I pugged every dungeon easily... as a Ranger

You fail to see why people don’t want rangers in their group, of all the classes, they are the worst. Theres no way around it. They don’t bring anything to the table when it comes to HELPING the group.

No one is saying that rangers can’t do dungeons, they are saying that a different class like a guardian in the same hands is going to be better than a ranger hands down every time.

I did Hotw story last night with a ranger in my group, he had full MF gear and stood in the back auto attacking, he did nothing to help the group as far as boons, or dps or kiting but he made it threw.

The dungeons are easy as most have been solo’d already, but people like going as fast as possible and as easy as possible, you can’t do either with a ranger in your group because there not good at anything. Sorry boss.

My ranger has no issues with any teams nor do I have any problems with rangers in my teams based on the fact that they are rangers.

There are some valid things that ANET needs to address for ranger pve but as far as dungeon running goes knowledge of mechanics and being geared matter far more than the profession.

Some clarification on dungeon class balance

in Fractals, Dungeons & Raids

Posted by: DeathPanel.8362

DeathPanel.8362

I haven’t actually started running dungeons yet in Guild Wars 2, but in I’ve always been an avid PvE player in any mmo I’ve played. And it didn’t take long on these forums to know that War, Mes, Guard are the best classes in dungeons.

The thing I’m confused about is that most posts I see talk about class discrimination in PuGs, and the annoyances that come with that. A lot of people seem to respond with things like “ignore those groups” or “play with you’re friends/guildies” and the like. From the posts I’ve seen there hasn’t been many signs that there is a lot of outrage over the fact that there are 3 classes that far outpace every other class in dungeon viability (as opposed outrage over getting passed over in PuGs because of your class).

Am I just missing something? Because it really sounds like there is a pretty horrible issue with the class balance that people aren’t angry enough about. My current highest character is an Ele, and while they aren’t known for being the worst in dungeons, in makes me nervous to think that I’ll be having an unnecessarily hard time in dungeons compared to other professions. And while you might say not to worry about speed runs and such, I actually like being able to perform in some sort of optimum capacity when I’m doing PvE.

TL;DR Haven’t gotten into GW2 dungeons yet. Why do people seem more angry about class discrimination rather than the profession-balance issue that causes it.

Feel free to disregard me if I’m just being an idiot.

Knowing the mechanics and gear/build matters alot more than your profession.

Obviously there are some builds and professions that rise above others but it doesn’t really matter as you can do any dungeon with any combination of professions fairly easily as long as the team is experienced and geared. (Except maybe high fotm, where a guard and/or mes helps alot.)

Since when? lol.

Hello guys,

We seem to have a lot of trouble with the legendary shaman at lvl 20, he is such a kitten.. the trouble seems to be the phase where he spawns his grubs. we manage to get him to the last time he spawns them but then just wipe all the time. Is there any effective way of dealing with this at this level without being racist towards classes ?

3 guards, 2 mesmer or 2 guards and 3 mesmer and you should pass this pretty easily.

Hell, both of them takes upwards of 30 minutes depending on setup and player concentration at the time, but yeah, as Dusk said, Dredge at least gives me 30-40 bags. Only thing Cliffside gives me is a headache and time to get a drink when someone falls off the puzzle.

I would say dredge is worse after the stealth kit nerf.

For cliffside as long as your teammates can pay attention and not kill the targetted mob and only kill from one side to charge the hammer it’s pretty straightforward.

This is an unedited post that I spent a small amount of time writing about a month ago. It’s redundant and needed work but I don’t have the time to commit to it right now. I felt bad in not posting it because I believe there’s important information in here for the people that are always kittening “I got kicked from this group for no reason!” Fyi, there’s always a reason, and this is the large majority of reasons my group used to kick TONS of people. Anyway, the post:

Dungeon Etiquette: Attitude and Behavior…

Some decent points, others not so much.

Some encounters can only be done with ranged and going melee is actually rather risky in higher fotm for example.

Some of the things in your “unacceptable” category while detrimental are common for pugs. If you use that as your standard then you’ll be stuck trying to find teammates for a long time.

It would be better to publish a list of TRULY unacceptable things as the absolute baseline where those actions will cause team failure rather than setting the bar so high as to be infeasible for pug teams since most of the things you list are annoyances that can be worked around.

Is it worth buying 'ascended accessories'

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Can’t comparable accessories be bought with guild mission tokens x12? That’s much more feasible than laurels/ectos.

Actually it’s not.

It takes a ton of coordination and prep time to do each bounty not to mention possible ganking from other guilds and the reward chest is once per week meaning it will take you 6 weeks to get enough tokens for just 1 earring even considering you succeed at the bounty each time you are involved and that your guild does it every week.

i have my ascended rings and ascended amulet on my main character. i dont have the ascended accessories yet. i was thinking of buying them from the laurel vendor however you need 40 laurels and 50 ectos to buy one ascended accessory . my question is, is this worth it? the stats on the ascended accessories are much lower compared to the ascended amulet and rings but much more expensive in terms of laurels. should i save up and buy something else? i would like to hear your opinions as well on this matter.

Yes.

Although I’d recommend you do the guild bounties at the same time as saving laurels so you can get both earrings simultaneously. (The guild bountie version will take longer due to the chest being weekly and it takes 6 weeks of successes for enough recommendations.)

The extra AR is worth it.

To claim that the whole map just hate barraged you and blocked you after you only “suggested it ONCE” is extraordinary.

And I see you’ve shown your true colors by telling me to “shut up”. Obviously only your words count and the moment someone else suggests an alternative to your little story you HATE BARRAGE them and try to shut them up.

the raw concetration of force was the reason we lost the entire EB, they devided us, cut is off at the spawn and wrecked our keep, we in the meantime only defended Anza which was under consistent siege.

we had nothing to lose by trying to divert their forces to the other borderlands, cause we didn’t even have a supply post left.

But its not even about my plan being good or bad, for me the it was all about the beyond appropriate reactions I got for throwing out my 2 cents and give a suggestion.

if we all start doing this, we’ll go back to beating our heads mindlessly on the SM gates because the glorified thug who purchased commander instantly reserves all right for speech.

The main problem is I don’t buy your story. The whole zone does not simply just “hate barrage” and block one person for “having a good idea”.

It’s always everyone elses fault when I see complaint posts like this. Maybe you should reflect on what you did and figure out why it is that everyone else but you thought your idea was great.

No, WvW might be about coordination – but it is NOT alright to hate barrage on someone who throws in a good idea. If people cannot understand that, they will always lose on team-based games. Coordination doesn’t mean to exclude everyone from trying to help with the strategy – if you want that, then play some RTS game. But not a MMO.

Also I have to excuse, but I am not unpolite – I simply find it sickening how the hate barrage would just roll into this topic aswell. And as long as I’m around, I will defy any unreasonable comment – I know what teamplay is about. I know how to play as a team. Ever heard the phrase “There is no ‘I’ in the word Team”? That also applies to WvW and the Commander. Thank you.

You seem to not grasp the fact that things don’t just happen in a vacuum. People don’t just “hate barrage” others because they “had a good idea”.

What most likely really happened is the OP tried to give a bunch of contradictory and bad advice in /shout or /team against the commander and continued to spam /shout or /team until the whole map blocked him.

It always sounds rosy when they are the ones presenting the story from only their side.

You obviously have very little experience in WVW since you don’t understand the damage that can be done to coordination by trolls and other back seat commanders(people with no commander tag but still spamming orders) who spam /shout or /team thinking they had a “great idea” when in reality it’s terrible.

FYI, for future reference. If you are getting steamrolled switching borderlands is not going to help, since they can switch as well and steamroll you on whatever borderlands you decide to switch to.

This is not necessarily true. We have left a bl to go to another one and left a crew at the original BL. We started taking things on the servers home bl and some of them moved to stop us. This left the original BL much easier to deal with.

This can be a good tactic if done right.

Not correct.

If you are already massively disadvantaged leaving a “crew” behind in the original BL would not make things easier even if they split up their forces to stop you in the new BL since your crew left over is still a far smaller force and wouldn’t be able to really make any difference.

The only way that would make a difference is if they miscalculated and left a far bigger force in the original BL while your crew in the original BL does hit and run on supply depots and other objectives while moving a smaller force to try to stop you in the new BL.

What it really comes down to is raw concentration of force.

Sorry but I disagree with you DeathPanel – Teamplay isn’t about “One team – everyone shuts up except the leader”. So basically – I call bullkitten on what you just said.

You are just the perfect example how unpolite people lower the reputation of TC in general. EVERYONE can make a game-deciding suggestion, only closed up minds think “Oh we must blindly follow the Commander!”

Thank you – I rather think you should leave for another server, cause THAT behavior you encourage there, is downstraight embarassing and sickening.

Wrong.

WVW about coordination, and coordination is impossible with everyone and their uncle having their own say on what to do in /shout or /team.

All that would do is cause people to be confused and break up the limited coordination that exists as it is.

I’ve done nothing but state facts as they are. Just because you don’t agree doesn’t mean it’s “unpolite”. It’s in fact rather “unpolite” of you to make all these ridiculous and baseless assumptions about me.

(sorry if this is in the wrong location.)

if we don’t agree with what people say, on Tarnished Coast, we got rushed by like an entire server we lost EVERYTHING so, I thought maybe JUST maybe, we should try our luck elsewhere(meaning a borderland or something). I know, stupid right? suggesting something?

cause I instantly got a flame barrage of bullkitten directed at me and moments later I was declared a troll for voicing my opinion, next time I’ll fill in a form and ask if I could please be allowed to say something, I got instant ignored and all that nonesense, normally I wouldn’t care, but this was like.. I didn’t get a SINGLE sensible answer, just flame, had they said ‘’nah we’ll be fine here’’ or ‘’we can win’’ I would’ve shutup and helped but they instantly went ‘’Why don’t you leave noob?‘’ and ’’ignore the troll’’(that’s ignoring the actual trash talk) someone should really write a long wiki to explain to these people what a troll is.

my question being, WTF is wrong with you people?

People don’t like it when people complain in /shout or /team since that is usually reserved for the commander to give directions or others to talk about things relevant to the fight rather than just complaining.

Additional comments from people that’s not that commander adds to confusion and misdirection and causes problems.

And if you are the commander, complaining instead of actually working around the situation or finding a solution just makes things worse.

You don’t like something, then you are free to leave and go elsewhere. The additional complaining in /shout and/or /team is not helpful and it’s not surprising people blocked you.

FYI, for future reference. If you are getting steamrolled switching borderlands is not going to help, since they can switch as well and steamroll you on whatever borderlands you decide to switch to.

Your alleged “social life” doesn’t entitle you to free things.

If you don’t invest time and effort in something then you don’t get the reward.

That’s a fact of life.

Dailies don’t mimic anything in life though. I work 40 hours per week in 4 days and get paid the same as someone who works 5 days per week 8 hours per day for the same job. According to your logic, the guy working 5 days per week should get paid more then me, just because he is there more days.

The fact is in this game, someone can put in more time and effort then someone else, and get rewarded less.

So quit saying what I quoted, because in this game it is not true at all for so many things.

Now Mackdose.6504 made a compelling counter argument that makes a good point

While that would work on paper, it also counters why dailies were put in: to get people playing every day to populate the open world.

With the weekly, we’d see overflow weekends and dead non-peak.

I never said gw2 was like every job. That’s your strawman.

I simply said in this life it’s unreasonable to expect a reward when you don’t put in the investment in time and/or effort.

Your analogy about work and dailies is incorrect.

The correct analogy would be if you were being paid hourly with 8 hours/day but you choose to not show up 3 days out of a week yet you still expect to be paid for those 3 days.

I’m just curious though, since dailies cover so many parts of the game, how exactly do you play the game? How do you pass the time? The only PvE part of the game that isn’t covered by dailies are the dungeons. However, if you compare a person who runs some dungeons over a few hours to someone meandering the word, the dungeon runner’s loot will outweigh the the other person’s.

I am wondering the exact same thing. Dailies are ridiculously easy to get if I try(< 15 minutes), and if I don’t try, I still get them in about an hour.

Exactly.

People who don’t do them don’t deserve to complain.

Reward is for time invested. It’s a fact in this game as well as in life in general.

No time invested = no reasonable expectation of reward.

Interessting I’m perfectly well getting this concept because I was encountering it in many other MMOs and which was why I bought this particular one because it somehow seemed that it was putting quite alot of emphasis on the fact that you could keep your own playstyle to enjoy without loosing your chance for BiS gear. Once and again I’m not talking about the fluff I’m talking about the limited and timeconsuming way to obtain ascended and the question what will happening once that year is over.

That’s your opinion, and one that’s not informed by rational thinking or facts.

Ascended via laurels is anything but time consuming. It’s at most 1 hour a day worst case scenario, and most days can be done in less than 30 minutes by anyone who knows what they are doing.

Even if you don’t log in every day you will still be able to get ascended eventually, nothing is blocked for you.

Ultimately you and people who complain like you are just disgruntled that the universe doesn’t revolve around your particular schedules. It’s a sad day for you but I’m certainly not going to lose any sleep over it.

Alright. So, I have been playing this game a long time. I kinda feel bored about it. What i feel this game is that this game is just so peace. You can not kill others in the leveling area, can not duel others, even can not check others’ armor. There is like totally no drama!!! But, you know, drama is actually the main thing keep people playing games.

However, those are not the main thing I want to talk about today. Now, here is the big question. Where is the kittening guild wars!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I was interested in this game, it is because I like the idea of “guild wars”. The idea of my guild is better than yours! Your guild is junk! You know, dramas!!!!!! Guild wars 1, at least have GVG pvp. But for Guildwars 2, it’s not making sense to me. Where the kitten is the guild wars?!!!! Why don’t you guys making the game name “Zhaitanwars”! GG!!!!

The things you are complaining about are what makes gw2 a great game.

Griefing, pking, and drama are what ruins online games.

It may all sound good to you until you get griefed or pked in low level zones.

Wasn’t that actually what they said they wanted to avoid? And didn’t they claim it to be the other way round. That subscription based game had to grab their people lure them into skinner-boxes to keep their subscriptions up?

And now they have to grab into the old “do your dailies” box from the normal MMOs out there?

How can you ever guarantie me I’m NOT loosing anything? What happens after this year when most of the people have ascended beside those who started to believe in that constant uhh it’s optional statement?

And btw I stopped doing those dailies and I decided not to chase that gear but tbh it feels like I put an expiry date on my account.

I already explained before in this thread about the need for an consistently online playerbase for the health of any mmo.

You are NOT losing anything because it’s your CHOICE to NOT invest the time/effort in the dailies even though it is open to you. You are NOT penalized for not doing dailies. Your argument is ridiculous and unfounded.

Give me a proper reason why it is necessary gameplaywise to log in daily and fullfill some tasks.

Because the playerbase is hurt by a lack of people online. Part of the value of a MMO is online players.

Subscription based games like WOW has a natural incentive for people to log in often because they paid for the monthly fee to play but games like GW2 needs another way to incentivize people and they came out with the dailies.

It helps the game for players to be more consistently online than online during extended sessions but offline the rest of the week.

That’s the calculation GW2 and other non subscription games have used to incentivize players to be online more consistently.

At the end of the day the bottom line is this is an OPTIONAL feature and you lose NOTHING for not using it. The choice is ultimately the player’s, and that’s the simple fact that seems to escape complainers here.

You are acting like changing daily to Weekly is a bad idea, like it would ruin the fabric of the universe. For a game that is targeted towards a casual market, dailys seem like a bad idea for that market, where as weekly would be better for that market.

And the point of my post you quoted is that Time/reward comment that I quoted wasn’t exactly accurate, because someone who can play considerably less gets rewarded more. So time has nothing to do with it, just the ability to log in every day.

And then I gave a good solution to where people can actually get rewarded for their time/effort.

Wrong again. I don’t care either way. I only accept what is reality and work around that reality unlike you.

Maybe you haven’t realized this, but GW2 is a MMO and like all MMOs it needs a consistently online playerbase, not one that logs in for 7 hours in 1 session then is offline for the whole week. That’s the whole point of these dailies and I’ve seen similar things implemented for other MMOs without subscriptions.

If you can do a “weekly” by simply logging in once for a 7 hour session rather than logging in once every day then the playerbase would suffer.

Besides, there’s already a bulk monthly reward. You can’t expect every single reward system to be geared 100% to your personal schedule.

If you choose to skip a few dailies then you have no right to complain about not getting laurels on those days since rewards are based on time/effort invested as is the standard for reward for ALL mainstream online MMOs.

It would be unfair to those that actually put time in to get their laurels on those days for you to get any special consideration.

Time and effort you say? I play 24 hours per week, but only on 3 days per week, I get 3 laurels per week. Some guildies of mine only play 1-2 hours a day for 7 days a week, and they get 7 laurels.

I’m sorry, but getting laurels has nothing to do with time, it is just logging in every day play for 1 hour and get the reward.

Wrong. It’s entirely up to you to only play 3 days a week. Too bad(for you) the universe doesn’t revolve around you and your schedule.

You yourself admit that it doesn’t take long to get the dailies. (1 hour)

If you can’t manage that despite admitting you play 24 hours a week then that’s your own problem and not ANET’s.

Actually, since inflation does occur in the economy, time/effort is not fixed. It will actually increase as more Gold chases a fewer items.

Except the rewards from the dailies are not tradeable on the trading post and contribute nothing to inflation.

The only conceivable way that it could maybe affect the market is if you trade in laurels for dyes, which not only is not an efficient way to get dyes people wouldn’t do it anyway since they save laurels for amulets/earrings.

The major thing is Laurels. Currently the ONLY way to get laurels, is by doing the daily and monthly achievements. Therefore you can get 1 laurel per day, with a bonus 10 per month, giving you 40-41 laurels a month if you do your dailies/monthlies always. There is no way to recover from not being able to do 1 of your dailies, you will fall behind.

There’s no such thing as falling behind. Gear progression doesn’t continue to infinity. You will reach the eventual ceiling just like everyone else given the same amount of time/effort.

If you choose to skip a few dailies then you have no right to complain about not getting laurels on those days since rewards are based on time/effort invested as is the standard for reward for ALL mainstream online MMOs.

It’s called daily wars for a reason, everything from dragons to dungeon rewards revolve around dailies. It’s pathetic, why I quit playing. GW2 wasn’t the best of games before, but now that I have to log in every day to keep up is just… WoW 2.0

Especially with laurels… lawl, terrible terrible design. “play your way” yeah right.. maybe if you wanna be poor the entirety of the game and never get ascended gear.

If you can’t even be bothered to log in occasionally to do simple tasks in exchange for END GAME gear then MMO games as an entire genre is not for you.

While you are at it you might as well not play any other online games where there’s ANY progression whatsoever because if you can’t even stand the minimal effort that it takes to do dailies(Which is completely OPTIONAL) in GW2 then you aren’t cut out to do anything.

In fact just quit online games all together and save us from your inane rants on the forums. That would be much appreciated.

Hmm…. I’m still not using a Shout or Banner and I’m doing fine in upper FoTM….

You’re either being carried by your teams or your idea of “upper” FOTM is lvl 10.

Newly 80 - What should I gear?

Didn’t want to make a new thread updating my gear so I’ll just add. I’m now in full Knights Exo gear. No runes or gems. I still have my lvl 78+ green/rare rings/acc/ammy… I’m aiming for a shout build that supports with boons while doing decent damage. I’m looking at runes right now. Should I get soldier runes and then go zerk ring/acc/ammy or soldier ring..etc and a zerk type rune set?

Soldiers runes if you run alot of shouts and want to remove conditions.

Or alternatively you can go 2x sup water, 2x sup monk, 2x major sanctuary. (Or 3x sup water, 3x sup monk) for added boon duration.

I’m not sure if there is a comprehension problem here. Unless I’m being too subtle, I believe I have already said that burning builds excel in soloing. I never claimed burning builds are good for grouping. In fact, I agree that they suck in that situation for the reasons you and everyone else have already listed. In solo play, burning isn’t impacted by its restrictions as a condition damage type.

Focusing on a burning build for solo farming is an additional, reliable and consistent damage output for the kinds of mobs you will encounter. I guess if having the equivalent of a second weapon hitting for 650-700 per second ‘sucks’, so be it.

Wrong again. I’ve already pointed out it does not excel in soloing and why.

You are just spreading misinformation by pretending that condition build for guardians has anything to offer over the actual viable alternatives, which it doesn’t.

There’s no cleric stat for dungeon.

The closest one you can get is healing/prec/vit.

Best choice is AC or HOTW.

Dailies are a punishment to some

This game is suppose to be play how you want and I love that BUT i do not like the dailies because I don’t want to “slay 40 monsters at X” or “kill 10 enemes in WvW”. Granted, I am not forced to do them but I am certainly punish if I don’t and I think that’s quite unfair in a “play how you want” game.

How exactly am I punished? Economically. Everyone who completes the dailies gets some silvers + mystic coin + a Jar of karma accompanied by some experience.

I have no problem with the fact that players are being rewarded for playing in a certain way but I do have a problem when that reward directly punish people who don’t. What this means is that gold will be inflated(thanks to money and coin reward + karma conversion to gold) and thus, the people who completes dailies will NEGATIVELY impact others who don’t.

Experience and achievement points are okay because it directly reward the intended player but does not negatively impact others, unlike the monetary reward.

Thoughts?

What a ridiculous argument. It’s completely your option to do dailies or not. Just because other people got rewarded for doing something that you can also do but refuse to doesn’t mean you are punished.

The effectiveness of builds are relevant to the content they are used in and how well they suit a players style. Your statements are too general to have meaning. For example, AH/shout build is not better than my burning build for solo farming. We have a bit of a conundrum then.

Wrong again. AH/Shout build is not gear based, meaning I can swap in clerics, knights, or berserker gear based on the situation.

While your condition based build limits you to only condition damage gear like rabid or carrion.

With a full set of berserker gear or even knights gear I can easily out farm you in a solo farming situation with an AH/Shout build.

Burning as a condition simply don’t do sufficient damage to warrant all the loss in dps and survivability to gear for it and has no useful secondary effects. You can accuse me of using that as a general statement but the bottom line is that general statement is true.

Hmm, it’s again a “fact”….because you/whoever said so? But ok, lets asume the Warrior does very good damage while literally doing less then other professions. It still does not make him stronger, because the other professions can do the same damage (while maybe putting more effort behind it).

No, it’s a fact because it’s been proven through player and community experience over the past few months the game has been out.

Guardians and Mesmers simply have class mechanics that make them far more useful to teams, as I’ve already explained.

I have 8 lvl 80s and run dungeons with all 8 regularly. Warriors out damage all other classes period.

It’s up to you if you want to ignore the general consensus based on experience but it doesn’t change reality.

You can argue that anything would be better for whatever scenario you like; I personally don’t see how it’s relevant to a focused discussion on burn builds. I also don’t think anyone here is the authority on what ‘is a good thing to do’ on a Guardian; as long as you know how to play your build, you aren’t at risk of ever being bad.

We aren’t putting a man on the moon here; there is room for variations. There isn’t some rule that everyone needs to play the most optimized build always. I can assure you that the guy who has optimized his burning build is more than capable of holding his own weight and supporting any group activity without being in the top 1% of damage dealing Guardians.

There are nice advantages to burning builds that people like, even if most of them are superficial. If you don’t see that, I don’t understand what you are adding to the conversation. Some people like burning builds and know how to play them better than some people that throw on Knights armor and run a shout/AH build. I’ll team the completely self-aware burner over the fumbling AH/shout guy any day.

Wrong. There are simply builds that are not good in this game and condition guardian currently is a bad build unless they make major changes to how burn works and add more ways for guardians to apply burn.

Your statement regarding the self aware burner over fumbling AH guy is a strawman.

The same player with the same skills will simply be less effective using a condition build vs AH build.

Now the question is…are you just saying that or is that really true? Because I believe most of the people just think that warriors and guardians are this strong and whatever. I mean, I am no theorycrafter or anything like that, but is there any proof to that? Or is it just:" Man, this guy got some shiny armor and a greatsword, swinging it like crazy, so those warriors must be really strong"- kind of thing?

It’s true for guardians for obvious reasons. (Aegis, reflects, protection, regen, etc)

Anyone with decent experience in dungeons knows guardians are key to teams.

Warriors aren’t known for their survivability but really their dps. (when geared appropriately)

Mesmer is useful for timewarp, reflects, portals, and their dps as well.

No other classes come close to that level of utility. (Maybe thieves for team stealth effects could be useful, but that’s really situational.)

Your 1 stack of burn(max 1) is not going to do any noticeable damage over time compared to any other classes who specialize in conditions, and certainly a drop in the bucket compared to zerk builds.

Unless they make burning stackable, condition guardian is not a viable alternative in any type of play.

1. What are These Builds and classes that specialize in burn?

2. I assume you did the math to back half of that Statement up. of course a zerker Build Provides more damage then carrion. But that’s like comparing carrion to soldiers. So i suggest. Not everyone linkes to be a Glass cannon.

If you check your facts i suggest starting with comparing autoattack dps and then work your way up.

Cheers

The difference is I know my facts while people like you don’t. I never said any classes specialized in burn, because burn as a condition is simply bad.

Thinking carrion gear would actually help your dps be anything other than pathetic as a guardian is an astounding admission of lack of knowledge on your part.

Bottom line is. Going carrion will not only nerf your attack dps due to the lack of critical chance and crit damage% as well as power being a minor trait it will totally nerf your survival because you will have no toughness from gear.

You’ll essentially be a necro with lower life and lower condition damage.

The pitiful damage you get from burning barely registers and would account for a fraction of a normal autoattack of anyone else in soldiers/dps gear.

While I would enjoy toying around with builds that were previously impossible I would also be extremely annoyed since I’d have to once again farm for full exotics/ascended gear for my 8 characters.
