Your skin will wrinkle and your youth will fade, but your soul is endless.
Doc, I seem to have the opposite problem. I have a couple hundred keys that I’ve been looking to use, but can never seem to find a CF map. Maybe it’s just the time of day?
Same with me. I’ve had almost nothing but event maps for the last two weeks, which is fine with me as I find the events to be a lot more fun. The shovels pile up and then I may (or may not) use them on a chest train on the weekend.
In other words, no trouble at all finding event maps as I seem to log into them all the time.
On a side note, I completely forgot I was sitting on over 27k bandit crests. A guild mate nudged me into spending them last night, and I invested them in over 10 stacks of Bags of Stolen Goods. After opening all of them, and selling stuff on the Trading Post, I made 80g. It was a very good night.
Ah I’ve seen that player around before. Glad to know he’s still doing it.
C’mon Lanfear, Don’t Stop Believing.
I’m blasting the video here at work.
Only two keys from map completion. 0 from random drops. About 15 chests from random drops.
I don’t know either Sid, but it’s been like that since Guild Wars 1.
While this weapon looks very nice, holy cow the constant horse noises it makes is extremely annoying. I don’t see how anyone can use it listening to that all the time.
I’m not asking anyone to not use it, or Anet to do…..whatever it is that Anet does or anything like that.
I just wanted to vent a little bit. Carry on.
EDIT: Oh, I wasn’t aware that there was already a thread about this. Glad to see I’m not the only one who thinks the sound it makes is very annoying.

Not so flashy Thorsimund.
I could contribute by translating dialog to Southern Californian.
Me: “Dude?”
NPC: “Dude”
Me: “Dude!”
NPC: “No way!”
Me: “Totally way!”
Please meet Thorsimund, my second character.
I created him specifically for doing dungeons and fractals with my guild. I never really cared for warriors, and I was conditioned to hate the Charr after 10 years of playing Guild Wars 1, so he didn’t really sit well with me at the start and I didn’t play him much unless doing things with the guild. But lately, he’s been growing on me and I’ve been taking him out into the world more often.
No one plays charr because of clipping problems and terrible lack of armor options.
No one eh? The Charr player characters I see everywhere I go say otherwise.
~sips some coffee while reading~
mmhmmm
Sure, you can run but what if your legs get tired? Or fall off?
I could run from one end of Tyria to the other, and I could be attacked, slashed at, shot at, knocked off cliffs, chomped on, and even body slammed, but my Asuran legs will not tire, or fall off.
Nebo Terrace eh? Where chances of failure and certain death are extremely high?
I’m in!
Capes will just get caught in the escalator and strangle you. You don’t want to be strangled, do you?
I don’t know what I’m going to do. this will be my first Halloween in Guild Wars 2, but I don’t want to miss Halloween in Guild Wars 1 either!
~dilemma~
If one had a mount it would be easier for one to distinguish oneself from the peasants.
(I believe some of them don’t even shower after a hard day scrabbling around in the filth and being repressed.)
Oh you’d be distinguished alright….as the only guy around banging two coconut halves together.
It’s asinine they haven’t added some way to track which are completed and which aren’t.
…or completely evil. Muahahahaaaa!
It has been suggested that Anet release the game on a GuildWars themed Flash drive I think this is a good idea flash drive are cheap and reliable plus they could add an In game utility to keep a running backup of the game in case you need to reload for some reason. I would buy one even though I already have the game and if they made different figure shaped drives they would sell a ton just because people would want to collect them.
Interesting. I really like this idea.
I really don’t understand why people have this desire to make Guild Wars 2 just like all the other games out there.
It boggles the mind.
Necromancer for me. I don’t give a kitten what the meta (or anything else for that matter) says I should play.
/agree
I main an Asura, but my second character, and only other level 80, is a Charr. I really tried to make him look like a Guild Wars 1 Charr, but was only moderately successful.
I understand I’m in the minority, but I do like to pay CASH for physical things.
I’m old fashioned like that.
Have you leveled your artificing? That enables transmorgifying lots of Essences of Luck blue to higher end Essences of Luck, which will be less clicking.
Also, I bound a key to act as a double-click, so for a stack of luck it’s 125 key strokes instead of 250 double clicks.
I think mounts should be implemented and have horrible, terrible grindy tamagotchi style mechanics. And no summoning. You actually have to mount and dismount off them, and they’ll wonder off if you don’t tie them up or hobble them. If they’re killed they’ll stay there on that PvE map forever until you get back there and revive them. You’d have to grind out special food for them every day too, or they’d lose health and speed, etc. And play with and praise them just to keep them friendly towards you. Also, they won’t quick travel. Period. You quick travel and your mount stays behind. Hope you remembered to tie it up first, or have fun searching all of whatever region map you left it in. How difficult they are to keep fed and friendly would also be tied directly to how huge and magnificent they are. A horse would be just barely, a tiny bit of a terrible experience, but any of the really enormous or ludicrous ones would be absolute nightmares. “Goodnight guys, I’d go to bed too but I need like five more of these rare crystalline tears from a level 75 fractal to make sure my Pegasus doesn’t run away or attack me on sight tomorrow. Ya it’s about three hours of grinding per day, but look how special I am! Well, no you can’t actually look, I fast traveled here and he’s over in Brisbane Wildlands right now, but trust me, I’m incredibly impressive riding him”.
If I was Anet, I’d make mounts just like this, and then fall asleep every night giggling with glee.
I like the way you think.
Thanks OP. Your comedy post really made my Friday morning.
I can completely agree with this. ~thumbs up~
~sigh~ they’re making it harder and harder for those of us that like to pay in cash.
I’m old fashioned, I know.
While I can see how the account bound inscriptions can be a problem, as a Southern California resident, I’m a bit confused as to what this has to do with California.
I must be the only one who likes hearts. I feel they add to an area, DE’s just seem to be a turn up kill things run off to next one.
~raises hand~ You’re not the only one.
To paraphrase a quote, “The true nature of a person is revealed when given anonymity.”
Not sure if this has been mentioned before in this thread (not going to look through 62 pages), but since I already have a Mini Pact Airship, I would totally pay for a Mini Glory of Tyria to accompany it.

I’m rather interested in this as well.
A krewe assistant came running in to the lab where Zerina was working on her Quaggan test subject number 1064, which was screaming in pain as the magineuroaoamplifiers were given more power.
“Some news just came in. Apparently it seems that Quaggans can no longer “rave” dance, whatever that is. What could it mean?”
“I’m not sure,” Zerina responded “but I do know one thing. An unhappy quaggan is no use at all to Tyria, and they aren’t that useful to begin with. They’re pretty much only good for front line fodder, which is why we’re studying how much pain they can take.”
“What can we do?” the krewe assistant asked.
Zerina pondered for a moment.
“I think we have enough data regarding how much pain the average quaggan can take, “Zerina said pointing at the large stack of lab notes covering over one thousand quaggan pain test subjects “and should be ready to discuss with the Arcane Council. If we can adjust the magineuroamplifiers from pain analysis to motor control, I bet we can have those useless quaggans dancing to their hearts content. It may hurt, a lot, but at least they’ll be happy.”
Zerina and the assistant began to remove the now lifeless body of quaggan pain test subject 1064 from the lab and resetting the lab for quaggan rave dancing tests.
It’s funny.
Whenever I go to my fav. class’s forum I see lots of threads with “this class is doomed”, “I quit” or “Why are we always nerfed?”
But then I block them out and go to EVERY other class forum. And you know what? They’re there too.
Makes me feel good because every class think and feels like that towards the other classes.
And more often than not I believe ignorance is spreading like wildfire.
It’s funny.
Yep, I know exactly how you feel.
As a necromancer main, I was a bit dismayed when I read the necromancer forums, but I figured that was natural for the class to be down on ourselves.
However, I cruised on over to the forums of the other classes and saw basically the same attitudes everywhere.
Is everyone a necromancer at heart? XD
While I’ve personally never had this problem (trained by mesmer troll portals), I can understand OPs frustration.
You wonder why your character is doing all sorts of crazy things and not responding to your commands when you realize your hand is mis-placed to the left or right by one key.
No, never did that… ~whistles innocently and nonchalantly~
~is mildly amused at the reactions of the bookahs~
Everyone talks about buying legendary materials on the Trading Post. Am I the only one looking forward to gathering the required materials myself? Because that’s what I’ll be doing. I want my legendary to be mine. I made it without using the Trading Post.
It’s… higher? I got a key today from doing Harathi Hinterlands events. shrugs That key was the first key drop in what? Two years? Three?
Interesting. I was doing the Ulgoth event yesterday and a player pinged a key and said it dropped from a random Centaur. It’s kind of reinforcing my belief of “kill everything.”
I’ve been wishing for this since Guild Wars 1.
I wish Heart of Thorns would be sold as a physical copy, but I’m hearing that won’t be the case.
It’s pretty rare that I see another female Asura Necromancer.
…Real men get hair done at a barber shop …
Actually I cut my own hair with a clipper.
I get what you mean though.
I had a feeling the jungle explorer was going to be temporary. I’d strongly recommend it, you can do so much with it just a simple color change can radically alter the feel and function of the outfit. With enameled generation or maybe sand dye it can be a desert themed outfit while shadow blue (actually distinct from shadow abyss on it too! I personally tested it
) can have yet another theme.
Yeah, wish you could change the colour of the hardware on it (buckles etc.), as well, so it goes with gold weapons.
What I do like about it, is that it is one of the few (or perhaps the only?) outfits/skins that has a kind of baggy top half, as opposed to being figure-hugging and/or or a long coat.
Would be nice it they did some more armour/outfits with that kind of silhouette, but without all the packs and so on.
True. I like the military effect of the outfit though wish the boots could by dyed by themselves. Yeah looser (or any really) options are always good.
Add me as another Jungle Outfit appreciator.
Standing around in a fort AFK looking through my bags is not something i approve of and i choose not to do this, there are others trying hard to complete events, and generally the map is full, if i am AFK sorting my bags while the map is full i am taking that map spot to do nothing important.
So teleport to LA or wherever and do it there. For that matter, just take the gate into Brisban.
That’s what I do. I generally save everything up throughout the week, and then on Sunday evening I travel to Lion’s Arch and sort though everything.
Also, I programmed a key specifically to act as a double-mouse click for sorting though inventory. I just tap that key and my sorting is done much quicker, with less key strokes. I haven’t given the mouse scroll wheel a try yet.
This was the first sighting I had since her going away party in Guild Wars 1. I was pretty excited.
Oh, I had a Gaile sighting over the weekend! I secretly took screens, but they’re on my PC at home. I’ll post later.
Well, since I’m one piece away from having a full Ascended set (only need the boots), I’m going to keep working on Ascended.
