Your skin will wrinkle and your youth will fade, but your soul is endless.
The many other similar threads asking for the same thing have the answers you seek.
I’d love gliding in Core Tyria as well, but it’s just not going to happen any time soon, if at all.
+1 to the OP.
The only city worth using, IMO, is Rata Sum. Why? Because everything is close together and easy to get to. When they redesigned LA, I had high hopes they’d put the Bank, TP, a merchant, and the Guild Bank close together, with all crafting stations nearby. That would make LA a convenient place to hang out. But they didn’t, so back to Rata Sum it is.
That’s the city I go to as well. Everything is organized and relatively close together (thanks to Asuran genius!) and it loads pretty fast. I really only go to Lion’s Arch if I have to use the Mystic Forge.
As stated in similar thread, I once made the mistake of complaining about the noise in map chat. Then two owners of this weapon followed me around for a couple minutes spamming whatever skill makes that noise. They weren’t shooting at anything in particular, just spamming the noise and being rude towards me in map chat.
I wish for these things too, however, I seem to remember somewhere that Anet doesn’t want us hiding out in our Guild Halls. (at work, no time to find the source).
I find it rather annoying to to have to port out to a city, go to a bank for various things, port back to Guild Hall, realize you need to craft something, port out to a city, get the item, port back to Guild Hall, etc.

I don’t believe I’ve ever noticed anything beyond growls and groans. I’ll have to pay more attention next time.
Get a life penelope!
;)
Next thing you know they’ll be after our precious bodily fluids!
Everything (that includes forums posts) has a place in the Eternal Alchemy.
I just feel sad that’s is always female relationships
Probably because men are bulgey, hairy, and just plain gross.
Am I the only person who crafted their precursor using piles and piles of mats that they had from before the HoT release? Seriously, I barely needed to buy anything outside of mithril. Between the mithrillium I had saved up and that my friends let me use, my total gold sunk into the precursor was maybe 200 gold. I’d hoarded materials obsessively since they announced precursor crafting, and it paid off in spades. Getting Dusk as soon as they fixed the modniir bug was very satisfying.
Nope, I saved loads of materials as well, but put off crafting for a bit to work on other things.
Yet another thing that you could do in Guild Wars 1, but for some unexplained reason, you can’t do in this game.
BTW OP, love your signature.
Don’t worry op, as an American, I can barely stand modern country music (love the classic Johnny Cash though), and I absolutely detest rap.
Nice LotR reference too.
Are you sure? A tiny Taimi, who is very small already, would be miniscule.
I earned the tag.
I turned it on.
I said to myself “Huh, well that’s interesting.” </Captain Jack Sparrow>
I turned it off.
I went on with my life.
So the last couple of weeks i have been reading online that the new raid is very difficult and requires ascended gear. When dealing with Pug groups or halfguild/half pug groups. Is there any online armory or something to check peoples gear? or do we just take people word?
What do you want to check, tip of my sword or the edge of the axe?
He probably wants to check what dye combinations you’re using. Fashion Wars 2 and all.
I’ve stated this in other Gliders-in-Tyria threads, and I’ll say it again here.
I’d love to see several updrafts south of Wizard’s Fief leading up to Wizard’s Isle.
I am pretty sure you can do it from Silverwastes dive spot as well, perhaps even lower than that. It is a grantee of 17 seconds free fall.
That’s possibly not considered part of core Tyria but part of the new area. That area is named the Maguuma Wastes, as seen on the dailies description.
Not too sure about that as Tyria Masteries such as Pact Commander can be leveled in Silverwastes.
Looks like slamfunction…~puts on sunglasses~….got slammed.
YYEEAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaa…
What OP really should be asking himself is why he wants to make Guild Wars 2 exactly like every other MMO out there.
Should cost 2 and 2, lower the amount of damask by one, add in 2 elonian leather, i think woulda been much more balanced?
That seems very reasonable to me.
I’m just going to hold off on making any Ascended armor for now, and just concentrate on making Bolts of Damask and Elonian Leather Squares until this gets resolved (if ever).
I remember seeing her at times in Guild Wars 1. I was there at her “Going Away” party in those days. Sometimes, I still see her around in Guild Wars 2 and it warms my heart to know that such a familiar and friendly figure is still with us.
Happy anniversary Gaile. We love you!
Getting healthy!
Let’s not forget the Black Moa quests in Guild Wars 1.
Is this affecting the AFKers in the lanes during the main event. I hope so.
I, for one, think the event with Lord Faren in verdant Brink is hilarious.
You feel HoT is getting boring fast, but new hairstyles would somehow stymie the boredom?
I don’t understand how that’s even possible.
You actually exact my brand new Rev to go out in the jungle and fight an elder dragon with an old hairstyle?
Puhleeez. My baby needs the newest hairstyle to feel comfortable while slaying dragons.
~secretary places several twigs and leaves, along with a Writ of Experience in the hair, then walks away while whistling innocently and nonchalantly~
I thought WE were the new species to the environment.
I like your style OP. ~thumbs up~
As bad as it is these days, at least it’s not the World of Tanks forums.
~shudders from the memories~
5, but I really only play 2.
I am working on Kudzu Tier 1 crafting. The only thing I need to buy on the TP is the WvW things, I think they are called Shards of Glory and the other one…I forget the name. Everything else, I am hunting around for. Every night I go to a map, I try to pick one I haven’t finished yet within that level of gathering mats, and start gathering. Unless it is something that is really not for me, like the WvW, I try to save money and do it myself. My goal is to craft one material a day. It will take me a month or two but it has been fun.
That’s pretty much what I’m doing, but for a different Legendary. No complaints from me.
Yeah. Well. There’s a 3000 to 4000 gold shoulder piece you can get though.
I think I’ll just shrug that off.
I’ve come to terms with it, and I learned to embrace the hate.
If I may ask, what stats and sigils are you all using for your Greatsword? Berserker? Valkyrie? Sigil of Force? Something else?
Coffee, and a troll thread. My morning is off to a great start.
I made it! All the holographic dancing Asurans were a kick. The jumping puzzle to get there was fun as well. Thank the Alchemy for gliders!
I’m so doing that when I get there!
A game without mounts will never sell. Launching without a strong mount system guarantees that a game will fail fast and hard.
I like the cut of your jib. +1
I see. Yet another “I want X because every other game in the history of games has X” thread.
The ballad of Mac Twinsong
Most excellent! However, I fear the reference may be lost on our younger members.
Edited because my phone turned a smiley into ????

Definitely agree with the quality of music for Heart of Thorns, very well done. So far my favorite piece, which I don’t know the name of, plays in Verdant Brink. It’s similar in mood to Hope Falls. It’s rather somber, and increases the feeling of abandon-all-hope that seems to be almost everywhere in Maguuma.
I haven’t left Auric Basin yet, so I’m sure I haven’t experienced all the beautiful new music.
Silverwastes -> Chest farm.
I don’t see much of that happening lately as more people are farming events there to work on their masteries, and hoarding the shovels for their guild halls.
I like the idea, but I’d be rather worried what some of you pervs would be doing to my alts while I’m not there.
On the other hand, maybe I’d be better off not knowing.
I haven’t noticed any absence, but I’ll definitely keep a look out for it now.
How fast does the leveling actually go with this method compared to leveling in Silverwastes?
It’s been like that for a while, not just in Heart of Thorns (well, at least for Death Shroud instead of Reaper’s Shroud). I think it’s rather annoying, but I figured I was the only one it bothered.

Just got Overlord’s Defeat for killing Ulgoth. Not even in the same map.
Actually, I just defeated Ulgoth, but instead of getting Modnir’s Ruin, I got Overlord’s Defeat, the one you get in Kessex Hills.
Definitely a bug.
Hopefully, someday, gliding will be implemented in Central Tyria, and maybe add a few updrafts south of Wizard’s Fief.
Best patch ever.
