But in this one,
the sigils really help. It frees you up from the usual need to setup poc+swap combos.

Its a glass build yea, and base necro lacks cleave…… but man, ive never oneshot a warrior so hard like when i tried this today

Terror and Fear of Death umm I don’t think so, but if it’s working for you good, I mean above platinum division. Oh and i forgot, dagger off-hand gives you 25% speed due to quickening thirst.

Ive been switching to base necro against double warriors since season start. 3x singets + coruptboon, relying only on DS-stunbreak is enough once u get used to it.

However,
I always played a more survivable punching bag focused thing, since i thought my dmg was too low anyway. Like double necro vs double warrior, if 1 is reaper 1 base mmm they just melt…

So i tried ceimash version,
and took both fear trait + the glass amulet….oh boy its waaaay better than having to setup a POC combo. Its hard to believe, but trust me, take the sigils and even the stupid fear rune+golem, take the signets cz youre glass anyway and u will oneshot warriors

In terms of rotations or where to move:
You never want to 1v1. Poeple have come to understand its a waste to have their support ele stuck in 1v1 and go to swap him out. Necro is the yingyang with ele, just dmg.
Yes youre against new bad players who you can beat 1v1, but this is the general guideline.
You go to big fights with your ele, you down and then you cleave the body to prevent rezz that is main job of necro, then you chase next kill and ele follows shortly to next fight or you retreat back to him.

In terms of how to fight:
Defense – combo/sync you shroud with healer. you cant get healed while in shroud so you cant afford to waste 20k heals…have eye on your ele/druid and exit shroud if you see them go water/blueavatar form to get healed…
Kite- stand behind objects, learn and stand on non teleport spots, fight near ledges to make enemy dodges harder, jump on weird rock spots to make harder to follow you with melee attacks
Attack – necro is a facetanking sponge, where as other classes are more cooldown dependant. A guard may seem full hp after 30s of invulnerable blocks, but if he used everything he will go down in next 5s.
So with necro its mostly how to stay alive long enough – while still doing enough pressure to force cooldowns- , then you just have to prevent escape rather doing an optimal DPS combo.
Make sure your abilities hit, stow weapon if you them blocking, invulning, evading, teleporting out of range etc.

Since noscoc VODs are sub only, i atm recommend you check out ace as one the good EU necros

Its a clear buff of a few 100 range vs swiftness only,

but mostly its for repositioning vs powercreeped snares.
You still take damage.
You still cant do damage to others, which are perma evading for ex.

The wish for instant wurm and base shroud #2 target port so we can climb ledges is what is meant to stay a wish.

I seriously though about it, but i only wrote it as a parody post once.

I SERIOUSLY BELIEVE GRATSWORD #2 GRAVEDIGGER “COULD” EASILY HAVE SUPERSPEED ON IT. AAAND AN EVADE.

Basically im looking at the counterplay optons and reward for landing the skill:
- use dodge to evade
- invuln
- block – 50/50 cz our anti-block isnt instant like warriors
- interupt – lots of random CC todays for a 1.25s cast teamfight ability
- blind/aegis – ahh the rnadom blind block, surely it only happens 0.00001% of times
- walk out of range – how does a melee reaper fight against getting kited by everything?

Bassically i kinda cant see a fight deciding big hit having walking as a valid HARDCOUNTER. I want the ability to FORCE a dodge. IT WILL HAVE SAME EFFECTIVE RANGE AS WARRIOR gs F2, just actually having a clear tell.

and it heals necro for 200hp no 5.000, man that added effect Joke aside, you see where im aiming at? you have 2-3 usualy 4x rotations where you can EASILY dodge the big hit, but by then stuff should start dying someday.

I doubt Anet would ever give us superspeed (atleast for core necro) since we are supposed to be the “slow” class. So i think we should go with something more realistic.

I get what youre saying but we gotta push them from their wrong path. They sometimes surprise us like when we randomly got corrupts on an autoattack.

So id push for a simple addition of existing effect, rather than each individual having rework or new mechanics ideas.

Well a corrupt on an autoattack is more in line with Anets theme for necros though…

I mean giving superspeed to necros is like giving chill to warriors.

i really dont get the hate.

We are meant to be hard to get away from. It is an evasive defensive get out of here type stunbreak utility. To follow the powercreep,
(yes theres also more cripple and chill condies even guards which were forbidden snares have huge cripples now) ,
it is simply buffing the skill but keeping its purpose identical to original design.

it fits thematically 100%
balance wise its up to htem if we get 3 seconds or the full duration.
Keep in mind this is not reflection and protection which other have other their SSpeeds so youd still get hit hard.

Thieves are meant to be one of the fastest classes (if not the fastest class). They also have the lowest health pool, Necro is the medium health pool I believe. Maybe something to take into consideration?

i agree. also necros have the highest health pool (like warriors) + the life force on death shroud that scales with vitality (if you have 27 k health expect to have another 23k deathshroud…also all life force regen skills are % based)

Idk why i even comment to new poeple who think around the text that pops under character creation……. ugh ok lets do it:

-and necro GS is supposed to be SLOW and BIG HITS…. yet its auto hits around same as necro dagger AND when it goes into TURBO FINISH OF MEGA MODE , its about equal to what thiefs regular autoatack is from start.

Health pool size doesnt matter in any gamemode.

NS is 330 damage in 2.04 sec (161.8 DPS) and DS is 294 damage in 1.68 sec (175 DPS) assuming tooltip damage. In other words, NS is a bit slower because it does a bit more damage. If they increased the speed of NS to 1.89s instead of 2.04s the two attacks would have the exact same DPS, just 0.15s faster

The other parts of the two auto attacks have the exact same attack speed.

You are COMPLETELY WRONG.

This is same logic as why im asking, why did they split identical animations, when even balance wise both power thief and power necro needed PVP love and power needed PVE love even more.

You only used the first skill and the major DPS boost comes when thief recieved 0.35s AFSTERCAST SHAVE. look:
necro
330 + 257 + 444 / 2.04s = 1031 / 2..04 = 505 dps

thief
294 + 312 + 403 / 1.68s =1009 / 1.68 = 600 dps

That is 20% stronger auto in pvp + more useful skills and gap closers
And 20% + 20% extra MODIFIERS in PVE

A summary.

Jan26-2016 , thief got dps increase by faster sword and dagger animations. The purpose was officially explained to be to deal with the new broken revenant.

In same patch necro got unexpected corrupts on both dagger and scepter auto. The purpose was probably same, to deal with the power creep of boons, especially rev and other which held even full resistance uptimes.

Half year later, July26-2016
Necro is specifically buffed / fixed on power side, recieving speedups on the loong channels. 3-moths later the trashsword recieves its first speedup and axe another dmg increase. This is where power necro 1st time since HOT takes over, or is at least and equal choice, but all with axe.

MY QUESTION:

Why isnt necro dagger auto using same speed up animation as thief?
They were almost identical power since launch and never has power necro DPS been something outstanding, PVE or PVP (in pvp its limitied with necro being slow and complains were ON 1hit KO PROCS NOT ITS DPS)

Thief autoattack is now something amazing, both in PVP and even worse in PVE.

I would kindly ask for the necro dagger auto to match thief, and probably add greatsword another animation speed up, the DPS is lacking in PVE, in PVP it can hopefully be split adjusted by a few % if needed.*

THE MAIN REASON CTTB IS BROKEN, IS BECAUSE ITS 100hp lifesteal CAN THEN BE COMBOED INTO A 200hp lifesteal gravedigger.

You need to balance from top, new players can always get better, but top legendarys cant do anything about this.

Hello.
Given the powercreep and limited out of jail cards necros have, id suggest the utility spectral walk having superspeed for its duration.

Theres been ideas of it having a port and THEN you can use the walk thing, but i think that the devs dont love us enough for that. Superspeed would make sense thematically as well as being quite effective in realistic pvp.

It would allow for fast repositioning after a focus fire, which usually requires dodges or landing a transfer just to clear the soft cc.

Please vote for superspeed at next big reddit post where devs actually listen.

Ask Devs (Evan?), some1 play for 8-2 got 1200, some1 play 5-5 and got 1800 (not me)

Old legendary player goes 5-5 vs other legendaries in placements. He stays in legend.
Disclaimer: actual elo legend from before, the hidden mmr, not the pipfarm legend.

Old silver player goes 8-2 vs other silvers/golds. He gets placed in gold.

Makes sense? ok.

Last case, smurfing.
Any alt account is probably a new account, thus hes starting from the low 1200 like every new player. Win 10-0 and youll be around 1200+(10×40)= 1600 , or lose all and sink to 800 bronze.

How to make core necro viable again

For those of you that dont know. Dark path actually used to be ground targeted (with 900 range) but it was changed in the beta so it is unlikely that Anet will ever undo it. It doesnt fit with Anets idea that necros are slow.

guardians are supposed to be slow and strong when their long CDs are up. But cz necros were once strong on condi side, their defensive CDs are now sub 40 range, cant wait till they become single digit.

warriors are heavyweight kenyans.

necros in old days used movement runes, wurm, walk….and they were still considered slow and catchable

I know its a dream, but i mainly dream of necros getting functional skill, such that are always usable, not playing tyria3D avoiding pebbles and searching for non-steal spots. but anet has to reinvent and give each class a different wheel

Its pretty harsh to accept that you cant 1v1. Anything.

Im in legend now and have caught up to the meta, but i always wanted in my mind something that can just reliably stomp poeple
Like an extra transfer, or stunbreak, or whatever…but it never works.

So now i just instanly run or go yolo into 4 poeple and my ele just somehow keeps me alive or i get rezzed 3 times then after 5minutes “the squishies” run out of invulns.

It hasnt always been the case, necro used to at least not have hardcounters so i guess the majority hasnt adapted yet.
Being a yin-yang with ele, and even there some eles try to hold 1v1s with a support role -.-

aaand what others said, you can and do “randomly die” with necro. Always keep the bad guys away from him and have trigger finger on rezz

i agree with this, power necro needs a huge buff especially when it lacks in every other area such as blocks/evades/invulns/buffs/utility

Remove the ridiculous aftercast on Gravedigger and buff its damage, buff Reaper Shroud so it’s actually a DPS form you build up life form for.

Change Shivers of dread garbage minor to +10% extra damage to chilled/crippled targets.

Gravedigger definitely needs an aftercast shave and possibly a slight cast time reduction, but its damage is fine. Even with our meagre damage modifiers, it can pump out up to 30k in one hit. That seems much more reasonable if the entire cast time and aftercast was closer to 1 second rather than 2.

what is 30k in one hit?

is that a lot?


joke aside graveddiger is equal to thief auto in dps, make your own opinion out of that.

We got promised a good melee dps and we got 2, so we have total of 3 melee power weaponsets to use – all of which are still bad (PVE vise)

Joke aside they just need to copy what already works
-some small stab during one of the channels, could even be 4 as its a rezz but id prefer being 5 and 4 getting a condi, its 2 less stacks vs reaper spin anyway
-a faster auto, dps stays same but less clunk – blinds are basically 1.5s stuns for this

If i winn a duel over a point i often don´t stomp. I autoatack while caping and if hes on point i will push him out if i can so he dies when i move on … This is part of tactics ….

This tactics are counter intuitive for the majority.
For the ones who know about it, it just adds forther snowball potential, the game doesnt lack that.
Also there is not much risk/reward play going on – the vast majority of times:
-stomper is healthy enough that he can 100% stomp/cleave even if rezzer comes
-stomper is soo low he would 100% die himself – but help simply cannot come in time
-rare occasions where sneaky rezzer comes from 2000 range + downed body has avoidance ready + stomper doesnt have stability etc…
-the majority of the “whoa” rezzes are just power rezzes on 2nd attempt, nothing really spectacular

Also consider this:
-a steady 4v5 snowball is boring to watch, yet it can win you whole match
- a big 3-man wipe CAN result in only 2-1 or 2-0 cap, because you will have equal 5v5 fight in 30seconds

So i ask you, what is better for game
- more action, more equal pushes
- players retreating and standing still waiting, like seen in Overwatch?

Pvp meta and antimeta is defined by what most poeple run.

It took
-warrior, who was always 1v1 counter, to get the healing buff
-DH, getting from 3x /40s cleanse a buff to 5x /25s
-scrapers and druids moving to healing amulets without toughness
-eles losing cleric amulet, gl killing that with power
-aaand necro itself getting a channel speed up time and 4th damage increase since launch.

you could kill most stuff easier with condis, now its easier with power.
and before you had to deal with a meta condi necro on enemy and power relies even more on allied cleanses and heal to keep him slashing in melee.

meta is meta for a reason.
what youre complaining about is meta builds forcing synergies and being worse without that coordination.
The main point of meta however is having best matchups against everything, if you know a specific name or see a triple class stacked -then by all means go hardcounter them- but the other 8/10 majority of games meta will win.

Fix Character Select Respawn

My plan is to set the respawn time to default (15 seconds) plus the maximum amount of bleed time they could have suffered on disconnect. This should be the most fair for everyone. If you accidentally d/c, then you want to get back in as soon as possible.

If there is respawn time left on reconnect, the player will be killed.

shroud massive yet gest cleave in game aka spin2win is 300 range

Its like pih from overwatch,
its okay to get unlucky hooked around a corner …but you shouldnt get hit and pulled through several dimensions.

Make it 300 and it will be a normal overpowered move, and warri will get some other nerfs elsewhere…. 450 range is a meme

Idk what you want to acomplish with the high MMR point.

The higher you go, the more necro becomes free food and the more perfectly invicible thiefs get. The argument should be more in lines of how close to perfection can you get and if the matchups are balanced at that level.

As for the headshot spam,
given this is a thief vs necro whine post, bith sides are right.
Necro has zero sustain so it literally does to headshot spam. 411-411-doge-doge-31-done.
However all other classes have ctazy sustain, so you need a crazy good played thief and that 10k extra dmg to even kill them 2v1 in reasonable time.

the concept was great because people would never throw games, everyone would try their hardest till the end.. hell i remember WINNING 2 pips from a LOSS, would be nice if they brought it back glitch-free

The concept was liked because it always awarded the winner with same ammount.
It was exactly the 0 pip losses that produced the average “0.25 pip per game climb” minimum.

It would look something like this now:
-normal game. winner +15 loser -15
-close 400 + game, winner +5 loser -5

It would leave a bitter taste for the underdog, who fought hard against better enemy – only to recieve a mediocre award because he didnt stomp the stronger enemy harder.

It is a logical point – as a close game could indeed have gone either way. just depends if it will give poeple enough drive.

Overall the system is working.

All the top players win 3 lose 1 only to remain on same spot. Thats just cz the high has no higher end to 50/50 against.
The good side is, if youre happy with anything around top100, you can play lots of games and all the other top guys will tryhard – giving you lots of good matches.
If you wanna tryhard for top20, you might want to not play, skipping those late hours or drunk nights fun

Dont forget,
that if you want a “failsafe system for close games” , youd also have to punish the winning side, like giving them only +7 for a hard fought close game that they were underdogs for, instead of +20.

thank you for the effort and quality content.
I want to add my and my friends observations (im T3 plat, friends vary from plat to gold).

a) Can a plat , rise out of gold , in a reasonable ammount of games before losing interest?
Youre playing extremely well. Lets just add 10 losses, 76-12 (86%) becomes a reasonable 66-22 (75% winrate). Instead of +10x14elo , player Xpleb is now 280 elo point lower than kitykitymeow.
Pretty much a whole division, and slower climb, more wtf moments, more beasts, more frustration…you get the point

b) Can every class carry themselves out?
Ill be specific even – necro, ele, thief.
Necro+Ele is obvious, theyre teamfighters, yet both cant exactly score fast, and they can often randomly die or another of youre teammates just dies too fast.
For thief Its similiar POV, a top100 thief that isnt sinderner, may still take too long to finish any of the “marauder bunkers” HOT introduced. Hes not playing bad, but the bigger match impact lies on how long the randoms live.

c) Offtime hours.
Id say this is biggest source of frustration.
Primetime you get “plebX” + 9 bronze or 9 silver, gold etc..
In offtime, you get the whole rainbow together. So a bigger match value and deciding factor is not how legendary vs legendary 1-2min duel will end – but rather who gets 3 and who gets 1 bronze
This point includes self inflicted variables such as drunk nights, its meant to criticize variance.

d) Did you have fun?
Lets say you were a missplaced average platinum pleb, and youve now reached your fitting division.
How was your yourney? How much was good and how much bad? Do you want to play more? What motivated you: challenge of tougher enemys, gold rewards, pure ladder bragging rights..???
A stupid casual point, but its theese type of masses that drive everything, try thinking objectively what was good and bad and how to improve it (ex. move 99% of gold rewards to legendary tier )

He started on a noob account which is almost like cheating. All you have to do is start a new account and you’ll know what I mean. You have a huge advantage in the early going on a brand new account if your an experienced player. I don’t know how to expalin it exactly but it seems like you get put on the team that is favored to win much more often then not. Take an account with 1,000 games on it. Get to lowest bronze possible and then after getting to the bottom lose about 20 games in a row. And then climb out of that. Then I’ll give you credit. This system adjusts to what your doing quickly in terms of wins and loss streaks you have to get the system to really accept you as a bronze level player and to do that you’ll have to get to the bottom and lose a lot there. Not get there and then win 10 straight.

I was pretty much gonna write about how SLOWLY, not quickly, the system adjusts.

Hes practically on a 80 game 1000elo winstreak, yet hes gaining 14 elo per win, as if the system is pretty sure he was at his correct rating already.

The skill is ok.

The animation is nice, its reliable and not ewww clunky for warrior, you can counterplay dodge it.

Now what doesnt have counterplay?
- passive stability preventing a well timed mid leap instant fear
- resistance cough cough
- the sustain warrs expecting you to dodge 7x of those before hot builds start runing low on gas

Maybe the power+reflect component as the hbrid condi weapon is even meta on a zerker amulet build.

2 – 6 DH in every match at platinum. As a NEC, I have tired to fight with them and I tired to play this game too.
Another way, That burn Guard/DH + ele ….. .. what is that combination? how to hit the Guard/DH? Team fight always get 10+ burn when hit their BLOCK!!! BLOCK!!!BLOCK!!!BLOCK!!!BLOCK!!!BLOCK!!! .
When I see them. Should I leave the keyboard and do not doing anything? or turn on that Healing bot ele?
The worse thing is 70% of DH and Guard just spam their trap and block rotation in the point. They even don’t use any dodge. Sometime, I don’t believe this is platinum….

Yes cheap invulns are a problem of whole game. its stupid that it brings a 100-0 matchup like burn guard vs transfer necro close to 50/50.
You can still transfer to other enemies, but yea it is a timebomb battle.

Power necro vs thief.
Instantly transfer weakness. At start, stow/restow weapon for 2 seconds, most will instinctively blow 2-3x headshot attempts. Try landing a chill cripple right after his dodge, it makes him double dodge.
Its not axe#2 that is key, but #1. Get enough autoatacks in -it has to be free dmg aka you freecasting on a nice ranged non teleport spot.
Also try standing on ledges, it heavily limits their movement, either you know where to aim aoes or he fails and jumps down and then you do some ranged magic on him.

Again, even as power necro, your job isnt thief.
Your job is to swing 25might autos at DH making him blow one cooldown after other. The thief will die to random aoes – its allies job to protect you.

Ah sure.
I think my summup was staff dps is okayish (but wouldnt mindish buffish ) -its when staff gets countered and does literally zero dps that its not okay

So for the #2 becoming a dark field to give it more power punch.

-i completely agree on 100% finisher, tho that means we can get a maximun after speed up to around 1.0s from current 1.4s
-lifesteal combo is currently extra 200 dmg , 200 healing. Its weak on both fronts and requires you to hit enemy, at which point you already won cz spin2win has neough power by itself… its global problem that blast finishers just dominate others
- i always wanted some instant defense, like blind on shroud. Finally getting blast finishers on axe and offhand dagger + getting them on the trait too = we could have an on demand blind combo

So its not bad, but require devs hearing our prayers and giving extra buffs to dark combos and givins us some blasts finally.
The direct and condi damage buffs to #2 would overall be much more impactfull. Ofc id take them and they can even remove the lousy regen we cant even use in shroud anyway, like i hope they know perma regen is a moo point.

Probably objectively worst in whole game, and definetly if you consider it is a newly designed, had a role to fill, was “meant” to be on the stronger side for promotion, has had quoted “a lot of hard work for NEW TECH” used and it still the most disfunctional abilities.

Greatsword IS crap … by far.

In geenral its is better to have clarity of purpose.

Staff is a utlity weapon.
It doesnt need to be ranged DPS weapon , that is job of axe.

Does staff need faster and more reliable attacks – to get less blind countered and fullfill its utility LF generator role ? YES
Does axe , base shroud needs buffs, in damage and faster animatios etc? YES
Does dagger need a dps increase like thief dagger and ability to stick and stay melee? yes yes…
Does GS need to be deleted? ofc

Im all for dmg increases to fill the ranged aoe weapon + utlity role, just saying single target ranged belongs to axe.

In old leaderboard it used to be a number of 50k players on each region, that were ranked.

How many play unranked or hotjoin only?

Its been stated by anet that pvp population total doubled since then and has been improving.

Rewards and leagues bring in masses, boring bad balance shawed the high end population tho.

The power build is for 2x DH enemies. If double warrior i get better results on base signet currupts.

It still has same problems as any necro currently, youre not the playmaker. You will relly on team to do effective +1 while you getting killed as a punching bag. You relly on team to peel and help you win XvX fights. You can win some 1v1s with this thing, but its again a bit slow and relies on your team not losing or letting enemy come for a fast 1v2 on you.
Its not bad, nos is top3 NA with it, its just like i whined a while ago – the playstyle is not always fun.

To answer your questions of “how do you then win a fight with necro+ele combo?”

You dont free-win it from start. thats all.

The defensive necro traits are neglectible and theres a lack of natural defenses like zero lifeforce and clunky abilities. -THATS WHERE THE COMPLAINS AIM-

Necro weapons by themselves are mediocre.
Necro OFFENSIVE TRAITS ARE AMAZING. Also necro often IS FORCED into OFFENSIVE UTILITIES.
Long gone are the times where you could kill something with a 3x stunbreak power necro or 2x wurm+walk condi necro. Our weapons are medium to weak. On contrast – a warrior/dh has enough pressure and functionality on weapon, so his main goal is to take defensive traits and utilities so he live lets say 2 of his damage attempts and maybe some move/disengage.
A defensive traited necro will be a bruiser like druid, not dps like warrior/rev/dh

And one of you had for me a funny matchup advice

-1v1 = dont cz you lost most, but you cant disengage and necro nothing works on roads, only on node
-2v2 = ideal, but requires ele and enemy has option to run, you dont
-3v3 = ideal, but requires ele
-4v4 = requires ele, too big if 4x spiked
-5v5 = requires ele + another support + dps peeler, too big if 5x spiked
X vs. X+1 = too slow for +1
BONUS NOTE = teamfights take minutes, a regulat thief 1v2 is instant kill and control of 1/3 to half of map

Do you see the overall % of how “amazing” it is to be “amazing at teamfights” ? ;P

The main problem of shroud healing would not be BURST HEALING BY ALLIES, but rather LONG PASSIVE REGENS as shrouds durations are lenghtier than the true invulns.

Then again,
everyone else has stupid strong passive ticks and survival is mostly dependant on cooldowns and positioning rather than having 10k vs 15k hp left – getting healed 0-30k then focused back to 0 seconds later is regular scenario.

Before anyone who doesn’t play necro gasps in shock at the seemingly long list of buffs, necros are actually long overdue for a life force pool nerf. There’s a bug since mid 2013 that reduces all sources of damage in Shroud by 50%. Or in other words, necro’s life force is acutally double of whatever number is displayed on the lf bar.
A bug that should be fixed, obviously. So if that happened some extra healing wouldn’t really be that outrageous anymore.

Afaik, what is stated in the wiki is intended:
“While in Death Shroud, direct damage is halved, except when the hit depletes all of the life force.”

it is absolutely not intended.

I mean from balance perspective. It is remnant from old spaghetti coding and the bugs shroud has, and theyre just leaving it the way it is as its not a balance outlier.

Necro main exclusive, 1800. Things that drop my morale

-ZERO SHROUD AT START AND BUGGY -23% LIFEFORCE WHEN RESPAWN TIME ACTUALLY YOU NEED COMEBACK NOT SNOWBALL
Its been said a lot, but having a ex. clear 50% EVERYTIME U SPAWN or OOC like rev energy would STANDARDIZE BALANCE a lot. Currently its an uphill fight with chance to get 100-0 anytime, nothing else is that punishing.

- getting outrotated,
even played bit of old wurm and walk – but its still more backwards tracing and juking than always usefull omni-directional instant ports

- getting 100-0
no low CD spammable get out of jail cards or at least break enemy focus chain.

- getting 100-50 or 30 just because I ate a random blind
It can take 5-10k incoming damage to cast next skill if theyre all slow and youre have go through a blind, block, rupt and possible a random doge. Necro gameplay was always closer to fortune telling rather than being reactive

- No self healing
I dont want to be a 1v2 scrapper bunker in marauder, i just want enemy to commit to my +1 like they have to on others. with zero healing you cannot comeback or kite 1v1 against a worse player.

- Clunky slow casts and power specs
Again, i dont mind losing any stupid proc passives if it turns the likes of greatsword jokes into an alround functional set like D/P thief.
(cast and aftercasts, LOS & Facing requirements, complex buggy tracking and bouncing over simple aoe effects, projectile hate is too common, etc.)

Just a consistent standardized improvement nr(1) would help a lot by itself, then you see how many get out of jail cards we need. And the clunk removal is more functionality fix rather buff – it was great when necro had power and condi spec viable at same time, yet none were top S-tier-

THIS ! I’m also stuck in bronze hell, trying my way out which simply won’t work since I CANNOT carry an entire team, no matter which class I am playing.
I got so low in my rankings and that it is displayed for everyone in my fl or guild to see I’m utterly ashamed. I’m not a “pro” player but also not bad.
But now everyone thinks I am bad and almost no one wants to duo q with me.
This is so kittened up….. Thank you Anet for creating such a toxic environment.
And thank you for not giving us ANY statement on this.
I played more games than the “best” player of this season and I’m still in bronze.
Also I am under a friend who got 0 wins, and 9 losses.
How is this even possible? Can someone explain
This system feels so arbitrary to me….

- A bronze player who win 8-2 vs other bronzes will climb to silver, not high plat.
- A legendary player who lost 2-8 vs other legendary players will fall to high plat, not beginner bronze.

Does this make sense to you?

Even better, you played a lot of games – showing a lot of times – that your vaulue is where it is.
The good news for you however is, that
a) youre normally underaverage, youre not an extreme outlier
b) if you improve to slighty aboveaverage levels you will rise more tahn 400+ points….a random top250 player would need to train for 100s hours to beating current top10
c) the game is 4 years old, you can learn faster, there is lots of guides and videos
d) your enemies are also bronze bad , once you improve a levle above you will roll them

You missunderstood what placements do.

It was a soft reset. Nobody got boosted there by lucky 10x games and decay will purge those who dont play.

Your argument for a hard reset makes even less sense, if you forgot what it does to the “less fortunate” youre trying to defend.

Anet didnt actualy do anything new, except easily showing us their before hidden MMR numbers – AND POEPLE ARE CALLING IT THE BEST AND SAVING SEASON EVER.

If youre trolling, add more spicy memes, if youre actually serious, inform yourself better and observe the system a whole.
