Now: 1-2x bleeds worth of dmg + 5x base bleeds

Were not talking about the total bleeds you see, but about DeathlyCHill the trait only generates 2x bleeds which makes it a garbage trait.

Im a bit surprised, theres something bothering me.

Raids are 10-man.

Why is power necro suddenly “the right to kick you because it’s not good and not meta” in old 5-man content??

I respect your PVE Raid experience, for pvp using the division system as a metric is more of a minus but lets ignore that…. did you simply overlook or forgot about the old stuff?

Power necro is and has been medium mehish there but certainly not kick worthy.

If you are clocking 10k as a power necro, then you are doing 1/3 less than my thief while bringing no party utility besides hard CC for breakbars, which my thief brings as well.

10k is absolute bottom tier DPS, even less than mesmers who bring alacrity.

I agree with the OP. It’s pretty bad.

Because so far, based on the numbers you are just making up out of thin air, you don’t.

I used old last known to me numbers for 5man.

I repeat. 5man. not your full raid buff and certainly not all the buffs which everyone said you cant even replicatein raids, so its an estimate and you need to always consider how reliable it is…. alacrity will boost fresh air ele, but not a thief autoatack rotation for example…
For raids reddit says 22k for all buffed power necro, so i think we estimate it safely as 2/3 not 1/3 of thief. So i shouldve said 12/18k for the 5man numbers, but i remember specificaly nemesis doing several 12ks with non perfect timewarp and with good timewarps he was over 14k.

And in a shorter fight the number will be higher with wells and the point of power necro is 5x target aoe and it has aoe blind every 20s – so as a direct example you can have a power necro replace a thief for the ascalon fractal where u kill those groups of guards inside walls.

Its not better, but it gets the job done and often safer.

Its the matchmaking, evan, it hurts

The range is from top to below 80%, as if nobody was playing primetime.

I call them one and a half cappers…they dont double cap, but one afk guards the node the other jumps around it and third is still attacking a corpse…..i havent beel bleed out a single time since patch just for example…..svanir killers, venomshare mains and worse hotjoin builds, “ugh what does this button do” if you observe him on minimap…

And that 2-4 out of 10 on average.

I run power for traditional 5 man content because its pretty chill to play but we need to keep in mind that you could run pretty much anything there and still faceroll it.

And even with optimal buffs on both, power is really far behind condi. And keep in mind you can’t get those sweet epi pings in the dps test area so the Necro dps in pic is lower than it should be.

Power Nec definitely needs some kind of buff both for PvE and PvP.

OK, for dungeons, tell me 1 boss that lives longer than 30seconds….thats 50% of the 5man content… condi only has the spin2win as a move with no ramp up…

Now fractals….i havent played them at all since update….how long do bosses last? for all the under 1min ones power should win imo…

How many live long enough for condi to be worth it?

Aaaand, dont forget:

1) YOURE resorting to LFG, so were talking LFG quality ppl, not your guilds speedrun group
2) if you wait longer than 5min, youd be better of 4maning it
3) instead u kicked a 13k dps necro over a 17k thief that spend half the boss in downstate

What I actually haven’t heard is from that most people justity the nerf by stating that you just need to combo RS#5 and RS#4 to get a decent return back. But isn’t that in itself a nerf because you have to input more to get the same result? You can’t use that whirl finsiher for something else. What about someone who actually combo’s RS#4 with another field isn’kitten nerf to them because they will not get their return in bleeds back since they didn’t combo the ice field?

Thats logic and we have a freedom not to believe in it.

If the group leader specifically asked for META BUILDS ONLY, and you show up with a power necro build (which is not meta at all), he can kick you. If group leader didn’t ask for anything, play whatever you want.

Then you should check some of the necro in pve drama that was around just before HoT.
But i think its a global missunderstanding of the term “meta”.

In pvp, a “anti-meta” is always present and even usually the one which wins the finals in a tournament. Its a description of playstyle.

in PVE, the meta = “DPS it down ASAP….and maybe bring a reflect”

So, and it has been proven, that in 5man power necro ISNT TERRIBLE and its doing the same role of dps just a bit worse… its not antimeta to have a power necro in a LFG fractal….and its far from kick worthy.
Some pros even: its super easy and consistent so you should get better results with LFG guys and if youre waiting +5min youre better of 4maning the thing in meantime…..just saying

A real PVE antimeta would be the cleric bunker guard you occasianly find. AND it still gets the job done

Disclaimer: this is all for dung/fractal ofc as theyre easy or just take 10s longer, for raids you do need to be strict as its all or wipe with nothing.

Scenario A
1) you stacked like +15x bleeds on a revenant
2) that rev is dead.
That rev would be dead anyway, since he ate the +10k that spin2win move does by itself.
That rev ONLY GOT BLEEDS since he ate the whole spin2win.

Scenario B
1) you did not make rev use all CDs
2) rev used his 13th dodge to avoid the long telegraphed melee spin2win of shroud#4.
That rev is alive.
That rev is 120% hp.
That rev feels zero pressured, he only has like 1x bleed ticking for 100 on him. ok magic, he has 3, wooooow
That rev autos you to death with 2k DPS or
THat rev can precision strike + evade you for 10k.


Scenario B happens 9/10 times.
Youre using a onetrick DPS finisher skill, to reach what was your CONSTANT MINIMAL dps.
Even in pveland, you could actualy use those finshers on another field instead.

I don’t get the point of those pictures. In the first two pictures you show that your build managed to kill someone in unranked. Cool, but totally meaningless balance wise. In the third/fourth you show that you can lose games and get mid-tier scores, but again nothing meaningful balance wise. Those aren’t proof of anything we’re talking about.

I used to win some 1v1s against top players with my MM build (pre a lot of buffs), does that mean my build was super amazing? No, it means I was a decent player with a build focused 100% on 1v1 that happened to win some 1v1s. They still would have mopped the floor with me in actual games (and often did).

Yeah.. I had a feeling you would whine about me losing those games and that it’s unranked, even though you know that has nothing to do with the point, namely that it clearly shows that you’re wrong, you can stack a lot of bleeds and you can turn this change into something good, you just don’t want to see it.
But no big deal, apparently there’s no way of proving that it’s not such as big nerf as you all say it is, unless I was a tournament winner or something, I get it. Sad tho.

Youre whining.

You dont have to win a tournament to win a brain and use it to realize that

you cannot stack the “chill-bleeds”:
- as reliably
- AS FAST (main part was front loaded non ramp up dmg)
- without doing a otherwise weird or bad skill rotation
- on a competitive enemy with a competitive build and class.

I appreciate that u took time to do and post the screenshot, and i will make a even simpler and clearer point, with ignoring the problems we have with unrank etc….

Again.. try to work something out. I already did and I really don’t feel a dmg nerf.

Also, have you thought about having 2 necros in a group that now stack more bleed? Since chill didn’t stack, 2 necros now synergize conditions more.

I just can’t anymore. It’s like trying to argue evolution to religious people.

I think even if anet showed him overall stats that condi dmg oer match droped from 300k to 100k, hed praise the “new buff”.

Thinking about it, in this meta of condi cleanse (mesmers and Eles) having 1 condition that can chain into 2 other condition is still quite cool. Remember, Fear applies chill which then applies Vuln and Bleed. That’s 4 condis for the price of 1 skill. CRAZY!

I just wish I could use base Necro to make it worthwhile.

I sometimes played leetos stupid gs thing, basically power amulet and chill trait.

It ticked for 200 base, and could reach 400s with might and vuln but at that point youre already winning.
Anyway, the 200-400 dps felt perfect. It wasnt enough to just kill someone with it especially stalling on glass canon is hard, yet it did enough reliable pressure.

So i think the thing needs its 200 base dps, vote for 2x bleeds, and duration being the balance factor

Dear Bawb, I’d like to present Rune of the reaper and shouts. This is turning out to be a buff

So you lose out on a ton of useful stats just to get one 8s (because no condition duration) bleed and short chill per person per shout? Don’t think its remotely worth it, you’re better off with a real rune set, and it definitely isn’t a buff compared to pre patch.

Yup, youre trading a rune of your choice (like soldier for condi remove or traveler for no movement hassle),
for potentially maybe dealing the same lower side of dmg you were doing before…. always….without your bleeds being cleansed….without ramp up…feelsbadman…

condi reaper is a 9.5/10 for reason that its dmg is easy to land and unavoidable

U then completely remove condi dmg from condi reaper, making it a 6-7/10

How does that “bring back power reaper” into a 5man party where everyone is a 9-11 out of 10.

You thought mesmers were stronger in PvP than Revenant or Scrapper or Reaper? Seriously?

The pro league tier list is mesmer and scrapper in SS-tier. Mesmer for portal + moa + srong 1v1 and scrapper simply for its 1v2 capabilities.

Rev and reaper were top dmg dealers, but for pure conquest effectivness they were a tier below.

hello.

in w2 z2 Tribulation -3rd checkpoint, the first fishtank + octopus.

WHILE ACTIVATING THE CHECKPOINT, IT SWTICHES THE FLOORS,

sometimes doing nothing, sometimes you jump, sometimes you port back to golden platform 1meter AND SOMETIMES YOU FALL THROUGH , TRAPPED IN WALL AN HAPPY ALTF4.
This hapened multiple times to me already, cant wait for more on my farm runs.

Please fix this as it makes us waste time and add a /sudoku command in game for sake.

Take 2 players.
They duel.
One is melee. The other is ranged.
At 180 range they can both hit each other.
At 300 range one hit the other, the other has very few skills that will hit.
At 600 range one can hit the other, the other can’t hit until their back at 180 range.
At 900 range one can hit, the other can’t hit until their back at 180 range.
At 1200 units one can hit, the other can’t until their back at 180 range.
At 2000 units one can possibly hit, the other can’t until back at 180 range.
At 200 perch height one can hit the other can’t.

Observations;
Range is its own defense. Range has more opportunities of strike than melee.

Conclusions;
Anti projectile/reflect/deflect skills are needed to put range vs melee weapons on an even tier.

Result;
We have multiple ranged attacks and types in straight, piercing, rebounding, unblockable. Ergo we need multiple forms of projectile hate from blocking, deflecting, reflecting.

Overall deduction;
All’s fair in love and war.

No cat sherlock.

The topic isnt a dictionary explanation, but how strong each side currently is. And its projectiles specifically.

Projectiles are dead basically.
A year ago a focus ele alone could shutdown a ranger or power necro team.
Now we have focus ele being musthave meta, with potential another and shared reflect aura

I speedran farmed w2 and it was a blast. If thats not your thing,

w2z3 especialy has many real hard jumps and on slippery platforms if your looking for movement key precision.

Otherwise, whats the difference between this and NotSoSecret, after a failed jum u just go to begining/check point, death is even faster than walking

Hello.

I would ask for a way to sell Z-123s (the skin tokens from each zone),

into something – lets say a 250x Bauble.

Many have already finished world1 collection and as time goes on, more will have those tokens, which were once a treasure pinged in map chat, instead we will have a screnshot of a full stack of them for sure.

Please let us vendor them.

Also skeleton, great find on the agony sigil over malice. thorns rune + agony sigil basically free up a sigil slot.
Just to calculate if its better to make it a malice and trade more vipers into sinister, bursting, or just let it be permanent 5x bleeds from earth/geo. My intuition tells me earth tho…

Trailblazer not worthy for raids?

1) i want to beat and thus get highest level loot fromhardest bosses ingame
2) i do not want to switch from my safe and comfty braindead gear
3) i do not or at least till now, have not spent 2hours as long as it takes to watch 2x woodenpotatoes guide videos and read a mettabttle guide to learn the boss
4) i want 9 others to teach me ingame, pressumably taking more than above time
5) i am ok with 9 others wasting 4hours trying and not getting anything if i am a “too weak link in the chain”

6) the lfg options for raids are indeed horrible as they were not designed. Hopefuly in future we get a surprise lobby for raids

Now this is not to make fun or mock you, but to show you that why others are also frustrated and want to avoid such players.
The difficulty bar of raids is also meant and good to stay hard, so really only thing you can do is train/improve yourself with guide videos and training groups untill your dps, healing or tanking role is worth joining a group as a normaly experienced member

P.s.
As for trailblazer gear, it is meta popular between wvw solo condi roamers.
You can also always use it on your own when in pve.
On world bosses youre still hiding behind the actual dmg dealers and you wont solo the 50man gerent just cz you were able to live an extra hit…thegroup failed because they didnt avoid the big hits not because everyone wasnt trailblazer or dire
Theres a gear and place for everything, toughness is mostly used in wvw and pvp, not in raids, sry

What i mean is before you had to go 20 traits deep to gain some functionalty.

THen they changed it to always be placeable.
It is just adding more functionalty, but some minority lazy guys complained. So the response can be just a simple l2p.

Now,
some poeple are actually using the official action mode, which is not always best for placing AOEs.
Yes, theres even the handy option to place the thing automaticaly at your targets feet. But the person said example of a stealthed target, and you know hes near, so you want to place it under yourself.
With action camera, you can only place it a bit forward and walk into it, or mouse click to put under your feet.

Having an extra toggle button, which when held places all aoes under yourself is therefore not against logic like it was in the lazy step before. Theres actual functionality gains, even if extreme rare cases.

So yea, i dont think its against their policy anymore, but more its not worth the time.
Its a complex scenario and that level of complex poeple already l2p enough to keep track of their mouse.
