There will never be an expansion. It is a good thing too. Expansions are dead idea. Get an expansion get 4-6 months of content and then wait a whole year of nothing for more content. That’s the content models expansions create. On top of that forcing you to pay for content you would have normally gotten from arena net without paying. I don’t want an expansion and anyone know remembers actually what expansions do they don’t either. Btw I am better than any of you at everything. Deal with it.
4-6 months? That is generous. Most MMO players seem to eat through content quickly. Although GW1: Factions was not an expansion but another game release, it only took about 2-3 weeks to get through the content.
Ah yes, Another guy who completed the campaign, mapped and vanquished cantha, topped all the challenge missions, got both sets of factions armor, did the campaign HM, Protector and Guardian titles, rolled both a Sin and a Rit, collected every elite and boss green and “won” FA and JQ, then beat Urgoz in..2-3 weeks . Probably with a whammo +Frenzy Mending as well.
“Claps excitedly”
The people who finished in that time, just want missions, not grinding out stuff. To understand that, all you have to do is look that the ESO threads on mmorpg.com – people were complaining about lack of content after 1 week.
As far as Urgoz – pretty easy to solo, if you know what you are doing. Not so much with The Deep, since you have to have 4 separate starting groups in order to do forward. I had three sets of armor (Kurz, Elite, Luxon Elite and Canthan Elite- plus a Rainbow Phoenix).
People who want mounts seem to use any reason to forward their cause, without thinking.
You might want to take up on that advice yourself and actually think before accusing people of not thinking.
Golems and the like are situational mounts and have very specific roles.
Which is exactly what I am pointing at. Depending on how you want to play you take a mount of your choice. You want to sacrifice firepower over swiftness? Fine take a mount which has swiftness support skills.
Also, when you are in the siege Golem, you only have the skills of the golem, basically you are the Golem, not riding on a mount.
Once again, exactly my point. Once you are on/in your mount you lose access to your player’s skills in order to provide balance. Or do you think it has any sense to allow a warrior which drives an Omega to spam banners and shouts while using it? Golems are a prime example how mounts can work in GW2. And what difference does it make if you are inside or on top of an object which has its own mobility capability? Golem is a device you can mount (hint, hint) and use it against your enemies.
Mounts have NO potential in this game other than to clutter up the screen and make the game engine chug even more. As an example, Last night, in WvW, there was a 60 man zerg of MM necros from one server we were playing against. All those minions, from each of the 60 Necros, made the game engine grind to a halt. The same would be the problem with mounts.
Until they fix the game engine, so it doesn’t chug, no mounts should be added at all.
Yeah yeah, every GW2 player is obviously an expert on software performance
I say if anything mounts would actually reduce the performance hit because instead of having access to at least ten skills mounts would provide three to four skills at most. That’s at least 50-60% less interaction with other players which needs to be calculated and then transferred to the server.
What actually happens when 60 necros spam their minions I don’t know. You know why? Because I’ve played in all WvWvW Tiers (including Tier 1) and never saw a zerg which had more than a couple of necros. And for good reason. Using MM builds for WvWvW is pointless because such builds are selfish and aimed completely at 1 vs 1 or sPvP. Essentially I would be glad to meet a 60 player MM group in WvWvW, that’s free loot
I am currently a Tier 1 player also. Unfortunately minions don’t drop loot, only players do. The point was that adding mounts to the game, will only exacerbate the frame rate issue. That was 300 bodies in a zerg – that really throws frame rates down to nothing.
I am not an expert BUT, this game is single-treaded and has puts a huge huge load on your CPU. In fact, overclocking your CPU is the best way to increase frame rates in this game.
(edited by Dusty Moon.4382)
So why not make it that you can’t load a template in those game mode? Still, if you are quick, you CAN currently change your skill / trait on the run in WvW… I don’t know about PvP as I don’t play it.
That logic make no sense. Template save/load IS A MUST for those who change frenquently builds in PvE (Dungeons, Fractals, farm,…).
If you want that, make it like GW1 where you can only load builds in town or safe areas.

Seamless worlds. The crafting was the most advanced ever done. Creature Handler. Player owned vendors. Advanced multi factional system. Skill Based hybrid characters.
Way more than can be listed here. in 2003, no less.
Yeah – if it was so good, why did it die?
You can rave about all of the parts of the game but the game still died faster than any other game I have seen. I played that game and felt it was MEH, but that is me and my opinion.
Truth is, Guild Wars 2 already has mounts – Alpha and Omega siege golems. And they are far from just being “fluffy stuff”. Omegas have by far the greatest firepower in the game but are very slow and susceptible to attacks by multiple players. Has anyone made any complaints about siege golems until now? Not that I am aware of. I’ve seen battles which included 40+ golems in one place. There was absolutely no impact to game performance.
And I think ANet should really consider adding mounts with different capabilities and restraints which would prevent their abuse like replacing player skills with those provided by mount. You want to play spotter/saboteur in lets say WvWvW? Cool, buy a mount which will have the following skills: 1 – swiftness for a couple of seconds with an appropriate cooldown (no perma swiftness), 2 – deploy supply traps (mount would have only a set number of traps with no option to recharge), 3 – stealth for a couple of seconds (huge cooldown and breaks on movement or if any other skill is used).
Versatility, that’s the answer. Mounts have actual huge potential. The best thing is you don’t have to put players on top of mounts (clipping issues etc.) you can simply put them inside, like with golems.
Your idea is much different from what everyone thinks of as a mount. You are talking about a combat vehicle. That’s a great idea, but it’s designed to be situation. Golems are unique to WvW where they serve a specific purpose. Mounts as players think of them are generic travel mechanisms. The thread is suggesting a ubiquitous feature which would impact the entire game and negatively affect existing game mechanics. A combat vehicle on the other hand would be a specifically designed game mechanic.
Honestly it would be just as much work as adding normal mounts, except it would be confined to certain events.
I said that already……
I think this is funny. Ele’s can tank well and better than necros or even thieves.
Most of this is situational and there are NO ABSOLUTES in this game.

Waypoints are part of the lore – read the GW novels. You cannot remove them w/o breaking the lore. Now that LS2 started, it shows how the waypoints and Ley lines are connected.
Which, if you ask me, is a pretty good occasion to do something about it while making it part of the lore of the game. In year XXXX, Mordremoth screw half of the WP…
I still don’t want to remove them or even 1/10 of them. If you remove one, people will start screaming for more lore breaking items like mounts.

This would be extremely OP for Thieves in WvW.
Attack enemy > Fight is not what the Thief expected it to be > Stealth > Swiftly get out of combat > Change gear, traits, utilites in a click > engage enemy again with a completely new build.
I think that is why A.Net hasn’t put it in the game yet. I think in WvW and PvP you cannot and should not be able to switch builds on the run.

Problem is that was a sandbox game – this is not. Can’t compare the two.
I hate mounts in any game I play. I think they are a waste and usually cause more harm than they fix.
Mounts and marriage. You genuinely think those two aspects will bring people back. The game is a shoddy, bug-ridden mess that caters to the lowest common denominator and the gem store BUT AS SOON AS YOU CAN RIDE TO A WEDDING, THAT’S ALRIGHT!
NO to either. Mounts are a waste of developers resources and if you think clipping is bad now, wait for mounts and hear the people whine about that. Marriage is just dumb in a game – I don’t get it.
GW2 is not a sub game where people leave and never come back. It seems people come and go – that is not a problem.
Why do people need a carrot? I play games for fun. If you need constant rewards, then playing games isn’t for you…
pretty cool. I think they finally got the story writing down.
Waypoints are part of the lore – read the GW novels. You cannot remove them w/o breaking the lore. Now that LS2 started, it shows how the waypoints and Ley lines are connected.
HOM skins are for people who played GW1. If you want them, play GW1.
If the people against mounts, including myself, stopped replying to this thread it would die off.
No – the pro-mount people would just make another thread. That is why we had 4 in one week.
You need to buy at least one of the three campaigns (Prophecies, Factions or Nightfall) and the expansion Eye of the North, then you need to get a character to level 10 so you can travel from the major city of your campaign (LA, Kaineng Center or Kamadan) to the Eye of the North (of course you need to get a character there first).
Don’t forget to connect your GW1 and 2 accounts, doing so will get you 3 HoM points, then you need to get 3 more as you need 6 to get the full Heritage armor set in GW2. After connecting your accounts new characters will have a portal stone in their inventory in GW2, older characters can talk to that Skritt to get one.
This will help you with getting the remaining 3 points you need to unlock the complete Heritage armor set in GW2:
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guide_to_earning_Hall_of_Monuments_rewardsAh, and don’t forget that you need the tapestries in your HoM before you can display anything else but titles. You get them by actually playing EotN.
Have to have Prophecies and EotN – because EotN is off of Prophecies map.
FFXIV has moutns and waypoints. So the waypoint argument is null. There are areas with a lot of contested waypoints. A mount with 100% speed boost would be awesome for travelling.
WvW-counter argument: just remove it from WvW or give a mount to everyone on entering WvW.
Mounts have nothing to do with WoW. Mounts are pretty standard in many high fantasy games. Just see your argument: I don’t need my Horse in Skyrim, be cause there is fast travelling. Stupid argument.
I just feel a very negative vibe concerning mounts in the GW2-Forum. There is no real counterargument, I assume they fear a WoW-ization of GW2. That’s all.
There are plenty of counter arguments, but pro-mount people ignore them.
1. LORE – there are no mounts in GW lore.
2. We already have speed boosts and don’t need more of them.
3. Mounts have not been designed, so they would be a lot of work and people have interests in other things (Guild Halls, another profession or 2, another Race (come on Tengu!!).
That is plenty of reasons.
People that are pro-mount say:
1. It would be cool.
2. Need speed boost (we have that already)
3. other games have them.
Those are the big reasons and not very viable at that.
Shrug. The sheer entertainment value of watching a Dorito lead a zerg of cavalry off a cliff negates a lot of no votes, for me.
I can see and hear it now. "Woo, I love Death Shroud, safe from death . . . "
Yeah, I suppose that’d be worth it but . . . never really had a good experience with mounts in games, even where they were “important”. The only time I found them useful was in Ultima Online, and that was just because the PK Gank Squad usually had Frenzied Ostards and if you didn’t have a horse you were asking to die a terrible terrible death.
There is really no valid argument for “no mounts” but for some reason the topic is a knee jerk hot button here.
Because a lot of times they were a status symbol for the l33t. Because more than a few of us really find them less than necessary even in games which didn’t have waypoints. Because for more than a few it reminds them of some other game they grew to despise.
For me? I think they’re unnecessary and prone to a lot more troubles than some armor skins and charr. A considerable amount more. I wouldn’t be completely opposed to tonics only which couldn’t be used in combat, like the transformations we had since GW1 and Mad King’s Holiday.
Amazing Tyria. Tanks, Airships, helicopters, matter transference, holograms and more. And not a single soul who looked at a pack dolyak and thought “I wonder if I could sit on that pack saddle”.
Sure. Stone Summit did it all the time.
Ergo, mounts are eeeeeeeeeevil . . .
How in the world did I erase Dolyak Riders from my memory. It’s all come back now, Dreadnaughts Drift..the pain, the deaths, no! my survivor! no!. Good thing its all just a bad dream, since I’m often assured there have never been mounts in GW, EVAR.
I agree with another point tho. Mounts should never be allowed power creep, stats, buffs or a speed not attainable by other means. EQ2 went way overboard giving mounts power and speed. It was funny back in the day when a Warden or Bard could pass your shiny new noob horse on foot. You can’t even give away Spirit of the Wolf now. So yes, I guess if players are looking at how mounts can be abused.. well, I wouldn’t want that either.
I used mounts for the fun of using mounts. I liked my slooow ones. A huge part of my love for that game died when Smokejumper unilaterally increased mount speed to 130%. Benny Hill Ponies. Even with walk toggled, they ran
. Slowly loping through the countryside was replaced by frenzied runaway psycho ponies. I built a player home stable for them and retired them all.
But they are mobs not on your side and the riders/mounts die together like they are one piece. Sorry just no to mounts.
I talked yesterday with the pale tree she told me we need mounts.
But serious I really did she said that we killed scarlet was good we reliefs scarlet from her pain. I talked with other in the room but nothing. I guess we must wait for a official meeting
RIGHT!!! Sure she did….
Why does everyone hate on mounts.
1. There freaking awesome
2. It would implement features for riding them like different Swing styles/moves
3. They could make the game more fun haveing to actually spend the time riding around the world more to find stuff not just way point there after you’ve only been there once
GW2 does not need mounts because:
1. It is not a WoW facsimile
2. We have waypoints placed everywhere. Mounts are useless as I can get around just as well w/o mounts. Try riding a mount in Dry Top – yeah I can see that working well.
3. There are no mounts in GW2 lore.
4. They don’t add anything to the game other than ‘Look at ME!’ people.
5. People who posts these threads do not want to actually discuss the above points.
I think there will be more underwater combat, I mean look at the people who actually crafted underwater Legendaries.
I think they are trying to figure out how to fix it, so that it is more balanced.
Some you can’t skip and others you can. Also, when you get to a certain part of the cinematics, the skip button will disappear because the assumption is that you want to watch them if you get that far.
There is a reason that it is not done and that is because some weapons are not designed to be used in the primary hand – foci, shields, and warhorns for example.
Anet just put mounts in the game, I really don’t understand why people hate them so much, its like mounts will literally kill them. We don’t even need a 100% faster mount perhaps just 50%. We all know, yes you guys at Anet want us to experience the world well what if we have already or even want to but not walking every where its lame. In WvW maybe a mount with no speed increase, just the appearance of mounting up with people and riding to the next place or into battle is just… cool. Or maybe a table like the bobble head table that lets people drink something and allows them to ride mounts and the people that truly can’t stand mounts for reason I can’t understand other than way-points will never see them everyone wins.
With mounts nobody wins. All you get is agro pulled onto you when you don’t want it.
We have enough run boosts in game and with all the portals around, Mounts are a waste of resources.

AS A.NET has said in the past, this game is not balanced for 1 vs. 1 and it is especially NOT balanced wihile using PvE items. The only way to balance the whole game is to have PvP – which duleing is BTW, in PvP and PvE by itself.

“Player versus Player
Primary article: Player versus Player Is there any type of Open World PvP?
No, there is no open world PvP of any kind, this includes dueling. If you wish to fight against a player, you must do so in custom arenas. If you wish to participate in large scale battles against other servers, then World versus World would be the closest thing to open world PvP.
What types of PvP will be available?
Currently, the game includes two types:
- World versus World — huge, ongoing battles in the Mists between uneven groups of players of different levels.
- Structured PvP has two major types: tournament play, similar to guild battles in Guild Wars — this pits two evenly matched teams against each other; and pick-up play where individual players or groups can pick games to join based on available space, map and other settings.11
In addition, certain activities are also considered PvP, e.g. bar brawling and snowball fights."

Because, at this time, the owners of this intellectual property have said No. You all are repeatedly asking an answered question.
I would love mounts.. but if Anet actually came out and said NO to mounts as clearly as they have said NO to dueling I would not support those threads at all. No point. Question already answered.
They have said no mounts, also. So stop with the mounts also.

Get over it. With a persistent online game, such as Guild Wars 2, there are bound to be changes over time. Some of those changes will inevitably lead to situations like this. This addition of the wardrobe had many more positive aspects to it than negative.
+1 for this.
ArenaNet doesn’t owe anybody a refund. There is no possible universe where I can feel sorry for someone who went out of their way to get two of the same Legendary, just so they could match. This is like listening to a billionaire who bought an extra yacht so his cat could have its own, then whining that yachts went half-price the following year and now their cat is no longer privileged.
Even setting aside how ridiculous it is that this situation is even happening, you have nothing to complain about. Nothing got taken away from you. Your items did not get any worse. You put in the time/money/resources to get two of the same legendary weapon, and you still have two of the same legendary weapon. And you did it before there was even a title for it, so now you have this free extra thing.
I can understand that it seems a bit unfair, that there are people who crafted only one legendary pistol or dagger, and now they can apply the skin to their other one. And that kind of sucks for someone who did it the hard way. But, just as there was no way for you to know Wardrobe was coming, neither did ArenaNet when they first made the game. Sometimes, these things happen. It is unfortunate, but I really just shake my head at the sentiment of “Boo hoo, I made two legendaries and now I won’t look doubly as special!”
So they refunded half the billionaires and the other half they told no. Seems fair…
Show us proof of all of those refunds, not just what you think they did or what other players told you happened.
Are you a supervisor in their support department with logs of what refunds were given and which were denied? Didn’t think so.
I’d be careful, your counter argument seems to hinge on the same lack of confirmation that you are contending. I just want to add that it’s been my personal experience with another company that when they do decide to go the compensation route for things like this, there is often internal criteria for who gets compensated. And usually, that stuff remains secret short of a court order. Not divulging internal information or the bureaucratic machinery of customer support and P.R. decisions makes customers angry. Understandable when you are left in the dark. But there’s very little you can do about it. Anet changed the way skins work, some people lost out, and some people benefited. Significant changes to mechanics like this happen in mmos and they do damage control where they expect the most pushback. Imagine if/when they decide to raise the level cap and you have to get new gear. What will the outcry look like then? Especially considering they have said they might actually do that.
Not really. The problem being the OP ASSUMES this happened because other players lied, err told him, that this happened. Why would A.Net actually refund anything on something like this? Give a good, logical reason. I don’t believe what other players say. Just like the interweb, playing games is anonymous. Logically, A.Net would not give ANY refunds for stuff like this.
Yes please, would really like an organised duelling feature – city based arenas or open world (of course with the ability to opt out and ignore for haters).
Custom arenas are not the solution – I am certainly not willing to pay a fairly large amount of gold every so often, just for the opportunity to duel. If this is the case, players should be “taxed” in every area of the game to support the servers.
Also custom arenas have a limited amount of population and too much waiting time.Obsidian sanctum is… ok, but kind of like the underground fight club.
Always so much hate whenever duelling is mentioned – I really don’t understand why players don’t like this feature, especially if there is the option in the menu to block/ignore all incoming duel requests.
As for rude whispers – well that feature already exists – right click, block. Simple as that.
Already have ARENAS in the PvP area. Make one, invite who you want to duel – have fun.
…And get griefed by random strangers.
Not if you have a password on the arena. Jeez – people. It is simple enough.

Hi,
I stopped playing GW2 because of an update 3 months ago or so. Just wanted to give some reasons and hear some opinions on these issues that made me quit:
1. FOV:
Said update broke the GW2 camera tool support [http://www.wsgf.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=24764]. I am aware that this is a third party tool, but i just could not stand the narrow FOV, so i risked using it. Without it, the game is simply UNPLAYABLE for me. (pls don’t reply about cheating/balance of fov tools: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/FOV-on-3-monitors-Demonstration)2. PVP Modes:
I always hoped to get some more PvP modes. While i played mainly PvP (bear rank) and had fun in every battle, i always disliked the mode: capturing points. I understand that balancing becomes a big issue if more PvP modes are introduced. WvW was too messy for me, just not my taste, so no critic there. (BTW, why is this game named Guild Wars when there are actually no guild wars?)3. Combat:
Combat was very fun at the Beginning, but as a big share of the player-base mastered most classes the combat felt more like a combo chain spam than tactical combat. Not that i couldn’t keep up with the average foe but i just didn’t feel like I’m having control anymore with all those conditions and combo fields procing at that massive rate. But i accept if most people don’t share this view, it also wasn’t game breaking for me like the FOV.So that’s it, i logged in occasionally every 2 weeks to see if an update somehow made the fov-tool work again. If the FOV stays at that crap console value (60-70 horizontal at 16:9) i just can’t see my coming back.
Thanks for you time, i had a blast with this game.
WOW – talk about self-importance! It is not a sub based game and as others have said, no one cares.
Bluntly put, don’t let the door hit you in the kitten on the way out.
And then of course there is still the giant plothole that they were not ever mentioned in the destiny’s edge series. Which takes place only a few years before the start of the game. And there were two asura as main characters!
Never expect a tie-in novel to a video game to actually accurately reflect the video game. It’s just not how these things work, usually.
The GW2 Novels were written while the game was being developed and one of them was written by a GW2 developer. So, these novels have a better tie-in than others.
With waypoints, 100% swiftness uptime, and 25% perm movement speed, mounts are useless, which makes them the perfect cosmetic item. The difference between my warrior running with swiftness and riding a mount would be that i don’t have to hear that annoying warhorn or hear SOR activating every few seconds.
I don’t think they should be used in WVW or pvp, but for pve it would be awesome.
The areas are small enough and using mounts would make them seem smaller. Mounts would be a waste in this game.
Why do we need mounts in this game?
What does it do that waypoints don’t do?
Mounts are not needed in WvW, as if your in a group, you get swiftness already.
Why do we need the same thing as other games? Want mounts, play the other game.
I think most GW veterans(myself included) thought that we would be getting about the same number of skills that we had per profession when Prophecies was released or at the very least the same number of “Core” skills.
Please speak for yourself. If you did ANY research into the GW2 development and/or participated in any beta events, it was quite easily apparent the simplification of the skill system was intentional and this game was NOT going to be GW1+. I’m not overly thrilled with the results, but I accept the game for what it IS, not what I think it should be to suit my individual tastes.
I loved GW1 but I’m intelligent enough to look at it’s eventual complexity to realize NO sane developer would go down that road a 2nd time. I seriously wonder why all those that claim this game is the results of “lazy” design and “dumbing down” continue to play it? Hold tightly to your negative views and just move on……or go back and play GW1….Severs are still up.
I understand the complexity of having too many skills like in GW1, but GW2 is OVER-simplified to the point where I believe it detracts from the game play. In addition to that, the skills that you can actually customize are severely limited in variety, not to mention that half of your bar is already locked with weapon you’re using. It almost eliminates one aspect of MMOs that I find the most fun, and that’s having variety of options in how to play my character. I’ll take more of that over the ability to just change skins.
It’s difficult to have a positive opinion on some of the design choices especially when you have 6 times the number of staff and resources as they previously had.
GW2 is not over simplified. GW1 just had too many skills that were useless and/or situational. The player meta was very simple in GW1 – player plays his build – has 1 or 2 healers/protectors – an MM – a fire ele or 2. The others were heros and that is all you needed. Gw1 was simple to the extreme in PvE.
I have an urge to buy one and ride it around yelling in /m ; anet put in mounts!!!!111!
Go ahead – other players can just put you on the ignore list and your protest is useless.
“This isn’t WoW.”
WoW is by far not the only MMO using mounts so this argument is pretty ill informed.
So, if other MMO’s jump off a cliff, you want GW2 to do it also? I don’t care what other games have, I want what makes sense in this game. In the LS2 areas, mounts would be totally useless and I think that is why they were designed that way.
No to mounts. Can we have a mod close this thread as we have discussed to topic TOO MUCH already.
WOW – this topic again? This has been discussed ad nauseum. No to mounts.
This is how this topic is….

This game is NOT balanced for dueling. It is balanced for team play. So, different professions would faceroll others in a duel. Dueling is part of the game in sPvP. Want to duel, do it there not in the PvE areas.
The meta is berserker DPS and when it comes to that formula warriors do it best. Anything else and you’re sub par and gimping yourself. This isn’t a troll post, I’ve played every profession (excluding engi) up to level 40 and played a necro/ele/warrior at 80 in full exotics. Warriors are pure faceroll. Walk up, smash a button or two and you walk away with a mob kill and 90% health. Other classes need to bounce around, worry about placing skills or their health bar. In fact, I never even use my healing skill because the regeneration on it does the work for me.
If the game welcomed builds other than berserkers then the other professions would be worth playing, but ATM everyone should just play a warrior.
The meta FOR PLAYERS IS DPS, it doesn’t mean it is the meta for the game. If you did just DPS, in WvW or EotM, you would not survive long at all.
A.Net said, there are other builds for the game (many, many builds). It is just that players have come here from other games, where DPS is king (like games with the Trinity). There are all sorts of viable builds, just not DPS.
No, this is not a doom and gloom post, so don’t get your panties in a twist:
http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/2agzhp/gw2_china_sales_numbers_are_not_accurate/
which links toWe’d like to clarify recent news of GW2 China sales: it’s inaccurate, from a Chinese fansite, and they could be estimating characters.
I doubt this fansite has access to number of accounts, so who knows how they estimated this number.
Also, I think KongZhong is wrong about GW2 passing 4 million sales, because NCSoft/ANet did not make an official PR statement, which they have always done for every million milestone. With their aggressive discounted sales, it makes sense that they’re trying to hit the 4 million mark, but I don’t think they’re there yet.
Kong Zhong is the publisher and would know the numbers. A.Net would not as they are just the developer of the game. Just because A.Net/NCSoft did not make any official announcement, doesn’t mea it didn’t happen.
There is a 3rd party Action Combat mod which might be just what you are looking for. Googling ‘GW2 Action Combat mod’ should bring it up. The dev’s seem to be okay with it since it doesn’t actually offer an advantage.
Combat mod is verboten based on A.Net’s FAQ. They do not allow 3rd party mods to be used. Use at your own risk and if you are caught and banned, don’t come here to whine about it.
Tasca’s is in the game already
http://zoom.it/TWLx#full here is a comparison of GW1 to GW2.
FoW and UW will NOT be in game until the Gods come back to the world, since the entrance was controlled by the Gods.
I don’t get the logic of some players who wants everyone to go through the annoying grind just because they did. I guess if that is what makes you feel cool, then hurray for you.
Exotic gear should not be time-gated.
As I said, you have to BUY the recipes to make the armor, which you can only buy now on the TP. Why should they not be gated? The recipies were only out 1 month each for the 2 yrs the game was out. That is why they should be gated.
It was OP. It occurred for 10 sec with a 10 sec recharge rate, so it was OP.
I say if anything mounts would actually reduce the performance hit because instead of having access to at least ten skills mounts would provide three to four skills at most. That’s at least 50-60% less interaction with other players which needs to be calculated and then transferred to the server.
. Slowly loping through the countryside was replaced by frenzied runaway psycho ponies. I built a player home stable for them and retired them all.
