I think it wouldn’t be different anywhere else. I’m on Yak’s Bend and it gets empty that late too
System clock garbage.
Twice this week, while grouped with one friend or another, my dailies reset and appear at 4pm (for me) and list certain things as usual. Then, around 30 minutes later switch to exactly what the other person has in the party.
Today, I was at 60% already from 4pm til 4:50pm from what we had done, then it switched to 0% and had the guildmate’s list that I was partied with. Same as the day before when partied with a family member.
Intended?
Never had this problem…maybe a screen or two might help?
So far it seems like overall 8 players out of 10 do not want level cap increase.
Hopefully Anet caters to the majority.
Wait…is that what this is about?
reads on
Nope!
So where are you getting this?
Not a bug. Some may just not want your “help”?
Oh wait…cause it’s still called Guild Wars…I get it….
Does it matter? Why are stats so important?
They have one…it’s a mix of your story and the rest of the world. Or haven’t you noticed the link to Orr?
Human – Car salesman
I beta test more than actually buying and playing MMOS. The term has been around for a long time. Mostly uttered by people that irritate me. Some MMOs are designed so that it works well, but people latched onto it as a term and use it far too much. Like using the words “ kitten #8221; or “newb/n00b” without even thinking about what they are saying. If a game is designed where the “T” word doesn’t work, it baffles them.
@gestankfaust: same weapon sets as yours, still when your phantasms are up and mob is not targeting you, your work is really just waiting for CDs. Not normal mobs, think to dungeons where a fight (especially bosses) can last for a loong time.
Yeah…true that.
Had to mention…
“i am not so good at conveying my point without insults so kitten you!”
Made me spit coffee
Tis true Esplen….however…
I have rallied myself with my Guardian far more than anything else. Was cracking a couple ppl up one time cause I made it last 5 minutes against a boss. I finally got tired of the stalemate and gave up.
:P
I think you mean reviving from being downed. Then you have four skills to either eliminate what downed you or revive back up
In my exp…Guardians. #3 can almost raise you while being attacked itself. Use it then #4 which is the standard heal over time everyone has.
If this is not what you meant…then I/we are in need of more info from you
I bought a few sets of 5 (Gold —-> Gems) during the different holiday events. They’re just not worth it. Now I just roll a Warrior to level 7 and do the level 10 personal quest if I’m bored and want to “gamble” :P
Yup this is what I do to farm keys. It takes me 30-40 mins and you ALWAYS get a key at the end. Btw if you choose human and middle class storyline you shouldn’t need to lvl up to lvl 7 to do this. I easily farm keys this way beating the lvl 10 quest at lvl 4. Give it a try you just might save yourself some time and get more keys faster.
Oh btw I use guardian instead of warrior but I’m sure you can do this with any class, I used to do it with ranger and it was fine.
Which quest is that for human/middle class?
The common storyline (middle one). Although, they all work ok. Just faster to do the common. If on the lvl 8 part (you choose to defend the orphanage or the hospital) you find that one is killin you too often, switch up. Neither takes longer, but the situation and where the enemies are is different.
I use staff and GS with my mes and swap back and forth all the time. Plus I end up running around kiting the bigger mobs. Pretty button mashy to me.
Like Merc said….
My first 80 was a Ranger and it wasn’t hard to get to 80. Once there though, it was clear I wasn’t doing the damage I was used to and the pets were goin down faster (in certain situations).
Mes and Engi I have to 40 and it’s hit and miss for me. I like both but at times they are frustrating. I would say the same about an Elementalist but for different reasons. The constant swapping of elements makes it a bit more tedious to me….especially when I’m tired :P
I do love playing the Engineer though because of the kits. Bomb kit just makes me giggle when I run in circles and mobs just follow to their deaths. Grenade kit is good for group events and such. Stand back and lob.
My other 80 was a Guardian…which was too easy IMHO. You’d just get to 80 too fast.
So much kitten over dailies. Complaints over the old and new.

18 pages….All over something that is done by normal play. Only if you do not have time in a certain 24 hour period do dailies become something more of a chore.
I do mine every other day. Start around an hour or two before they reset, finish the first daily, wait for it to reset, do the next. Takes around 2-3 hours of normal play every other day for me.
I think some here are just hanging around to debate and nitpick.
I’m addicted to dyes too…even more cause I make them. Nothing is more satisfying than making the rarest color (unidentified) and using the hard earned (or payed for) mats and the double clicking to see?
That I just wasted everything on yet another pastel pink or banana o.O
There’s another thread down a ways that talks about the BL chests. A couple of us posted about doing key runs with human War or Guards. I get rare and uncommon dyes from them all the time.
Naked zone runs. Start new characters and try to be the first one to reach wherever the finish line is that you chose. Can’t use WP unless you die, same with Asura Gates. There are more rules but you can make up whatever else you want for it. My guild does these once a month and they have a blast. I have yet to do one.
The start and finish lines are stated just before you roll new chars and everyone rolls the same race. This makes it a level playing field.

Ah nice, I’ll need to try that. I usually pick human, but I always pick the first class storyline. Think the earliest I’ve done it is at 6, maybe I’ll try Guardian from now on too :P
I have been doing this from when I saw a post about it a while back. I Actually go out and do the first 4 hearts and then start the story. It’s a very good way to get your dailies done as well. Crafting for the dailies also gains a third to half a level when I do it. I just salvage everything I find and refine it all. I also use a Guardian cause he seems to live longer in the level 8 part of the story. If you group, you can skip some of the leveling and it goes faster. Usually takes me an hour or two depending on how fast I want to do it (I never rush cause, to me, it seems more tedious when I do).
Last time I did it I found that I had two keys! Not sure at what point I got the second one though
:D
DEAR GOD I MISS MY FISHING CRAZY DAYS IN WOW! D’:
In other games as well. Would LOVE fishing with the ability to drag an old chest or soggy boot full of coins out of the many bodies of water.
:D
I make 1-2 gold per day without trying. Rarely do dungeons, PvP, WvW, or Fractals. Not cause I don’t like to…just mostly don’t do them. Not hard to make money or get rewards (well…harder after the Nov patch)
You gave Anet your dollars for “Guild Wars 1 + Guild Wars Faction + Guild Wars Nightfall and got nothing”?
You got the same as everyone else. You got 3-4 years of great game play. You didn’t pay for HOM, so you should not get the benefits that were announced before it came out.
Why are you still arguing the point? They announced that if you bought and played HOM you’d see some rewards in GW2. You DO get what you PAID for.
;)
Yeah…cant. Would be nice I guess
Dodging is not hard. Most everything can be done in a normal day of play. Why another post for this?
No..
Legitimate complaints should be addressed on the forum so the game as a whole can be repaired and make it a more fun experience for all, not a select few..
Legit complaints are rarely posted here though. The legit ones are voiced in areas they can be seen. On this section, we just see the same whining over and over. With denial of anything good ever happening.
Are you all overwhelmed and speechless because of how fantastic my brilliant idea is?
No…but you have been added. ty
Right now the current system is very alt unfriendly. What I think is a good idea is to make the daily, monthly, karma jugs, and Laurels all character bound, that way if people want to play more then 1 character, they can earn Karma Jugs and Laurels for each of their characters and put in the same amount of effort on each of their characters and gain the same reward.
This would also entice people to play alts, there by populating the leveling up zones, since they know that playing alts are not gimped in any way, since their alts can earn karma jugs and laurels as well and not just 1 of their characters.
How….in the world…is anything alt unfriendly? What you want is just…bad. I have alts all over and don’t think I need to log into each every day to get bonuses.
Working as intended
1.) If you don’t want to be attacked my a griefing player pulling mobs into you, then you should then you shouldn’t leave your toon unattended.
2.) Exactly how do you get yelled at in a game without vocal communication? It’s not like you have to pay attention to those idiots.
3.) As for getting my daily done in Fractals or a dungeon… I don’t tell you how to play, don’t tell me how to play. I have neither the time or desire to spend hours finding, coordinating and completing one or two dungeons per day – especially after working all day, dealing with family needs, fixing dinner and children issues. I want to chill out and relax with a game.
Goodness, I wasn’t telling you how to play the game. It was merely one suggestion. You don’t need to take offense to every little post on these forums.
1. You should be able to leave your character next to a karma vendor or really anywhere that you know where monsters don’t spawn and be safe. I’m not saying leave it there for a half an hour, just long enough to go grab yourself a drink or something.
2. Forgive me for using a term that you object to. I may not have to pay attention to them, but it’s typically really hard to miss those /say bubbles when they’re in the middle of your screen and full of angry words.
3. I wasn’t telling anyone how to play this game. Climb down off your high horse for five minutes, please. I get that you work hard and want to unwind with a game after a long day. I’m not saying everyone should go and run fractals/dungeons to do this daily, merely that most of the people who complete this daily by going to lower level zones on their 80 toon just to find that mass of dead NPCs to rez have other options. Mostly because those people play for hours a day anyway.
I don’t give a kitten how you play your game. There’s just no need to be an kitten and purposely kill other players for your own selfish reasons. There’s no justification for that sort of behavior.

I can see your argument…but now I don’t care.
I think you can just hover the cursor over the name
Found it.
Sold by Forward Scout Greta (560 Karma) in High Timber Claim, Harathi Hinterlands.
lol…THAT’S IT!!
Knew I saw it afore. Glad you found it
I prefer the res rushing any day over this laying on the floor crap for up to an hour, i came to this MMO to play it not lay dead on the floor because i cant respawn and no one can ress me, bad mechanics only getting worse..
wait…GW2 bad mechanic? Getting worse how?
Never been in a battle where everyone didn’t try to rez and/or win the fight. How is that NOT the mechanic we should have?
The combat in TERA is far from outstanding. It’s the same as in many action RPGs. Look toward the mob and swing getting anything in that direction? Basic action RPG.
How do you guys survive dungeons, wvw or even open-world pve without dodging? o.O
Just fine
I cannot have the option turned on because i have twitchy fingers. I have died to it on may occasions in jumping puzzles and whatnot.
It’s Norn and easy to get…must…go…find…for…sure
Edit…dunno if Norn…I had it at one time. Cant find it now
(edited by Gestankfaust.4216)
Still not seeing a server needing to be merged. Out of two….both are/were doin fine
Why does there need to be endgame? All over the net, all I see is “sandbox” this and “sandbox” that. In a sandbox, there is no endgame. In the real word, the only end game is death.
Maybe they should allow permadeath so you people will stop asking about end game.
Could this item be somehow related to the Scepter of Orr and Vizier Khilbron?
You know…there IS a boss at the top of the Vizier’s tower…
Any idea/source on what triggers this boss? Does he leave a chest?
I was planning to go back to that tower this evening, it has always puzzled me. Lots of lore on top and nothing to do with it…
It’s actually triggered by a chest I believe. There are various things to read or look at. The one by the throne starts it…if I remember right.
At what point…in you character’s life…does it occur to you that you want a change? If I don’t think I like a class or race, I change/delete/start again right away. Is this something that happened after 30? 40? 50?
This…is the best conspiracy theory ever
People should not post the names of their own toons. Typically people think that their toons are named better but there’s no perspective and more often than not, they’re wrong.
People should just enjoy the names and not comment otherwise
Anyone who brings up the argument that you don’t need to play this game, in response to someone saying you don’t need ascended gear has clearly missed the point.
No…you missed the point
I do not “need” ascended gear to play this game…at all. Neither do you.
Want
Need
Look up the words
Ok…I read the rantings of the OP…then saw a reply…still wondering if you two have had too many beers.
Avatar…your post seems well written. But to whom did you write it?
I really never doubted you. Just doubted the theory. The fact that they would provide this as an answer is just making me believe that there is indeed a bigfoot.
You are misunderstanding…as I have said, I meant the back piece…period. Never found anything I could apply to the upgrade slot. It was a bit off topic, and a random joke. But still what I meant
ah, you mean the non-ascended backpieces? It takes the same upgrades as jewellery pieces – it just needs to be viable for backpiece’s level. That last part is important – some backpieces are considered to be level 1 equipment, so only basic tier 1 unjewelled gems are compatible with them.
:D
Thanks for that reply. I realize this in’t the place…and I was mostly joking, but clears it up.
Thanks again
It’s not about punishing. I guarantee if I went down it was because I was there in the front and doomed to go first most of the time. Or maybe one of those instances where effects downed me. There’s no fault to be given unless a person was just being stupid. Regardless, if you see a downed person in battle, they are your team, not some contestant that lost.
I installed TSW after I started getting bored here. A bit darker visually and story wise. There actually IS a story, everything seems to ‘mesh’ much more completely. I have not made it out of the ‘start area’ quite yet, still trying to milk my $$ worth out of GW2.
I bought TSW when it first came out, and I really like a lot of things about it – the setting, the “investigation” missions that involve going outside the game to get information, the classless system, et. al. The problem I had with it was that the combat was boring and clunky, and there was just way too much of it. I couldn’t do the parts of the game that I was interested in, without trudging through stuff I hated.
GW2 lets me do what I’m in the mood to do and there’s at least some reward for doing it, whether it’s exploring, crafting, gathering, WvW, running dungeons, or just cutting a swath through the risen to see if I can beat some heavy moldy bags out of them. And if I get bored of the jungle, I can head over the the Shiverpeaks for a change of scenery, and still get rewards commensurate with my level.
I like this post. I felt the same way. Loved the world, but it offered little choice to me. The crafting was not crafting IMO. The build there needed to be real close to perfect, here you can fake it.
GW2 offers me plenty. Even after getting to 80 twice. Now I wanna do it with another class.
