I really wish they had made Ruins of Orr and Southsun Cove more player friendly.
i hate these two maps, why couldnt they create these maps more Solo player friendly ?
In Orr players are perma stressed by perma attacking mobs and in Southsun cove the Mobs hit so hard that a normal equiped player dies in 2-3 hits….
Orr needs a revamp, less mobs more exploration without permanent fleeing from mob crowds. Its no fun there..
not more to say … that was all….
I agree 100%
I spend more time in game than on the forums. My game time in GW2 hasn’t changed since the event.
I don’t share your sediment.. I didn’t find it fun at all.
So people broke your fix within minutes, on Blacktide for example, Noll just indefinitely lays on the ground spouting greets to a group of on-lookers.
It’s like you didn’t even read the post. It says pretty clearly that the Noll fix isn’t live yet and won’t be until tomorrow.
It is live, that is if you can call it a fix.
I think maybe you need to go back and reread their statement. They plainly said Noll isn’t fixed and won’t be pushing one in until Saturday. So it isn’t live.
The Spectral Agony/Infusion mechanic was one of the more annoying aspects of GW1. It was alright the first time because it was story related, but everytime you got a new armour set you had to do a particular mission again to get re-infused. Got old rather quickly.
I have to say I’m not sure it matters if Ascended armour has higher stats or not. Even if they were the same, you would still need it for the infusion slots (I can’t see ANet going through all the trouble to create a new tier without them ultimately becoming a necessary part of normal play). It would make more sense to make the infusion slots separate from existing equipment, but that’s just me.
You did know you didn’t have to do Iron Mines of Moladune to get your armor infused everytime, didn’t you? There is a seer in Mineral Springs that will also infuse your armor. She is located in a cave.
I don’t know why you people are so up in arms about over this new gear.. It really doesn’t matter.. The Mursaat’s were a being in gw1. Although they haven’t reared their ugly head in gw2 yet, but then again Elona and Cantha hasn’t been opened up.. Since they are a GW1 being and in the gw1 lore and history for gw2. They could easily find their way back into the game which means you would have to have your freakin armor INFUSED ANYWAY. Stop complaining. They had this Spectral Agony ability which will kill you. With infused armor you stood a chance fighting them. It is the same ability as Agony is. So get over it. The ability was in GW1 and in the lore and now it is part of GW2’s history and it’s coming back. Nothing new for me…Ungrateful cry babies..
Has anyone considered how best to stage a protest? We can’t picket their offices like with politics, since we’re a global group. They are pretty much ignoring player feedback on the forums (the PR-spin answers that try to dodge the issue do not count as honest consideration). So what to do?
I have a proposal: during the release of the new content, we all go back to playing GW1.
Just leaving the game is a statistic they can’t distinguish from the locusts moving on.
Playing GW1 makes it clear that their core player base isn’t happy with the new GW2 direction and wants the GW1 system back.Probably it would be too hard to organize enough people to do this, though.
You all are bunch of ingrates.. You scream for challenging content then you complain about it.. Nope I will no be going back to gw1. I like the new content. If you don’t then you go back to gw1. There is nothing wrong where this game is going. Who are you to say you have a say so where it goes in the first place. You aren’t entitled to do that. You know they could be just like any other gaming company and not give you any new content at all except when they make new expansion packs.. Stop your freakin complaining… cry babies…
If you take a look at Massively’s preview of the Lost Shores content here: http://massively.joystiq.com/2012/11/12/guild-wars-2s-lost-shores-content-primer/ specifically the segment on the new dungeon, you’ll see that ArenaNet is introducing something called ascended armour which is “slightly more powerful than exotics” and holds an “infusion slot” which will allow you to “increase your character’s power”.
Did anyone else read this and think “oh no”?
I can’t help but worry that the slippery slope has begun and we’ll start to see a gear treadmill after all. For all the talk of only having cosmetic progression, we see more powerful gear introduced in the very first major content update?
If ascended armour turns out to be simply the armour equivalent of legendary weapons, well, that’s OK. But ArenaNet, if you’re reading this, please, please, PLEASE don’t take this any further.
Correction the infusion slot doesn’t increase your characters power it mitigates the agony the creatures do to you. Without it you are as good as dead. This is similar to the Spectral Agony the Mursaat’s did which forces your character to infuse their armor with spectral essence so you could withstand fighting them.
Sounds like Ascended gear is armor-only for now. Legendary/exotic wapons will probably still be best-of-the-best.
Also I don’t see Ascended gear being SIGNIFICANTLY better than exotics, and if they are they won’t be absurdly difficult to get. Arenanet has never been about gear gating: any incredibly difficult to get equipment will offer a very small benefit over very easily-obtainable gear.
Ascended gear is a rank between exotic and legendearys.
guild wars 1 went for almost a decade without raising the level cap.
beat that. lol.
If I remember correctly GW1 never raised the lvl cap.
If I remember correctly they get to start playing in the game on Nov 15th at 9am pacific time. Which is 1 day before the event takes place.
I believe that adding mounts won’t draw people that are opposed to the idea away from the game, however, it will draw players with a drive to collect them to play the game more. What could ANet lose by adding mounts, even if they had to remove ~25-50% of the waypoints?
If mounts drew people away from the game then they weren’t fans of the game to begin with. Mounts in this game would be useless for the mere fact you always fighting and they will be really useless in Orr. You can’t go anywhere without a fight in that area; however if anet puts them in that’s fine too cause I don’t have to use them and I’m not leaving the game because of them. At the moment I don’t think you have to worry about mounts being added. If they do add them I’m not looking forward to the rude people standing on the darn Renown heart npc or merchants… rolls eyes.. At least they can’t stand on the darn mail box.
Why call it a bank at all if it doesn’t perform the one and key feature that defines a bank?
Protection. You can store your gold, and your personal items in your bank but what happens if your account is compromised? The hacker can just go in your bank and take everything.
Usually when you access your bank account you need a pin. It would be nice if Anet could implement a pin system like the one found in runescape (most players first mmorpg). It worked, people would get hacked, get their account back and everything they left in their bank was still there and safe.
So why can’t we have a pin system for our banks? If not don’t call it a bank, just call it “storage”.
I don’t want to have to type in a pin every time I access my bank so bite your tongue. Make a better log in pin then you want have this problem.
As game designers the universe is under your complete control, the sky can be purple and the trees can be made of gold. The only limitation is your imagination.
Then WHY is orr the most ugly area of the world? WHY is the only level 80 area in this world completely hideous?
I just don’t understand, ok so zhaitan is based around undead, and he rose Orr from the depths.. well why does it have to look like a wreck? A MAGICAL dragon MAGICALLY raised a MAGICAL city, and you assume it has to look like a toilet that hasn’t been flushed for 20 years.
Imagine Orr with beautiful temples of the gods, awe inspiring, that really do the gods justice and is exactly what you expect from from the old home of of Dwayna and pals. Imagine fighting your way up the stairs to Arah in an imense temple-like setting, with magic spewing from fantastic statues. Imagine doing plinx, where enemies spawn through magical rifts located in preserved ancient shrines and tombs.
I could go on rambling but the point is, the universe can be anything, and you make the only level 80 area look terrible because it fits the stereotype of undead better, I would prefer to spend my level 80 time in a beautiful ressurected Atlantis rather thank you very much.
I just hope you do not go down the same path for future level 80 explorables, I want to enjoy the environment, not “put up with it”.
:D
You have the most unrealistic veiw I have ever seen. Any area that is wrought by war and destruction is gonna look ugly so cry a river and biuld a bridge and get over it. Another thing try spending ages at the bottom of the sea and see how you will fair. There is nothing gonna spend ages at the bottom of the sea rise up and look marvelous as if the ocean didn’t touch it. It makes for an unrealistic, unbelievable story. And who are you to have the audacity to assume you are entitled to beauty. If an author of a book did just as you wanted I would be asking for my money back. Even a ship lying at the bottom of the sea will not come up looking pristine.. Sorry unbelievable and not happening.
Do you remember when the game is started and the areas had a lot of player? I want it back!

I say this in every thread with the idea, but I really wouldn’t want this unless you could opt out. I hate when dynamic events become just massive zergs. It makes it really dull.
Whatever! A lot of people makes it where a player can participate where before you just can’t do the events with 1 or just a small group. And when I say small I mean less than 10 players.
I’m a level 80 Guardian with 45k Karma atm, and I’m trying to get 63k for a weapon. Can anyone give me tips or direct me to a guide that can walk-me-through on how to grind karma? Totally new to this.
Thanks
Do events and don’t spend any. Do your daily stuff. Go kill the Shatterer, Teqoutl the Sunless and Claw of Jormag events… just be sure to have money to hope around the waypoints. Any events you see going on jump in and participate.
i’m glad that there is so much to do, there are already too much players on certain events.
i’m just happy that not all the players are always on the same events, just walk a little longer to the things you want to go, it doesnt take very long (and 90% contested is just not true)
90% contested not true? You have no idea what you are talking about do you? I look on the map all the time and find just about every freakin waypoint contested for hours at a time. And yet there still aren’t enough players in the area to do events. What server are you on cause that sure isn’t the way on mine. And who are you to tell another person what they say isnt’ true when they are experiencing it? I can’t stand people who insinuate others are lying when they are playing the same game. You have no idea what it’s like on their server so stop assuming what goes on yours is the same for other.. pfft!!!! Ridiculous people!!!!
i dont have a problem depending on the class you can wonder through most of the events with one or 2 players and do just about everything
Whatever! You are just deluding yourself. The events there contain mobs that outnumber 2 people that will smash you to the dirt.
There are group events that can be done solo
the big one like for eg. the shatterer ends way too fast and it’s not real chalange
the pre event takes more time than the killing itselfsome boost of the HP or even dmg a lil will be good imo
or change the mechanic of the event in some way
Bite your freakin tongue.
its fun when you can get the people on the map to coordinate.
My problem with it is the golem area. A lot of people will not cooperate with you on that because they want the event to fail so they can farm the sparks, not accomplish the intended goal.
Well that sucks… I can understand it failing once just to see what the other event would be, but not a continuous fail.
I have had my fill of this area. There are too many blasted mobs for anyone to even accomplish a thing. Everytime I go there, there isn’t enough players there to make it even fun. Forget about doing it on your own.. It isn’t happening. What happen Anet? Where is the you can still solo the content and accomplish things in the game. I am an independent player. I am not gonna waste hours upon hours looking for a blasted group when I can go get things done for myself. Mind you I don’t mind grouping up if someone whispers me and ask for my help, I’m just not gonna wait around for it or even ask for a group. I love events, but sometimes there aren’t enough players there to ease the pain of too many mobs which are too close together. I have already done the event at this area.. just want to get the vista and points of interest.
I would like Rockdog, griffon, skelk, skale and raptors for pets. And a pack of 20 piranahs, orca and a dolphin for my aquatic pets.
(edited by Eladriel.7295)
Thing is though, after the huge PvE update for the ranger in GW1 it was pretty clear (or at least, very strongly encouraged) for you to bring your pet with you. I played GW1 since the summer it was released and I can count the number of people who had points in beastmastery on one hand, including myself and my brother.
What happened was everyone shoved the pet away without a second though and decided to be a dedicated archer.I’ll save the arguments about build validity in GW1 for another day; the point is, GW2’s ranger is specifically designed to work with the pet. If you can dump the pet then many people will, and suddenly all you have is a wanna-be-warrior that can’t match them, because (surprise surprise) the warrior is supposed to be the best in a simple 1v1 punchup.
The whole ‘I don’t want to use my pet’ thing always strieks me as really dumb. Even before the beta, Anet were making a big deal about the pets being an important part of the ranger’s class, and many of the weapon skills ‘prep’ the target for their pet (eg, longsword’s autoattack chain gives the pet Might). Why the massive hangup for this? It’s like a mesmer deciding they’d rather not use phantasms of illusions or clones? Or engineers deciding they’d rather not bother with toolkits and their toolbelt. People were told going in the pet was going to be Very Important, and then start wanting to ignore it?Rant aside, the pets themselves are (ignoring the ‘quirks’) pretty kitten powerful. They also give you playstyles, in the sense depending on what pet you take, you yourself end up playing quite differently. The Jungle/canyon Spider lets you snare and dot a target. The dogs give good crowd control. Grabbing a sword or greatsword and wading in with a drake lets you belt out alarming amounts of damage in melee.
What? Really a wanna be warrior? You obviously don’t know what a ranger really is. Rangers in a since are really no different than warriors. What skills separate them from warriors were trapping and tracking and the ability to tame animals to fight along side them. And they spent most of their time in the wilds. And their primary weapon was not just a bow..They mainly used a bow for hunting and fighting when needed. They could use a wide range of weapons including the sword just as well as a darn warrior. How many times did you see Aragorn in Lord of the Rings use a bow? Most mmos just take a ranger and make them to what they want.. GW2 is about the only game that comes close to making the ranger what they really are, but there still a lot of work to go. If they made the ranger as they should be then they can go toe to toe with a warrior. Rangers would just be a leather wearing counterpart to a warrior. They just wouldn’t be able to take as much damage, but they still could kick your warrior butt in melee. And they got the name Rangers from roving… Cause they roved around a x distance patrolling large areas. Some of these mmos had really done the ranger a lot of injustice and making them seem like a weak class when in fact they can be just as deadly as any class. And stop mistaking them to being just bow users cause they are not.
Don’t start screaming nerf unless you are ready for your class to be nerfed…pfft
Because it helps fight elitism. Imagine the following scenariio:
Player 1: LF1M Arah Path 3.
Player 2: I’ll join.
Player 1: <invites player>
Player 1: <inspects player>
Player 1: Your gear / spec sucks. Sorry.
Player 1: <kicks player>This is a common problem in WoW. The geared get better geared. It will revolve around gear and spec rather than GW2’s shining point of skill based play.
If they allow that then they should allow dps meters too. And start to be more like WoW,which is a sstrategy that has never worked for any mmo competing with wow.
I couldn’t agree with you more. Inspection or dps meter has no place in GW2.
Everybody should be able to inspect everybody, I’ve never understood the desire for “privacy” when it comes to equipment. If someone is inspecting me it probably means I look cool and/or am a good player that others want to emulate
I don’t want a elitist jerk looking at my equipment and trying to tell my it sucks and how I suppose to have it all wrong. Dude whatever talk to the hand. I’m gonna wear what I want. What I am wearing is NOBODY’S and I said NOBODY’S business. If you want to know where I got my armor and what colors I use then be a human being and respectful enough to ask. I will tell you where I got it, if you are nice about it. If you are nasty I’ll tell you take a flying leap off a cliff. How I set up the rest of my character is none of your flippin business.
gw2wiki stats that ecto is not a rare crafting mat, so theoretically speaking ecto rate does not depend on kit quality. I salvaged 5 rares with the white basic salvage kit (10% of recovering rare mat) and i got 4 ectos.
Ectos are a exotic item which means they are more rare than the rare items. You just got lucky with the four you got. I use a mystic salvage kit and salvaged 3 rare items and got no ectos. And it has a 25% of getting rare items.
if you’ve got the mats, buying all the exotic 400 recipes and crafting them can net you a profit.
in terms of flipping karma bought items? i don’t think that’s possible since they are usually SB or AB
No, you will not be able to sell to a merchant or Trading post anything bought from a karma vendor. They have even stopped the salvaging of the blasted items. So if you don’t plan on having that piece of karma bought armor very long don’t put your fave rune on it, you won’t be able to get it off.
Money will always be a problem because there is too many gold sinks.
I use to have a bank full or runes I have gotten off of armor. You do know there are different grades of salvage kits, don’t you? The gemshop has a salvage kit that will salvage the runes off the armor 100%. And the one you buy with gold, the highest upgraded one will also give you the runes back, but it isn’t 100%.
for the trolls the obvious answer is “they werent designed that way” “youre not meant to over power everything” “you cant do a GROUP event solo” . okay so wheres my group dynamic events are meant to attract players is it really my fault no one else is around? should i be forced to form a raiding party before going anywhere just to do dynamic events? if theyre going to do that then why not just bring back the trinity so it feels more co ordinated. which would be more fun than just trying to get 5 people.
now dont get me wrong i like dynamic events but think the execution and possibly even the theory is flawed. but i have a solution. just make events possible solo. ive fought bosses that take less than a second to knock me down and kill me. regenerate health faster than i can kill them. ect ect. i cant do it alone but its in the definition of being dynamic(in that they just happen and so should groups) that i shouldnt have to find a group. you dont have to make them so quickly complete that a solo player breezes through them before anyone else can join. but please lower hp attack condition damage amount of items needed(i think they do this already anyway). keep them active and let other players see that meter for the bosses health or the items collected (which should slowly rise not immeadiatly spike just so people know someone is actively doing the event) like a beacon for other players. if this doesnt work its still a step in a direction guild wars needs to go. i cant play a lot of your content because not many seem to be up for “lfg to run some dynamic events in such and such map”. if they dont want to join fine ill do it myself. make it difficult or tedious in terms of hp. but im sure others will join if they see activity that isnt hopeless. then crank up the difficulty only enough so that i dont dread seeing another player.
Sorry they are not flawed.. If it says group event that is what it means.. A large amount of people. And who are you to say it is trolling when those that reply that they aren’t designed that way or you can’t do a group event solo. The fact is you just don’t want to hear it. Well, you gonna hear it or see it anyway… Group events aren’t designed that way so you can’t do them solo. So if you call my post trolling you obviously don’t know what a troll is. If there aren’t anyone around, they are easily bypassed. Or you can announce in map chat that there is a group event going on. Nobody may know about it if you announce it they may come to participate.
I completely agree with up scaling drops/chests in lower lvl areas hands down as an 80 running around Queensdale with a friends new alt or something I want to be rewarded with items I could really use or scrap from mats.
The waypoint issue I wouldn’t go as far as free, but scale it to have a set cost based on distance from said waypoint and the lvl range of that area or even make it like the cities as long as you’re in the area its free, but to port there thats when you’ll pay.
Epic skins for Engineer kits and/or turrets: it doesn’t matter how sick my pistols look when I’m all most always running around with my grenades and flamethrower I’d just like a way to look a tad awesome when using said skills.
Also since launch its been irking me… where oh where are the 2h axes?
I would and it already cost set on distance. I am tired of spending 3s going from Malchor’s leap to Lion’s Arch. Map travel in GW1 was free, it should be in gw2. I too am tired of the ridiculous amount of gold sinks. If they got rid of the fee on the waypoints the rest would be tolerable.
Can’t really remember a statement regarding this, that Guild Wars 2 focuses more on cooperation than “infamy”, something like that. Sure, PK’ing can be considered something infamous, but hey… let me try this one out.
—
For anyone who has tried at least two MMORPG’s prior to Guild Wars 2 knows what I’m talking about: servers where players can kill other players, regarding If they are In a group or not. Regardless their gear, HP, or any status-enhancement item. “Why?”, you may ask, dear reader. In short and direct to the point: “Dying by a huge ganking group and forming other gank group to surprass said gank group Is FUN.” Self-explanatory.
—
Aaaand for the “Neutral WvW” server: “Deserters”, or should I say, “Players who decided to not follow any server and are on their own; where they can kill everyone… even other deserters.” Same reason stated above.
Comment away.
For you it’s fun, but not to said ganked party. You can already do this in wvw. As for the PVE world, I really doubt this will get implemented. As far as my stand on it, I don’t want it.
I found naming my pets to be a pain in the backside so I don’t bother naming them anymore. When you name a pet and you change they either have the same name or it reverts back to juvenile what ever pet you are using. Please fix it where we can name each and every pet and it keep the name we give each one. For example If I have my jaguar named Nicodemus and a bear name Ben, when I switch pets from Nicodemus to my bear I want to see Ben as his name… not Nicodemus or juvenile brown bear or polar bear…And if you go in and completely change them out to other pets they completely revert back to the juvenile brown bear…etc.. I want to name them and they retain the name til I change it.
Lol, I soloed champs on my guardian too. Rangers are good in pve outside dungeons sure, but in dungeons pets become buff bots or useless. In pvp….well rangers dont really get picked for pvp for a reason.
I would call that discriminating against a profession.
Ranger pets are not OP and you are deluding yourself if you say they are.
Just get rid of the waypoint fees. Simple as that.
Oh good grief, you can still type in the blasted numbers you want. I clicked on it one day and there was a courser in the box.
I have my crafting spread out among my characters… Once they max the ones they are on then I will switch them to the others then max them…etc. I will do this til every crafting trade is maxed for all characters. If you do it with one character you will find yourself spending a lot of money switching.
a Embellished Brilliant Coral Jewel. I have what I think are all the mats
1 Glob of Ectoplasm
5 Coral Tentacle
1 Mithril FiligreeBut I can’t even see the ecto on the crafting station and I can’t see the filigree at the mystic forge. Can someone help?
Ok, it is a jewelcrafter item and it requires unlock. Requires 375 jewelcrafting lvl. You have the right items and amounts. If you are are past that lvl check your list for this item. Once you unlock a item you will not see any of the items that make this particular item in the item pane unless they are part of other recipes. So if you are not seeing a item that is needed you may have already unlocked it. Go through your list it is probably there already.
If you already know it you can’t discover it. You should be able to discover things to unlock them. It is possible that his particular item is a bought recipe and not a discovered one. It does not work buying a recipe then discover it… You either buy the recipe and learn it or discover it not both.
I would love to have the costume maker back myself. As it is now I have no bank space for any costumes. Don’t really want to use bank space for them. They need to work like in GW. I have a set in inventory then speak with the costume maker and then he can make it for me anytime I want it free of charge. It is a better idea than the costume bank, but if he can’t be implemented then costume bank would be better than nothing.
Can we please get a separate bank that will hold our customs and town clothes in. It would greatly be appreciated.. by me anyway.
As long as there is divorce and I get alimony and get half his stuff.. evil grin
Dervish, Monk (placeholder name) and Ritualist are good ideas.
Not going to comment on Druid.Dervish MUST be included in the game.
Its gameplay is awesome (flash enchantments & teardown), and I’m not even talking about the Avatar skills.
Would require implementing Scythes, though.Ritualist would also be a good idea, as its concept is quite unique, playing somewhat like a light armor engineer/necromancer/elementalist cross-over.
Monk would be tricky to implement but very interesting if done well.
Would require implementing fist weapons though. For dervish, the only thing required would really be giving a scythe to a guardian.
ritualists are already in the game, their called engineers. Anet have said that specifically several hundred times. So ritualists aren’t going to make it, especially with the way both necromancer minions and mesmer illusions work.
monks are the ONLY ones that are viable out of that list, but of course they can’t be called monks because of guild wars 1.
druids, again no need, just give magical weapons to the ranger.
the only viable additional class would be the chronomancer that was supposed to be introduced with GW: Utopia. It was unique enough to be thoght up of as different from the reality warping mesmer. The games ONE time related skill, time warp, is not enough to render the chronomancer obsolete, that’s more of the mesmers reality warping skill than anything else, this one just happens to affect time. Mesmers have an illusionary rez, can create portals, can store and fire back projectiles and can swap conditions for boons.
New classes only if they are essential. New races are more plausible since they will definitely bring in new maps and new stories. I like the settings of polar bears for example. They reminded me of Philip Pullman’s Dark Materials. A pity they all look the same.
Perhaps a polar bear born with bony plates or spikes or bumps… but not tattoo or artificial decorations, better not lizardman. No frogman either. They look neither intellectual, nor magical, nor full of strength.
The kodan are essentially only able to live in the colder climates, and as far as we know very very few have ever left the cold north. One such example is a lone kodan in lions arch which had his entire tribe slaughtered by jormag.
As for the Hylek, they’ve only been found near rivers and have even been called a ‘lesser race’ by the three orders, alongside skritt, grawl, quaggan and even ogres.
so almost no chance for the kodan and absolutely no chance for hylek, considering their status as a ‘lesser race’
Sorry, ritualist are not in the game and I don’t care how many times you try to tell me that the engineer is one. I will flat out tell you and engineer is a engineer. They are not ritualist. Ritualist used spirits and delt with the spirit world not machinery or explosives or torrents. And since Cantha has closed itself off from the rest of the world there would be no reason for Arenanet to release the ritualist professions at launch since they are a Faction profession.
I’m getting extremely tired of seeing silly topics begging for new classes to come, like Monks and Druids.
If they did add a new class it would completely unbalance the natural order of it all, every class you can try to add and think of already falls under the family tree of other classes. Don’t add a Ritualist because we have necromancers, don’t add a Monk because we have Guardians, don’t add a Berserker because we already have Warriors.
We have enough.
I’m almost 100% certain that the only thing they will add in the future is new explorable areas, a new race (Tengu), and new weapons.
Why add new weapons? Well, because it’s better than adding an entirely new class, why add a Druid to the game when you can give a Ranger a staff? Before I get hate about the Tengu suggestion, the chances are it will most likely be the Tengu, they have a way of deciding on how to add new races, and they have stated before that new races are coming in the future of GW2.
If you don’t believe me, read this : http://www.guildwars2guru.com/topic/2094-room-for-future-races-and-classes/page__st__60#entry89820, and see how the Tengu fits all the questions more than all of the others.
FYI monks had been part of GW1 and since they done away with the holy trinity I don’t think you have to worry about monks being added.. Who are you to have the audacity to tell Arenanet what classes they can and cannot add? FYI Ritualist and necromancers were also part of GW1 and I want the ritualist and the dervish back. Considering Ritualist were part of Factions and from the Cantha area… So if and when they open those areas I expect to see the Ritualist. Don’t make the misatake and assume Ritualist and Necromancers are the same class, they are not. They are far from being the same. If and when they reopen Elona I expect to see the Dervish since they are from that area. As far as Druids go, I could care less since they were not part of the GW lore. As far as silly topics, they were no more silly than your silly rebuttal. Really give a ranger a staff? You obviously ignorant of what a ranger really is. You might want to do a little more research on the Druid and Ranger classes as both are totally different. So how did you move from not adding new classes to adding new races? Your rant was over new classes then suddenly adding new race…whatever!
(Garai.2685 So.. It lasts for 1 day? What about the people who have lives? Its Halloween night, who wants to be stuck on a game b/c its the only time they CAN do it?)
What? You saying those of us who choose to stay in and do this don’t have lives? What do you expect… It is with every holiday event in any game.. The grand finale is on the day of and then it ends. You can either stay home and participate or go out. I have to be at a crappy job today for 9 freakin hours so I will miss over half of it.
I’m actually rather disappointed at the LACK of reasons to interact or behave like a community in GW2. This tiny bit of social engineering, I think you can deal with it.
Really? Have you ever wondered why some of us players seek to solo more than group up? Here is why? Rudness, hatefulness, inconsideration, lack of respect to another human being, insults, verbal abuse, selfish, self serving, and the all around elitist jerk.. Need I say more? The community in this game is no better than the one in world of warcraft… sad to say. Although I know there are some good people, but you don’t hear from them since the vocal minority are the ones I listed. These are the reason I play this game with map chat off. I have no tolerance for jerks period. When I had map chat on there was not a day that didn’t go by where another player was being insulted for some stupid reason. And of course the name calling which I will term as verbal abuse.. mind you if you do this on my server I will report you. Do you people ever remember that old saying if you can’t say nothing nice then don’t say anything at all? Use it. Learn to be nice.. You will draw more flies with honey… There is no camaraderie in this community. Helpfulness? That is an endangered species on it’s way to extinction. So if you want to see more of the community grouping up then the jerks will have to stop being jerks and be more helpful and forgiving and less judgmental. Other wise it will stay the way it is.
Another thing, before you complain about how hard a Personal Story is, try actually gearing up to your level or actually getting up to the level of the Personal Story for that matter, maybe even a bit higher and I guarantee you shouldn’t have a single difficulty issue with these stupidly easy Personal Stories. -.-
You don’t know much do you? My Ranger is lvl 80 and she was behind on her story line.. She was on her lvl 30 story step… I played through it all the way to 80. There were several steps in her story that were overly difficult even with her being 80, but that doesn’t matter since the game dumbs you down to that lvl. And FYI she was geared. You might want to pull head from kitten and think about it a sec… That maybe some parts of the story might be somewhat overpowered for a solo storyline.. Some parts of my storyline was anything but easy. So take your QQ and your guarantee somewhere else. I don’t blame Arenanet either, I just blame whinners like you. Go kill and army of 50+ risen and an army of unlimited giants with a army of 10 and see how you fair..
