I know.. no life.

My question: Do I have 2 nights to finish the last 15% so I can get it in before the big change, or do I have 9 nights?

I am probably the only person in Tyria who wants another week before the “big patch.”

I would doubt that it be this week as E3 is this week and they are there to promote the expanion or rather Guild Halls. Also last teuseday was Patchday even if we didn’t get much from it, it still was a patch https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/info/updates .

So the closest time for the update would be next week… But I doubt that too, and I have no specific reason to doubt it more than it would just be to good to be true.

We need a barber shop

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

My thought on it, is that they should introduce the Barber Shop, but still charge gems for the service. Just less than the cost of the kits.

Actually, instead of a Barber Shop, make it a spa that offers the facial changes too. If it were a little cheaper, I think more people would pay to use it. Also, having be an in-game location would serve to expand the community in a positive way and also cater to role players.

Edit: OK, this profanity filter really needs to be looked into. There’s no reason I couldn’t say “a kitteneaper” just because certain letters line up. -_-

Is it a problem now? Is there not enough players buying Total Makeover kits as it is now? I agree that more would probably buy if they where cheaper but would that make for a better income? And if they locked it to a specific lacation in the game, would that also bring a better sale on character costumization part?

Sure it would be a nice place for roleplayers, butt hey they can add a spa without any specific mechanic locked in to it…

Now about your complaint about profanity filter, yes it is good that it is this way since alot does try to get around it by having spaces or different spelling of the words. It is not that hard for you to press “Edit” and change it so it works and I notice that you did it perfectly fine.

When does New Player Experience change?

Even though all I do is WvW, I was setting out to get the traits I wanted when I see that one of them requires a level 70 Story event! I’ve not completed the Story on any of my toons. Now I have to do the Story to get a trait?

I hope I dont come out as rude now but, if you havent played the story at all I advice you to that. This game has so much more than just WvW. I think this was the point with all this locking traits behind content, so that it would make more players do them. I had to go to WvW to get some traits, I have grown so bored of WvW so I just hated that… I Know that there will be a fix to the traits soon but I wanted it now so I bought it, the money is well spent becouse I can use the trait now.

Now if you only play WvW, I have sad news for you… You will probably need to do some pure PvE after the Specialization update as you will probably need to go out and hunt some Hero Point challenges.

Oh and by the way, if you happen to follow my advice and do the story, I advice you again that the experience gets easier and more enjoyable if you play it with a friend or more.

I wouldn’t mind having every cosmetic for free.
I mean, why charge for Cosmetic gear? Other games gives you cosmetics for free just look at Sleeping Dogs.

I want all dyes and new dyes for free!
I mean just look at other games like Art Accademy!

I want all toys for free!
I mean just look at Guitar hero games!

Why must everything cost money!? I mean atm alot of dyes and cosmetics are allready free, why not give us everything for free?
…..

To be Honest. This is how Anet makes money on us and I am one of those who gladly pay money for cosmetic stuff and some convenience stuff. At the moment I can’t complain about anything (except Living story) that is in store that should have been free instead. Maby GW2 doesn’t do as that other game and maby they sell this in a much easier and/or cheaper way than GW2 but this is GW2 and this is how it works here. Now I don’t mind people having opinion and they are free to exress them but, if Anet where to make a barber shop I would want a refund on all my Hairstyling kits I have used almost everytime a new haircut or colour has been added to the game. And what about these players who bought Infinite Hair styling kits for alot of gold, should they just live with it?

As long as they don’t add new and “needed” content in to the store I am fine with it, having the Living Story in the store is a step alittle too close though, but I am not gonna derail this thread.

Hero Points & old characters: breach of trust

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Another massive shove from Anet to try and pigeonhole players into playing one or if your lucky, two toons.

I have around 30 level 80 toons, probably use ten of them on a fairly regular basis.

So that’s between 650 and 1950 times I need to hunt around pve maps doing stuff I don’t want to do to unlock build variance on my characters and have a chance at making either my existing build or a new one (as many builds are killed off by the new trait system/wvw changes).

Not to mention probably needing different armor sets on quite a few of them.

I’m glad this isn’t a grindy Korean MMO, I’d hate to see what they did then….

The more I read of this expansion the less enthusiastic I am about it. But I’ll probably still buy it, for whenever I come back to the game more regularly.

Even though my opinions doesn’t go with many others on this thread, I hope that WvW will be insta maxed just as PvP is… Becouse this is getting rediculous… 30 characters becouse you don’t wanna swap between builds? reading this sounds like WvW should not be mixed with PvE at all as it is now. It mostly WvW-only players that complains. PvE players should be happy becouse now there is a real reason exept for 100% explorer to do the SPC. And players who wanna do WvW wouldnt have to Farm EotM to level up their toons.

You all act like you are being asked to complete maps 100% to get your skills back…. how much time does it take to run up to a symbol on the map, comuning with that place of power, and going to the next? Or maybe you have to god forbid fight something that doesn’t have another player behind it. Seriously…. yes you are losing progression, sorry…. suck it up butter cup and just do the easily done “challenges”.

65 skill challenges
8 professions currently available
That’s 520 skill challenges
The entire world map only has 189 skill challenges.

Go do every skill point. Now do it again. Now do 3/4 of them again. Does that seem so trivial to you? Just to get back to where we are right now?

Do you know what!?

I have 11 characters 9 of them at level 80 and all of them have atleast 65 SPC made… I think my new toons are near 65 SPC too, you know it does not take that much time if you do the SPC at the starter zones and only goes from them.
Also you WvW-only players, you should try to do some PvE now and then anyway to get some variation. Now i agree and I feel sorry for those who have spent money and SP on traits so I would like for them to get a refund but they should not get any free HP. All new players who make alts will have to do HPC, this will be nothing different to anyone.
if you are a PvP-only player you will not be affected by this and if you are a WvW-only player you do actually have a good amount of HP to get on the WvW map. Now if you are a EotM farmer… I do not feel sorry for you at all since you ruined a good map.

I will get so flamed but this is my opinion.

The game run out of content when you are 80?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: EdgarMTanaka.7291

EdgarMTanaka.7291

That is in my opinion a good list of things to do in a 3yo game compaired to the former MMO I played where this was/is the content after max level after 7-8 years.

- “Dungeons”(10 raids, 35 3-6-man)(Instances).
- Scirmish (19 of them)(Challange mode thingy).
- Crafting.
- Exploring.
- Main Story.
- Festival Events.
- Quests.
- Mounted Combat.
- Housing.
- PvP.

Found the LOTRO player

Shhhh!!!

Honestly gw2 end game is pretty average. Maybe a bit above because of PvP and WvW (actually certainly above average because of it). For PvE About the same amount of content as most MMOs.

More content for one without any expansions but less than most 3 year old MMOs (w/ expansions already as most get one at 1.5-2 years) if that makes sense. Hoping it catches up when HoT releases.

Edit – to be clear I’d still put gw2 as one of the best MMOs out there (depending on taste ofc) games like EQN may pass it up but they aren’t out for awhile yet.

But as I said in earlier posts, most expansion makes old content absolete in other MMO’s. For a Veteran player those game might feel big and have alot of content but for a newly introduced player to that game would feel that there is alot of places but the player will outlevel outgear the old content and have no point in doing expansion 1 and 2 but skip and go directly to expansion 3. I havent played WoW so don’t take my word for it but what I have heard is that they have made it alot easier to level up the low levels so you will quicker be able to get to the new content.

Most content that is stays interesting are like new classes and reces but maps and dungeons mostly gets obsolete.

But in GW2 we will always have max level 80 and every part of the game is still rewarding no matter what level you are. Well I guess if you have compleated all Achievements on the Living Story I guess it’s not that rewarding to replay but everything else. You can still go back to queensdale and kill the behemoth and get good rewards even though you are level 80 and have bought the expansion pack in the future.

Engineer Specialization, signets anyone?

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Posted by: EdgarMTanaka.7291

EdgarMTanaka.7291

Well the engineer as a class doesn’t use magic, signets are magic based.

So no it don’t really make sense.

Assuming they don’t do a retcon and give engineers something based on magic that leaves

1: Stances

2: Mechanical minions

3: Venoms (could be an offensive utility based type)

4: Tricks/traps

or something completely new.

Personally my bet is on mechanical minions or venoms.

To communty sadness (Alot of players realy hate minions with bad AI) but happiness for me I mostly think it could be mechanical Minions as from the video with an Engineer running with a hammer and having a few observer looking droids flying after the engineer.

Mounts [merged]

EdgarMTanaka.7291

Yea, Waypoints breaks immersion…? O_o But the usuall Pocket horses that all other MMO’s have dont?

When you have played the living story a little bit you will find that Waypoints is a big part of the story and are in no way immersion breaking.

I dunno but I have yet to se a horse in game. In a world wihtout horses or with a very few horses is a world where not many uses horses as a mount. Now Dolyaks has been used as mounts but they are not that good to ride in too battle with. It has been done but it was more something dwarves did. In GW2 there has been a few undead or demon horses but still not many of them.

Now stuff to mount on the other hand are a few in the game already. We have:
- Golems and other warmachines.
- Magic carpet.
- Molten tunnel drill.
- A witches broom.

The game run out of content when you are 80?

EdgarMTanaka.7291

Impressive, a shame everything of your PvE list can be done in half a year max – easily. Some of it is recycled content (diving spots, gimme a break, some achievement point on an existing map is additional content, yeah…). Exploration is not new content the second time around.

Of cause GW2 is not far behind competitors, or at least it has been, additions in recent years have been rather small. Still, in other games, repeating things serves a purpose. Here, it becomes all about acquiring gold to convert to cosmetic shop items really, really early in your career. The only “recent” addition that gave people a reason to actually accomplish things in PvE was the Mawdrey thing (which I found rather enjoyable, but I guess with the “but I wanna have too, mommy”-audience that dominates GW2, such long term endeavours and signifcant rewards for personal investment are not working well).

Wow, thats pretty narrow minded is it not?

Let’s see… How long time it takes varies by player but let’s say it takes me ½-year to compleate all the content in GW2. How long does it take to compleate all the content of the other game I said. I would guess it would take me about 3-4 weeks and then because the game is made of an Expansion model I will not have a good portion of content until a year after that. But ofcourse not only that but that game have had some updates in between and some months have gived good updates where atleast you have had a week or two worth of content. But for every new expansion this game looses most the points of doing the content of the old expansion.

Again lets compare GW2 with the other game, in GW2 you say you repeat the content only to earn money to buy Cosmetics? Only mawdrey is something to aim for?
In this other game you have to repeat a single instance over and over again and hope that you will get one item so that you can iether sell it or have it yourself to craft an item that will be useless once a new expansion hits. What is the difference from what you just told me? I don’t see it.
In GW2 you can get a good item and/or get gold to buy an item of your choise and this item skin will be stored in your account for the rest of this games existence.
In the other game you can get an item that you can iether sell to get gold or you can craft the best gear from it. This gear will be worthless as soon as a new expansion hits and you will only be able to sell it for vendor prize as it is bound to you.

Every MMO has repeatable content, thats like the life and bread of an MMO and in my Opinion, GW2 has the best kind of repeatable content becouse I don’t have to do the boring stuff to get it (Except for Fractal and Dungeon skins).

About diving spots as part of content of the game, just becouse it gives achievement points doesnt mean it is not content as some or atleast the latest added Diving spots are hard to find and hard to perform and is not just a simple thing to find to get an achiement. Some players just as with Jumping Puzzles find doing the latest diving spots being a competition.

But ofcourse we can take this of the list if you wish, it doesn’t make the list less fantastic.

For me that has been playing since headstart, I have been playing almost everyday since then with a few breaks now and then. I must agree that since the announcement of the Expansion I have played less and less, I need new content soon or I must take a break. But this game compaired to other games in my opinion is far better with content and stuff to do over again for a reason and becouse it is fun.

There’s lots of stuff to do…but there’s nothing you have to do.

That’s quite true and many people interpret that as a lack of content. When in fact Anet basically lets you pick your own goals and reach them at your own pace.

yes, you can repeat content infinitely and to no avail as there is no progression at all.

This has been said many times I guess… But I will try to post another list of stuff to do that isn’t about Achiements but stuff that is so called content.

- Personal Story.
- Living Story.
- Dungeons (26 paths total).
- Fractals (50 difficulty levels and15 Differenet Areas).
- Dynamic Events.
- Meta Events and World Bosses.
- Jumping Puzzles.
- Mini Dungeons.
- Guild Missions.
- Diving Spots.
- Festival Events.
- Crafting (Yes this is content).
- Exploring (yes this is content).
- WvW and Edge of the Mists.
- sPvP.

That is in my opinion a good list of things to do in a 3yo game compaired to the former MMO I played where this was/is the content after max level after 7-8 years.

Remember when enemies dropped loot?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

EdgarMTanaka.7291

“They still drop loot. Why just yesterday I killed a Moa and got mangled talon, which I sold for 2 copper and put that towards my next big purchase.”
“I got a slab of poultry meat and 94 copper from the last moa i killed.”
“I usually only get eggs. Maybe I should hatch them!”
“I think mobs should drop precursors more often, like maybe once every 5 mobs.”
“As long as they stay salvageable, I dont see a problem with that.”
Sorry if I’ve seen any trolling in these comments. Maybe the writers were completely serious about what they wrote (joking here). However, I’m sorry if I offended anyone, lets say most ppl were just in a sarcastic mood or sth

Sorry about the first part, as it actually is I who should say sorry.

I’m not against loot bags in general, but I know a lot of people who told me ingame that “no matter how high your MF is, if RNGesus hates you, you rarely find anything good in that bags”. With direct Mob loot, players who have a high MF, eat bufffood, use guild bonuses and banners get good chances to find more rare equipment or at least 1-2 exotics a day. If I’m lucky (running SW 12-16 hours on weekends), I get maybe 1 exotic and from 40+ loot bags each run, 1-2 rares. MF doesn’t apply here.

About MF, I have never bothered about MF anyway as it does so little. I may not have got better loot from SW but I have got more money from my once a day doing SW events from start to last boss, than from doing other stuff in the game (Do not count real farming/grinding as I do not do that in that manner).

Sounds logical. The only thing that bothers me is the fact, that the PS awards are all almost the same for your lower characters (dyes, skins, stats,…). I’ve bought a second account not long ago and I’m not happy with the stuff my new 6 lvl 20-60 characters get; at least compared to my first 8 characters the individual equipment levels feel more unbalanced nowadays. I didn’t need the Auction for my first characters until lvl 80.

Yea it is rather crap you get from doing the PS but before NPE the PS rewards was realy crappy rewards. Now you atleast get some loot bags too. Am I wrong? I havent played PS that much after NPE. About leveling I have the oposite experience. I have though played one character with the NPE from 1-80 and I used TP once at level 50 becouse I fealt I wanted to be alittle better and at level 80 ofc, but from the loot from just playing both from exploring and PS I got enough gear to be able to handle the content that was ahead of me. Compaired to the other 9 characters i leveled to level 80 before NPE where I bought gear each 10/15 levels to be able to handle the content that was before me. Could be that I wasn’t as good then as I am now but I do not beleave so.

I’ve started grinding when the DryTop/SW maps were introduced (event grind is still grind) because it’s currently one of the best ways to make money, selling mats mostly since I rarely see good equipment. It’s a rather acceptable level of grind here, but if you want to get specific T6 mats you still have to grind mobs since they drop them more often. Having a lively Southsun zerg farming mats can be fun at times too. It’s just a matter of taste what kind of grinding a player likes and doesn’t. But I think this goes too oot here.

Well for my personal opinion I can go to Dry Top or Silverwastes for an hour or so and do different events and find enjoyment in that. I do it mostly for fun, if I don’t enjoy it I don’t do it. But rewards is needed too, if I wouldn’t get anything from it I might not have done it iether. Anyway as I do events for about an hour I don’t do the events over and over the same day and I do not get bored and I don’t see it as a shore. But let’s say that crest where to be dropped from enemies, then most players would go to an event where most enemies spawns and do that over and over again and also try to make the event never to end or so it activates again as fast as possible (We have been there before in Orr and Shiverpeaks havent we?). Then there I come and I wanna do all the events on the map and I get totally hated becouse I troll the farmers and I am a “bad word” and I should farm with the blobb of players if I should be there and so on. No, I don’t want to farm. I want to play a game to enjoy it.

I hope I stayed on topic.

And I’m not calling you a fanboy or something :p it’s good we have different opinions and experiences so we can talk them over, or else this discussion would only result in a schit storm.

Thanks and I agree.

To your whole post I say: Nice response I don’t think I can top that :P

That’s my line of thinking precisely.

A lot of people seem to be needlessly throwing around the “lack of content” phrase without truly understanding what it means.

To be fair, if you’ve been playing since launch, at this point, there’s not much left to do…which is normal for lots of games at various points in their development, particularly shortly before an expansion launches.

But when you first hit 80…plenty left to do…just not end game content as defined by other games.

Hehe, yea you have a good amount of play time, I would be supriced if you still had content to do now :P

I myself have also been playing since headstart and atm I have done most content I enjoy and now I am repeating the same content with new characters… But honestly PvP has been what I play 90% of my online time now the latest month.

With no new updates I have been playing less and less but for new players there are realy alot of stuff to do. As many has said allready :P

How I think dungeon skipping can be fixed

in Fractals, Dungeons & Raids

Posted by: EdgarMTanaka.7291

EdgarMTanaka.7291

Some mobs are made to skip. Like in CM there is a room in the caves that are filled with enemies. It may not be impossible to kill them but one pull of them and you have alot of work to do. These guys are supposed to be skipped I am pretty sure.

But for example in AC in the end of Path 1 and 3 where we always run through all these gravelings, these are not realy supposed to be skipped I am sure.

You play how you want, but I don’t like skipping content even if I do that myself but that is becouse most others want to skip becouse they can. I agree with OP that skipping is something that has to be “fixed” but the suggestion is not that good. I would more be in favor of what someone else said about GW1 where you had to kill a mob to get a key. I mean it would have been nice to have doors or other obstacles stopping you from skipping until you have defeated a specific Elit mob who will drop a key item just like in TA story where you have to have 3 key items to get to the boss room.

Remember when enemies dropped loot?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: EdgarMTanaka.7291

EdgarMTanaka.7291

Either we have lots of trolls here, or most of the ppl simply don’t get it.
Three easy examples:
1. Silverwaste Events -> No drops at all, maybe grey stuff
2. Personal Story enemies -> No drops
3. Unidentified Dyes -> Not dropping anymore, not from enemies nor from plants

Just to annoy some of the new players here: When I started GW2, I got my Abyss dye from a level 17 zentaur in Kessex Hills. Yes, there were times when you got good things from regular enemies.

You are abusing the word Troll. Becouse some players state the obvious it doesn’t mean they are Trolling the thread. If we would call everyone we disagree with a Troll then we would all be Trolling on these forums.

0. Never did OP state that this was only about SW, LS, PS an Unidentified dyes. So yes, I remember I got loot worth more than 15g yesterday. Even more if I wanted to sell some other loot.

1. In SW there are no drops but all events rewards you with Crests wich you can buy loot bags with if you want to. You also get loot bags from event and alot of other stuff. It’s a way to make events more interesting than just for Karma and for fun.

2. This was nerfed long ago becouse playersabused it to farm some instances. Better rewards have been given to compleate a PS and LS.

3. Well they do not drop anymore but you can actually farm them… You get Unidentified Dyes from Bag of loot ( http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Bag_of_Loot_ ) I have about 25 Unidentified dyes in my bank and over 100 bags of loot (Yes I am a hoarder in this game).

4. What does it matter where you get your loot from? As long as we get loot from somewhere. Atleast I am not forced to farm in this game but I am happy to see that this stupid grinding the same mobs over and over again is comming to an end.

I am not trolling, I disagree with OP as OP states that there are no more drops in the game. Also I give my Opinion to remove loot drops if they do that to the rest of the content of the game. Agree or Disagree, call me white knight or fanboy but do not call me a troll.

Please put courtyard in a seperate queue

in PvP

Posted by: EdgarMTanaka.7291

EdgarMTanaka.7291

It is in another queue. Go to ranked and you never have to do courtyard

The thing is that players that want to do Courtyard suffers from it being random in Unranked too.

A few days ago I solo qued and one player in my team left before courtyard even started, we where four against five so we charged the other team and died over and over to get the match over with as quick as possible.

Before that we whent up against a premade team who all chose courtyard, we got totaly slaughtered so we ended it all with just running out dying to get it over as Quick as possible.

And even before that I ended up in a team where we nuked the enemy players. One of them left and 3 of them afk and tha fourth jumped down and gave us scoore.

It is not fun to be slaughtered as pigs in a bad slaughterhouse and it is fun to win by forfeit iether. If you want to play courtyard you want to have a cool fight that everyone is prepare for.

It is like putting a cat in a dog pen. I just so much hope this gets “fixed” before Stronghold goes live.

Jumping puzzles: yuck

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: EdgarMTanaka.7291

EdgarMTanaka.7291

I personally LOVE jumping puzzles. I do them with my friends all the time, and they’re one of my favorite aspects of PvE. That being said, I agree with Amphian. They should all be completely optional, and none should be tied to map completion. Some people’s computer hardware or internet connection make jumping puzzles incredibly difficult to complete without spending hours jumping, lagging, and ultimately falling. They should be recreational, and I think Anet has done a pretty good job with this, excluding the few vistas that require a jumping puzzle to be completed.

All things considered, I really hope they add many more in HoT! Just keep them as optional content tied to achievement points. (Gotta get some satisfaction out of them. The chests at the end suck.)

No Jumping Puzzle is tied with Map Compleation… I think.
You have to get to the Jumping Puzzle but you don’t have to succeed doing it to get the part of the map.

Oh… Yea… There is two Vistas in the game tied to a JP :-/ But they are quite easy and not in any way near problematic walls where the camera will go bonkers.

No. to all of this. It is a nice sentiment you have here but the game mechanics and math strongly disagree.

Rezzing the dead is a waste of DPS when with timed fights and scaling you need it. you dont break even with the DPS loss unless the person who was rezzed from fully dead survives and maintains constant DPS for the next 30-40 seconds because the people who rezzed spent time doing nothing.

Umm… I dunno if you read all my ideas becouse the point on one Idea was that players who helped ressing got a boost, this boost will give for example quickness, might and other stuff to boost your DPS. Also what many havent accounted for is that we are actually talking about encounters like Worldbosses where alot of players are gathered at the same time. Now we do not count how long time it takes for one player to rezz another but we are talking how much time and DPS we loose from when max numbers of players are rezzing one player and thus giving all the rezzers a boost of might and quickness for about the time it took for them to rezz this player or even longer.
This in my mind would even out the DPS loss from rezzing or even increase the DPS and thus increase the reason to rezz dead players.

1. You will have to type the whole address to see it wich is pretty stupid. If Anet whould have in-game mailed it it should have been a clickable link.

2. The in-game mail from Anet always have a Anet sigil that only Anet employes can make. These scam mails do not have them.

3. If I would have been so dumb to get fooled so far to actually getting to this page that you have posted I would have been very worried when they ask for the serialcode, Email and Character name. That is something they should ask you when you request something in their support page. People who get banned never gets a warning, you can appeal to it after you got banned and not before.

4. Posting the link like OP have feels even more dangerous that this ingame mail.

I can’t understand how people get’s fooled this way.

Please do something about matchmaking.

in PvP

Posted by: EdgarMTanaka.7291

EdgarMTanaka.7291

I dunno how matchmaking is supposed to work but it is wierd what happened me and my team a few days ago.

Me and 3 friends qued for a match. Me on rank 57 the others where around 37, 31 and 11. Then ofcourse we had a random in our team and he didn’t say anything and he played realy bad so I expect that he didn’t have that high rating.

Then the match started and we got totaly obliderated and later I got stomped by one of their players and I noticed he/she used the dragon finisher. I got so suprised that we got teamed against a full premade with a rank 80 player so I asked them what ranks they where becouse the fight was totaly uneven. They said that there was one beginner in their team below rank 10 but the rest was Veterans. So atleast one at rank 80 one below 10 and the 3 other must have been over rank 30 (I wouldnt even call r30 a veteran but I dunno what people call veteran).

I mean, how is it possible to even be teamed against r80 players. In my opinion r57 and r80 has a very big gap in skill level. Now not only where we teamed against a r80 but it was a fully premade group who would have had a better chance of a good match in a Ranked match. None of our sides enjoyed that match.

Move Stronghold threads to PVE forum?

in PvP

Posted by: EdgarMTanaka.7291

EdgarMTanaka.7291

Obviously you didn’t try defending your base….

There is 0 need of killing players as a defender, unless they broke your two doors. And at this point it’s just a DPS race.

Well I did alot of PvP while defending. Making sure attackers don’t kill your guards results in success. As long as guards are alive Doorbreakers dies like flies. When there are more players attacking and you cant handle them yourswlf you call for backup. if there is no player attacking you use the treb and when new players attack you kill them. When you have no guards you have to make sure doorbreakers do not reach the gates and the other team should make sure that the doorbreakers do not get killed on the way there. When these to sides comes together there are Player Vs. Player and that is what PvP stands for.

Now let’s say that we where only fighting NPC’s, then it would have been player Vs. Player as there are players on both sides and they are both compeeting to win the challange. Player Vs. Players. This Topic is rediculous and it is one of many Stronghold threads that fills this forums that could just be merged.

Edit: Edited out somthing that was untrue actually.

Stronghold PvP Feedback

in PvP

Posted by: EdgarMTanaka.7291

EdgarMTanaka.7291

Now I have time to write my full Feedback.

The goods:
- Map is big enough.
- 2 is max carred supplies.
- Death = Drop Supplies.
- Guards one shot Doorbreakers.
- Placement for objects to hide behind, ranged can’t hit everywhere but they still have good chances for nice strategical placements.
- Channeling timer for Supplies are A ok.
- Un-interuptable by damage while picking supplies.
- Map and Terrain is realy nice and I realy like to play the game mode.

The Bads:
- Un-interuptable by damage and the ability to have and activate protective skills while channeling Mist essence for Hero.
- Guards die to easy.

My ideas:
Summoning heroes: Instead of channeling the mistessence why not have a capture point that starts neutral (White) and you have to change it to your team coulor by just standing in it. If there is a player from oposite colour standing in it, it does not move. Just like capture points work in the other game modes. It may take longer time to fight for it so it gives you another strategical decision.

Summoning Heroes 2: While channeling mistessence your protective skills are uneffective and you can not use skills while channeling. You are still not interupted by attacks though.

Guards: They are Invulnable to player and trebuchet attacks, the only ones who can kill them are Heroes and Archers. This is to keep players from Zerging the enemies Guards from the start and only spam Doorbreakers. Sure now they can spam archers instead but they are easier to interupt than doorbreakers that stops for no one. And still you will need doorbreakers to get through. Also make Guards always attack incoming Doorbreakers before anything else.

Archers: reduce their damage on gates.

Timer: As it will be harder to just storm the enemy timer should be increased by atleast 5min.

Edit:
Found this in another thread.

Stronghold is already better than Conquest. It just needs a few tweak here and there:

  • taking damage stop channeling
  • after 15 minutes, both Lords lose impatience and go to mid to attack each other, with all their guards.
  • no more timer.

Suggestion number two is neat and I would like that.

Stronghold PvP Feedback

in PvP

Posted by: EdgarMTanaka.7291

EdgarMTanaka.7291

I played ~6 matches this afternoon, and after getting used to the map I have the following feedback:

1. NPC’s are sad. Buff their HP by 10,000%, reduce damage done by players by 90% and increase damage done by archers by 1000%. We are supposed to be running and defending the lanes, currently you can just melt the “guards” and have no need for archers. Increase damage done to players by 1000% but make them focus on any archers in range first.

2. attacking someone while they are channeling doesn’t stop the channel. Guards, warriors and rangers can pop invuln, get the supply, walk back to the point and summon a door breaker without you being able to do a single thing about it. This makes classes with invuln overly important. Invuln should not prevent channeling from being interrupted.

3. No reason to PvP. After you know the map you just ignore the enemies all together and rush lord.

1. I agree that NPCs are bad… What I would like is that the NPC-guards should be invuln to player attacks. The only thing to harm them is archers. Doorbreakers should have about 20% less health.

2. I play a guardian mostly in PvP and I agree with this. Summoning a Hero should not interupt you when hit but if it’s not impossible to do it would be nice that invincible, Blocks, Invicible, evade and Stability would not work during channeling for a hero. But as for Supplies I like it how it is now.

3. I think this statement is so wrong. Won 8 out of 9 matches yesterday where I planned out my strategy to leave me to defend. A good use of the treb is doing alot of defending and you can even halt enemy team from getting supplies with it. I think that there are alot of strategies you can go for in this mode.

I have played this game mode alot during the first beta and I am going to try it out even more. I am not going to go all out and say everything I want fixed yet as we have to try it out more. At the moment alot of people hasnt played it enough to be able to figure out a good streategy so I will give it time and give my full feedback when Stronghold beta 2 has ended.

Edit:

The more I play, and watch close matches, the more I realize that longer respawn timers are necessary to allow teams to comeback.

When a team is down but wins a teamfight in lord’s room, it doesn’t feel like they are rewarded enough with greater map control or the ability to apply serious offensive pressure.

I need to make a list of good quotes. This one I can feel too.

Stronghold can't be amazing with the timer

in PvP

Posted by: EdgarMTanaka.7291

EdgarMTanaka.7291

First Stronghold beta I would have agreed but now…

We met a realy good team and we where realy even the whole match, but when we had 5min left enemy team had the upper hand and had us cornered in the Lords room. For 5min we defended the lord and had no chance to strike back but thanks to their never ending charging we won becouse they just gave os points after points by comming to lord and die. If one of us left to kill their lord we would have lost. Sure we would have won if timer would have been longer and if they kept on zerging our lord but the point is that if fights are even you don’t only have to concider to charge the lord but to know when to stop giving your enemies points. The “short” timer gives us more reason to not spam doorbreakers or archers when time is not right.

The game is not only about killing the lord, it is about having the least casualties while trying too.

So in my opinion, timer is fine… There is always enough time to break the doors and fight the lord. If you loose from scoore then your tactics where flawed. If the timer was longer then there would have to be more gates.

Edgar! You can play 11111 anywhere, but try it against a well organized guild group.

Well it shouldn’t have to be that. And that wasn’t the only point I was making.

Edit: Also whenever did I state that you just play 1111? I don’t think I said anything like that. All statements I made was about making Zerg contents more interesting by angaging players more than just zerg by zerging. I don’t want 11111 playstyle anywhere and that is why I want content to be more varied than just standing on safe spots at worldbosses or having the biggest numbers in WvW. Also some servers are way to overwhelmed in WvW so even a well orgenized guild can’t do much about it, it’s not only about winning against a zerg it’s also about keeping the keeps and towers and be able to defend them and not only play the Marrygoround.

I must be honest and say that I didn’t read the whole post… I read first section and some of the other sections. Umm Anyway I want to say that it was a well written post. You must have put down alot of time not only to write it but to figure out all the goods and bads.

I mean I also realy love this game and I very often defend it when people are bashing it with stuff I don’t agree with. I do agree with you on most points I read but I will comment on a few.

WvW – Only a few weeks ago I realized that WvW requires no skill and no brains, just to be the biggest server with the biggest blobb. I am pretty bored with WvW and I would want something to “force” players to roam in smaller groups more. Big Zergs are cool and all but I would like a way that makes battles more about player skills and not just numbers… I realy hope the new WvW map will make me enjoy it more.

World Bosses Dislike – I so agree with this one and I just point it out as this is actually something I would love for Anet to do something about. I don’t get it for example why the little Pirate girl got to be a world boss but not the Fire Shaman? But that is just a small point. Every World Boss has to have their safe spots removed, and they should have alternative faces like Claw of Jormag and Fire Shaman. It wouldn’t have been bad if like Shadow Behemoth had some (Like two) Undestructable portals that spawned monsters wich a few groups of players had to take care of so that the group fighting Shadow Behemoth don’t get overwhelmed by them. Just an example.

Power step/Level scale Dislike – I disagree here as I feel way to strong when I am playing on low level maps. I am usually helping my new friends and new members in my guild when they explore the world and levels up but I am feeling to strong, sometimes I kill enemies with one hit. So I usually have to equip a non Power gear or a low level gear so I don’t take all the fun out from my fellow adventurers. The progress I feel isn’t comming from leveling it is comming from myself learning how to play my character and I feel how I myself is getting better at playing my character.

Age of the game – I don’t realy get what you mean here? As I look for players now and then I always find new players with 1-100 AP. Ofcourse not everyone is on just the exact spot as I am but there are alot of new players running around the map. I actually see new players everywhere when I run around exploring with my friends but there are ofcourse some maps that are less played I notice. I guess it all depends on how many players is many in our own eyes, but I think that if you try to look for someone to play with you will find them. Can’t expect a random player to just follow you around :P

If you mean WvW you will be scaled to level 80 but without skills and Traits so if you wanna do WvW but still wanna “feel” usefull I advice you to start at Edge of The Mists.

All and all about leveling. GW2 is one of few MMO’s where you level up realy quick. Don’t do Tasks(Hearts) if they are booring, do Events and Skillpoints (You will need them) vistas and PoI’s and more. Do Dungeons they give you 80% level up and Exp during the dungeon usually gives you the other 20% so you will level one level per dungeon.

Dungeon paths are 70% of a character level, not 80%. However, yes, they are a wonderful means of leveling a character if you can find people to give you a hand. My husband and I three-manned CM 1+3 many times with a guildie, 2 people swapping out to characters there were leveling during (or just before) the final cutscene.

OP, here is the wiki link to the experience page. You can look here to see how much you get for an assortment of things. It can be very helpful.

Where is promised challenging HOT content?

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Posted by: EdgarMTanaka.7291

EdgarMTanaka.7291

Hmm… When I started playing GW2 I thought it was OK in difficulty, it wasnt too hard and not to easy,it was Perfect.

Later on I started doing Dungeons with my friends and we had a hard time doing even AC story and we even gave up on CM Story once. The dungeons where realy hard and I cried on the forums that they should add an Easy Norma and hard mode for dungeons. Well now I almost do the dungeons in my sleep, I solo AC and I can do most dungeons with just 3 members just to make them even harder.

Then the Aetherblade path came and before that there was this temporary Aetherblade hideout dungeon in LA. Those two dungeons are realy realy hard and I still have problems with the Aetherblade path (As I have only played it through about 3 times). I still have problems with the Laser wall room with the Golems in fractals as I havent done that one that many times iether. But every time I do them I learn frommy mistakes and everytime the dungeons gets easier.

So in my opinion, the dungeons in GW2 is challangeing but we learn how to beat them by knowing what to do and some players even find glitches (I hate that) to make it easier and then they complain that it is easy.

PvE/Non dungeon content though is pretty easy, Silverwastes is good though imo, I know now how to survive in SW but it is not an easy place. Also Teq and evolved JW is challangeing and in the beginning we needed TS to defeat Teq now it is defeated on regular basis without TS, but still it needs more hard work that the other Worldbosses. Evolwed JW still needs TS (I think) But I think that when most of the players have learned how to do it TS is not needed there iether.

So after all my rant I just want to say that after I have played Dry Top and Silverwastes I beleave in Anet devs to do a wonderfull Expansion with a difficulty scale that fits most of us players.

It feels like aNet is selling us DLC, which is sadly far from expansion!
I expected bosses to be more challenging with new mechanics, not just CC bar, but actual AI (Artificial Intelligence) behaviour, they don’t hit hard enough to even force you to dodge, you can “in your face” all the dmg, but that’s not even the point. Static non-movement creatures are making me not even want to go in HoT PvE.

What i’m expecting from GW2 AI creatures:

  • zoning mechanics
  • area control mechanics
  • special combinations to defeat enemy
  • higher DPS from mobs to force people to dodge
  • more Dry Top Coloque Queen mechanics
  • non-static smart path finding and decision making
  • faster damage target changing and applying more pressure on player
  • NO MORE EASY CONTENT THAT I CAN ACCOMPLISH BY AFK-ING THE EVENT

Where is the content that they called challenging for “non-casual” players in HoT?
“Beautiful content is not enough for me, where are the AI-npc mechanics that were promised?, Artificial Intelligence of creatures is under expectation of 2015 era..”

With other words, I can hardly call this EXPANSION, when it looks more like DLC pack..

Wow! I know there are players who rush through new content but here is someone who has compleated the whole expac before it has been released! Awesome!

How Do i earn skill points

It’s funny how people complains about NPE dumbed down the game and yadayada. Now the game tells you at level 13 that you can now do Skill point challanges and still there are posts like this?

http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Level_rewards

At level 20 you get your first chunk of 8 skillpoints, and you can also get skillpoints from Scroll of knowledge wich are found in some special loot chests.
Since they made the NPE it has been harder to get enough SP to play around with skills as a Newbie… But “soon” they will change the whole skillpoint and trait system so don’t worry to much about that in the future. Just my advice, don’t go buy Traits later, go find them in the world instead.

To waypoint or not to WP

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: EdgarMTanaka.7291

EdgarMTanaka.7291

Well I dunno how it works… But I usually WP on bosses if I die.

But I was thinking, this game is alot about teamwork without having to be in groups. When it is better to WP out than to be rezzed and getting in to the fray again I think the mechanic is broken. We (In my opinion) are supposed to be helping eachother and rez players who are down SO I just now have been thinking about a few chamges to the rezzing to encurrage Rezzing the dead.

So first of all, these two ideas requires that the fights DO NOT scale down when a players maps out to a near WP, only if they log out or WP to another map.

1. You know there are food you can eat that gives a buff to the rezzer and the rezzed, what if there is a buff that you always get for rezzing a dead. A buff that improves the rezzers and the rezzed with a small %. This will make people rez more. Though this can be exploited but maby it is an idea to start with.

2. Rezzing dead players will give the rezzers “medic points” that you can use later on to trade in for loot (Like the reward track in PvP). Dunno if it will work but that would encurage players to rezz dead players. Also something that can get exploited but I just thought of these two so their aint much planning behind it.

Anyway, in my opinion people should rez dead players even if it costs alot of DPS becouse this game is about teamplay and it has such a good community. Comming from a guy who rarely rezzes dead players in boss fights.

First of all… Dulfy is nice to show us a few animations.

I havent bought the sword yet but after looking at dulfys Video I think I will buy it. I don’t think they skills where that chabby. Keep in mind that if Anet do the changes OP want’s some other player might not like it and want a refund. Sorry Faux.1937 but I think you should be prepared to ask for a refund then.

One shouldnt have to look outside of game for info on a Gem store item is what Im saying.

I know dulfy had it, I looked. But when you mix and match different Races with Different Classes you get combos that makes it even harder to see the animations.

It should be as visible for each race and each class as each other.

I agree with you, I was speaking about that with my guildmates earlier in TS when I looked at the sword in game. I was saying that a Preview in store would be nice. And yes the store peview should allow you to choose race and atleast a few animations so you can see that it works as we imagine it too and so stuff do not clip. Anyway… To clearify my intent here… um… I realized I made it sound like I was happy about the sword but I am not. I agree with your OP but I think the Animations are OK so I will buy it anyway.

But I am not compaining becouse what I did in SW, I did enjoy it and I do not regret going there trying to get a drop.

I can’t wait to hear OP’s great idea on how to deal with someone that decided to leave a match or had to leave the PC, thus seeming afk.

There are several discussions busy atm on what Anet can do to stop 4v5, for example if a player just leaves an ranked and unranked match then they should get penalized, like the dishonor stystem but something that actually exists, if they just leave by clicking the leave button then they should not be alowed to join a new one for an hour or more, if they just had to suddenly leave their pc and “thus seem afk” then they will be kicked out by the system but, only problem is what to do with people who intentionally just sit on the map and shout random comments at their team, only salution may be to kick them out if the whole team reports the person then penilized him like unable to play for 24 hours or they can implement an system similar to the AFK one but this would just check that if the person is not bunkering a point , have not attacked someone and have not moved a certain distance they should be warned and 10 seconds later kicked and then penilized.

Threads relating to PvP problems:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/pvp/AFK-in-matches-1
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/pvp/4v5-In-Ranked-Needs-Solutions
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/pvp/is-sPvP-really-that-dead
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/pvp/PvP-solo-at-the-lowest-point/first#post5093088

And these are just the new ones.

You know, some things are out of ANet’s hands.

But that’s none of my business.

Nothing is out of their hands, they are the molders of their own world thus they can change anything if they would like to do so, even maybe making it impossible for people to hack the system. Like if the program’s code has been changed in anyway then the game wont launch.

On topic, you maybe forgot the 3 huge sPvP revamps the game has had? Also Guild Wars as a franchise has always been PvE-centric with huge lore. PvP in this game, as in every other MMO is just to keep community entertained while they produce more content. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Yeah ofc they should focus more on PvE 3/7 (PvP 2/7 and WvW 2/7) but Id expect from them to atleast fix one of the game modes that they intend to advertise with refering to tournaments. Now ofc the AFKers wont effect the tournaments directly, but will indirectly by giving the community and the world a negative opinion on PvP thus making PvP less popular and then they can have less people attending the tournaments which would mean less advertisement for gw2/Anet/NCSoft.

Also I never had a bubble for you to pop.

I may have missunderstod the whole point here but… To me the point was that it isn’t as simple as you think it is.

You may have millions of links from posts with awesome ideas how to fix stuff but in reality somewhere at Anets office there are programmers, designers, gametesters, Artists of all sorts that are working on just this issue. But it isn’t just about to take the best idea and put it in the game, it is about to test it and see if it will work as intended or if there is workaraounds and what can be done to stop these workarounds and in the end when that idea doesn’t work they may have to test another idea and work on that. Everytime they try something new it is alot of work behind it and it takes time and it costs money and just now they are also making an Expansion becouse the playerbase asked for it so I bet alot of money, time and workers are working on this stuff instead becouse they earn more money on a new expansion than on fixing a problem with leavers that will always happen no matter what you do.

Ok so GW2 . But no guild fighting another guild? First game have no idea this game //? Money grab ? Help i’m dumb <

My guild just battled another guild yesterday.

Me and my Guildmates goes Unranked or Ranked and somethimes we are up against another guild. Even when the fight starts it says Alpha Sgc Vs. (The name of another Guild).

Also the name is Lore. It’s like saying Final Fantasy isn’t Final Fantasy becouse it is never the Final Fantasy. This has been discussed many times before.

The Budget Is Weird

For about 2 months before the announcement of HOT i bet the selling of GW2 wasn’t rising.
But then after, all those amazing features and story and class, they are giving like half of it for people who already bought the Original GW2 for free, and 99% of them will buy the expension anyway.
outsiders that didnt like gw2 wouldnt be intrested in the expension like we are and wont buy it.
and its the price of both gw2 and hot (good money, but wont attract too much outside attention). and FURTHER its an expension which will cost probebly 20$.

As i see it, they work hard and give us alot with a bearly cost or even free.
i don’t believe that the gem store is behind all it

He is saying that the majority of players already playing GW2 will give HoT a shot. That a majority of the content shown for the expansion is customed to already playing GW2 players.

New players will not be interested (though he fails to give a reason). My initial thought of him complaining about the expansion price doesn’t seem to be right since he later assumes the expansion to cost 20$ (which would be very reasonable).

Or he ment GW2 base price will be around 20$ with an overpriced expansion on top of that, making the game less desirable to new players.

That’s all I could make of this.

Thanks for bringing clarity

What I don’t get is that 10-20$ is about what an Indie game or an old game costs in my eyes … 35-40$ is what usually expac I have bought before have costed me… 50-60$ is what a new game usually costs.

I don’t realy get this talk about HoT being over priced(Edit: Or the core game for that matter) if the Stores are guessing correct. I wouldn’t mind it to be cheaper as I want to have a collectors edition if there will be one

Where GW2 falls short imo

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

EdgarMTanaka.7291

i’m still willing to bet if GW1 had GW2’s graphics & movement (including the ability to jump), noone would be playing GW2.

GW1 was just a deeper, more interesting game. WVW was pretty good (emphasis on “was” because WVW has been largely neglected and/or left to go stale due to bad/no changes) but IMO the majority of GW2 has been pretty kitten shallow & mediocre.

My top list of GW2 shortcomings in no particular order:

  • really pathetic mob AI, world PVE is unbearably dull
  • lacks the cerebral combat/skill depth of GW1
  • downed state ruins PVP
  • spammy/messy combat
  • conquest

That is ofc your opinion.

This is my opinion.
I would prob still play GW2 even if you they did what you said becouse GW1 has way to many skills and it is way to hard for the devs to balance them all with all combinations that is possible. I don’t wanna play a game where one Monk can solo a dungeon or a PvP team just becouse he/she has found a super build.
GW1 isn’t realy an MMO as all maps except cities and outposts are instanced, and I realy like how I can play and feel that the world is filled with other players.
GW1 has Henchmens and heroes and makes the game pretty boring as you don’t need other players anymore. GW1 is more or less an unbalance Solo game.
I realy like the Living World wich GW1 never had and there where no meaningfull updates in the game ever as updates mostly where only balance fixes. Every now and then you had to change your build becouse a balance fix made your build bad.

GW2 has it flaws but in my opinion GW1 could never be as good as GW2 is.
And so to follow with the OP and not to get of topic too much I will name the flaws where GW2 falls too short imo.

- No Build save/Load/Copy mechanic.
- Too few new maps for PvP.
- Too few new Dungeons.
- Condition damage is too bad in PvE (Hopefully Expac will change this).

Just hit 80, now what?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

EdgarMTanaka.7291

Personally if you have got to level 80 and are already bored, its prob best you do what most of us have done and throw away most of the stuff you have learned and got bored of from other MMO’s. GW2 is not about leveling or Grinding. Leveling to level 80 is a tutorial for your characters so I am going to give you some hints.

- Do NOT rush your levels if you enjoy PvE.
- Explore the world and get 100% compleate if you find that fun.
- Do not buy your traits, look up where to find them and go get them.
- Collect skillpoints on maps, atleast about ~65 as it will prepare you for the new HeroPoint system.
- Find 4 friends to do sPvP (Unranked or Ranked, Practice is worthless).
- Find a WvW guild and do WvW and not Edge of the Mists as it is nowdays only for farmers
- Do atleast all dungeon paths one and get Dungeon Master title and if you don’t rush the dungeons some paths are rather nice to do more than once.
- If leveling was fun, I suggest you level one or more alts. (I would probably wait for Specializations update before doing that though).
- Doing LS Season 2 is realy neat, ok rewards and a good story.
- While doing LS you can do some events in Dry Top and Silverwastes, they are pretty cool, atleast Silverwastes(SW) in my opinion. Don’t farm SW though, just all events and kill the last boss and then wait a day atleast. Farming will bore you if you are not in to that thing :P
- There are Worldbosses too that you can do now and then, check here http://dulfy.net/2014/04/23/event-timer/ to know when they are active.
- Ah, and do Fractals for a little more difficulty the higher you get the harder it gets.

Well that is most stuff I can think of atm, if you tried it all and done it all… Well then I guess it is time for a break. Why play a game if you don’t like it?

How to show new players that I'm a veteran?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: EdgarMTanaka.7291

EdgarMTanaka.7291

I myself am a veteran and I realy don’t like players who realy brag about it and claims that they are better than new players or others. If you are a veteran, show it by helping new players if they want help. That is in my opinion the best way to show that you are a Veteran.

Hmm…

No I don’t have that issue, I have had 3-4 leavers in 2 months and no AFKer (Accept some dull one have given up when enemy team is close to 500 and his/her team is lower than 200). Counting both in my team or enemy team.

Havent played PvP since Monday though.

Why do players hate Courtyard?

in PvP

Posted by: EdgarMTanaka.7291

EdgarMTanaka.7291

Last time I did courtyard both teams was hiding behind each sides curve almost through the whole match until one unpatient player in my team decided to go head on and died. That was our loss as they got score and we needed to take back score or loose so we started attacking… And they had the favor of behing defencive and totaly built for Courtyard (Guess what team chose it) and we lost big time. I realy hate that map.

Welp, I’m in. The mobs are a ton easier and really… after all this time, not a single new pet.

Some say it is too hard and some say it is too easy. As Vayne said, go to silverwastes for harder content. Do Aetherpath in Twillight Arbor, do Tequatil and/or Evolved Jungleworm (Tripple Trouble) or do Fractals up to level 49 (Rumor goes that 50 is easier).

About the pets… Eh isn’t 46 pets enough? That’s more pets than any other MMO’s I know of, just from the start.

You don’t know of WoW, then?

http://www.wowwiki.com/Stable_master

You can store 55 pets, in total (5 that you can call and another 50 at the stables).

….and there are, I think, 52 pet families and each family contains multiple choices of species and colours.

Not that I am really complaining about the number here – WoW is an older game, so it will tend to have more pets.

But, I do think they should keep adding them gradually, here, if possible.

23 tameable beast famelies atleast according to that Wiki you posted. Now I havent played WoW since before BC but it seems that each famely has their skills while in GW2 each Animal has their own skills. it’s not that hard making millions of Beasts while you only change the colour of them but it is harder to program a whole new skillset and sculpture for every single pet.
