Is there anyway you can change these so that they are infusions rather then gems. I think people would get a lot more use of them if this was changed.

Better yet, a MF recipe to upgrade them to infusions… that way peeps have a choice.

Mine’s “eeeeeeEEEEEEEEEeeeeeee!” as I run past trying to escape.

It wouldn’t surprise me if some people call it “wwwwwwwwwwwwwwww” just before they die.

I’m tempted to start calling the LH “kitten” for short.

Except with a dps offhand axe, you can choose a defense/utility mainhand like the mace.

~EW

That usually just means it’ll get paired with warhorn or shield to be a 100% defence/utility set and use your other weapon as dps.

Sure it’s an option, but I doubt it’ll ever be a worthy option.

I’m not so sure about that. For me I’d require slotting Dual Wielding. With that, though, the AA has a good power mod that also gives weakness, there’s a block on a quick cooldown, and a daze interrupt… I think it’d have merit. The daze means you can follow up with your burst (which stuns), followed by the whirling axe. Daze could also remove stability for the stun to land, and the stun keep ’em in place for the whirling axe to hit more and build adrenaline quickly.

Of course I recognize that’s all on paper. In-game such things are rarely so smooth…

Frustrated i tried quite a few classes and couldnt find one i like. that was until i tried rev. It was sooo much fun but my friend informed me that they were nerfed lately so that means from what she todl me no one takes revs on raids. This makes the decision hard on me as i love rev and want to do the expac with it. but i also want to raid. could use some advice as i dont know what to do. guardian looks interesting as well but i am loving rev.

If you love the Rev, then play the Rev… because that’s what’s going to keep you logging in and playing.

Join or create a raiding guild, and become friends with those people…. friends won’t begrudge you playing the profession you wish (though they may reqeust/expect a specific build for that profession). Even if Rev is currently not the top in-demand profession, that doesn’t mean there’s no place for it.

Agreed. Once Halloween is over, go farm things that drop gear/loot bags…. SW is great for this, as are many of the HoT maps. Open up all the bags on a lvl 80, salvage everything (use mystic kits on leather armor, use basic kits on everything else), keep the leather, and sell the other mats on the TP to buy more leather.

Mad King’s Labyrinth update

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: EphemeralWallaby.7643

EphemeralWallaby.7643

I’m somewhat amused that the majority of the lab farming squads I’ve joined in the last couple of days now just skip the Viscount boss. Since the buff they consider him a bad use of time. Perhaps his rewards needs buffing too….

He’s still not hard and what players fail to realize is champ bags give at least 5 HoT bags.

If the door spawn timing was such that there’s always a door available then I can see skipping less efficient doors (like the two three doors that spawn a single vet — very little reward there). Given that there is “down time” where general mob farming is pursued, skipping Viscount doesn’t seem that efficient.

I’d rather play to enjoy the challenge of the content than farm an area as efficiently as possible. To me, the former is enjoying the game, while the latter is working from home.

Shocking. Simply shocking pre-judging. Just because an 8 foot Skeleton is running towards you with a roaring chainsaw is no reason for you to make negative snap judgements about him and run away! You need to take the time to talk to him. Try to see things from his point of view. Empathize. Maybe he’s having a bad day and only needs a sympathetic listener. If he chainsaws you in half its a sign you didn’t try hard enough. You didn’t reach out to him and discuss his needs, his dreams and problems.

Can’t we all just get along? :/

Showing, of course! Its the best part of the entire outfit

Unfortunately, our internal tests are showing that it is most likely tied to the helm. So it is possible that you may be crashing other people’s clients that see you while they have low animation settings.

You have to admit, this is pretty funny.

Yes, the infusion is a straight drop from the ToT bag. The poly-luminescent undulating refractor is a jewel salvaged out of a necklace that is dropped out of the ToT bag.

It is the infusion that the OP wants.

Phospholuminescent Infusion--Halloween

Hello, I just spent litterlly 10 hours nostop opening an insane amount of ToT bags, about 60k bags or more considering the others opened in the previous days and of course I didn’t see the Phospholuminescent Infusion, did you lower the drop rate or what? It’s not fun at all, as the first day after 2 hours there were already 3 Infusions at TP. For me this is totally insane, i was really hoping to get it if i opened so many bags but nothing…I’m very disappointed

So, if I understand you right you opened 60k bags, which currently go for over 5s ea on the TP… round down to 5s, that means those bags could sell for somewhere around 3k gold…. to buy the infusion on the TP, it’s just north of 2.1k gold. So you could have gotten the infusion, liquid gold just under 1k, and avoided future carpel tunnel surgery if you had just sold the bags instead.

OK, but that doesn’t really mean that there is a problem with sword as it’s realized for warriors. It’s clear to me that most of the people QQing about sword haven’t attempted to play a condition zerker with it … and they are missing out. So their underlying experience to claim it’s deficient is lacking.

Agreed. One can’t take whatever build they run with, slot a new weapon, and expect it to work well. When one’s build is tailored to the weapon, that’s when you really see what the weapon can do.

It still hasn’t appeared in the API, so no one’s obtained it in game either. Here are some possibilities:

  • There will be more stuff in the gem shop Friday (weekend prior to RL Halloween)
  • It’s a mystic forge recipe that no one has discovered.
  • There’s an in-game “quest” that no one has discovered.
  • It appears as an item because an NPC uses it as a ‘mini’ (and none of us have noticed).
  • ANet had completed enough work on it to include it in the test patch…and it got approved for release, but pulled at the last minute for [reasons], thus it would appear in the .DAT file, but not in game.
  • ANet is trolling us, to see what weird things we do when we see something we like in the .DAT file.

How do you break people from hording? That’s the issue. The relatively sudden rise in price encourages hording more than the attractiveness of selling.

You change many of the recipes that require mystic coins to require something else… or make them use less mystic coins. The less in-demand they are, the more will be flogged on the TP.

I suppose I could be considered one of those who hoard mystic coins. But, I don’t do so out of any nefarious scheme to sell them for profit. I hold on to them because at some point I’m going to want to make a weapon skin for a particular look I’ll be going for at that time. I keep the coins I get, and I use them sparingly because I know how easily I could burn through them. They are just too useful to part with.

I agree about blade shards, chak eggs, mysitic forge stones, etc. I also suggest resonating slivers.

I undertsand why you don’t want to put crafted things in. Would it be hard to at least make more things stackable in the bank, like the various salvage kits, harvesting tools, etc.?

Every month I end up getting quite a few BL salvage kits. It’s great to get them for free, but it would be even better if they stacked.

It would be extremely hard, if not impossible to make those things stack.

why would it be hard to make black lion salvage stack ?

I think it’s because they’re not programmed as a stack of 25 items, but instead 1 item with 25 charges/uses.

What's Missing from Material Storage?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

EphemeralWallaby.7643

But gemstones are used directly in crafting. They are used to make the various earrings and rings.

Sigils and Runes are not. That’s why they should not be added to material storage.

Only the following items should be in Mat storage:

1. Items used in crafting or MF recipes unless they are unbound and only used in a handful or recipes (ie: you can easily buy one off of the TP or be too hard to store one in your characters’ bags or bank spots).
2. Items that can’t be crafted UNLESS the crafted version is required in LARGE quantities for recipes (ie: ingots, planks, sections, etc)

Sigils and runes do not fall under those categories. And only a handful of them are even used in crafting and MF recipes and I would only support those sigils and runes being added.

A much better suggestion would be to have a Sigil and Rune library where you can deposit sigils and runes to and be able to access it from the Hero Panel. That way you can just swap sigils and runes. Useful if you’re doing dungeons and just need to swap out from one set to another due to dungeon type.

Yes, I’m aware of all that. But, to me they’re still not much different than gemstones, ore, etc… crafting has nothing to do with how I view them. I’d feel the same if all gemstones had to be stored in my bank tabs. They are an item type that there are tons of variety of, and they sit around for days, weeks, months, and even years without being touched… just like gemstones, ore, etc.

If the devs want to stick to crafting/MF mats for this project, that’s fine… that was clarified after I made my runes/sigils suggestion.

Would Superior Sigils and Runes be too many things? If not, that’d be a nice addition.

~EW

A much better implementation, and a much-needed one, in my opinion, would be to have a “sell all sigils” option with vendors. I am supposing that you would like this option to allow for an easier job of mass salvaging (now with salvage all option) green items and immediately depositing all mats to clear inventory. I would like to see that instead of a material tab (since it’s not really a material), there’s an option to sell all to vendors, similar to “sell junk.” Maybe this could work for rare and masterwork sigils, but not exotics?

Actually, no… I have 2 1/2 bank tabs devoted to Superior Runes and Sigils (because I change up my builds so often, I like to keep as much around as possible). My thought is these are two types of items that take up a large swath of space… I don’t view them much differently than I view gemstones, ore, etc. The minor and major I don’t care much about… I can vendor/MF them quickly enough that they’re not a problem for my inventory.
