Agreed with OP. We’ve had a few recent garrison fights that lasted over an hour. They weren’t even fights. It was about 25 organized people who kept running back and bannering 2 or 3 at a time. All they did was wait outside a portal of a gate we didn’t break and pop in and revive the lord under 5 seconds. With all the stabo and condi reduction warriors have it’s nearly impossible to stop them in time. It’s gotten to the point where server A’s 20 necros and warriors using plague and banner can hold off server B’s 60 people while the other 40 of server A’s people hit server B’s hills.

There should have a revive sickness. After, say 3 or so revives using skills, the lord can no longer be revived except manually.

They should be mobile IMO, but not THAT mobile. Some warrior builds already output a good amount of DPS/conditions while remaining insanely tanky with healing signet all while being one of the most mobile classes. And unlike thieves you can’t snare warriors who are traited properly as snares will fall off easily with all that condition reduction.

I don’t play glass thief, but I’d imagine players who run glass D/D or D/P builds would be scared of other thieves insta ganking them. It looks like it would be first to get a good backstab wins.

MM might not be the best commander, but he was a good asset to have on SoR. He was on during off times and always commanded the pugs instead of leaving them tagless, because many times especially during late NA – Oceanic we can’t even afford to have a commander in eb to lead pugs.

Our SEA is stronger than ever. NYS + SAHP still the main forces, with havoc squads/number buffers from the smaller SEA guilds(like AT), SONG which fields about 20 and the recent transfer PH who, IIRC, can field 20-25 but don’t do events everyday.

4X perplexity skill is 3 stacks of confusion, not 1.

IIRC, last year’s JP allowed you to play with a friend in that instance, this year the instances changed so that it feels like sPvP, no party UI, no blue tags. Please stop making these mini games like quickjoin sPvP. Allow us to play with our friends so we can enjoy the game to it’s fullest.

Thieves are THE best AoE’er in the game. If you can’t see that then you should probably find another class to play.

It’s still, IMO, one of the worst class in zergs. You’re too squishy to be able to deal good damage and survive. You have practically no stabo outside daggerstorm, very slow condition cure. Horrible AoE damage compared to ELEs and NECROS. And don’t get me started about having to push through chokes with ACs…

The only thing I like when zerging with my thief are those glorious 8 seconds of daggerstorm. Then I’m dead/useless. It’s why the top guilds don’t run more than 1-2 thieves when they raid.

3 weeks of boring PvD isn’t a schedule I would want. :/

But that’s just me. I don’t care about golden dolyack finishers. I would rather have good fights.

If you are on a BG borderland you helping to attack us so why should we not take our things back?? The simple fact is that if SoR want’s to win then JQ needs to hit last place at least 1 time and 2 times if possible.

We have no choice, but to respond to you attacking our borderland with force. Same as you would do to us.

I can see where you are coming from. That may have been a bad example, however I still would rather 2v1 with JQ, simply because our past experiences 2v1ing with BG has always ended badly for us.

Regardless of the fact that I don’t particularly care about leagues, I do believe that SoR has the best chance at winning, especially with AGG moving to SoS and possibly another large JQ NA guild who I won’t name because it’s unconfirmed.

yes i did, it’s a video from a month ago and if he did use any portals to get players into that keep then he’ll be gkicked and reported. The video shows a mesmer in a wall, that’s it, it doesn’t show him porting people, it doesn’t show him killing guards or clearing siege. he might have gotten stuck by accident as HL keeps claiming for themselves. The video doesn’t actually show him doing anything except being in a wall, meanwhile we have proof of SoR exploiting to clear our siege, we have proof that BG had a mesmer in a omega hacking into our tower clearing siege and trying to take down our gates and walls. What does that video prove? that a mesmer got stuck in a wall? If you have proof that he actually ported people in then please present it so we can get him reported and gkicked.

As far as I can tell, there is no “accidentally” glitching under hills lord room. Especially when your teammates haven’t even reached the outer yet, lol. Glitching through tower gates is a known bug, I think we can all agree on that. Glitching under a keep is not. There is no glitch that will put you under hills. Only hacks. EVEN THEN, the Mesmer refuses to WP/suicide/log out. In fact, he stays there for 3 minutes in the video, and allegedly 10+ minutes according to the poster of the video. FURTHERMORE, there is a picture of the same, said Mesmer, glitching into ANZ inside a wall that has not been known to clip players inside of it, nor can players “glitch” inside of that wall. Also, in ALL 5 incidents, it is the exact same Mesmer. Does SG only have one pro Mesmer, that just happens to accidentally glitch into spots that cannot be glitched into? Who happens to be seen by many people in multiple incidents who claim to have physically seen him hacking, not “accidentally” glitching under a keep.

And this “proof” of HL breaking siege? You mean 4 pictures of an HL guy inside a tower, and what seems like him heading towards the edge to jump out? Why did the poster not take a screenshot of HL guy destroying siege? You want me to believe one guardian, who most likely has kitten DPS, killed all their siege without anyone taking a screenshot of it?

Not to mention said poster who took screenshots claims to have been watching the “greendot” of the SG mesmer inside hills honorably hiding inside, when same said Mesmer has been, on two occasions, caught hacking inside walls/under keeps, even after FEAR did a thorough sweep of hills(BTW, there aren’t many places to hide inside hills). Obviously, if you haven’t figured it out yet, that person is probably providing false information. That in itself already discredits the claims of screenshot poster’s accusations.

Yes, people on TeamSpeak made remarks about how often it happened and how by just manmoding the gate as we sometimes do players would somehow accidentally walk through the gate. But hey guess what they did? They ran out of the tower immediately. Guess what JQ DIDNT do? They didnt run out of our garrison when the hacker portaled them in. They didnt kindly just not kill the lord and cap it. They didnt take it with honor. Theres a difference between accidents, and intention.

I don’t mean to be rude, but I absolutely hate it when people want to balance things “cross class”. What’s the point of a class system then? We might as well all run the same profession. Classes are meant to be stronger in one area than the other. That’s why I get annoyed when people think, for instance, a roaming thief should be balanced to be on par with other classes, because it doesn’t. That’s the entire point of a thief, and that’s the only strong point of the class. Or Guardians who are strong in group fights due to support, or staff eles that destroy melee trains with their insane AoE damage. The class system should be diverse, not the other way around.

FYI, you can have your tinfoil hats, but there’s no conspiracy going on. We’ve been karma training and our pugs have been out in force all week. At most there’s only about 100 people in TS actually doing organized WvW any given day this week, compared to our average 2-300. We really don’t care who makes gold league…

I’m not, I have family in that guild. They are a PvE guild that has been exploring WvW for the upcoming season.

I just find it sad that they found 3 folks new to WvW wandering around, then ran to the forums to brag with screenshots.

Looked over the history of this thread, the first server to bring up roamers and carry on about it was actually SoR.

As a ranger , it’s good to see thief tears in regards to ranger , it only took 1 year to accomplish.

On a side note, the reveal doesn’t stack so if you actually let them chain Sic em on you and anticipated it, then I’m sorry to say this, but you’re really bad and need to learn anticipation on the game. The issue really doesn’t really apply to the rangers themselves, you need to know they can do that now and anticipate it and play smart. Finally, you have to play smart against a ranger now, shocking , I know.

And how exactly do I dodge something that cannot be dodged? Anticipation does nothing against a skill with 2000 range, is instant, and cannot be dodged, as compared to the many thieves skills which are obvious when being used and can be dodged to deny stealth. When there are multiple rangers spamming revealed there’s nothing you can do except run, but with 1500 LB range and 2000 Shout range you won’t accomplish much.

Because the only way you can make it work is to be relatively glassy, in which case, what is the point? It’s like running a zerker LB ranger with less HP. Not to mention unload is easily dodged. I’m sure there will always be players that get destroyed by someone using P/P, but the build is still trash.

I know a lot of people have moved to JQ. I just dont want to seem lame and a leecher because I know a lot of newer wvw players moved there banking that it would finish at the top.

Ignore the haters. Choose whichever you like the best. They are pretty even throughout. The only real difference is the guilds and how the server is ran.

Thieves are the best out of that list of roaming, but they are pure garbage in zerging, and keeps getting nerfed. There is no point to roll it, IMO. Engi is overall pretty good in both aspects. Necromancer is the best out of all the classes mentioned for zerging, and they are decent at roaming too, however they lack mobility that lets them escape. Out of those 3, run an engi.

But, if it were my choice, I would choose warrior. They are one of the best roaming professions ATM, as well as zerging professions, and from what I’ve seen, they have a bright future.

I would also be annoyed if my main and only character was becoming useless. Lucky for me I have a guardian and warrior. I can be tanky as hell or stun lock, or in some cases, both. Which should I choose?

In WvW a thief can take a group of 5 out with no problem.

I encourage you to try this, though. You won’t be able to do it “no problem” whenever you feel like it against every group.
