I am aware of that, but…he did ask about the ‘gifts everyone was talking about’. Thus, we provide the information regarding that question. And, it’s not like you have to kill anything to get the gifts the Dolyak gives. Or do anything, other than pick them up off the ground. I’d say those were ‘gifts’ no matter what your definition.

Where are these ‘gifts’ everyone keeps talking about? I logged on and found nothing but fancy non-lootable graphics in Lion’s Arch. There’s nothing in my mailbox. Where are my gifts?

Snowflakes are pretty easy to come by once we realize they are coupled to gift sizing. For getting gifts, I used up all my sPvP glory to buy lots of them from the merchant in the mist. Toypoc and Bell choir are pretty fast at farming gifts too. We can’t all just buy off the TP. We need to generate supply to even have some to sell

If you have to purchase them, they aren’t ‘gifts’.

Zommoros is actually an ArenaNet employee named ‘Phil’ who actively sits at a pc with a ‘drop precursor’ button. If he likes the way you look, he may hit the button.

Where are the gifts? I don’t see any.

I hated the SAB. I couldn’t get past the turtles at the falls in world 2-1. I tried for days and days.

First time seeing one of these in the wild… I think someone spooked it cause it disappeared mysteriously.

The jagged, boxy edges around the creature indicate that it is aliasing.

At least you can find the jumping puzzle. I’ve searched across all of Tyria and no one can tell me where the Jumping Puzzle is located.

Perhaps the Event NPCs in LA, visible from the map have something to do with this LS. Or those Dolyaks being attacked by Skritt.

I haven’t a clue as to what you are referring. All I know is this content is on a timer and nothing exists in-game to help direct your time. I read on one of the achievements that I am supposed to open presents. I saw tons of presents around LA but none with which I could interact. What am I missing?

I don’t even know how to start the Wintersday stuff. I logged in and saw no mail and no story. There was nothing but achievements. I guess I will just log back in when the game decides that it wants me to play it.

I kinda wish they wouldn’t even adhere to a schedule and, instead, just surprise us when a new patch is ready.

Whether a choice is actually a choice matters not. What matters is that the illusion of choice should be presented as clearly as is possible.

If you get down to it, nothing is ever really a choice. Which is why we, as humans, choose to do anything.

The Living Story and I don’t get along well but I am absolutely thrilled to see them spending more time on the releases. I am also very happy to see that one of the patches will be devoted to nothing but ‘features’.

I do hope they, at the very least, add the ability to move and resize the GUI elements, as in the first game.

I have been playing for almost a year and haven’t spent a single penny in the gem store because of my dissatisfaction with the living story. I refuse to fund that mediocre, carrot-on-a-stick, player-funneling, open-world-killing garbage they release every two weeks.

Holiday festival events are fine. The Living Story releases, however, make me despise this game and everyone who supports them.

P.S. …and the sad thing, I was having loads of fun in this game before ‘Flame & Frost’. I have become increasingly miserable ever since.

I consistently see more players in GW1 than I do in WoW. GW1 is still going strong.

EDIT FOR CLARIFICATION: My old WoW realm of Andorhal is nearly dead. I can’t speak for the other WoW realms.

Many of those group-based zerg achievements become nearly impossible to complete after the first couple of days. The players try to knock them out as fast as is humanly possible and then the zergfest becomes a ghost town, leaving the late comers out of luck.

Oh anyway, here’s my Sylvari Thief.

I want the writer who created Scarlet to come out and make a public video apology followed by a prompt resignation from ArenaNet.

I could not care less how that Scarlet character will die in-game. I just want her and those responsible for creating her to be gone and never return to ArenaNet in any shape, form or capacity.

Not by a long shot. Take away the latest ‘update’ and you are essentially left with the same exact game that existed a year ago. Expansions add permanent things. The LS ‘updates’ do not.

Yeah, that’s why everyone hates Trahearne. In the sylvari storyline it’s a little bit of a different vibe, it comes across like you’re just helping each other fulfill your wild hunts. For other races, it’s meh.

I really don’t know how I managed it but on my Sylvari ranger, Trahearne was playing second fiddle to me. He was barely there for the storyline and my ranger got the pale tree’s sword and all the glory.

My Sylvari thief was completely the opposite. I felt as if I were Trahearne’s footstool or pet cat or something. Emotionally, It was very unrewarding.

That letter is mildly disturbing. Almost cult-like.

Maybe it’s just me, idk. I don’t do guilds or anything else that requires the formation of an organized party. I like seeing people out there. I just don’t like grouping with them.

I have done all but Arah. I don’t do group dungeons.

/\ This statement is erroneous. I loathe playing with others. I don’t group. I don’t do dungeons/fractals,etc. However, I play every major mmorpg on the market. Why? Because I like seeing other real people in the gameworld rather than NPCs. Nothing more, nothing less.

So, stop assuming that because we play mmos that we automatically enjoy playing/teaming/grouping with others.
