Dont worry flow, the corrupters fervor build sucks
Just something i messed with new amulet. The argument was more IF death and axe were good, then they actually work non clunkily together unlike most our stuff.
Nope.
We want necro to bring something else to the team synergie, not just everyone doing blasts.
Thats why we nerfed BlighterBoon and gave Revenant passive glint.
because their design vision around greatsword doesn’t match with pvp
pvp is about fast paced mobility, greatsword is about slow, strong attacks. guess what will win that match up.
Honestly the problem is not that gs is slow perse. The theortical design of gs is that it is slow with strong attacks but has also the control to make those hits land. In theory gs actually has alot of control with its chill, cripple and a pull. Sadly it just doesnt work due the fact that they are ether on a long cd (grasping darkness) and/or hard to land (3rd auto, nightfall, grasping darkness). Also gs reaper cannot protect their snares (chill, cripple) like a condi reaper could because they dont have the cover conditions to do so.
I think the best way to fix gs, if you want to keep the slow nature of it, is to improve the skills that can set up the slow attacks. On GS that would be mainly Grasping darkness. I would probably like it the best if the cd on grasping darkness was reduced and it become more like a skill shot similar how gs3 on warriors works. Well ofc it is improtant that when grasping darkness hits the target that the pull is reliable bringing the target in gravedigger/melee range which it sadly actually doesnt.
GS is beyond saving.
The buggy-clunky-shownintrailer-several-times-reported-simpynonfunctioning pull ……and it doesnt even combo into the gs#2 , its too slow.
At least they wasted time on fancy new tech and skill that is in every way worse than its guardian gs#5 from launch.
Its not like you were the only class with a weaponset that cant be used in certain game modes…or at all
Actually I really dont know of the others. Honestly, if you can bring up some examples I’d have a better idea.
Thief:

Oh sword uselessThose only quick observations by going through the build editor.
If you want a complete or accurate list you only need to go to mb and put all weapons that are not part of a ‘meta’ or ‘great’ build on this list.
Actually necro might be the only class where the elite weapon is not top tier.
Useless list….
Warrior has 12 weapons and 7 different mainhands.
Necro has 4.
And through whole history, 1.5 of those were good with one “ONLY” using autoatack…which is now a laughable auto compared to powercreeped sustain.
U literally have nothing to choose from and whatever u pick is baddish.
Greatsword feels designed for pvp with its chill on auto, you know “helping necro to be hard to get away from”…. and after all the listed feedback they ship such a pile.
Not whining towards warrior or anyone else, just stating the fact that its the lowest possiblities proffesion and those 4-5 possiblities 3+ are c rap.
Hello.
I kindly ask anyone who was close to making the calls of bringing more power creep with stats and broken stat combos for an explanation of reasoning.
Thank you
brazils valkyre video
note that sustain has been powercreeped so much, the once medium mehish autoatack is now really low, theres a lot of sh13t that outheal it even in zerker vs zerker.
The proc sigils have been nerfed. Good and long overdue move.
The lifeforce generation is also low since its a clunky sidestepable skill.
Theres only 2 builds that have “i want axe for it” in them.
A valkyre vuln stacker since its our only reliable vuln source.
And a corrupters favor defensive build, since each vuln stack counts on its own and with aoe cripple – it is the easiest weapon to maintain the buff.
If axe gets its 4th redesign and death magic its 3rd, and Anet doesnt megafail again, then it might be a solid pick for poor base necros.
TLDR
Axe deals zero damage. And for the range kiting potential – Anet intoduced brokenant on oct23 so theres another full melee class with perma chasing ability.
Its only seldom taken since GS is even worse.
Its typical anet. In qurater year they can only do minor CD or dmg increases. An actual aftercast reduction takes 1-3 years, CDIs and 99x meetings if a single mothered new player from alfacentaura might find it too confusing.
Jokes aside
Pve) is used for vuln, but the huge aftercast makes it almost a dps loss. Sux for a burst weapon
Wve) clunky = misses everytime = 0 value
Pvp) clunky = misses everytime = 0 value
Blind, block, dodge = player mechanics
Obstructed, sidesteped, walkthrough, missed, didnt bounced, cast and aftercast = anti necro exclusive game engine mechanics
Quwestion: When you say 33 thousand damage per second do you actually mean 3300 damage per second? 33k sounds a bit far fetched at the least.
The first half is GS autoatack rotation and it did 2mil dmg in 90s aka 22k dps.
The second half switches to gs#2 spam rotation, which deals 27k dps + 20% bonus from trait = 33k dps aka he really finishes second half of 2mil dmg in 60seconds.
That is ofc all unrealistic buffs, tho alacrity wouldnt affect the gravedigger spam by much as basicaly a new autoatack. Realistic buffsscenarios and mechanics like dodgine etc are over 30% lower overall.
Its also bad that GS with its chilling autoatack seemed designed for PVP, 4 out 5 skill being unfinished piles of garbage , it can only be used in pve against golems….and there its dps is lower cz of the chill etc..
Yes pve mainly raids is this topic.
Tho i have been outdpsed by thiefs in PVP with dagger just trading blows…. Pretty shameful for power necro a year ago where trading blows was the best thing that could happen to you.
Hello.
This recant video shows a fullbuffs GS only rotation dealing overall 27k DPS.
First 2mil dmg in 90s = 22k dps
Second 2mil dmg in 60s = 33k dps
BUT
the second half is also buffed by 20% under 50 trait, so by itself “PURE GAVEDIGGER SPAM” dps = 27k
- 33k dps that isnt affected by alacrity to me isnt as terrible. Especialy as the strating phases are easy – what matters is to quickly kill it at end when its chaotic. But same argument can be made for thief&ele and chaotic means more interupts on gravedigers
- A necro in “executioner mode” is dealing less dps than a thief autoatacking. Or ele 3button overloading.
Yes theyre squishier, but our GS and dagger autos have fallen a bit behind, since Anet buffed thief to deal with brokenant.
Thoughts?
Edit: its rare for me but this a PVE post.
(edited by Flumek.9043)
Absolutely do it.
Reaper runes were only semi useful in pvp, and only cz one esl necro (prototype) used them at the start.
For pve they werent even great anyway, since 2 of the shouts already apllied long chills. Yes the durations have been nerfed, but now chill doesnt dmg anymore so youre only getting 1x 8s bleed out of it.
Scholar, srtength, pack or wurm with valkyregear in that order. pack is bad for raids tho, so id suggest either a cheap power one or save up the money for scholar/strength
Agreed.
It still a 70s spam in 1v1
Teamfights will last longer.
Thanks Arenanet.
“Rev is still being played! I want those kittens that gave ANET money for their expansion to never touch Revenants again, it must get nerfed enough to be unplayable!”
This is basically all of you who keep saying that Rev has been getting nothing for nerfs, when practically almost every patch, although not across every single skill, they have been getting drastic nerfs one skill at a time. This is the second time Surge of the Mists has been nerfed, if you didn’t know then it’s clear how little you actually care about being fair. And you pretty much don’t even play Revenant, the only way to land all the damage from a skill you have no control over once you cast it is actually very situational, like being AFK next to a wall.
You well know deep inside you that you want Revenant completely out of radar, like being played 1 for each 20 players.
The DPS is already really bad for Raids and Revenant is only usable in WvW for Hammer 2, what a kittening disgusting community.
Its so low quality it looks like a troll post but ill comment on it once.
1) PVP is central balance. Non elitist, just fact. And in PVP, rev is seen with disgust by the whole top community. It is just that much better. tldr for average joe – its a warrior with guard sustain and thief mobilty.
So were discussin PVP balance, on PVP forums. Were keeping PVE/w3 balance in mind when making smart suggestions and you can do same.
For PVE raids – its a must have meta class, a utility boon support with medium high DPS…What do YOU want more?
2) A bit similiar to above, but pay2win is not this games model. As such brokenant still has a lot of nerfs it can receive before its even upper mid-tier, so dont worry.
3) Most nerfs rev got were trivial, so far that many have lost trust in ANets sense of direction.
Precision strike from 4s to 5s – in a month of work and complaints is a clear example, and todays staff#5 “nerf” is the same trivial ignorance.
4) I do know the rev but say ty to ANet for not having any meaningful way for us to measure our kitten or mmr or etc.
So ill just leave you with a story of team taking a worthless necro on their team, just for the ability to strip stability avery 40s.
If rev staff #5 – did 0 damage – the evade + leap + multi stab rip + zero counterplay from animation + 20s CD = would still make this a great skill on on pro levels.
Have fun on your brokenant till next trivial nerf in 3 months.
Believe it or not I still agree, but what irks me is that some people here think that it’s absolutely nothing. Making it sound like “15% nerf?, it should have been a 95% nerf so no one touches that thing again”
Ill just repost.
Surge of the mist is one of the most stupid skills of the game, it should not have damage on it to begin with (very strong CC + gap close + evade should be enough for one skill).
What is more fun?
Watching Revs pretend they are balanced.
Or
Watching Condi Mes pretend they are balanced.
Tough to decide.
Revenants, 100%.
In the mesmers case you know hes either playing a other build or hes that much of a beginner that he doesnt know the Instant win combos.
In the revs case, they have evades and low CD soo across the board and oneshot single presses, we all know the phrase “accidentally died to a rev”.
So the player must be a PVE baddie, who is meta utility with medium dps, but still wants moar, like XxsdgxX.8109 above.
its 1. minions will always pull if you have a condie on you, then that minons 10s timer starts.
Precision strike – oneshot every 5seconds instead of 4.
Staff 5 – unavoidable evading multi-stab-ripping gap closer now deals 5k dmg instead of 6.
That is Anets vision of nerfing rev.
Definetly aiming gun in right direction. Too bad they shoot rev with their softest rubberband to not affect HOT sales too much.
MOA – changes nothing that you die to a condi bomb without your utilities, and you die so every 70s. No 20s invulnerabilty uptime or condi nerf followed with ele healbot nerfs.
EVERY MESMER WANTS TO COMBO F5 NOT SPAM A BIRD OF CD. DISABLE ELITE+F5
REV STAFF 5 – instead of 6k you get hit for 5k on a unavoidable evading gap closer. No sustain or evade nerfs to a zerker class that lves longer than old soldiers builds. NO 5s port nerf or sword 2 or sword 3.
RESULTS -
Mesmer moa will be only cheesed in smaller fights or 1v1s and teamfights will last longer.
FEEDBACK
Thank you for 2 or 3 weeks of work.
(edited by Flumek.9043)
Power builds only need an ascended weapon for extra dmg, weapon strength.
Condi builds mainly need duration. Exotic vipers has it already crazy close to escended so theres no difference there.
Asc armor is only helpfull for wvw if you want to get hit a bit less.
Its weird, on oneside the axe is just terrible and focus too, and offhand dagger is also hard to fit in… but if the stars align its pretty normal.
Just has same problms as every other power build going against the powercreeped game.
In my guess its carried by amulet. You need the power runes too.
Aha toughness scaling, thanks.
Can someone answer me how t4 fractals are?
Theres been a necro veteran but he claimed power necro should be kicked from DUNG/FRACT LFGs.
My arguments were:
-This isnt raids. Stuff dies too fast so power is waay beter and easier than condi (landing epi half second after trash mob dies). U also lose 5k per set of minions on any non boss thing.
-this isnt 10man buff but 5man. So perma 25/25 might vuln at all times is worth more
-its lfg puging, not record runs. Necro is easier to play and thus the average and subaverage pug can still be very effective on it. A training wheels build that goes as fast as normal car
Am i wrong somewhere?
Are t4 fractals so high hp on mobs that the condi dmg has time to ramp and catch up? Do you do high hp 5target epidemics every 15s, that you couldnt easier burst with wells every 30s ?
If this is how a “necro veteran” missinterprets the mechanics then idk what other even think of necros
I must be living on a different planet than those that see the chill nerfs as “buffs”.
Chill applying bleed is indeed a buff in PvE, less so in WvW and PvP I’d argue
Bleed on chill is only a buff in PvE team fights against major bosses when running a condition damage build.
Do pve people actually bother to switch to staff/shroud or do they just camp scepter? Thought most of their bleed came through minions and scepter? I honestly don’t know but curious as I thought about gearing my necro for raids instead of WVW.
Staff and shroud are both for defense and tagging in a PvE condition damage build.
One of the problems with Necro/Reaper is that condition damage is overwhelmingly dependent upon scepter’s auto-attack. If you build and trait for condition damage, you want to avoid using shroud, staff, and any skills that reduce bleed application rate. After all, there was a lot of sacrifice in terms of equipment stats to gain high condition damage. Scepter builds just always seem squishier because so much defensive and offensive utility was lost setting up for condition damage.
The patch attempted to fix that by making bleeding possible on a wider range of weapons and utilities. Skills with chill and short cast times that do not interfere with scepter AA are fine, though dps seems nerfed compared to dps with chill damage.
Using focus 5, now, is close to a wash because it interrupts scepter AA. Staff is a straight dps loss even with Chillblains proc’ing a bleed. Suffer and Chilled to the Bone give a single long bleed but then go on cool-down.
Dhuumfire and Terror do more damage than the bleeds from chill. This drives the build toward Curses for scepter and Terror, Soul Reaping for Dhuumfire and to help shroud. If you want to go Reaper, then you cannot take Blood Magic or Death Magic, both of which are useful in condition damage builds so you should consider whether the better Reaper is worth taking for its Shroud, greatsword, and shouts rather than for the bleeds.
Give up Soul Reaping for another trait line, like Death Magic for exploding minions, and you will find yourself perpetually low on life force unless you run all shouts as a Reaper. Dhuumfire goes away, too.
Give up Reaper and be stuck with basic Necromancer, Death Shroud, and no extra bleeds.
The trades to get a single bleed on chill, and develop a chill build, require a lot of sacrifices I weigh carefully.
This whole rant is for someone analyzing the build on paper and not understanding dynamic combat. In any gamemode you will have to do more than AA. You have to move, dodge, defend, set up and coordinate with teammates. Certain skills have certain situations when to use them. For example you say Focus 5 is a wash for interrupting scepter AA. Well focus has a 1200 range. I usually open with focus when attacking a single opponent at range. Landing 3 conditions, stipping boons and doing damage before I even engage. Reapers Touch and Spinal Shivers nets a ton of vulnerability and 6.5 seconds of chill 10 seconds of bleed before I’m in scepter AA range. “Suffer” and “Chilled to the Bone!” to renew chills and condis that might have been wiped and I have serious pressure on a target. The flaw in your logic is that your numbers are based on an opponent just standing there letting you AA them to stack bleeds. Having options that adapt the situation is what makes a good build. If I’m dealing with a group Staff 5 can land 4 conditions on their entire group. As they cleanse Suffer, CttB, Chilliblians and my other 3 or 4 sources of chill keeps condition pressure up. The thing is everyone wants to be Superman. They want 1st HIGH DAMAGE 2nd HIGH SUSTAIN usually at the expense of their team. If I’m on a decent team with some good DPS teammates my condi cover wrecks the opponents ability to defend against us. I’m not doing the heavy damage I used to but the scramble players do when hit with 3 and 4 conditions at a time is a major difference in a fight. Do I wish I was the powerhouse I was pre patch? Of course but it’s not a complete loss and there’s room to make it work.
We do need to get a little buffed in the next patch though. Our build options are suffering.
focus 5 at 1200range ? fear mark at 1440 ftw, youre 1500 away from me and you ate 2 marks and youre on scepter/focus, gg

2mes 2rev 1healbot …or a druid swap
Almost free 1 stunbreaker….. Trash….. Come on dude, this triat allow use up too You Shroud when even You want.
It is legit trash.
1) its a single stack. be angry at Anet for keeping brokenant with a 3rd unavoidable while inuvlnerable type of burst that deals 5k. (staff 5 for the plebs)
2) The stunbreak
Problem a) It can mess up your flow of combat, you normaly want to heal and burst then spend a good ammount in shroud for CDs to recharge….If you enter with low shroud just for a stunbreak – your normal hp bar will not last till next enter shroud.
Problem b) Immobilize stacking – its why it was already bad a year ago when there wasnt power creep yet
Problem c) Power creep in CCs
Old days you had a slow hammer warrior, if you stunbroke you could avoid the next slow hit and break the stunchain – most importantly you also avoided most further damage.
Nowdays the next hit will still hit you. A trap a glyph a passive taunt…same for the next already incoming hit (a shatter, rev will port on you every 5s, thief rupt is a timebomb,…)
3) The DPS loss
Self explanatory with the sustain buffs everyones got.
A realistic quote from hellseth was, that the current skill-level in pro leagues is ofc higher than in old days (mechanics of players are solid) but the outplay potential is lower (stronger passives).
Its a fine example of a decent strong pick not keeping up with the power creep.
Its still stupid with no signs of nerfs incoming in pvp. anet selling hot i guess. Its #2 spot right behind the current fotm.
In PVE afaik its not record run optimal, but pretty much everyone else takes it. And it can be very casual/beginner friendly with goodp erformance, so its a safe pick.
WvW zergs afaik the hammer is pretty valuable there, i think it is in the must have zone.
WvW roaming its almost same as pvp, with a con of more condi builds.
http://academygamingnet.com/guild-wars-2-class-tier-list-april-27th-2016/
this stupid nonsense :
quote “Recent changes have been all buffs for the mesmer, which has only make this class even better than it was before. Running the same meta build, Flow of Time’s increase in alacrity uptime has only made this stronger which puts mesmer at the top of the charts.”and it ignores the fact that mes has trash damage in team fight also is countered by war , condi necro , and DH even DD could beat a condi mes on its own .
and its titled as By Storm & Pro Leaguers
more ridiculous it puts tempest below chronomancer lol in A tier
and this is following the trend mes hate in pvp forum i wonder if some so called pro team intended to make false info to make mes nerfed into ground again hint there is only few good mes in pvp tournament and not every team gets one .
srsly , i would like to see any team in tournament without a tempest or rev . If they really see mes being that powerful , please run double mes or more vs another team with equal skill .
this kinda of article matter nothing , since now they calling mes S tier , later in tournament they run tempest ,rev ,scrapper and war .the words have no consequence in those peoples mind and hence why they never ever tried to prove their words by facts and action .
honorable mention :scepter condi mes was totally dominating pvp!
are you kittened? pro league teams don’t run double mes because you’re not allowed to class stack.
if it was allowed, EVERY single team would run double mes, double rev and an ele.
Exactly this.
When DD ele was at its worst, we saw 4 dd ele +1 thief pug win against a known team.
Next week they limited it to 2 or 3x per team.
That doesnt change the balance facts, that one build is so above the rest it occupies several slots.
Mes and rev are just too good in overall 1v1s, living long in 1v2, killing fast in 2v1and generall y good in 3v3+ teamfights + having mobility, with mesmer moa even able to instantly kill in a teamfight.
The ele is still a crazy OP healer, its just in A-tier since compared to what i wrote above, ele “only” stalls fights and doesnt want 1v1s. It also requires minimal coordination, so soloq is plagued with revs and mesmers more.
Im in a way saying that condi necro is equally bad, probalby worse.
So necro should not be allowed to dungeon/fractal at all.
kapa123
You may think GS is bad………………but it’s actually really good to kill off downed foes…………………….. and also its pull……………………. and dark field are quite useful.
………… Unless you can prove me wrong.
I would be careful with replying to such obvious clickbaits, as the user is reporting poeple to cause infractions.
Id again ask a moderator to close the thread.
I don’t really kow what beef you got between eachother, don’t really care either. I’m not convinced he’s trolling. For me it looks like someone is super obviously wrong wanting really, REALLY bad to be right. Like pointing his finger on grass and telling me it’s blue, not green.
I stated obvious facts, my opinion is that the build posted in the OP is complete garbage. It tells you a lot when a build looks actually worse than a full-glass-cannon Berserker GS fun-build. For any sane PvP person this build is fodder to their kill count. Nevertheless anyone is welcome to play with any build they want. Whatever makes them happy.
Well I told you I tried everything you listed.. and I pvped for a long time. I’m not convinced that their better unless you can prove me that they are. Not exactly trying hard to be right.
But this build or something close to it is what got me to legendary, I think it’s viable. Only difference is I used mercenary’s before the update and sometimes switched a few traits. I also used parasitic contagion instead of weakening shroud now because it’s nicer with the new deathly chill.
I also often use the particular word garbage to describe the quality of some builds/posts logic.
Yet when I provide accurate measure and try to recycle them away from a 100x times proven pollution – I get infraction points.
So heres some obvious trivial arguments to back up the claims:
- Greatsword…nuff said, its such a bad weaponset that I will pretend a d+Wh/d set as the power one in future
- Not taking passive plague signet – the first failed IQ test, the gains of 1x bleed per blind is neglectible compared to transfering a 10-20k condibomb, each transfer is basically an extra life
- Krait runes – the 2nd test, long duration bleeds are useless as they get cleansed or they do overkill once enemy is out of CDs…The long duration is also counterproductive to the glassy bursty nature of the rest of the build…no to mention the tick low
-Terror – this one is even worse than going for the bleeds. Its low tick, no duration, an unfrequient 1,5k dmg. A 2 boon corupt applies a lot more pressure, reliably….Even lower corupt boon and trasnfering the bleeds with a proc or offdagger seem less bad options.
I would feel unconfident against a subaverage hotjoiner with this build.
Close the thread.
(edited by Flumek.9043)
Ingame automated tournies please
Otherwise, could we see some actual numbers on how many players reached legendary before critizing that every casual reached it?
My guess is top10% aka 5.000 ppl per region
Sorry to necro this thread, but I had a weird feeling and i re-read the first post – which is what trigered me in the first place.
1) the OP post is claiming that in raid like buffed scenarios – a power necro does much less damage than condi.
2) it is because of raid like scenarios – that you should be kicked from a fractal/dungeon
My main point
Dungeon/Fractal have different mechanics. Theyre filled with constant low hp trash mobs and even bosses die fast.
*That makes power instant dmg easier to land and condi dmg doesnt always ramp up fast enough. *
The dps i got was 10k ish for both, without quickness or horrors and with 2x banners only. Aka 15k with quickness, and them some more party buffs and about +5k for each set of horros to get over twenties.
But in a dungeon, if u dont have mesmer, you will kill a boss in 15s instead of 10s.. And then u walk 2min till next 15s boss agai….
So my claim is, in dungeon/fractals dps is often so out of roof its irrelevant. What matter is players dodging and not dying and invul/reflect/teleport skip mechaincs to move faster.
Again, this i claim to be true for all the faceroll dungeons and at least lower half of fractals.
I think Elementalist, Revenant and Mesmer will still be in the teams but what about the rest?
You dont need to think for that….
2rev 2mes and a healbot…maybe druid. Thats meta, rest is esl no stacking rule and picking a otherwise unviable 5th.
The pick should be between thief or necro if ele can babysit him.
NO, no pve garbage, JUST exclusive pvp skins OR black lion tickets OR money.
That is an unrealistic dream.
we arent main focus to get enough exclusive skins, and its Anet, they released hotjoin skins and a mini shinier version for 20 players….thats their “pvp exclusive infrastructure”.
Black lion tickets is never going to happen, they live from gems.
Real money is nice, but a high tier super pug isnt getting a dollar for every match win in high tier MMR.
This is not about scrim scrim scrim then win tournament.
Were talking about giving the whole game a reason “to play another pvp match”.
If in PVE you do a 5th dungeon, thats another 10gold.
If in PVP, youre #230 superpug and you win against #25 players….you get 30 silver.
If they wanna do it through leagues, fine, just make them actualy meanigfull and add around 100gold for every legendary prestige you make.
Basically gold per hour, that scales with MMR and isnt a joke to PVE.
Basically a copy of everything the laurel vendor has ….and i dont mean the minis
Evan, shards of glory need to be a real currency.
Asc armor weps trinkets, skins, dyes, crafting mats…Those are only real things wth value. I think crafting mats and dyes would be easiest to add, and theyd help getting the mats gift for backpack.
Example,
i have the 600g legendary backpack….Ive never cared about the shards, i dont think the limited tickets are worth a minipet that i already got from playing in tournaments.
Gold. Golden goldy gold.
PVE gold per hour is upwards of 20, even 30g/h with just braindead shoveltrain.
Meanwhile, a high tier MMR or proleague player, gets 60silver per hour and usually 0 if he scrims….
I know legendary rank is infected with casualism, but it should be rare and it should be same 10-20g per hour. It shouldnt be liquid gold, but something of same value, which is linear to how many games i play – not a one time achievement then back to pressing F in silverbrains.
(edited by Flumek.9043)
Mesmer is strong in the hands of great players, just like every other class.
“great” is a compliment not an insult.
There are 3,5 viable classes right now, you only see 5th slot cz of non stacking rules.
stop hijacking this productive thread. chronos are insanely OP right now and need to be toned down.
Bring us some ESL team compositions, so we can see how much of those insanely OP mesmers running around.
If not for esl rules to cover anets slow balancing, the comp of every single team would be
2 mes
2 rev
1 ele healbot
Maybe some rare druids, but its funny its soooo bad that its same as season 1. Bleh

Their dagger has one of the highest auto attacks in the game.
It used to be, its a laughing tickle now.
No worries man, just tear it apart
Sorry for using too old numbers. 20/35k is pretty low, especially since one is built for autoatacks…
I havent done any fractals in a while and i just cant be bothered with that content anymore. Id just ask if the LFG players got better, i mean the whole pool of random 100ppl.
If you get 25might/vuln always
100% dps uptime on the few ranged parts
nobody being a real scrub and dying often
If you wait less than 5min on lfg
So from here its personal opinions how often that hapens on the low end. Power necro is just great training wheels for the lowerst of clickers to actually do a lot.
IMO fractals and dungeons are/were easy enough and having lower but safer dps didnt extend the overall thing by much since a lot is still running around, as much as a wipe or extra LFG wait times did.
I repeat, this is only my opinion, for the low end when you must take a person from lfg. Not a guild speed or god forbid record run and raids also have no benefit from safety as theyre mostly wipe or nothing.
after three years there are fewer maps\
5 people is too small for a pvp match
Pretty mihc everyone wants smaller 2v2 arenas. Youre either just being 8v8 nostalgic or you legitmately like unrecognizable clusters in which case i recommend WvW or rolling 20x dice down the stairs and seeing how many 6s u get.
Im not actualy insulting you, the dice are just an example of how skillful random chaos is.
Blurred Frenzy is an invuln? really? since when?!
Infinite blocks? is 3-4 second really that long?
15s of invuln? teach me master!

About 15s of invuln + 5-10s of kiting time.
And a confusion torment spike may cause you to stand afk for about 5s
Do i need to count 10s of moa every 70 seconds on top?
I can understand from a PvE stand point, Yes, it will stack bleeds but even with that, it still doesnt compare to how much condition damage other classes push out. In a realistic fight against other real people, this is a huge nerf. 1 sec of chill duration for 671 damage is better than 1 stack of bleed for 120. With the amount of dodges, invul, blocks, and immune, you are luck to get 4-6 stacks of bleed with a necro. Not to mention that resistance is becoming more available so when someone gets 3 sec of resistance, all my condi damage is useless and with people running -20% condi dur, all you need is 3 sec of resistance to cancel the damage. Also, many other classes now gain regen very easily which counters bleed and poison pretty easy. I agree that it was strong even with the previous nerf but instead of getting rid of its damage they could of toned it down to like 500ish @1700 condition and have the trait remove one or both of the other abilities chill gave. So it would force the player to chose damage over speed and skill reduction.
With the amount of boon corruption we have, other classes melt between the conditions we pump out and the boons they try to use that we corrupt. Even with a decent number of cleanses, it’s pretty much impossible to be condi free with a necro going at you. And that hasn’t changed with the change of one trait.
It has. If you cleanse the bleed, you are gucci to go.
Exactly. And melt is a strong word unless you meant us.
too bad the reaper runes are power based :p
Theyre more bad cz of smaller range, its 360 iirc.
And cz youre giving up a rune effect to reach lower medium effectivness than before.
If you keep loosing to condi mesmers, then your playstyle is too bad.
Seriously, those “my class cannot win against this pls nerf” threads are the worst parts after a balance patch.
Ok play with you for a bit.
How does:
- a not bad player on not bad build beat
- a not bad mesmer on not bad build
- reliably
- in reasonable time
- without rellying too much on RNG and the enemy making consistent mechanical mistakes ?
1v1 , 2v2 without an ele, 3v3 with ele.
Let the show begin.
Staff you fire your marks in 2 seconds and they youre doing basically 0 DPS for next 8 second untill you swap back.
Its reason why most run scepter/dager and scepter/warhorn in raids, if you need that extra CC just only place a warhorn in your offhand slot on secend weapon set.
