They just made it so that now we can never join tier 1 and have their full-all-the-time WvW experience.
Also they made it so that none of the empty servers look empty and none will seems attractive enough to induce migrations towards them, killing any hope of having them saved by migration flux.

And yet Qazmodon here you are on the forums trying to argue with me at every post instead of “picking up” your little flamethrower and working towards helping your community.
That you would assume that I can’t be one of the last wvw players on my server AND come here to warn about our problem shows how out of touch you are. Please go enjoy the game since you seem to be in a server where WvW is enjoyable and let us talk here about our problems without you trolling.

BTW there is a tier 9 in Europe. You’d know that if you had done even the tiniest of research before trying to act smart here.

That is the worse part of all this.

The mode could be made better with really EASY steps like wvw leaderboards, monthly rewards based on server score, wvw gemstore items, a better control of the npcs in your towers, etc….

I have no problem with Blacktide winning. On the contrary I am glad for their hard working guilds like BTA or RIFA (and those I forgot to mention). The problem is that on top of that BT is gangrened by hackers and people with 2 accounts that spam us and use it to sabotage us at every turn.
Call it as you like it’s a fact (documented, illustrated and verified over and over. I even have that Damage Full Dps guy on my friends list to know when he’s in EB so we have to keep quiet on mapchat because of him)

So we’re not blaming the server. however those individuals are ruining the experience for everyone including their own side (who can’t experience real fight since either our stuff is ghost capped by hackers, or there isn’t enough of us left to defend normally).

In the end this complaint thread is as much for FoW and UW as it is for BT.

All three of us are losing from this situation and that is why it should be looked at urgently.

A guild leaderboard for wvw could be a start.

Same problem in Europe. they labeled completely empty servers like Underworld as “medium”.
At this point I think they didn’t measure anything and are just pretending they looked at it.

I really enjoy it when ppl with not the slightest idea of what’s happening in tier 9 come and preach. Send me links to our “communities” since you seem to know them better than ppl from tier 9 do. Just stop the suck-up and ignore me if reading about problems bores you.

I don’t see why I should pay to change servers for a gamemode that could/should be fixed by the developers. And if you can’t understand that you need to move out from your parents house and start earning your own money coz clearly you don’t know what spending personal money is for something that shouldn’t be broken in the first place.

Putting labels (in this case completely out of touch with reality) on wvw servers is useless at this point. A lower transfer price will do NOTHING do boost transfers.
And so to get back on the topic of the thread:
What are you planning to do to solve the WvW population problem? Are you planing to solve it?

You won’t attract players to UW with 500gems transfer.

The whole free transfert mess was because it was free for everyone. It would be beneficial if only TOWARDS low population servers.

It can’t get more “disastrous” than what we are now. Please make an effort to comprehend, we have no more wvw players. No more than 10ish at high time hours. We won’t survive if we’re just some “medium” server with no appeal to it (that a free or even lower fee would give).

AND therefore it is not a relevant representation of the wvw population. Why would you decide that and not make a real survey/monitoring of servers??!!

It’s a prime exemple on how a minority can kitten the enjoyment of a majority. i’ve stopped playing WvW which I adore and we’re losing most of our remaining (10player) WvW population to it.

Also Koenow is most likely another account from the moron who made several accounts just to spam our EB map with propaganda messages and sabotage our sige while he plays on his main BT account.

Which leads me to 2 ideas:

1- they measured nothing and dumped everyone from lower tiers in the “medium” category to still make sure any transfer price is high.

2-They’re dubbing all the empty servers as “medium” to hide the debacle that is wvw participation in lower tiers.

I mean SERIOUSLY how can you label Underworld as “medium” when there is less than 10 active players on any map during high hours?! Did you really measure anything?

Once again nothing is happening and devs are making sure it stays that way.

Labeling an empty server like Underworld “medium” population is clearly a lack of a measurement on your part. Please do it again seriously.

Good idea. Having those weapons is not relevant of any status anymore so might as well make them easier to get : )

The prob is on some servers (UW in my case but there are others like Eredon I think)
are completely empty. So in a way STILL 500 would be to expensive to motivate people to migrate

HOWEVER

I am quite glad that WvW is getting some attention and that a dev decided to post here for a change. So yay for that.

Welcomed changes: really hope that maybe a price dropping (even a free transfer?) would be considered for the very low servers (UW ofc but I think others are also in the same state).
Ofc that after the new system is tested for a bit I guess.

The golem week/bugs are just what they’ve found to flush us out of WvW.

In about a month they’ll come up with “In light of recent numbers and the poor participation to wvw, it is only logical that we decided to remove the mode from the game since it is not played anymore. Here’s a bunch of mining pick skins.”

Nope. At this point we’re not even sure the elite specs will make it to wvw (they could pull something that stupid, they could)….

Well the target atm is clearly the asians (with the chinese release) and asians mostly want PVE grinding mmos.
Furthermore Nexon is now a big shareholder of Arena Net so it is very likely that it won’t go in the right direction.

Silverwastes / EoTm / HoT. May examples that at least point towards a company pve direction

As much as I agree with you that we’re very bitter atm. It’s important that your realize that it’s after 2 years of ignorance and poor/none updates. The anger/bitterness are pretty much last resort means to try and get some attention here to a game-mode STILL played by a lot of players (pretending the contrary is bogus) who love the mode and just want some interaction with developers like the other game-modes get.

And no if we can be sure of something after those 2 years, it’s that there ar no WvW devs at all (anymore at least). May I remind you that golem week is an idea of Grouch spvp shoutcaster.

At this point even a simple “we’re aware of it” would still be a victory in my book.

Remove what? WvW? This is the only reason I’m still playing this game. Tried plenty of others since playing this one and yet I get bored of them fast and come right back to just WvW.

I don’t want to see WvW removed. I am simply saying that I don’t want to be “milked” a long anymore in hopes that Anet is going to admit that their WvW player base is larger than they think, and start to fix it. What I meant in my statement is that if Anet is unable to balance 3 points on a triangle (WvW, PvP, PvE), then it’s time to admit it and drop one of them. Denying facts, and lying to string players along that WvW only is bullkitten… lol

I agree with this. At this point I am so depressed of the current state of wvw and the lack of communication that I’d rather the devs come out clean and tell us that they want to remove it. It would sadden me but at least it would give me closure. Atm we’re just hopping like idiots for a miracle and it feels like a waste.

I’m glad that so far the reddit post hasn’t been removed. This is great so far and may well be seen and adressed by the devs : )
