. The thing is though, DE boses have a timer that lasts several hours.

I like this implementation. Now the only question I have – when will my ANet point be converted to laurels?

The new patch does look promising. Thank You ANet. I just hope the reward system will imrove for me – last few days I have been getting more junk than not.

Umm are these the only options we have? I’m sure ANet would not restrict the 40 kills just in the ascalonian and norn zones – that is biased.

My perfect daily would be

- Seek the Laurel vendor
- Craft 10 items
- Dodge 25 times
- 40 kills
- 5 events

I need to see this new daily thing…

I feel that to make the 5-10G per pay that people are suggesting, you need to invest a fair ammount of time using the TP.

I am currently sitting at 31G and been playing since October last year. Given that I may have spend the same ammount and being a casual gamer I would have maybe 70G by now if not spend on anything other than the neccesities.

I suspect that those who make this ammount per day are just constantly running dungeons and using the TP. I myself can make around 1G per couple of hours.

Just spend gold on gems when exchange is off peak time as in not holiday/discount period. Then you will have a stash of gems at the ready for when a discount happens or you want to get items for holidays. That or you can of course spend some real money to support Anet

Exchange gold to gems during off peak times? Have you seen gold-to-gem price considerably drop at any stage? I sure haven’t. There was no off peak, there is no off peak, and there will be no off peak; and I’m betting the price will keep on going up because the gem pool is limited.

Players undercut so that they are next in line to get the sell order done. If they undercut by small margin then they want to maximise their profit, however, if they undercut by a large margin then they still want to make profit but improves the probability that someone will buy it sooner than later.

Go fight some karkas. Their first attack shoots severp pins at you and you can complete this in matter of minutes.

The only problem I have with this is that it does not work underwater!!!

I took me couple of days with couple of hour sper day to get this done. The only part that I didn’t enjoy much was the 5 dungeons….bleeeeeeeh.

The real question is whether they’re losing players faster than gaining them. I’m not seeing it.

I can support the negative outcome of this by saying the following:

As long as a company is selling their product at the release price, then it is thriving. If, however, the company begins to frequently present specials in the form of gaining extras when bying the product or selling it at a %OFF sale (etc.), then it can be said the either a) the company is slowing down, or b) the company is losing profit.

Now look at how many special sales we have seen in the past few months and ask yourself – Is GW2 as strong as it was several months ago? I suspect it is not.

Currently, I feel that the Reward vs Time is unbalanced – and I feel getting jibbed.

I’m curious, assuming the argument that a 20% discount should apply to the gem exchange rate (I think people here have done a good job of explaining why the sale isn’t a sale on the exchange, so lets leave that be). What system do you use to create a moving 20% discount on exchange, keeping in mind that the supply of gems is not unlimited, and that the exchange does not fabricate gems?

The bolded part suggests that as the gold-to-gem rate increases so will the price exchange since we have a limited supply of gems and thus moving closer to the supply limit.

So in other words, ANet needs to adjust the exchange rate price so that a) the economy has supply of gems for continuous exchanging and b) so hat ANet does not have to add more gems to the economy.

Now going back to the apple and oranges comparison.

Real money to gem = oranges
Game money to gem = apples

In terms of exchange both are fruit and round but the difference arrises with regards to the % OFF sale price which makes this not a real comparison becaue they are DIFFERENT fruit. As was stated before, the main purpose of the sale specials is to attract more real money to gem conversion, and that is fair enough. I still feel ripped off though and you would be surprised how often this occurs in real life (i.e. price before and price during speicals nto actually equating to the % OFF difference).

The sale was on the price of two items in the gem store. These items are priced in gems. A 20% discount to the price was applied.

Trying to claim a 20% discount in the price of an item in gems should equate to a 20% discount in the floating exchange rate of gold to gems is nonsensical.

Have you ever seen an item in real life cost say $100 before the sale, and during a 20% OFF sale it costs $90? This is very similar, however the onyl thing that differs is that ANet predicts that the price of gems will go up and hence in the end it is not a 20% OFF sale, but much less. It is a marketing gimmick.

Where was this posted that ANet would limit chest spawn for certain DE bosses?

I understand that this being low level boss means the fight is easy for the constant reward, however, this boss has a timer just like the others of higher level, so stealth nerfing this has no merit IMO.

If not, then try the other priories.

Many of the general gameplay sinks (i.e. Repairs, Salvage Kits, WP’s etc.) can be offset, and concurently made insignificant, by playing the game. This is not a hard task and why the prices of the sinks are what they are.
