I pick up all of them except the axe. Fiery Greatsword is powerful on glass cannon builds.

I don’t agree with this decision. So much hard blood and sweat put into our server’s efforts. We were going to T1 next week. I guess not .-.

Why now though? The servers are finally seeing their final destinations. A reset doesn’t make sense to me.

Although I hope Anet decides not to do this, ultimately, it’s their game. Just a little disappointed

The best I can do if two players decide to kill my yak is shadow refuge in hopes they ignore it, or kill them in the time frame. I usually get to kill the yak attackers, but the yak dies.

I’m not going to say “spawncamping is glorious and is what god would do”, all I’m saying is that there’s no point in crying over it and acting like we suddenly turned into evil players, when it was always there. Spawncamping has been here since the start of the game. Do you honestly believe that SoR are a bunch of evil trolls while all TC are glorious white warriors riding on horses? Every server has been on the receiving and giving side of spawncamping. Acting like TC has never spawncamped is fallacy.

I think the lodestone prices are getting out of hand. Players who want certain weapons(like me) simply cannot afford it. This is not Anets fault, and nobody should blame them, but perhaps a change in the way one can attain lodestones would help? I for one, would greatly appreciate any effort to lower the prices.

My personal solution : 100 tokens for a lodestone from their respective dungeons. For instance, 100 CoE tokens for a charged lodestone, 40 for a charged core. Would be a great change, in addition to a possible drop increase.

I expect some good 1v1s next week. Don’t let me down tier 1..

Assuming that we abuse culling is assuming culling only affects you guys. We can’t see you after we take the portal either.

Depends on your playstyle. Thieves are great in solo roaming, but are probably one of the least effective classes in actual wvw warfare(zergs). D/D eles are decent in zergs, but it’s the staff eles that do the most damage in zerg v zerg warfare. Warriors are probably the best in zerg warfare, doing lots of damage while maintaining 20K HP or pure tank builds.

TP was bugging out. Gave me an error when I tried to sell. Then a bunch of people on my contact list started randomly logging out, including others on the server(I was in SoR BL, btw). I didn’t pay much attention to it, but when my EB queue popped up, I accepted travel, and got DC. Now I can’t get back in.

I really wanted that sword. It looked the best(better than bolt, imo), but it’s still an exotic. Why does it cost so much?

Hopefully anet will find a way to lower charged lodestones or at the very least, change the recipe. I haven’t even seen anyone with this sword yet…

I’d like a ding dong ditching siege weapon. Say, a bag that you light on fire, put in front of the enemy gate and knock. They will open, and as they try to stomp out the fire, storm the keep!

They really need to adjust thieves

1) Take away 5K HP from the base, to make sure theres a real risk
2)Remove stealth completely, it’s lame
3) 50% damage nerf. The fact that they can do so much damage is lame
4) Add cooldowns. At least 30 seconds for heartseeker, with 10 seconds for auto attack. All this on top of initiative

It still does really good damage for berserker. Even though autoattack is stronger, the stun makes it worth it imo. Full zerker + haste can deal up to 24K against squishies with 3 whips

It’s an exploit. Report them. This has nothing to do with balance, as they are exploiting inside.

I’d guess thieves would be the last candidate for portals, combined with already hated stealth, portals for thieves would be a balance disaster

That thief was actually pretty skilled. Great use of shortbow. You guys can hate thieves all you want but it was pretty obvious they had a big enough window to kill him when he was using the shortbow.

How is this related in any way to 100b? Last i checked 100b was working as intended and was not giving any unfair advantage to the player using it in a way the devs did not predict.

Related because you took the tool tip literally. The “foe” in CnD can be anything, a tree/plant (Sylvari’s elite), Npc, doors, walls, mobs, wtf have you as long as you can target it and hit it.

I’m not “ok” with it not procing the reveal debuff, but seriously, if you time it just right you can achieve the same results by hitting CnD at 3.5 into stealth.

Working as intend in my opinion until informed by Anet otherwise.

Except these guys were stacking 20 seconds of stealth, reviving their mesmer friend a porting everyone in. AoE spam on the body did nothing when you have 3 thieves doing it. There was absolutely zero indication. No blinding powder, refuge, D/P clouds, no purple marker beneath your feet.

Also, you can tell if someone is waiting till it reaches 0 and hitting it again. It shows the purple marker beneath them, and once culling it fixed, it should show the player himself.

I forgot I was green and tried to walk into blue valley keep. It took a few seconds and one death later to realize I wasn’t blue anymore…

I would like to ask a developer if CnDing off walls in WvW is an exploit. It is my personal belief that it is, because CnDing off a wall stacks stealth, instead of giving a revealed buff, even though you are technically attacking a wall. This allows thieves to stack infinite stealth with no signs, shadow refuge, ect.

Please watch the whole video. As you can see, later in the video, attacking the wall using Cloak and Dagger results in stacking stealth, instead of giving the revealed buff. I am seeking a developer response to whether this is a bug or not.

Anet, please fix this bug. You can infinitely CnD off walls giving you true perma stealth. No blinding powder clouds, no shadow refuge, nothing. The reason it’s a bug is because it stacks stealth everytime you CnD, instead of giving revealed(If you hit something in stealth, you get revealed, this bug makes it stack stealth). This is coming from a thief. Please fix this issue.

I think the speed signets should be for the lighter professions. I’m not a believer in giving heavy classes speed signets, well because I always though of lighter armor and squishiers classes to be the mobile ones, where the heavy guys would be the slow moving, but deadly in terms of defense/offensive capabilites.

Also, there seems to be a lot of signet talk for all classes lately, which doesn’t entirely make sense to me, because if you give all classes speed signets, what would be the point? Everyone would still be walking the same speed, and you might now use a speed signet in combat, but speed signets are more valuable in walking time, where everyone can simply switch a utility skill out as they are out of combat.

I don’t think AoEs need a nerf, but who am I to say that? My only AoEs are clusterbombs and caldrops. I might not agree with Anet, but I don’t doubt them either. I’m sure all will be happy in the end.

D/D eles are my favorite to play against in a 1v1, which I haven’t lost against them yet. It’s an epic class, and imo, very fun to play against. It’s all about timing and dodging when it comes to fighting these guys, except when they are glass cannon d/d. It’s not fun and they die way to fast for the battle to last

I think it’s a powerful class, but I don’t think it’s overpowered.

but of course, I’m talking from a sole WvW perspective. I don’t even know how I wandered in the spvp forum >_>

There are two TC thieves doing this bug to cap towers. From my stand point I disapprove of this method. just be on the look out for them.

Hmmm, from the conversations in this thread, I think i have my answer. The dead players were indeed TC. The stealthed thieves were likely using this trick to stay hidden within the tower. The rezzes weren’t fast and the first time I wasn’t even sure if he was rezzing at first. I’d glance at the corpse and see some red on the bar, then a little bit more, but still not sure if it was more health or just my imagination. Soon though you could tell he was gaining health.

Overall probably took around a minute or so to fully rez these guys.

As far as what skills I saw, I can’t answer that. I haven’t played a thief much and I’m not familiar with their skills. I don’t know exactly what Shadow Refuge is or what it looks like (But I’ll find out). I just know that it’s possible for thieves to stay stealthed for a long time. However i thought they would still take damage if you managed to blindly hit where they are standing.

I think i need to start playing my thief more and learn their mechanics better.

They do take damage if they are hit, stealth or no stealth, but it doesn’t knock them out of stealth.

Can we start our first duel tomorrow up until reset?

Backstab build sucks in 1v1. A stunbreaker, block, invulnerability, all negate backstab in a 1v1 situation.

Your video shows a stationary thief, CnDing a wall, not trying to revive someone, whilst somehow dodging AoEs. There is no way a thief did all of that, without leaving stealth for half a second, which is all it would take for a veteran archer on the wall to start hitting him with channeled attacks, which would have made it obvious that it was a thief, none of that mentioned by OP.

I’ve seen this before. Its cloak and dagger on a wall, which triggers no revealed debuff, so you can continue to stack it up to the cap. This is on any wall that can be damage by siege, it seems. And like the OP saw, its possible to rez someone inside the tower. It also makes it impossible for any sweep team to find the thief, except for melee spam looking for attack chains.

A fix for this would be to trigger revealed debuff while using cloak and dagger in stealth on a wall.

Actually my own experiments have found that it does give you revealed sometimes(50%, in my experience), but you don’t leave stealth, however you are immune to entering further stealth. It’s very very buggy. I still do not think stacking CnD would have explained it though, as it would take all his CnDs to get around 7-8 seconds of stealth, in which time he has to get to the body, rez, make it back, and find the initiative to get more CnDs. Simply spamming CnD off the wall in quick sucession is not a sustainable perma stealth. It requires a lot of intricate timing of the second you leave stealth. He had to use something else.

I guess the question now is, OP, did you see any shadow refuge, blinding powder, ect?

If not, was most likely not a thief
