Like zudet, i just typed a bleed tick into calculator at 3000 and 3250 cdmg, added vuln, then 5% to berserker and thorns won with 237.5 vs 233.6 for berserker.
You can also roughly view zerker as +5% and thorns as a +1.4% per stack, aka 4 stack to get equal to berserker.
For non raids, having a 20% (or +1-5k DPS if your poison ticks for 5-10k dps) higher spin2win which is starting rotation for quickiee fights.
That 1-2k probably are a lot more that what the power gives to your scepter autos.

Where the pitchforks will be raised is the slow pace of work. Complex bugs, lore, paperwork, bad confusing managment or just not offending any puppies or whatever, the results just feel awfully slow.

Also math wise, the diffrence with buffs is around 1-2% more dmg for thorns with 5x stacks.
Thorns
- 1-2% more dmg
- 20% more poison duration
- 100 less power
- 5% less physical dmg
- has ramp up time of 1 minute, not as effective in fractal/dungeons
Id say thorns is definetly better, even in dungeons the extra 20% poison duration addidng another 1-2k DPS would still be a worthy boost.
Also, when using epidemic, the burns and all conditions from other members should tick stronger from berserker effect.
Therefore, id say if you want to grind airship parts, its probably the best rune, otherwise buy berserker from TP.

Rune of the berserker im pretty sure is still glitched so you dont get the +5% condion damage in the 6 spot…you only get the damage increase
in pvp i just tested berserker rune, bleeds went from 96 to 100 per tick, without an increase in Cdmg stat. Poison and torment went up 5% also.

I still stand by do not use GS at all, it is a legit handicap and the only reason you can win with it is if you drop 2 tiers below your usual level.
Back to strength sigil, it has slower hits compared to d/wh so you will NEVER proc it off CD – even if by a wonder you proc it every 1-2s with shroud skills – a simple leeching sigil wouldve done more dmg and healing RELIABLY.
I personaly can only recomend GS with quickness + int sigils, so your gravedigger actualy becomes a viable play option instead of just a fake skill to force dodges.
I wouldnt even use strength sigil on a d/wh set, as even in best max case scenarios you get equal healing out of it while losing basically 1 instant cast attack.
Rise is overall better, like others said more uptime, easier…
The only arguments for armor are:
-6 seconds of extra shroud time
-stunbreak
-the minions + signet will make you pull condies even in 1v1
- SA pseudo invuln may under some circumstances – like 2v2/3 and youre focused with lots of condies – make you able to tank the condies with shroud
-reaper ditto: the rise guy will provide the other one with more target to to staff#1 or RS#1 while armor guy will not have his RS bar move down for 6s. this is only case where armor straight up counters rise
So spectral armor is more of a cover for lacking lifeforce.
And if you take chilling victory, you can squeeze another +5% LF from rise like with every aoe. Or you can staff auto while half invulnerable. Rise wins overall
Yes its true that no class is currently so above others, that it would be worth stacking it.
On the other side, the bottom 3 classes arent even considered viable.
And the top 6 classes power creep in defense has gone so up, that were only killing with dots making it a cooldown war, while the crowd always enjoys power zerkers oneshoting each other at any moment.
So yea, its not horrid zzzz meta of 10x rezz and 99% resistance uptime, but its just not the exciting one and a thrid of classes are left out ( or two thirds need more shaves rather).

D/d power was about the best non meta build in 2013-15.
Hot and trait patch brought huuuuge power creep, before that all classes had much less defense available, any class had a semi viable zerker build, provided a good pilot.
Now, you simply cannot land such stuff anymore.
Evade frames have gone from 10 to 30%,
self made perma wenes and protection,
Instant knockbacks interupting your combo and disspositioning your melee cleave,
Way more snares and random free blinds,
Even zerkers having such high heals per second that they can fully reset.
Also easier rezzes, like from 1 to 5 per teamfight, making high risk burst even less effective.
The only way to deal damage since hot has been ranged DoTs, which dont have such setup requirements, making it only a cooldown war.
Tldr
Dagger did 2k dps, now does 1k half time, 0k other half.
You can do 1-2 k reliably with condis.
D/x was good but only thief and brokenant were able to follow power creep with a power build.
GS is a roleplay weapon, its banned in pvp.

1) theyre OP.
The power creep train has been going for a while. The op dmg is about equal to the op defenses we now got, tho im definetly up for big shaves.
Otherwise theyre not exactly gamebreaking and are just a normal must have part of the meta, you can reliably beat them.
What i mean is the top5-6 classes all sticking out together and about equally.
2) Clicker safe class
a) yes it is super annoying having a low skilled enemy which stil produces medium good resuts on the battlefield. Counter argument is its still a noob behind the wheels and now you know which spot your PVE friend gets.
b) if youre in clicker enemy range, theres good news. You can move out of that range with minmal improvements. Tho youll face stacked classes everywhere, i havent got a confirmation but the stacking part of MM seems to be slacking.
3) Necros are cool

When they die they should be fully deleted. When they win a fought they’re rewarded with destroying the next. …….. I don’t think they should be able to have roughly full shroud upon respawn.

I think youre thinking from a top players perspective and only wants results, that 1-2 good necros are left between the top 3-4 teams, and that the necro vs nonnecro team will have equal matchup.
Thats too narrow minded and the value of 100s of forum warriors over last years all leaning in similiar direction is greater here. Its not about xx-tier balance but about design flaws. The good design suggestion can even be easiliy addjusted for balance, but the mechanic stays same.
Warrior – start with 0 , builds up fast
Mesmer – start with 0 clones
Thief – start with full initiative
Rev – start with 50% , regen or degen to always 50% OOC
Necro – start with 0
- mostly some slow unreliable skill generate lifeforce
- again 0 = freekill 100 = immortal snowball
As you see theyre all over the place. By using equality logic i could say “ele needs to hit 4x staff atuos before he can switch attunement”. Which is exact case for shroud and the autos are horridly clunky, all while thief blindspam 100-0 death you.
That is bad design.
Good design is to give just enough lifeforce, so necro isnt freekill, and not too much, so that thief CAN have fair 1v1 chances. (how good are thief 1v1 allowed to be is seperate topic).
This is all base mechanic, regardless of current state of necro in meta.
Whoever wins first fight staff autoatack body and snowballs whole game even harder vs Every skill or nonskill necro gets same standard ammount of lifeforce which can be number addjusted.
Pick your poison.
Necro – DS is halved upon dying
This one really buggs me and id ask for an explanation.
A) start with zero lf, instadie whole game
B) start with zero lf, die but respawn with some leftover, win next fight….about equal 50/50
C) start with zero, somehow win, charge full and snowball whole game
Tldr 0% = freekill , 100% = unwinable 1v1

It has been an often mentioned problem, mostly poeple talked about a value of 20-50% and a starting base or OOC standardization like rev energy.
lifeforce is even bugged since launch, you lose 23% on respawn because of vitality coding
so why would you suggest a more rng, snowballier fix with added penalty ?
Would you agree that the proposed change direction is better, making lifeforce less minmax extreme and easy to tweak the number if needed?
Id agree with it as whole package, the power creep should be cleaned up, just this one particular idea seemed weird and not pointing in same direction as a majority talked for years.

Back in the beta weekends, when still playing against non hot and not experienced enemies,
I actually had noticable worse results playing with a SAB green lightsaber.
So yea, for those who think that GS is not enough shooting yourself in the foot – add a flashy skin
I think too many are just venting frustration by wanting to remove everything.
If it has instakill , then it just aint a cash tournament map. But with the voting system, id even be fine with playing it 4% of time in ranked (iirc) , and i akitten it a ton in soloq.
There really isnt much cheese left in map, stealth pulls gone, panel takes longer, skyhamer = 4v5 loss for good players…. Even marks/traps can be dodged but i guess the average ones arent thinking that ahead…
My fixes are
CAMERA ANGLES and CLAUSTROPHOBIA
_side points have walls too close to node
_Side points have almost no manuever area towards walls, so you always walk OVER OR CLOSE A PANEL, when moving off node.
_Sides and cannon ARE TOO SMALL, Even when i played no pull no skyham teams, the cleave is stacked like a dungeon
Kill = 30s if not bleed out
Maybe if,
Pull = 10s timeout,
It would be balanced, a decap and fullcap if repeated, or temporary +1 compared to current OHKO.

Let your teammate win and DONT HELP HIM, help other side of map.
B) a bad xvx
Run or kite/survive untill +1 DPS arrives. Give up point, you will reclaim it in 4seco ds once help arrives. I repeat, you need to SEND A DPS WHO COUNTERS the target, not a 2nd bunker. Rule of thumb is 30seconds max
Or – just leave – and try make something out of short +1 time, or try a sneaky sneaky decap
C) a good 2v1
Chain CC. Chain CC. BOTH MOVE OFFPOINT TO SECURE KILL. The rest of team plays safe as possible, better kite on neutral than hold and die.
Leave asap, bleed body…depending on teammates health, send support or dps and other to fullcap.
D) a bad 2v1
leave it. LEAVE IT. LEAVE IT.
Example is thief or dh, whos power dmg simply takes too long to kill some bunkers. Force decap and leave.
Leave that fight, call it a stalemate and make something work on other 2 nodes….or send a better +1dps like necro for this case.
E) a good 1v2
Let your bunker troll them, win other side of map
F) a bad 1v2
Teammate is beyond saving once support gets there, and even then its 50/50 again. Let your teammate stall as much time as possible before dying ON POINT. You push the other side of map meanwhile. Best example is necro, no invuln so no point in fighting a 2v2 with low hp necro, let him plague and sacrifice him. He can even retake node if good 1v1
G) teamfight aka 3v3+
Chaotic aka more RNG risk
Anyone can randomly fail and die
Nobody can die or permarezz with bunkers present, trio bunker can 3v4 or 4v5 for minutes
They often take too much time
You can send 1 person into stalemate on far, just to break them up
Usualy let your bunkers troll outnumbered, while your dpser make quicker kill
Class roles.
Ele- healbot, can maybe get 1x rezz
Druid, scraper- rezzbot, staller, good 1v1
Necro- + 1 instakill, -1 instadie, 1v1 better assaulter than defender
Rev- mobile +1er, a good one with support can permadodge
Condi mes – a more mobile necro with less dmg but portal + moa, only assault
—-
Thief – cant xvx, only +1
Warri – a condi 1v1 or +1er, runs out of steam in teamfight
Dh – noobkiller but also runs out of steam, can 1v1 squishies
Matchups
70/30 – good mu
50/50 – stalemate, nobody dies
50/50 – somebody will die
30/70 – bad mu
I think this is a good summary of “rules” or mentality for team to follow. The rest is mechnical skill aka how you actually fight.

If youre playing right now, its offpeak hours, so dont expect anything.
Otherwise, also dont expect “much” of a division = skill relation
Third and most,
dude its only 1 division difference. From those 10 players, it is very likely that some played 50, while others played 70 games so far and just cz of that small grind factor theyre a higher division.
2×2 premade, 320 score, it looks like a perfect normal match tbh.
Again, stop thinking that 1 divison difference is any indicator of skill difference, a valid complain would be if you have supergood (pro league) or superbad (svanir killers) type of players with you too often.

C —- perfect, keep trolling, if they leave you 1v1, can you win? probably, ill force decap for sure

b) if you dont get it, youre probably top 90% max soloq, who only counts 1+1+1=3 instead of sorting classes by bunker/dps and you never fight off-point

Insteead of witchunting “why did you go far” , poeple should spread knowledge of “why are you so inflexible to leave a bad fight and take other 2 good ones” instead.
If you hate far pushers, youre limiting yourself to a lower level of play. Watch some esl footage and only watch the minimap while thinking.
The only times I would not push a 3cap is if enemy has a 0 sustain comp like 3-5 thieves+necros , meaning they will 100% lose a longer teamfight, while if it was 2v2s their chances would be much higher.

You lost it because you lacked mehanics and would probably lose the 4v4 aswell…..The correct call is to either stall 4v5 FOREVER while enemy is 2-0 capped, even if ones guy dies you can spread to sides 2cap…the far pusher won u half of game, look at minimap and act with it.

Yes a 0-4-1 split is safest thing to do if you dont have any ideas on what to do, but it is far from best split….and the best split is BEING FLEXIBLE PLAYER, you move to and leave bad matchups.

the roles they take are almost identical, one is just preffered in the toptop finals level. Same as why for dmg teams take 2 power or even condi revs over carrying 2 necros.
Why would there be many posts on engi and druid when those are the 4th and 5th best classes in PvP? Rev, necro, and bunker ele are 1-3 in whichever order you want.

Necor and rev are top2 without a doubt…But no matter how stronger necro is, a rev is still the better one to be stacked cz necro has simply too many weaknesses, while rev is the braindead dodger.
Same for ele, it heals for a ton more, but its rezz power is way weaker and its not preferd to be in 1v1.
Meanwhile
Scrapper and druid cover 80% of the support needs you can wish for in a 2v2, better rezzpower,
while they want 1v1s and can live 2v1s way longer.
Tldr
3 druid 2 scraper beats 3 necro 2 eles,
and they do it with the good old boring outstalling….so why are pitchforks raised against necro ?

Projectile speed is the same as always, cant land kitten unless you are at point blank. Low cd? That’s why it uses energy genius, which actually terribly limits Revenant gameplay choices at the moment. Cooldowns with energy costs at the same time… bravo
Youre adad straffing way too much for real demo + brokenant is perma point blank melee anyway.
Theyre a currency without any sinks, thus theyre basically worthless. Anet will introduce new way to spend such items, the question is how soon?

Farming score is hotjoin level tactics Its more effective to get “afk on node” type of player and be 4v5, than having someone running around trying to kill bosses effectively making it 4v6.
Beside the score system is so useless i pray for the day they remove it and just make kills the tie-breaker that happens 1/1000.

Well the perma 1v1 protection uptimes certainly doesnt help good ol powerglass builds, but id argue that the area that they overshot with is evade frames.
Just check the evade/block times and cooldowns and compare them to resective base weapon block times (rev staff sword, scrapper hammer, druid daze uptimes..)

The new system made EVERYONE start the race from same spot. In unranked you get matched with fellow beginners of your mmr.
In ranked youre atm getting matched against everyone since division placement counts for matchmaking.
My best honest advice, is that you wait a week.
All great, good and average players should have left the starting divisions by then. You will then be left to fight your fellow begginers. Best of luck

-the mere fact u posted a screenshot with such a build indicates youre expecting total beginner to hotjoin levels of opponents. No matter your skill, in terms of conquest, youre also at low effectivness with it so you cant carry. Your options
A) wait a week.
All good, average and low players will rise to higher divisions, meaning only bad ones will be left. Win against those, then when u start losing to normal poeple again, wait for them go win ahead
B) accept that you just had bad luck.
Statistics is a thing, and a 10+streak WITH EVERYONE IN SAME STARTING POSITION is nothing special. Once bad luck leaves you will start earning your rightfull winrate
C) better weapon/build/class / yourself
Bassically anything you improve on will also bring more wins

ITS FIRST DAYS. ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN. You should not be surprised by 10+ winstreaks or loss streaks.
Everyone is div2, so anyone thats better than that, WILL win and rise…..the good thing is good poeple are rising FAST, so you will not have deal with them and will be left to fight your average guys SOON
a) if you feel youre a good player and had absolute trash team everytime, KEEP PLAYING. the bad luck will leave sooner or later and you will start riding the wave of good players
b) if you feel youre an average/lower tier player, WAIT a few days or maybe this week. All good players stomping you before will have risen to higher divisons, so then u can play against normal poeple
