People who can’t tend to call the opponent troll, scream something utterly incomprehensible
and finally result to personal insults.
GW1 Exclusives – Make them very expensive to keep them rare, but give us an avenue to get these that does not involve going back to GW1 which I doubt many people will do. I realize this might be touchy for those who have them, but I’m just saying I would definitely buy many of them.
These should never be introduced into gem shop. They’re basically just skins anyways, but they’re still the reward of hard work. Work that you can still do if you want, there is absolutely nothing stopping you. And “I do not like GW1” is no excuse. Should people be able to get fractal relics from the gemshop just because they do not like that content? Should people be able to get the completion star from gemshop just because they don’t want to go to WvW? (Or the opposite, they only do WvW)?
I’ll answer those questions for you: No.
Plain and simple. There is absolutely no need, and no reason even, to introduce reward items to gem shop.
I wish they would just remove the whole Magic Find stat alltogether.
It would seem that you’ve come to the wrong place. I think this thread is what you were looking for: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/Remove-Magic-Find-Stat
I didn’t start this one, I saw a door open and went in ^^
Fair enough. ^^
I just generally don’t like it when people post the same suggestion over and over again. It makes the forum bloated and takes more time for ANet devs to find the really important suggestions they are looking for. That is why, I’m trying to raise awareness of the search-function.
I never said remove it completely, I only asked to reduce it’s effectiveness from dungeons only, the rest of the game can be the same. Gear doesn’t make any difference in 1111111111111 zerg events anyway
I guess I have slightly misunderstood your point. I did take good care reading it, but it is not uncommon for me to skip a line (That’s some reading disorder I guess. I have a very slight variant of it.)
Still, I rather enjoy doing dungeons with MF gear, it’s lot better than farming some event in Orr (which is bad because it’s not intense enough for me.) Dungeons are good, since you get “events” nonstop.
Of course, I make sure to pull my weight, even in MF gear.
Actually I think this is a nice change, and even if the price was always the same, it’d make more sense to type in the number of gems you want to purchase rather than the amount of gold you want to spend. There could also just be two input fields – one for the amount of gold you want to spend and one for the amount of gems you want to purchase, and typing in something in one field will update the other field automatically.
Couldn’t have put it better myself. It is kinda dumb that I have to play the guessing game when buying gems with gold. “Oh, maybe the price is 2g atm? Oh, no, that just gives 95 gems… lets try 2g 10s? Oh, 99 gems, getting closer, maybe if I added some 50 c? nope, did nothing. ect. ect. ect.”
But I guess thats such an obvious flaw they’re going to fix it later on?
Yes, this is an absolutely fantastic suggestion. Also, it would be cool if people made use of the search function in the forums in order to post in an already existing thread, instead of making a new one. Still, a good suggestion.
Using this aforementioned search function, I found this for example:
If you ppl read patch notes and wiki you see we get housing and guild halls in jan-feb. And that means, they DO listen to community, and they do wish to fill in the gaps they left in the game.
Well, as for the question “Does it help” the answer can be found simply by inverting the question. “Does it harm the realm that is losing to have a NPC commander take a tower.” Well, seen as the NPC commander is fighting for the realm and directing their efforts in order to gain a few points, it does no harm. Ergo, it helps the realm.
Then again, I like the suggestion of making the outmanned buff boost the siege damage. It doesn’t sound too over powered, less people have less siege in the first place, but they would gain a slight combat boost in stationary battles (Sieging or defending.) which would encourage them to use siege.
If I know the DL is 200MB, for example, I know that I can go put the kettle on and make a quick snack. If it is 10Mb, I can blink a few times and log on. Knowing this would be helpful.
Also, why the kitten can’t the game automatically update itself, like Steam, so I don’t have to come home and wait for a DL?
This message was brought to you by a Kitten with a Keyboard
Well, I guess adding an option for people to make some GW2 DL manager to check for updates automatically and launch that with the computer would be nice. Well, I usually remove those kinds of processes from starting with the OS, but I can see how this would definately be a good thing for people with not-quite-as-fast-internet-as-I-have. (I’ve never patched for longer than a few minutes.)
Also, displaying the total MB and MB remaining would be rather nice.
The problem is not about you or me. Do you honestly believe that that Guardian you ressed from the bosses feet would fair better if he was using full MF gear?
I admit you have a fair point there. Still, I do not really care if the group I am in is a bit casual or not. Of course, casual players might cause pain to more elitist players, but I’m not one crying if you got white gear, I don’t mind blue, I definately don’t mind green. Sure, I got exotic myself, but if we are able to do the dungeon/fractal I don’t mind if you run around naked. And yes, I once did low level fractals (under 10) in a super casual group, with people running around naked / half naked. Sure, it took longer, but if you want speed, you don’t want PUG in the first place.
Unless there is a way to determine “skill” (there isn’t) someone using MF gear is 673 stat points behind someone that uses another Exotic set.
Okey, I think I misunderstood what you meant by “stat” points. You mean that MF is the primary part of the runes in the armor, hence making it have less of some particular stat? Okey, it would’ve helped me to grasp that if you had displayed the calculation for the figure you presented. But I got it now. Nevermind what I said earlier about stat, I thought you meant it had less defense. (Shouldn’t reply in a hurry without checking, my bad.)
Have you tried using search? Search the forum for “MF” and you won’t find any other posts but this one (I can’t see any numbers to change pages) if you search for “Magic Find” you will find a totally different post about different progression “Magic Find as progression rather than type” so nope there is no other general MF thread, I know there have been lots of others but apparently search doesn’t find them for some unknown reason. If you know another way of finding threads relevant to the topic let me know.
Here are a few topics I found with very little effort:
“Average Magic Party”
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/A-Re-imagining-of-Magic-Find
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/Average-Magic-Find-Across-Parties
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/dungeons/Magic-Find-in-Dungeons
“Remove MF”
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/Remove-Magic-Find-Stat
So the search shouldn’t be all that broken. (I know, it’s not working 100%) Of course, if you just type in “MF” that’s not really even trying.
Also, if the search was used prior to post this thread (as it should’ve) searching for “MF” would definately show something else than this post (which wouldn’t have existed at the time.)
Thread title: “Making Magic Find Useful” so posting other “ideas” here is quite on-topic, unless you want a thousand more threads where each one gives their own opinion on the same subject
“Making MF useful” and “Remove MF” are quite completely opposite things, are they not? Of course, “Make MF useless” would be the exact opposite of the thread, but “Remove MF” is still quite close. Therefore, it is quite off topic.
not able to, or not willing to?
to be honest i cannot comprehend that. what is the problem exactly? no hardware (headphones/soundcard), voip software (srsly?), voip server (u can just join some wvw guilds server, dont need to have your own).well ofcourse this is a bit off topic.
lets say they make those /group1 /group2 … chars
but seriously i cannot imagine you writing orders to 3 different parties, unless you just stand in the sidelines and type commands all the time. how efficient is that?
It’s more efficient than atm zerging. Thats how efficient it is.
The problem with teamspeak is, you’d first have to motivate everyone you have with you to download it. I can’t even get everyone in my guild to get into teamspeak, since they aren’t HC enough. Not to mention that, if I was a commander, I would want to help my server at times when my guild is doing other stuff too, so I’d have a PUG at my disposal. Do I want to spend the first hour of my WvW looking for 15 people with TS? Or teaching 5 of some total newbies on how to use TS? Or… Just use chat macros to give simple orders like
“/group1 Siege up, attack the door”
“/group2 scatter and scout around the target”
“/group3 Assault nearest supplycamp, bring supply, prepare for defensive siege”
If I have those 3 commands in macros (or if you hate macros, copypaste) it takes around 5 seconds.
Yes, this looks like fair and justified improvement to WvW. Commanders also need a whole lot of other stuff, but this would be an excellent start. As being able to organize the troops into groups and maybe know what he has at his disposal is very versitile tool.
But this would evade the money sink on the TP… Unless you take 15% as the listing fee, taken from the current lowest sale offer of the item on ItemToGold side.
1) Absolutely, I hope this will happen.
2) No, Elites are supposed to be quick and powerful with long cooldowns. Pretty much every elite is such.
3) LFG? Yeah, definately need this.
Not duplicate, simply make the stat totally worthless in dungeons so people stop using it completely, there, all problems with this pathetic argument solved. I can’t imagine anyone using MF and doesn’t have an Exotic set somewhere.
The original suggestion here was to give a duplicate. I guess you have a slightly different idea on how to “fix” this.
Are you serious? This don’t even have logic, a good player can easily keep the boss on him. Also if you’ve played a SINGLE dungeon (I guess you havent’ done any dungeon runs yet) there are lots of part where you have to survive (or protect npcs). Nobody is forcing you to use Berserker/Power gear if you are a terrible player you will die a lot. The problem with MF is that it’s worse than Masterwork, it does make a huge difference, a lot more than Berserker compared to Knight.
I guess I’m yet to see a good player then. But yeah, I’ve been doing dungeons for a while now, ever since BWE’s. (Ofc there was a cap between the last BWE and my first dungeon on the new characters.)
And who said I wouldn’t survive with MF gear? Geh, I’m usually the guy who has no repair bills, whereas others have broken armor pieces. And no, they’re not carrying me, I’m carrying them. I go get that guardian up from downed in the bosses feet in a stack of AoE, and still take no damage. I play an Elementalist.
Also, if your problem with MF is that the armor itself has too low stats, aren’t you coming from the wrong angle? They should raise the MF gears stats then to make them equal with other exotics. That would be fair, not nerf MF gear more.
Is MF still in the game? Yes. Then posts like this will continue to open constantly until this unjust stat is removed from dungeon play. Keep it for your personal farming if you want.
You’re supposed to keep posting in the same thread, not make new threads about it. It’s pretty basic forum code of conduct. Here:
Use the search function before posting. This will focus the discussion and facilitate a response.
As I said above, not share, remove it completely from the game, if that’s not possible, remove it from dungeons so it does absolutely nothing. Simple, all problems solved. And no, rewarding slackers isn’t fair. Effort should be rewarded, not the amount of MF you have
There was a topic about removing the stat entirely already, wasn’t there? I guess you’re just in the wrong thread then. This was about duplicating the stat for others. (Which also has several threads.)
Ugh, do you know what those 1c offers even are? They’re markers. Nobody is seriously going to sell the item for 1c, they’re there just so you can check on item’s price quickly in TP. For example, do you think those 300 something people offering 1c for Mystic Forge Conduit seriously think someone is some day going to sell it for them?
Obviously it would defeat the purpose of the Custom Title idea if you could buy the same text as an existing title. Use your head before you hit post.
This message was brought to you by a Kitten with a Keyboard
Or, alternatively, you could read the message I posted.
I view magic find gear as selfish. You sacrifice your party’s ability to kill fast or finish the map fast and in the end, you only get the good drops.
It’s selfish.
So how about magic find being shared party wide?
So at least even you sacrifice your ability to kill fast or finish the map fast, your team mates also get the good drops?
Or if 5 members have magic find, the total magic find percentage of the party are accumulated and the sum magic find is the magic find of each of the party members?
If that’s so, magic find is useful.
Asking to get duplicate of another persons bonus without sharing your’s is, in the very least, equally selfish. Not to mention they would have to do it artificially.
How bout toughness? That lessens your own armor repair bills while makes the combat last longer as you are not dealing as much damage as you would with full power gear. Thus people around you suffer from your survivability. (Unless you can keep that boss locked in you, which I don’t see happening.)
Also, this thread has been posted multiple times already, is the forum search function really that broken?
Anyways, I say if you share one, share them all. Then its fair. If you don’t, don’t share any. Then its fair.
b) Whiners can whine. This is an optional thing they would have to pay for. You don’t want to wait, don’t buy it.
c) Sez you.
b) Whiners are customers too. Providing slow service is bad service. They paid for it, it’s completely virtual, why should they wait for the delivery?
c) Seriously, who would want something like “Been There, Done That” if you could just wear a title such as “The Ultimate Completionist” without actually doing anything? (Now, we aren’t talking about the star, we’re talking about the title.)
Or whats the point in “God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals” if you could just choose to call yourself “God Walking Among Mere Mortals”?
Or something like “Champion Dragon Slayer”? There’d be no point of achieving a hard to get title when there’s dime a dozen more boastful sounding avaible for a small fee. Unless you think everyone would remember what the original titles were, in which case you’d have some prestige. But no, people generally don’t.
However, I’ve seen we have derailed from the actual suggestion.
Yes, I would certainly want to see my own title. I would want to target my self, actually. And I’d like to see my own name above my head, so I would see that star. (So I don’t need to ask others if I have succesfully turned it off.)
(edited by Fred Fargone.3127)
a) They can filter whatever they want to.
b) They could make you pay for a title and not bestow it until an actual person at AN reviewed it.
c) Current titles are meaningless to those of us who don’t care about them to begin with. This message was brought to you by a Kitten with a Keyboard
a) Yes, if they know every possible scam
b) This would indeed work better than a), but still result in angry customers. “Oh my gawd, I’ve been waiting for 3 days, just review my title already!” ect. completely unnecesarely drama.
c) This would make it meaningless to everyone. It is not an improvement, its a downgrade.
It is a type of bag you can craft or buy from TP. Item’s inside an invisible bag ignore bulk commands such as “deposit all collectables” or “compact”. They also do not show up in vendor view (hence “Invisible” so you don’t accidentally sell them to a vendor.) In a recent patch, they’ve also made the items invisible to TP.
It’s the perfect place to keep that Ori you’re going to sell later on, or that second set of armor, or that mystic conduit.
It could happen and it would have to be policed, just like names and gtags are. Anything can be abused. That doesn’t mean everyone needs to be punished.
This message was brought to you by a Kitten with a Keyboard
Yes, I know it could, but it’s still way more exploitable than an inappropriate character name. Those who make living out of scamming people’s accounts could just throw in titles such as “Moderator” or “GM” or any other misleading string, even if most of those were black listed, some people really have creativity when it comes to scamming.
Then just go around asking peoples passwords. Sure, your average player would spot the scam, but there are players who are more easily convinced. Especially if you have a title stating you’re GM.
I mean, there are a ton of people losing their accounts when they try to buy gold from an online vendor. (Yes, some people just are so dense.)
Not to mention that all the current titles in the game would become pretty much meaningless.
I would pay if I could create my own custom title….
I would pay $10 to be Black Goku, Commander of Butts.
And this is why I don’t see custom titles happening. That’s only like the second “I’d be…” in the thread and its already inappropriate.
I fail to see how having multiple guilds would hurt. In GW1, I remember finding a good PvP guild was a real pain. If I had a decent, I didn’t want to leave it in the search for a better. And if I did, sometimes the “better” had just “better propaganda” and I ended up asking if the guild I just backstabbed still needed me. (They usually did.)
Now, as a guild member, I can join multiple guilds at the same time. If there is a really lousy one, I can drop it safely.
Then again, as a guild leader, it is easier to recruit as people can join more guilds. And people are not quite that eager to leave when the guild is doing a slight period of inactivity. They’ll just represent someone else.
The current multi-guild system just needs multiple chat channels for guilds. I don’t want to swap between rep all the time just to find which guild has chatter at the moment.
[quote=1026628;Ravion Hawk.4736:]
No. Dungeons are ment for team gameplay. The game is already anti-social enough in many aspects.
If you’re having troubles go to; gw2lfg.com
An external dungeon finder shouldn’t be needed to fix things in the first place, even though its a nice thing the community works.
No. I don’t seem to have a problem and there should not be an easy version.
So, because you’re on a server with a high population, this shouldn’t be fixed for anyone?
There is no reason people should be forced to play at times when they can’t/Don’t want to just to be able to form a group to have a chance at the dungeon. The elitist guys who don’t want people with MF gear or level less than 80 should have the opinion to enjoy their own company.
The guys who don’t want to go through the trouble of finding a pug shouldn’t be forced to do so.
I’d love to do more dungeons, but I don’t, since its so bothersome to get a party in game. Or then I end up with a group with two french guys talking to each other in french in the party chat the whole time. Gah, no tact whatsoever.
Uhm, in my opinion, this just sounds too similar to fractals. Fractals are, basically, just boss fights. They’re not any super-long dungeons. They’re mechanic-X and a boss fight. This suggestion just seems to drop mechanic-X and the scale.
Yeah, having to drop my rep just to chat one of my other guilds is not something I’d like to do. And I joined multiple WvW guilds so I would be informed when they’re planning something, so I could join up and have fun. But… the chat.
You basically have 5 guild slots. In chat menu, add channels for guild 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
Well said Nefara, I couldn’t have put it better myself. I’m hitting that +1 next to your post, what ever it does. (It’s some sort of “This was an awesome post thing”, right?)
GW had a good and solid level cap of 20 for the entire duration. I don’t want to see GW2 caving in and raising the level cap from 80. It’s cap, max, can’t go past that.
Eh, don’t worry about your English, its fine and understandable.
But I wouldn’t worry about fractals that much yet. Yes, they appear as infinite endgame content (see, ANet listens to you guys. Don’t worry about it.) and are new and hot at the moment. So of course everyone wants to try them out.
I think people will return to regular exploration content when: A) They’ve had their dose of fractals. Nobody wants to do the same old same old endlessly. (WvW and sPvP are dynamic, they’re not “same old same old”.) or B) New exploration content is introduced.
All in all, I’d say its too early to start panic.
As long as its optional, this sounds like a good idea.
You do realize if someone used Gems to Buy enough gold to buy this Item it would cost them like $5,000 USD.
If some idiot is dumb enough to do that then trust me they got what they deserve, plus Anet just made allot of money.
I just had a flash with Bill Gates playing GW2. :P
There is one last possibility. Some dude just threw it up there just because he knows no one will ever buy it for that price. Pretty much using it like a bank. However if someone did buy it he has enough gold for just about anything he will ever need spanned across multiple accounts. lol
Putting an item to sale for 9500g costs like 475g, doesn’t it? O.o That doesn’t exactly sound like a bank to me. That sounds like robbery.
I am not a fan of the B2P or F2P model for exactly this reason. In a subscription MMO you can say, with a fair amount of certainty at least assuming they’re not a blatant gold buyer, that if someone has a rare or otherwise prestigious item, they earned it.
No, they bought it with real life money, they just paid in a different way and threw in some of their free time as a deal breaker.
They bought the game, then they bought the right to work to get the item.
To me, paying monthly feels like being forced to play, and I don’t enjoy it. Thats why, I don’t like P2P model.
Give everyone who manages to defend a keep while outmanned some “I survived outmanned 18/12/2013” -tshirt or something (town clothes). Thats about as useful as the current buff.
Yeah, I agree, there should be some little combat bonus too.
Okey, it’s been a while since I plaid ranger, but I think there was a method of stowing the pet away.
Or maybe it was what Torguish mentioned?
I think they’d have to stretch those rules quite a bit in order to block an honest attempt by the leader of a large, WvW-only guild to request some sort of attempt at engagement and consultation by Anet with WvW players about WvW gameplay changes.
That sort of thing isn’t an unreasonable request after all, it happens in other games and they’re stronger for it. The lack of such engagement in this game is clearly being perceived by players as a serious problem, certainly from the point of view of WvW.
Nobody is trying to block anything, who would gain from that? It’s just because of the way these threads usually go. A lot of angry people gather and start demanding ANet to reply to them, which is against the forum code of conduct. So the thread gets moderated.
Staying civil and abiding to the Forum code of conduct shouldn’t be that much tho ask, yet, there tends to be a lot of post in this kind of threads that is either very close, or clearly breaks the rules.
Since I enjoy WvW and don’t want this thread to fail, I just thought that maybe reminding the people here about those related rules would stop them before they break them and the thread gets moderated.
It’s extremely disturbing to see Offski’s honest attempt at communication with Anet being censored. That’s not indicative of any kind of respect for their paying customers.
The problem is, that posts such as that often go against the Forum code of Conduct. Or are too close to going against the Forum code of Conduct, which gets them moderated.
Here (https://www.guildwars2.com/en/legal/forum-code-of-conduct/):
Do not post petitions, “I demand an answer” threads, conspiracy threads, or comments about circumventing the rules.
Also this:
Do not post about locked, deleted, or otherwise moderated threads or posts. Moderation happens for a reason. A staff member or moderator may lock a thread before posting in order to promptly curtail continued comments. If you have yet to see a comment by a staff member on a locked thread, please wait for the comment to appear and do not post a new thread on the subject. If you have questions regarding forum moderation, send an email to forums@arena.net.
And this:
Do not engage in staff call-outs. Using the words “ArenaNet” or any staff member’s name will not expedite the answer to your query.
These are some related/loosely related rules regarding this kind of threads. Which could be the reason those posts get deleted.
Hope this helps.
(edited by Fred Fargone.3127)
Ohhh, so you basically want to add more Horizonal progression, so veterans can keep buffing their power seemingly indefinately, with progression made easier for the jumbo catching up?
wow I didn’t expect anyone to get that at all ..
Also a reward for killing stuff in form of loot would be nice, 32 mobs down and not even a junk drop. I guess that’s one way of making a “no-grind-game” huh ?
Yeah, I don’t really get people who complain the Orr is too hard. Even when you start fighting mobs, sure, there is the possibility that they deal damage to you, but its not all that significant (event to a staff elementalist that I am) much less lethal. And when I say that in any “add more carebears to Orr” thread, people just play the “you’re a troll” -card.
there is already another thread discussing the lack of guild management tools, perhaps you would like to add your well thought out ideas to that thread also?
This suggestion is just way better than your average “add a last online column” as it takes in to account the fact that not every guild benefits from it. I’ve seen some small to medium casual guilds who would get no advantage of last online column, but would start having hard time introducing new members to the guild if everyone could see the “last online column”. (As there are a lot of of elitists that, for some reason, want the guild to kick everyone who is away for more than 14 days, even if there is room in the guild.)
Therefore, being able to toggle the column is a great thing. Those who need it, get it, and those who think its an utter and total nuisance can opt to not use it.
However, it should be made so that you can never show it to regular members, as then they start wondering why its hidden. Which, for the large part, nullifies the toggle option. (As you’re forced to show it or people will mutiny.)
(edited by Fred Fargone.3127)
Umm… I misunderstood you, right?
Or do you really want the characters to stop developing at some point, which is happening already…
Get level 80, get full exotics. There, there’s the stop point. (Since legendaries don’t give more power, just skins)
Or, I misunderstood you, right?
How is that different? (Can you explain, since I am having hard time understanding the suggestion?)
IMHO, GW2 is severely lacking in general social and leadership tools in the UI. This is a very flawed approach for designing something that is inherently as social as an MMO. Good leaders make the game fun for everyone around them. Anything you can do to make it easier to help other people have fun is a huge win for the entire community.
If I was leading a guild, I’d absolutely need to have statistics available to support partial representation; eg. percent representation, influence earned, etc.. Without that, I’d probably just say “100%” required to make pruning the roster easier.
I guess you want a damage meter for dungeons too, so you can kick people who don’t do max DPS for their chosen class?
So, you’re saying there should be more mobs with better AI to make running around a bit more difficult in Orr? Yeah, I agree with that. There is like no challenge at all, even if the area is supposed to be all hostile and stuff.
bad idea leveling is simple and quick enough you dont need to artifically divide the community by level. esspecially since everyone is the same level once the get to a certain zone unless theyre far under its req.
True. A level chat would only be feasible for Lions Arch, and even there one would still need a global chat.
An alternative would be a button that can be pressed to lock the account.
Hmm… I’m thinking the support center will be flooded with messages like “Hi, I spotted this new button on my screen and pressed it and now I can’t access GW2 halp pleaas!”
And wouldn’t that make it easier for a hacker to cause extra grief with little effort? After wiping the account clean, hit the button on their way out. Now the legit owner can’t log in, wonders why and gets mad at ANet for whatever reason they come up with. (Addiction is serious business)
Only problem with party locking is if it’s permanent, some people get a license to AFK/leech.
And the current red-carpet leeching isn’t a bad thing?
Or…. make a counterpart for map ping appear in the field. No need to replace anything in the build. (it’s only visible for team members anyways.)
This seems like a good suggestion to me. Nobody should lose all the hard work done on a dungeon just because few guys in the party suddenly notice their friend logged on.
Nah, i just decided that i had enough reading so many troll posts, I’m done with both of you
Sometimes it’s fun replying to trolls, but this already got kinda boring.
Claiming anyone who disagrees with you is a troll isn’t really a valid arguing method, even though some people sure seem to treat it as such.
(edited by Fred Fargone.3127)
It’s because you chose to opt for damage. Your stats aren’t artificially shared, just everyone else’s. And they can’t help it.
If you want to share one attribute, share them all. Then its fair.
Enough arguing, better to just add to ignore and not read such trollish bs.
Right, suit your self, but it doesn’t make sharing one attribute while not sharing others any better idea.
Though you made a very wise choice dropping the first paragraph of your message. It wasn’t too flattering for either of us.
(edited by Fred Fargone.3127)
How is that worse than the current situation where you could group up with MFers and suffer the exactly same thing and at the same time not getting “rewarded” for it?
I doubt anyone would ever ask people to use MF gear if MF was shared, maybe 1/1000 groups would do it.
It’s because you chose to opt for damage. Your stats aren’t artificially shared, just everyone else’s. And they can’t help it.
If you want to share one attribute, share them all. Then its fair.
Besides, if you get maxed damage and a good amount of MF on top of it, isn’t it the same as wearing two sets of armor at the same time? (While others are wearing less than a full set of armor.)
The key word is SELF. Self and Group don’t fit each other.
Indeed. I got nothing against sharing MF if every other attribute is equally shared. Then again, if you selfishly want others to share their attributes while you can keep yours… Now, that’s selfish.
(edited by Fred Fargone.3127)
If you did that, they’ll you’ll get people demanding you to bring MF to join their parties, which is also a bad outcome.
Not to mention the issues this suggestion raises. Have a glass cannon and 3 guys with MF. Then go do some of the easier dungeons. You’ll get MF and capped damage. How’s that fair for anyone? 5th guy can be what ever, doesn’t matter.
You do know that a dead player is a useless player and affects the whole team right? If they intentionally use subpar gear and die it’s not only affecting them but me too. Simple as that. Since there is no way to know of their MF status (to kick them from the group) I need to resort to some other tactics, it works pretty well.
1) You don’t know if they’re using MF or not,
2) you just seem to be assuming they are since they die. And you don’t help them stay alive as they go down. Then complain about how they are dead. Sorry, I am having hard time following your logic.
Well it doesn’t make you dead by default but as I’ve said countless times you are intentionally gimping your character for personal gain. Why do that?
Some people do it because they are selfish, some don’t care what they wear as it doesn’t affect their ability to deal damage, survive and help their team.
Even with MF gear, I’m still the guy who survives longest, and usually ends up getting people up from downed state. Oh, I got skills for 8 sec damage immunity btw. I’m playing as elementalist with a staff.
Huh? If you haven’t noticed, with MF gear on you get a lot more rares + rare materials that are worth 100 repairs. You should do more research on the benefits of MF ^^ you seem uniformed
You saw the other staff elementalist here wondering why MF aint working for them? I’m also a staff elementalist… maybe there is something seriously wrong with MF and staff elementalists? O.o
I’m not getting enough yellows or greens to cover a few extra deaths.
The damage is 8% of the mob’s health, and you have plenty of time to do that damage in dungeons as, if you haven’t noticed, mobs have lots of hp there, you know even more than veterans. A simple run to a dungeon can saw you this, just one
Yeah, but a dead player doesn’t deal damage, remember?
I guess I was getting at it from an difficult to grasp angle. Sorry =/
Having MF DOES make you a bad player and it doesn’t take a genious to understand that.
I’ll just use that as the counter argument here.
Armor plays an important role to any build, worthless armor = less effective build, it’s very simple to understand I think. Also you totally fail to understand the main issue, read mine and Sleepy’s post and you might identify it, on my post it’s in bold, hard to miss unless you are blind.
I am half blind, actually, glad you brought that up.
Anyways, you and me seem to have a different understanding of what is a “issue” in a meant-to-be-casual game.
And to the above post, the first quotes are not even mine, i could answer to all the quotes but most of your replies are just again the overused argument
Oh, I was replying to you and mad at the same time, seems I got some of the quotes mixed up. Sorry ^^
