The combat system. That’s pretty much the only thing that has kept me invested in this game for so long. I’ve been playing this game sense the betas, and it’s depressing to see how little this game has changed over its lifespan. We got some UI improvements, some nice and snazzy quality-of-life mechanics, and a whole lot of living story content that was added and immediately removed. For any other game, people would have packed up and left a long time ago in much larger numbers.
But after 2 years, I’m still here. And so are many others. The core mechanics of this game are just that good. But it isn’t enough. ANET is swindling the golden opportunity they made.
After about a year, the only way I could manage to play this game was to take long breaks periodically. When I come back, I mostly dabble in the living story episodes that come out and spend the rest of my time in PvP, which is feel is the only form of content in this game that actually makes use of the core mechanics that define this game to their fullest. But seeing nearly no growth at all in PvP over 2 years, only adding bullkitten things it doesn’t need and apparently having an autistic balancing team (seriously, what the hell do they do all day? ANET must have a balancing team, right? They couldn’t have disbanded that team too.), I find myself taking my breaks sooner and sooner every time I come back.
Sigh. I want to love this game. I really, really do. I remember spending all day on the GW2guru forums talking about this game and speculating when the game was still in alpha. I remember how excited everyone was to see the horribly shaky cell-phone videos of the game at game conventions, and hearing about the game from the developers, especially from Johanson.
I really want to love this game. But ANET keeps on making it harder and harder. They better have something big after season 2, or a lot of people are just going to give up and leave for good.
It’s hard as a white knight but… This I acually agree with it’s almost the same for me. I though I would spend whole days in this wintersday event but no, I almost havent played it, I didn’t even finnish the wintersday meta… The Mail we got from the orphan, I find it being booring and so horrid, I don’t like that we have to look for the same guy once a day for three days and well it is not much too it… And the latest LS chapters has been to short and not much action, I hope this will be better now.
I still find GW2 the best MMO there is but if I don’t have my breaks now … I can’t play it, I dunno what to do. I played Champions Online 4 years ago, I started playing it again one month ago and I like it again. The same will work with GW2.

People have different definitions of “leaving” a game. Rarely does someone who takes enough time to post their opinions on the game quit 100%. They are posting because they want to make the game better. They “leave” in the sense that this may no longer be their primary game, or they may only play 1/10th of what they used to. It rarely means that they don’t ever log in at all.
A player who posts constructive feedback or sugestions whants the game better… Players who trolls the thread with a comment to a new player with ’ You won’t find it fun, I left long time ago becouse I didn’t like what they did with the trait system’. Say how will that help this game at all?
EDIT: Also if its the inactive “trolls” that you really wish to block. How could you or ArenaNet possibly do it? All they would have to do is log in to their account for a second and technically they’re “active” again.
Umm… Well that’s what I wanted help to figure out, but with the suggestion I made was that maby some “trolls” does not wanna have the game installed just to make posts or it is to much “work” to be able to post some unessary posts and have their so called forum PvP.

Just what I said but it is not those with constructive feedback I am complaining about am I, did I ever say that? Saying they leave the game and don’t… Okay, but still more or less every post they make efter that is uncunstructive and if they are constructive they compare it to the new game they recently started playing or whent back too.

Not sure how you know these players are inactive. The minute we start saying one person’s opinion is genuine and the other person’s opinion is trolling is where we get into trouble. We just have to deal with it.

I could bring up a whole list of quotes from people who claims they have quit a long time ago becouse they are so frustaited with the game but they still hang around here, a few of these players that has bade these quotes also come with constructive feedback and is realy good for the game but I have seen so many more that has been just poluting the forums and luckely moderators on these forums has been deleating a few of their own original posts but when they post on others threads they do not get deleated that easy.

There are more and more of them and I don’t understand why they are still on these forums posting? I mean they are just trolling, they do not give any constructive feedback, they go with stuff like ‘I quit as soon as I noticed that this game didn’t give what it was announced to give’ and then they ae still on these forum giving comments to new players who asks for advice on what to do to make them like the game even more.
Most people are smart and does not listen to those trolls but some aint it can derail posts and be totaly poisonous to the community.
Can we do something against them? Can there be atleast a need to log in to game once a month to enter forums (That way trolls has to install and Update GW2 or have it installed if they wanna troll the forums)? Some other ideas or am I the only one bothered by this?
And a question; The report post button, can I use it if it is a troll post?

5. The updates. Unless they got something BIG coming then wth am i looking at here? They created a huge world in what? 4 years? Now it’s been 2 and asides content that was there and gone (like marionette, molten facility, tower of nightmares) we’re getting one map that’s size of a single zone from the base game. Yes it’s way more complex and fun, but for pete’s sake…one permanent zone after two years!!
One new zone in two years…? Am I counting wrong? 4 years? You are of by a year… The game was released in august 2012 and they have learned their mistakes with LS Season 1 so you should start new map count from the start of season 2 as it’s from there we have got all permanent stuff… So from July the first 2014 until now we have got two new permanent zones. That is in 6 months we have got two new Advanced Zones, that is pretty neat if you ask me!

Edgar – I didn’t mean in the way of “introduce 50 traits all at once”, do a few a year, that’s fine. I said I understand balance needs.
Look, the cdis were/are a great start for communication. I love Chris for starting them, and other devs joining in at times. But the other reason I like them because they show WHAT they are looking into and perhaps working on. Chris stated and made clear things there are not promises, and both he and those participating made sure that was known.
I want to see that happen in state of the game blogs. Just a " here is what we are looking in to, what may come, but no promises!" Just like the CDIs. If anything, make it a list of potential cdi topics.
But even if you introduce one new trait or skill once a year, in the end there will be an overflow of trait/skills that will just be a waste of space.
Even if you say that you won’t use what they said against them if Chris says " here is what we are looking in to, what may come, but no promises!", people will be angry and complain that they didn’t stick up to their promise and even post stuff that chris said but neglect to point out the part where it is said " here is what we are looking in to, what may come, but no promises!" it has happened so many times before and not only in this game.

I love this game but I don’t play it more than a few hours a week now as I don’t wanna be tired of the game. But mostly what I do now is doing Living Story, PvP and I am trying out to level a character in the new NPE wich I realy like actually.

I can agree with number 5 becouse I was one of them who didn’t like it, but there was a good explenation and I accept it in the end, but I forbid them to do something like that again! :P
The rest of the points I do not agree with. We don’t need more skills to twist our puny brains more, more skills will result in many skills will do more of the same thing and the game will be harder to balance.
I realy like the living story and the way it is presented, but sure each episode could be a little longer and I do not like the 6-ish weeks breaks.
I like the trait redesign, I can’t experience it enough since I played since headstart but I would have liked to unlock my traits by doing specific stuff while exploring the world.
To me it sounds like the veterans are used to have all traits and do not like this change as they already know what they would have liked to trait while a new player do not look for metas and try to build the best build leveling from level 30-80. On the other hand I feel sad for those players who do not find PvE that interesting and want’s to do WvW pretty early… They will get punished. That needs a fix and there are lot of good suggestions about that in other threads that are more constructive.
The Policy, well if I where them I would have done this too as it is easier to handle people who have itchy fingers and impatient kids than people who for almost a year whines about how betrayed they feel that Precursor crafting never happened and other stuff.

Squaresoft has been my absolute favorite game company almost my whole life… Not anymore though… I liked Enix too so I didn’t mind them working together but as soon as they started doing Online games and stupid card games I lost it all for them… I realy liked Final Fantasy 1-10, 12 … After that it all went downwards.
I won’t play iether FFXI or FFXIV even if it is free.
The entire FF franchise went to “hell” when the main devs of the FF series left to create Mistwalker in 2004.Look at the timeline and how FF has been progressing since then,it basically ( eventhough i still enjoy playing the FF series ) went downhill since these 3 keyfigures left.

It does not feel right to talk about this here… So I will just quickly say I am a fan of the Final Fantasy Tactics world (Inlcuding Advance) so Final Fantasy XII was one of the best FF games for me, though as you say Final Fantasy X was the last real Final Fantasy.
Also I have missed those Mistwalker prod games due to them being awfully expensive, but someday I will play them.

Well in my opinion, players who joins solo or team PvP with a class they have never played are pretty dumb in the first place. So in short, it is not the daily fault it is the players who are stupid enough to join solo or team arenas when they are in need of practice in Hotjoin.
I don’t do PvP: is there a tutorial? Players see these tasks in their Dailies window so they want to try them – are they directed as to the best way to start doing PvP?
Well since I did the tutorial on my first enter to the mist (PvP lobby) when this game was on headstart and you can only do it once on your account… I don’t know if there is a tutorial anymore and I can’t remeber what you learn from it, sorry. But it isn’t hard enough to browse through the PvP window (The crossed swords on the top menu) and find Practice maches.
You can always get to the tutorial by talking to the Master of Travel near the other gate (the one that doesn’t go to Lion’s Arch) from the Mists Lobby.

I think it is more to it than a ‘Someone complains, we gotta do something about it!’ matter. They gott to gather information, what is bad and how can we fix it if it needs a “fix”. Just becouse 30 players on the forum complains it doesn’t realy mean that it is so bad as it seems on the forums. The only ones disappointed will be those who are disgusted by the NPE, with new changes maby some players who are disgusted by the NPE will not be that anymore but there will be other players Disgusted by the new new changes.
I like the NPE, the only thing I don’t like is the level gated Poi’s, Vistas, Skill Points, diving spots and other map related stuff, it does not do any good for new players in my opinion.
Meh, you could make the exact same point about the opposite side. “Just because 10 people on the forum say that the NPE is the best thing since sliced bread, doesn’t mean it’s as good.” Can’t have it both ways; either forum opinions count or they don’t. And to insist that nothing should be changed since someone, somewhere, might complain is, well… you could say that about every patch since launch day. That horse left the barn long ago.
And like I said, if it takes Anet 4+ months to gather basic information, then that really doesn’t reflect very well on them, does it?
Umm… I never said it can’t be the other way around. But what you say is that there is so much wrong with NPE and it has to be fixed now or else you will be sorry! How the fudge do you know that!? Do you have the numbers? Do you know that there has to be a fix and that majority of the playerbase will make Anet disapointed if they do not “fix” this right away? Anet has employes who reeds the forums day and night and they have there eyes on other communites like reddit, Facebook, Twitter and more. I won’t say that they know what they are doing but atleast I beleave that Anet knows what they are doing. So if it takes over 4 months before it is “fixed” maby it means it is a hard nut to crack, or they are working on something different or you could be the minority and there won’t ever be a “fix” to your issues.
I have been playing many different MMO’s for many years now and I have had my opinions and suggestions about stuff… I have never had any of my suggestions come true but I know that they do listen to what I have to say and I know that my opinions are notet but it doesn’t mean they have to walk the path I wan’t them to since my opinions may be less good than some other opinions or something. What I mean is that it is good to have your opinions and giving your feedback is important for the gamedevelopers but don’t expect that your opinions and suggestions are always the best way to go. So to me it sounds like you think your opinions are number 1 and they have to listen to you or they are making a big mistake.
So, no fix in 4+ months.
There as been word about a fix to the Personal Story wich is the one that has most bugs and realy needs a fix.
The rest, does it need a fix?
A big update does not happen in one day, it needs programing, graphics, Bugtesting, more programing, more bugtesting, maby some more programing, maby more graphics, maby some story or atleast some script, and alot of other stuff I don’t know about, and a clearence from the top that it is ok to be released (I think) and finally it also has to wait until release day for this update.

shadow — You are right, there haven’t been a lot of updates on this topic since the OP. I just wasn’t sure if you’d see the “We’re aware of these things” part. If so, my apologies. And yes, for the most part, changes to NPE are still on the “to do” list. But there’s no lack of understanding by the devs. For instance, our narrative director, Leah, posted about changes that need to be made in relation to the Personal Story.
But here’s the thing: It’s been almost 4 months now, and nothing about the NPE has been changed since the 9/16 patch except for the diving goggles not unlocking bug (ignoring the fact that that bug was introduced my the NPE). Just how long are we supposed to wait? I know I’ve mostly moved on the the games I was neglecting for GW2; I’m likely far from the only person to have done so. If you really think all the disgusted people are going to put up with this NPE kitten unchanged for over a year or so, you’ll likely find yourselves very disappointed.

Sadly probably not… They have said that they will put SAB on ice for a long long time as it takes away working hours of the living story and other updates. Not saying it can’t happen but I doubt that it will be back to april and also last SAB wasn’t even in april… was it?

Eh what? GW2 sucks? Eh what? SooooOOooo The whole Dev team is around 3-4 people becouse what I remember (I am brobably wrong) is that one or two Devs that was present from the start has left, and you know what!? They left and made realy bad games in my opinion.
I guess I am lucky that GW2 isn’t a good game for you becouse for me GW2 is a good game for me as it is now. Sure it can always be better but in my opinion the dev teams are doing a good job listening to the community and updating this game.

Sorry but OP sounds realy like a troll…
Pretty obvious he/she has played it all over and over again, there is no game fun enough to play that many times… I you have to play computer games I advice you to find another game, sounds like you have played GW2 more than enough … Just keep logging in now and then for bonuses and LS unlocks and come back after a year or two. I myself do have a small break from GW2 and playing Hyrule Warriors but I love GW2 most of all MMO’s I have played and it is still fun to play… It’s just that I don’t wanna get in OP’s situation.

Google “gw2 skill points to gold” – there’s a website link in the reddit thread listed on Google that will let you know the promoting costs to reward per skill point – quite useful.
if its egg barons spreadsheet, it doesnt include common tier 1 to t2 promotion, which is usually the most lucrative promotion per skillpoint.
But for lazy people that cant be kittened to do some basic calculations by themselves, its quite useful, i guess.

Well I don’t get it… I try to follow this page but I am sure I do something wrong becouse I loose money doing this.
For example; I buy ingedients for ‘Thin leather section forging’ (70s per SP and 7s per combine)… Well when I forge the ingedients in MF I usually get a low number of mats and my latest numbers was a “profit” of ~-2s per combine and in the end a “profit” of -8s. Even though the site updated it said that this mat should yeild a profit of 63s per SP and 6s per combine.
Iether I am very unlucky with the numbers of mats I get or I have missunderstood the charts compleately.

DISCLAIMER: those spreadsheets take an average return rate of people whose mystic forge experience isn’t cursed somehow. For example, I recently bought and refined 9000 crafting materials (both take time) and forged them. My average return rate was wayyy below the “break even” point, hence I lost gold.

In my opinion:
LS is realy nice, I get hooked in the story for every new LS chapter but the bad thing about it is that it is to darn short. But that won’t be a problem for you as you have missed a whole lot of it but my advice is to wait until the season is compleate before you play it to maximize enjoyment and not to forget what happened last time… But remember to always log in a second every LS update so you have the story for free, it isn’t that hard.
So I am gonna give some feedback at the same time;
- A little longer chapters, last LS was almost shorter than a TV-show to see. And to leave us out in the dessert with a very bad cliffhanger just like that was a little wierd (it can’t be good every time).
- Please a way to choose if you want a little quick “This has happened movie” would be nice, it is a pain reading or playing through the LS every two weeks :P
- Please make instances a little longer, I like the fighting instances but they are over way to fast and there is too little fighting most of the time. I hope that in the future they can be long like dungeons and even be enough to take their place.

uhmm, GW2 is inferior because it’s nothing more then a grind fest with allot of spam fests attached to it.
to give you an idea why GW1 is superior, not by nostalgia but by fact:
-a need of strategy, if you just pick random skills you’re going to die really fast, you also should never charge the enemy without a solid plan.
-gear without restrictions, you can walk around with max armor without grind and materials are easy to come by to craft armor, all that matters is the style of armor not the stats. (also no armor tier, it’s white and nothing else)
-interesting dialogs, one thing i can’t stand about GW2 is the “let’s read what’s on paper” speaches, now GW1 isn’t all to perfect ether but there is at least a sense of personal speech told by the character, not the voice actor.
-dungeons for fun, there are plenty of fun dungeons that doesn’t force you it to a hard mode playstyle, just normal enemies with some more powerful ones but not crazy overpowered. (all GW2 has is hard mode dungeons without even one single easy mode one for fun)
-quests, no really, quests in GW1 makes it superior simply because there is direction of playing the game, they are also not generic so no “kill X of Y and bring back to Z” quests.(really, even if some quests are generic i rather have quests then renown hearts, that’s what i can call boring)
-no trait system, yeas you see it right, it a wonderful thing to have no trait system at all.all GW2 has above GW1 is that it’s open world, i don’t even call jumping a good thing unless it’s needed and Anet made it useful by adding jumping puzzles but that’s it.
if you call GW2’s story great then you have not seen much fantasy movies, in every turn it’s boring, every plot brings us to another boring part.
it’s like watching lord of the rings but without magical creatures, plenty of politicians and all the areas filmed on a trash dump, BORING.GW1 is good for allot of things, it’s superior in allot of ways.
you might not like it but it’s there, i rather have a game that makes me think then a game that only allows me to spam skills without even the slightest reason why.
I dunno what GW1 and GW2 you play but it can’t be the same games as I do.
GW1 is more grindy than GW2, in GW1 PvE is realy grindy if you want any of the special armors and stuff, to unlock some skills you had to slot a special skill and go in and out of a map until the right enemy apeared and more and in GW2 you can do more or less everything without grinding any content of the game at all.
Sure strategy was good in GW1 but with the meta builds you just rolled over mostly anything without even trying, even your henchmens/heroes did the work for you.
At the same time you say strategy is needed for GW1 you say GW2 Dungeons are hard content… With a good strategy the dungeons is realy easy to do, just as in GW1 it’s about the right way to pull an enemy and to know when to interrupt or get out of line of sight and more.
Ascended armor in GW2 does so little for you that it won’t matter that much, so again… You don’t need to grind anything to be able to do any content. And also, just enjoy the game and money and materials for crafting will come to you and someday you may have ascended gear. Grind is when you need to repeat a single content to get to another content but in GW2 you get most of the stuff wherever you are (Accept for mid level crafting mats wich is something I myself complain about).
In my opinion I hate quests and since I started playing GW2 I can’t play other games with quests anymore.
And traitsystem is one of the coolest parts in GW2 customization in my opinion.
And once again you complain that GW2 is so easy that you just can spam skills and… yet you complain about difficult dungeons? Maby there is a reason to why they are so hard.

My suggestions for adjusting the PvE meta:
- Add more enemies throughout the game that only take condition damage (like wurm husks)
- Add a new condition called Hemorrhage that gets applied whenever Bleed reaches 25 stacks. Hemorrhage is twice as strong as Burning and lasts 3 seconds and does not stack. It is only meant to proc when Bleed gets too high on PvE mobs, and give an actual benefit to condi players working together.
- Rework Defiant along with Toughness. Make it so that Toughness has thresholds at which CC skills remove more than 1 stack of Defiant, up to 5 stacks at 2500 Toughness. This will allow CC builds to be a real thing.
- Rework Endurance so that it regenerates about 50% slower by default. Rework Vitality so that it increases endurance regen by 50% at 2500 Vitality. This is aimed to make vitality more attractive in PvE and force pure zerkers to be a lot more careful about wasting a dodge. Even with Vigor, pure zerkers would still have a net gain of 50% faster regen.
- Add more enemies that deal low damage, yet high speed attacks. The point is to counter them through protection and regeneration, not dodging. This will also allow Retaliation and Confusion to be more viable.

I have never had any problems with this event and never ever thought about the boss.
According to Wiki he does not have a block skill and only one knockdown and one Knockback. Maby he was bugged?
This I am going to say is only my opinion but going without a slotted Stability or atleast a stunbreak is ‘doing something wrong’.

Maby you should stop and think why some of those suggestions just doesn’t pop up.
Mounts/Dueling/Open world PvP – There are alot of mixed opinion on this topic so it would hurt the game atleast as much as it will be good for the game so I think they won’t win anything on develop this at the moment.
Advanced Crafting – Personaly I have never seen this topic so I don’t even know what it is.
Housing/Hunting/Fishing – While it would be something nice it is still something that won’t give the game realy new life and I think it would cost more than it would give at the moment.
Now what this game could need and that has been asked for for years is Dungeons and more game modes for PvP but I am pretty sure that they are working on it, in fact about the PvP part they have been implementing game modes for Custom Arenas so that’s a sign… But it is realy sloooOOoooOooooooOOOoooow for some reason. But a fan boy as I am, I am sure they are doing the best they can.
In short; Give it a year but I don’t think you will se most of those examples being implemented next year.

The biggest single mistake they made was thinking they could do away with a dedicated healer class, which restricts what they can actually do with content and leads to the zerk meta as well as encounters with bosses that are pretty vanilla- make it too hard and players just get one shotted (so no point in wearing anything but zerk anyway), make it easier and zerk is still the best option…
I think they would have been better off calling it Jump Puzzle 2, but of course calling it ‘Guild Wars’ sold a lot of copies to GW fans and players that otherwise might never have bought it.
Yea becouse the majority of the time spent on the game is Jumping Puzzles?
I am one of those who likes to play healers in other MMO’s but I rather play the way GW2 is made. Sure I would like for Anet to make a healer build more viable but I understad that that is hard in a non Trinity game.

it would have been nice if they would have just kept releasing expansions for guild wars. this is a decent game, but it isn’t nearly as epic as guild wars was. i played guild wars 1 more than i do 2, and still would if i had anything left to do on any of my characters
In hindsight, yes they could have made it work. GW1 was immensely popular and the expansion model (when in full swing) kept the players playing.
GW1 was a bloated mess by the time EOTN rolled around, iirc that was a large part of why they started making GW2 in the first place.
uhmm, not to start anything but GW2 is worse of in 2 years then GW1 was in 6 years, i rather keep GW1 updated and fix the big problems rather then keeping up with this mess called GW2.
i actually wonder why they don’t take advantage of GW1 for GW2, releasing expansions in GW1 and then adding it in GW2 would both add stuff to do in GW1 and makes it possible to expand GW2 in that direction.
there are plenty of places completely locked out, expand there in GW1 first and later make the expansion in GW2 in the same spot on the map.

I realy liked GW1… But I realy like GW2 more and I feel that most of the stuff that makes it GW is still there; The races, the lore, the skills, character models, Enemies, the fact that you build a specific build with skills (Sure it’s different but the concept is still the same), the flow of the game…
I dunno, the only thing that isn’t GW1 in my opinion is that you now can jump, move freely, act while moving, no trinity and also that there isn’t millions of skills but still only one or two metas.
While playing and eploring GW2 I always got a good feeling when remembering old places from GW1 and see and hear about characters from GW1 and alot more… Sure maby the main plot doesn’t involve GW1 lore that much (Until now) but the world does.

I have played since headstart but have only compleated the game with 2 chars… I though do not care about the rewards, I just wait for new friends to play the story with and enjoy the game together with friends. I play it slow but sure and I always play for enjoyment, if it’s not fun I don’t play… In my opinion, better rewards is not fun.
How many times have you compleated Super Mario Bros.? If you compleated it more that two times, why did you do it? Did you do it for rewards/Score? Or… Was it just*fun*.

I don’t care for any announcements before a release, it is so pathetic to even say thay they have to announce anything at all and more or less no Devs for an MMO does that anymore becouse they know how much crap they will get if they delay or trash what they have promiced. I have seen it happen in every MMO I have played and the forums looks just like this one where poeple claims that this and that game has Devs that always says this and that, but on this and that gameforum we see the exact same type of posts.
Vayne clearly proves by his post that there is work going on at Anet and that they could be around a hundred working on some content- What it is, we can only speculate in and if we “White knights” will beleave it is something good and “doom and gloomers” whant to beleave it’s something bad let it be so… Let the future tell that tale.

First of all.. Don’t even try to compare this game with WoW, if you do I am sure you will leave again pretty soon.
There is no holy trinity in this game so in a way there is no healer class in GW2 and I played WoW before BC so I don’t know much about druids anymore. But Elementalists and Guardians has the best setup for behing healers if you must in my opinion.
Norn race has skills to transform to animals but it is no way near how it works in WoW. My advice is to try guardian, I guess they are closest, but still you should not compare this game to WoW in a single way.

Each time you add a new skill or a new trait you have to take it to consideration when you balance the classes.
They have enough problems as it is allready. I dunno if it is true or not but I think I remember I read somewhere why they don’t have as many skills and classes as in GW1 is becouse it is more or less impossible to find even an okay balance.
And then we have the hard to get part, in GW2 most content should be available to get for more or less every player and in a way they feel confy with, like as they did with traits in the first feature patch where you now can get traits by finding them or just buy them.
There are content for those who wanna feel a little more special, you have the Fractals ascended stuff.
I can agree tough that there is too little stuff to go for except for skins.

Umm… Becouse a Thief is a Thief.
They don’t have to be stealthy in this game so assasin should be the wrong name. The sub-category of a Thief could be Assasin but if you trait yourself outside shadow arts… Go for no stealth and venoms instead and you may be umm… A defiler :P
A rogue is more of a vanderer, someone who have learned to live on the streets… The word Rogue suits no better just becouse it is used in WoW.

Toughness affect critical damage, it just doesn’t scale like against normal direct damage.
About condition damage, Vitality is the stat that “counter” conditions and Healing Power support both defensive stats.
Though Vitality and healing counters power attacks too …
So people would rather go Vitality, Power +something else but not toughness.
Personaly I could make a Nomad build now and live with it but I guess alot of other players would hate me.

A while back I read about toughness being a useless stat more or less, becouse of it seems that is has no effect on Condition damage and Critical hits.
Also I would like to add that I am no programer and I am bad at math so I am not sure that what I am about to say is possible.

Condition damage: Up the damage a little bit.
Toughness: it mitigates all kind condition damage and Criticals.

While toughness now mitigates Condition damage, each new condition that is applied now drains the mitigation. If target cleanses all conditions or the conditions runs out and target is “clean” it’s mitigation resets.
So let’s say you have so much toughness so you get 78% Condition mitigation (That’s alot of toughness), you will now negate 78% of the Damage conditions do to you! (Oh no! To OP!).
- A necromancer applies a poison on you and you negate 78% damage every tick.
- But then the necromancer fears you and then you “only” negate 77% damage every tick from poison and fear.
- Now the necromances applies Poison, Torment, Vulnebility, weakness and 3 bleeding (that is a total of 7 new condition) so you only negate 70% Damage every tick from all the conditions that does damage.
- A thief then applies another 7 bleeding on you and you are down to 63% mitigation.
- But you cleanse all your conditions and now you are back to 78% mitigation again.
With this I think turrets and other objects that couldn’t be hit by conditions before should now only have alot of condition mitigation but be able to be hit by conditions.
As I said, I am no programmer or good at math so it may not be possible or just numbers needs some tweaking… I dunnu, but in my head it sounds kinda cool.

My questions; isn’t the Dry Top Sandstorm events making players play together? Isn’t the new Silverwastes defend event getting people to play togheter? Sure there isn’t one new massive area to put players in every two weeks but there is always content aimed for the MMO part.In fact there is no more LS now.
We get some quests every now and then, more like a personal story, and additionally some persistent content on new and existing maps.
This is just like EVERY other theme park MMO out there.
Yea true, I am one of those who liked the old LS concept better than this new one. But I just umm… complain over this constant complaining over stuff that just isn’t true, atleast in my opinion. In my opinion there has more or less been almost as much MMO feel to the game from day one with some ups and down but never with a constant down spiral :P
Actually what I feel more lacking since the new LS is the updates to WvW and PvP… Before updates included updates for every aspect of the game, now it’s mostly aimed at the living story it seems. I should not complain for I mostly do PvE but I feel for the WvW and PvP players.

ah okay so there is a map/area called eye of the north i have to enter and then just complete like u say as much as possible until i get 10 points, and when i add the gw1 to gw2 i have the skin ? also, best/fastest race to go on in gw1 ?
Eye of the North is the last expansion for GW1 and it is rather big.
I don’t remember if Eye of the North was a stand-alone expansion pack as the others are.

I would advice you to try trial and if you like the game you go buy them all.
When you have reached a place called Eye of the North in Eye of the North Expansion you can start to visit the Hall of Monuments. But you will need Tapestries wich you will find/get during the game play of Eye of the North Expansion. With these tapestries you can start to collect on stuff such as Minipets, Uniqe armors, Heroes Uniqe armors, defeated final bosses and more. With each trophie you have recorded in the Hall of monuments in GW1 you will get points (defferent amount depending on what trophies). To get these points to work for GW2 you have to link you GW1 and GW2 account with each other via your profile on this site here.
And you don’t have to worry, you can link your accounts even before you got any points becouse even if you play GW1 later you will still be able to continue to unlock stuff in the Hall of Monuments.

This one is realy good, she can play GW2 almost without any complications… The only problems is for her to cast Aim skills. This is the thing she uses for GW2 at the moment. But it requires you to use Xpadder wich is a program in the red-zone, but I am pretty sure that you are safe as long as you don’t use any macros. But as said before, you are never safe when using thirdparty stuff.
